A man is trending on Facebook after he expressed his thoughts towards a 14-year-old neighbour. The user named Nsi Kak revealed that his neighbours are travelling and are trusting him with their 14-year-old daughter who can't travel with them because she has to go to school. He went on to sexualize the girl by describing what "she's carrying front and back". He added that he doesn't trust himself and prays that he will not "Oxlade" the girl while alone with her. By Oxlade, the Facebook user was making reference to the singer whose sex tape recently leaked. See his post below. "Funny how this our neighbor is trusting me with their 14 years old daughter. Pt Ma'am, with this thing she's carrying front and back? Hehehe, I don't trust myself. They're traveling to village for one of their relative traditional/white wedding, they prolly gonna come back on Sunday or Monday, they can't take her along because of school. And me? I'm staying home throughout this week because of some personal reasons. Is God not wonderful? She was just smiling upandown, I just pray I shouldn't Oxlade this girl shea." He Later Apologized Hey, I apologise. I'm wondering why this very post is getting all this reaction, it was JUST a post. Firstly, we don't have any 14 years old girl in our compound. Secondly, none of our neighbors is traveling anywhere. Thirdly, I'm not at home. I wasn't looking for any visibility or anything, I love my low key, that's the reason why I deleted the post, the fame and dragging was too much. But y'all have something in mind, 50% of you guys that said trash about me, I feel it hypocrite. Maybe it because I used 14 years old girl, I was just trying create something related to Oxlade recent trend. I had nothing bad in mind. I'm sorry guys, peace should reign. ❤️

Computer Studies and Physical and Health
Education are the latest subjects to be added to the
Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME)
by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board
(JAMB). The exam body's Director of Public Relations, Dr. Fabian Benjamin told newsmen that the candidates sitting for the UTME can now pick Computer Studies or Physical and Health Education as part of the four required UTME subjects, if they so desire or as dictated by their programme preferences. Addition of the two subjects to the existing 23 UTME subjects would be effective from the 2022 UTME exercise. https://guardian.ng/news/jamb-introduces-two-subjects-to-utme/ |

A socio-political activist, Reno Omokri has referred to the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress as another London patient. Omokri who stated this on Friday while reacting to a reported recuperation trip by Tinubu to London, United Kingdom, questioned while the 2023 presidential candidate could not rest in Nigeria. In a post on his Facebook page, Reno cautioned Nigerians against electing the likes of President Muhammadu Buhari who would abandon the health sector in Nigeria to get medical attention from London. He said, “Tinubu says he has jetted out to London to “rest”. Dear citizens of Nigeria, are you not tired of Buhari running to London to rest? “Now you want to elect Tinubu, another London patient? Tinubu just returned from London three months ago. Now, he is back there. Think! “So, there is no place to rest in Nigeria? Obudu Cattle Ranch, Yankari Games Reserve, Ikogosi WarmbSprings, Argungu Fishing Community, Olumo Rock, Gashska Gumption National Park, Mambilla Plateau, are all not good enough for Tinubu. It is only London he can rest? Haba! We were not born last night. “I did #HarassBuhariOutofLondon as my patriotic duty. It cost me money and time. Now, Tinubu has returned to London three months after he left. If you guys are foolish enough to elect another London patient in 2023, I will just enjoy myself and leave you all to your fate”! https://dailypost.ng/2022/01/28/another-london-patient-reno-omokri-reacts-to-tinubus-uk-trip/ |

Limited number of cadavers for study in most medical schools in the country has been identified as hobbling the study of anatomy and achievements of its attendant gains, says Prof Moyosore SalihunAjao, a professor of Anatomy at the University ofbIlorin. Moyosore made the observation while delivering the 214th Inaugural Lecture at the university, titled, ‘ThebBelly, the Brain and the Environmental Toxins: Balancing the Conflicts Between Necessity andCost’. Inaugural lectures happen once in the lifetime of most senior academics. Such occasions are meant to showcase the life work of such a lecturer. For Prof Ajao, a career in anatomy at the university has hovered around four main points which are Perceptions of students, teachers and populace about anatomy and the application of the subject tobday to day life; his contributions in the study ofbenvironmental toxins, the brain and; Comparative Neuroanatomical studies and its application to human existence and training and mentorship in the field of anatomy to upcoming and future generation of anatomists. The scholar observed that a unique thing about the study of Anatomy in most schools is the non-availability of “Raw materials” needed for its practical classes. “They are never sold in the market in any part of the world,” he said, referring to the availability of dead bodies for study. “Since human anatomy is the science that is concerned with the structures of the human body, these structures cannot be fully understood from written descriptions to dimensional pictures or plastic models. “The dissection of the human body (cadavers) is the basis for understanding the structure and functions of the human body for several centuries. “In other words, to fully understand the importance of cadavers to man is far and beyond what we should overlook. “The first major challenge I noticed on mybassumption of office as a young lecturer in the department of anatomy was the chronic shortages of cadavers in the department and after a quick check on other universities, I discovered that we are not alone in the struggle to get bodies fit enough for dissection,” he added. Citing one of his studies, Prof Ajao observed thatbthere are different causes of the lack in the Nigerian varsities which reflected a poor ratio of students to cadaver during study in medical schools in Nigeria. “This finding is consistent with the earlier report from China, where about 12 to 15 students used a body against International Standard that recommend maximum of six students to one body. “The National Universities Commission recommends an average of eight students per body in Nigeria. But Prof Ajao said that pressure to produce morendoctors in the country keeps mounting every year and so the students’ population continued to rise while provisions of facilities including cadavers supply are limited. https://independent.ng/shortage-of-dead-bodies-not-helping-anatomy-study-in-nigeria-prof-ajao/

Justice Peter Lifu made the order while delivering a ruling in a suit filed by a firm, Efoba Construction and Engineering Services Limited against the ICPC and a bank. The Independent Corrupt Practice Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has been barred from freezing accounts without a valid court order. A Federal High Court in Lagos has held that the abPost No Debit (PND) on a bank account without a valid court order is henceforth invalid. Justice Peter Lifu made the order while delivering a ruling in a suit filed by a firm, Efoba Constructionnand Engineering Services Limited against the ICPC and a bank. The judge upheld the arguments of the plaintiff’s counsel Victor Opara SAN that restricting the firm’s access to Account No: 1011301207 without a court order amounted to “a gross and brazen violation of the Applicant’s Fundamental Right to own, acquirenand possess property.* In the January 25 decision obtained by The Nation on Wednesday, the court also awarded a cost of N50, 000 against the ICPC and the bank. The plaintiff had, through Okpara, sued the defendants in a suit numbered FHC L/ CS/1796/2020, for placing a lien on its banknaccount without a valid court order. It prayed the court for several reliefs against the defendants, including:“a declaration that the compulsory taking possession of/forfeiture, acquisition of its right over or interest in monies vested in its bank account maintained with thebsecond respondent with Account No: 1011301207 including but not limited to placing restrictions on then Applicant’s Bank Account without any extant order of court violated its Fundamental Right. “An order setting aside the purported compulsory acquisition of monies vested in the Applicant and deposited with the 2nd Respondent. Both defendants in their counter-affidavits opposed the suit. The ICPC in its 21 paragraphs counter-affidavit deposed to by Douglas Oditan, prayed the court to dismiss the suit on the ground, among others, of want of jurisdiction. While the bank in its 18-paragraph counter-affidavit deposed to by Eyituoyo Prosper Mogbeyi, and filed and argued by its lawyer, Ademola Obayomi, informed the court that it only acted on ICPC’s directives. Justice Lifu held: “It is hereby declared that the Post No Debit restriction placed on the applicant’s Account No:1011301207 by the second respondentnon the instruction of the first Respondent without a valid court order from a court of competent jurisdiction duly sought and obtained, is a violation of the fundamental right of the Applicant guaranteed by Chapter IV of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) on the right to own and possess property. “The restriction placed on Account No: 1011301207 belonging to the Applicant by the second respondent sequel to the ‘orders’ of the 1st Respondent as contained in a letter dated 7th of October 2019 is hereby set aside forthwith. “The second respondent is hereby restrained from further placing any restrictions in whatever manner on the Applicant’s accounts domiciled with it except by the direct and express order of a court of competent jurisdiction specifically made for thatbpurpose. “Considering all the disappointments, denials of access to account and monies legitimately owned by the Applicant coupled with the psychological and physical trauma associated or occasioned by such brazen recklessness of the second respondent bank, a punitive damages of N5 million, is hereby awarded against the respondents severally and jointly but in favour of the applicant. “A cost of N50, 000 is hereby awarded as cost of this action against the Respondents”. https://thenationonlineng.net/court-bars-icpc-from-freezing-bank-account-without-valid-order/ |

Popular media personality, Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode better known as Do2tun has warned people to stop desiring to have everything they come across on social media. According to him, things are not always as theynseem online and people should pray for what they desire, not what someone else has. He stated that sometimes people wishing for things they see online are better off than the people they are admiring. He wrote, “Don’t pray to have everything you see on social media. Most times, what it seems like is not what it is in real life. Ask God for your desires not what he gave Mr or Mrs X. Choose your life and set goals 1st.. it might be better than the person you are looking up to.. toh! what do I know! https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/61effb42a64ce.jpg Nigerian businessman, Aliko Dangote has retained his rank as Africa's richest man as confirmed in the 2022 edition of the Forbes’ Top 10 Africa’s Billionaires List. Aliko Dangote who has been Africa's richest person for 11 years in a row, has an estimated networth of $13.9 billion, up from $12.1 billion in 2021. Forbes said this is as a result of 30 per centbincrease in the stock price of Dangote Cement, his most valuable asset. The Forbes report also revealed that Africa’s billionaires were richer than they had been in years, despite the global pandemic. As a group, the continent’s 18 billionaires were worth an estimated $84.9 billion, a 15 per cent increase from twelve months ago and the most since 2014, when a larger number of billionaires (28) were worth a combined $96.5 billion. On average, the continent’s billionaires were worth $ 4.7 billion now, worth $3.4 billion in 2014 with soaring stock prices from Nigeria to Zimbabwe lifted the fortunes of these tycoons, as demand for products from cement to luxury goods ticked up. Jumping into the number two from the list, spot–up from number four last year–was luxury goods magnate, Johann Rupert of South Africa. The 18 billionaires from Africa, who were not new to the ranks, also hailed from seven different countries, South Africa and Egypt each had five billionaires, followed by Nigeria with three and Morocco with two. All of the continent’s billionaires were men; the last woman to appear in the ranks, Isabel dos Santos of Angola, fell off the Forbes list in January 2021. Northern APC group asks Bola Tinubu to apologize over his 1997 comment ‘I don’t believe in One Nigeria' A group of All Progressive Congress (APC) party members in the North Central zone have asked Bola Tinubu, the APC national leader and presidential aspirant for the 2023 election to apologise to Nigerians over his comments in 1997 that he does not believe in one Nigeria. The group who formed a forum to pursue emergence of the President from North Central region said even though,Tinubu’s comment was decades ago it is now worth revisiting since he declared his intention to run for the President of the country come 2023. https://alexis.lindaikejisblog.com/photos/shares/61eee113c016a.jpeg Speaking on behalf of the Foum on Monday, January 24, in Jos, Plateau State capital, Saleh Mandung Zazzaga said; “In ThisDay publication of April 13th, 1997, Tinubu granted an interview in which he was quoted as saying, ‘I don’t believe in One Nigeria’ . And since that interview has resurfaced as a result of his presidential ambition declaration, people have began to raise eyebrow and asking damaging questions. “So many people have been calling and mocking us (the party), saying that if Tinubu does not believe in One Nigeria, how comes he has now believe in one Nigeria to the extend that he wants to contest for the Presidency of a Nation he did not believe in. “This has not only be agitating the people’s mind, but the members of the APC as well, and it is not good for the well being of the party as the Nation counts down to the 2023 general election. As a national leader of the party, he just have to speak to Nigerians on that issue, and that will make him a true nationalist and democrat. “The most honourable thing for Tinubu to do is come out and appologise to Nigerians on that remarks which he made before this democratic dispensation which began in 1999. And he should as well explain the rationale of the interview to Nigerians and point out if he was misquoted or not. Whatever his explanation would be, at least it will calm down people’s nerves and save the party from being projected in a bad light. “Such apology will not only project him as a true leader of the party or as presidential aspirant but it will prove that he his a man of honour and dignity and someone who will take responsibility for his words, deeds and actions,” he said. https://www.lindaikejisblog.com/2022/1/northern-apc-group-asks-bola-tinubu-to-apologize-over-his-1997-comment-i-dont-believe-in-one-nigeria.html |
