The clergyman is seen on his knees praying for both countries.

Nigerians have however reacted to the photo. Many asked the man of God to leave Ukraine and concentrate on Nigeria which has a plethora of security issues.

Nigerian singer, Portable has challenged the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, over the recent arrests of some of his colleagues.

NDLEA has in recent times invaded the homes of Nigerian celebrities and arrested them over drug-related issues.

Recall that a comedian, De General, was arrested and convicted of drug trafficking by a Federal High Court in Lagos alongside Caleb William, for unlawfully possessing 15g of cannabis and 14g of tramadol in Lagos State.

On Thursday morning, NDLEA operatives in Lagos invaded singers Zinoleesky and Mohbad’s residence and arrested them for being in possession of cannabis and Molly.

Reacting, Portable in a video posted on Instagram, questioned the NDLEA operatives for invading private residences in search of drugs.

He warned that anyone that tries it with him ‘will collect’

”Should we not smoke weed in our house again?

A man has started a debate after questioning the long-held belief that broke men do not get love from women.

Marcus Gram said on Twitter that even when he was broke, he was loved by women.

Nigeria has only witnessed one major fuel scarcity since the inception of the Muhammadu Buhari administration, says Mr Femi Adesina.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, stated this on Tuesday during an interview on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily .


“Each time this issue of the fuel scarcity come up, there is also a word that comes to my mind; that word is called SNAFU, and it’s an acronym for Situation Normal All Filed Ups.

“What happened is a SNAFU in the petrol supply chain in the country,” he said. “In the life of this administration which will be seven years in May, it is only one major fuel scarcity we have had.”

Not A Routine Lagos, Abuja, and major cities across the country were hit with fuel scarcity following the recent importation of adulterated Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly known as petrol.

Amid an outcry over the situation which left many car engines damaged, the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) said it has since withdrawn the adulterated petrol from the market.


It assured Nigerians that by the end of February, there would have been up to 2.1 billion litres of petrol in the country while millions of litres of the product were already in stock.

Despite the continued presence of long queues at filling stations, Adesina stressed that it should not be an opportunity for mischief makers to cause tension in the country.

“Now, there is a SNAFU, and some people are crying out as if heavens have fallen; no,” he said.

“We should always consider the past and the present in this country. More than any other administration, this one (Buhari’s) has restored normalcy in petroleum supply for years.

“It is regrettable that Nigerians have had to stay hours on end at petrol stations. My driver also goes to queue up for hours before he gets fuel. Some people have had their car engines damaged, very regrettable.

“But then, we should not forget that it is not a routine or regular occurrence in the country and if there was an oversight, there is already a structure that can deal with that and we have been told that it’s going to be looked at.”

Former Ekiti state Governor, Ayodele Fayose's
media aide Lere Olayinka has shared photo of one of the four police officers arrested alongside suspended head of the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Intelligence Response Team (IRT), DCP Abba Kyari for drug trafficking.

LIB reported earlier that the police officers were arrested after Kyari was declared wanted for allegedly taking out 15kg from 25kg of cocaine which him and his team intercepted after arresting some traffickers that came into the country from Ethiopia. He is also being accused of offering to give an NDLEA officer a cut from sale of the
cocaine.

Lere Olayinka who shared a photo of one of the arrested police officers, gave his name as ASP John Umoru and also revealed that he has a nickname of "TOO MUCH MONEY".

According to one Comr Lanre Sadiq, the boy is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

A fatal road accident has claimed the lives of a man and his wife. However, their son survived the accident.

It was gathered that the man identified as Mohammad Bagudu Abdulrahman Lapai and his pregnant wife, Khadijat died after their car ran under a petrol tanker along Suleja road.

It was gathered that the couple, from Lapai Local Government Area of Niger State, were killed in the accident which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, February 13, while their 3-year-old son survived.

According to one Comr Lanre Sadiq, the boy is currently receiving treatment at an undisclosed hospital.

Lanre Arogundade was arrested on arriving at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Thursday.

Mr Lanre Arogundade, the Executive Director of the International Press Institute based in Lagos and former President of the National Association of Nigerian Students, has been arrested by officials of the State Security Service.

Arogundade was arrested on arriving at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Thursday.

He had travelled to The Gambia to attend and conduct a training programme on Conflict Reporting for Journalists, organised by the UNESCO (Gambia) and International Press Institute.

No reason has been given for his arrest as of thebtime of filing this report.

His arrest was disclosed in a statement titled,b‘Demand For Unconditional Release Of Lanre Arogundade From Illegal Custody Of State SecuritybService,’ signed by human rights lawyer, FemibFalana.

“We have confirmed that his name is not on WatchbList. Hence, he was not prevented from travelling outbof Nigeria. We have equally confirmed that he did notncommit any offence in The Gambia to warrant his arrest and detention by security agencies in Nigeria,” Falana said in the statement.

“In fact, Mr Arogundade conducted himself as a law-abiding citizen of Nigeria throughout his stay in The Gambia. Even though the State Security Service said that Mr Arogundade has no right to enter Nigeria, he has not been sent back to the Gambia or any other country that might have been adopted for him. Since the harassment of Mr Arogundade cannot be justified, we are compelled to demand his immediate and unconditional release from the illegal custody of the State Security Service.”

policies and measures have led to a significant
improvement in diaspora inflow from an average of
US$6 million per week in December 2020 to an
average of over US$100 million per week by
January 2022.

The CBN, he said, would be reviewing these
intervention programmes going forward to ensure
that they continue to achieve the desired results.
