The six threaded and notorious kidnappers terrorizing Abuja-Kaduna Express Way and surrounding communities have been arrested by the Kaduna State internal security outfit, Operation Yaki.

The State Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s Spokesman, Samuel Aruwan, in a statement said the suspects were picked up last week Thursday and Friday by Operation Yaki Surveillance patrol teams in a joint operation with the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Teams (IRT) and with the support from the Technical Intelligence Unit (TIU).

The statement explained that,the arrest of the kidnappers is sequel to the massive deployment of more police assets and patrol vehicles in the area in the last one week:” These efforts led to the arrests of the suspects including the leader of the gang, Adamu Mamman, a 35-year old of Amana village in Igabi Local Government Area, Ali Rabo, also known as Blakky, of Liman Ibada village in Chikun Local Government Area and Awwalu Ahmad, aka Mota, of Rijana village in Kachia Local Government Area who is the main informant of this gang of kidnappers along the Abuja – Kaduna highway.”

“Others arrested are Shehu Idris Shagari, a 27-year old of Gadan Gayan village in IgabiLocal Government Area, and Umar Antijo, also a 27-year old, of Rijana village in Kachia Local Government Area. Also in the net is Babangida Abdullahi of Rijanavillage in Kachia Local Government Area who is the receiver of stolen cattle, phones and laptops.”

According to Leadership News, Announcing the arrests, Yakubu Yusuf, a retired colonel and Coordinator of Operation Yaki, said that the security operations against kidnapping are being funded by the Kaduna State Government.

Yusuf disclosed that, El-Rufai has been encouraging and supporting interagency cooperation in the fight against crime:”Governor El-Rufai has pressed for a sustained onslaught against kidnapping. The Kaduna State Government is assisting security agencies with operational funds to support these efforts. The governor commends the communities that have been contributing to the security effort reporting suspicious activities.”

“The suspects were arrested at various locations, including Maraban Jos, UngwanPama, Sabon Gayan and Rijana villages respectively, all in Kaduna State. All the suspects arrested confessed to several kidnappings of motorists along Kaduna – Abuja highway and further confessed that because of the massive deployment of security forces to their area of operations, most of their gang members have started relocating from Rijana village to their respective home towns.”

Meanwhile, the suspects and the items recovered from them have been handed over to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of the State Police Command for further investigation

According to report on Vanguard New this morning, Billionaire kidnapper's wife, Uchenna called their crime editor to plead with Nigerians. According to them:

The call was a surprise. And in the words of our Crime Editor, Emma Nnadozie “it was shocking but revealing and even pathetic.” The caller had said “hold on for Evans’ wife.” The female voice quickly pleaded to Mr. Nnadozie to call her back as she did not have enough credit. Nnadozie returned the call from Ghana and the caller told her story.

Excerpts from the call:

Evans wife, Uchenna

My name is Uchenna Precious Onwuamadike, the wife of the Chikwudubem Onwuamadike who you call Evans. I am 31 years old. I got married to Evans at the age of 17 at Oraifite, Anambra state in 2004.

He met me while I was coming back from lesson as a student of All Saints Secondary School, Oraifite and I was in class 6 going to take my West African Examination. After we met, I agreed to go with him because of my poor background.

He told me his father married three wives when he was 6 years old and threw his mother out of his house. He said that one of the wives influenced his father to drive them out of his house also and they were forced to stay with outsiders. Evans was taken to his grandmother who trained him. He told me his father accused the mother of being adulterous before driving her out of his house.

Our marriage is blessed with five children. Our first issue is 12 years plus and her name is Udochukwu. After we got married, he said I should stay with his mother in his village at Akanmiri, Umudim, Nnewi to teach me how to be a good housewife. I was there for three years before he took me to Lagos. We were living at Satellite town in 2006 and after one year, he relocated us back to the village because he could not pay house rent.

While in the village, he normally came to see us. We spent three years in the village and relocated to Ghana. On our way to Ghana, we passed through Lagos and stayed at Benny Hotels in Festac where we spent two days before travelling to Ghana.

He spent a month with us in Ghana before coming back to Lagos. I was pregnant with our fourth child in 2010 when he left for Nigeria to come back in two months time. After I gave birth, he came back four months later and was able to clear the accumulated bills we kept for him because I borrowed money from friends to clear hospital bill. When he came back, he complained bitterly that things were rough for him in Nigeria and that customs seized his goods.

I was not aware that he was into kidnapping and all the criminal acts he is being associated with now. All I know about his business is that he was into haulage, buying engine and spare parts for trucks and imports exhaust pipes. That was what he told me. The reason he kept me in Ghana was because he said our children should get quality education.

I have spent six years here and after I stopped hearing from him, I called and complained bitterly but he said I should stay for some time. I then called his friend, Okechukwu, who now lives in China. He told me that he has not been seeing him and that he spends most of his time with a girlfriend in Festac. When I called him to complain, he was angry with me and warned that I should stop listening to gossip. He said that If I should return, I should go to his younger brother’s house in Lagos until he is ready to get accommodation for us. The brother was formally living in Lagos but he is in Brazil now. So, when it was impossible to pay my children’s school fees, I packed my bags and baggage and came back to Lagos with our children.

We stayed at his brother’s house at Agric, close to Trade Fair until he took us to a house in Magodo where he claimed he owed rent pending the completion of his own house there. We have spent just one year in that house in Magodo. I have no idea of the type of business he was into but he told me that his friends overseas used to buy phones and jewelries for him.

While in Lagos, i was idle and I pressured him to find something for me to do and he promised to do that. Several times, I asked him to take me to his office but he said they move from place to place to offload goods in haulage business and share profits. I can’t remember having any visitor in our house. It is only the agent called Sunny that helped us to pack into our house that I know. At times, artisans come to do one repair or the other, that’s all.

I don’t know any of his friends and if we were invited to parties, he would not allow us to attend. He told me that he has no friends and that he hates associating with people. I was always indoors because he warned me to beware of Lagos women that they are wayward.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has obtained a court order to declare wanted Dr. Ngozi Olojeme, the Deputy Chairman, Finance Committee of the Goodluck Jonathan Presidential Campaign Organisation in 2015, Punch newspaper reports.

Olojeme, who served as the Chairman of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund from 2009 to 2015, was accused of diverting $48,485,127 from the NSITF. The NSITF is a social insurance scheme designed to provide compensation to employees who suffer from occupational accidents or diseases in the line of duty. The organisation is funded by deducting 1 per cent from all government and private sector employees enrolled in the scheme.

However, according to documents made available to The Punch, Olojeme and some directors in the company allegedly diverted billions of naira including funds meant for the payment of allowances of its staff as well as compensation to contributors.

Trouble started for Olojeme shortly after her removal by President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015. The EFCC subsequently received a petition alleging that over N50bn from the Employee Compensation Scheme fund, paid by Ministries, Departments and Agencies and private companies as well as another N18bn, being the contribution of the Federal Government as take-off grant to the NSITF, was mismanaged and diverted into the personal accounts of Olojeme and Umar Abubakar, a former Managing Director of the NSITF.

The EFCC immediately set up a team of detectives to look into the allegations. Operatives of the commission looked into the bank account of the NSITF and uncovered suspicious transactions and diversion of funds. Some funds were said to have been traced to the accounts of some consultants and contractors, who were believed to be fronts for Olojeme and other directors in the NSITF. It was learnt that several directors and contractors were invited to explain their own side of the story, many of whom have since returned funds to the EFCC.

An EFCC report, made available to our correspondent, read in part, “It was discovered that the NSITF accounts in First Bank of Nigeria and other banks have witnessed a total turnover of over N62,358,401,927 between 2012 and 2015 from the Employee Compensation Scheme contributions.

“That out of the N62bn, the Federal Government contributed N13,600,000,000 while the sum of N48,758,401,927.80 was contributed by the private sector. That there were several payments to individuals and companies from the NSITF bank accounts for purported contracts or consultancy services.

“That some individuals and companies that received these payments, in turn, transferred part of the monies directly to the NSITF officials while others transferred huge sums to bureau de change operators who changed them to dollars.” The report adds that Olojeme sent her account officer at FBN to collect $48m from some NSITF contractors through a BDC operator. It states,

“That through this process, Dr. Ngozi Olojeme, the then NSITF board chairman, has collected a total sum of $48,485,127 from Mr. Chuka Eze (her account officer at FBN), which cash he collected on her behalf being the dollar equivalent of monies paid to BDCs by NSITF contractors.

“That she has refused to honour invitation and all efforts to get her to come and tell her own side of the story have proved abortive hence her arrest warrant has been obtained from court. “We ask for the EFCC chairman’s approval to declare the suspect wanted.”

Unlike Olojeme, it was learnt that Abubakar had honoured the invitation of the commission. Olojeme, who was also the convener of the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme sub-committee on Public Works and Road Rehabilitation, could not be reached for comment as she has been out of the country for over a year.

The spokesman for the EFCC, Mr. Wilson Uwujaren, confirmed to our correspondent on the telephone that Olojeme had been declared wanted. He urged members of the public to offer information that could lead to her arrest. “Yes, she has been declared wanted. Members of the public are advised to give us information that would lead to her arrest,” he said.

A close aide to Olojeme, who spoke with our correspondent on condition of anonymity, confirmed that the suspect had remained incommunicado for several months. The aide said, “I don’t know her whereabouts. However, she’s aware of what is going on.”

Mother & Her Set Of Triplets Detained In Lagos Hospital For Being Unable To Pay N200k Bills

This story is so touchy and I believe in what benevolent Nigerians can do. 31 year old, Mrs Esther Jegede and her set of triplets pictured above are currently being held at the prenatal ward of Ayoradex Hospital, Mafoluku, Oshodi, Lagos State, for failing to offset their N200,000 medical bill.

It was gathered that Mrs Jegede gave birth to her set of triplets, two girls and a boy through Cesarean section on 6th of June 2017 and have been detained at the hospital over unpaid medical bills.

According to Guardian News, father of the triplets, Rasheed Jegede, is a low-range furniture maker that cannot afford to pay the bill. He said prior to the triplets, they already had three children they were catering for.

The nursing mother has appealed to Nigerians to come to her aid. She says she is getting weaker by the day due to hunger as she struggles to breastfeed the triplet whenever they cry for food.

In her words:

“My husband’s job does not provide enough food for the family. We are in dire need of financial assistance. This is why I am appealing to kindhearted Nigerians to come to our aid,” she said

He met his end today. A man who was suspected to be a hired assassin sent from Sapele in Delta state to kill a boutique owner in Jakande, Lagos Sate was caught, stripped, and beaten by residents. In fact, it was because of timely intervention of the Nigeria Police officer, the man was have been burnt alive by angry residents.

The attack on the alleged criminal was filmed and shared online. The victim of the assassination (woman) has been taken to the hospital to receive medical attention.

Following the protest that led to the death of two people in Kogi, Senator Dino Melaye representing Kogi West Senatorial District has called Governor Yahaya Bello a liar and a compound fool for saying one of the deceased is a student.

Recent development has emerged leading to further understanding of how the armed robbers who robbed and kill police officer attached to Zenith Bank in Imo State operates. It has been revealed that the dreaded and bold armed robbers who robbed a customers uses African juju called 'Odeshi' to ply their trade.

According to a lawyer, barrister Kissinger Ikeokwu, the daring armed robbers that attacked and snatched money from a customer at a Zenith Bank in Imo state used charms and African juju popularly called 'Odeshi' to rob their victim, hence they were very brave enough to operate in such a commando style.

Narrating why the gallant policeman, Sergeant Iboko ran out from where he took cover and suffered severe gunshot injuries and died, Ikeokwu revealed that Iboko was allegedly rejected at the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri.

According to what he shared on Facebook:

"Those who blame the officer for running out got it wrong. I got the true account from an anonymous witness and feel I should share it since he cannot by reason of his office.

When the robbers approached the Bank, three Policemen were in the small Security House. They displayed gallantry by shooting and blasting the car windows, but the robbers still emerged from the car unhurt in what many have described as “Odoeshi”. The robber in blue the officer shot dead moved tactically to the small window at the back side the Policeman ran towards. He sprayed them with bullets killing one instantly and severely injuring the officer who today lost his one eye. The gallant Iboko was the man the robbers bullet didn't touch and he took cover lying low and kept his calm.

Confident that he had finished the officers who took cover at the small security post, the robber on blue decided to enter and finish the last breath off all the officers. It was then that Iboko who had taken cover having seen his men in the pool of their blood decided to either act or die with them. Sensing the invisibility of the robbers, Iboko was reported to have dipped his gun nuzzle into the blood of his colleagues and that proved vital in neutralizing the supposed.

Immediately the robber on blue who had sprayed them with bullets from the back window approached the door, Iboko took him out. Having shot and proved he was alive, Iboko knew he must flee or wait for the robbers who didn't fear bullets now come for him. He made the deft move with just 20% chance of escaping. He ran towards the backside of the Bank building through the left flank, but he couldn't run too far as he fell to bullet wounds.

Upon his falling the other robber he had a face to face close range shootout with now came towards him and rained bullets on him, but Iboko’s four colleagues at the back gave him backup…… that backup was bullets from the far end of the backyard that made the killer of Iboko retreat and run to their car in a hurry.

Iboko died later of his wounds. 7 Policemen were on duty on that very day at the Bank Wetheral Branch. 3 lost their life including iboko. One survived with injuries. 3 escaped unhurt and told the story you read hereby.

The survivors were at the backyard and they reinforced Iboko giving him cover when he fell. Their bullets made the rubbers retreat in a hurry and not pick the guns of the slain officers. Their back reinforcement made the robbers abandon their colleague through whom Police got the clues that ultimately led to the arrest and waterloo of the robbers.

Iboko took cover lying low with a dead colleague and one whose eyes was shattered by the same man he killed. He killed same man when he came through the door but lost I trying to run after exposing his cover. Watch the video again. Spot the robber on blue go behind which the CCTV camera didn’t cover. He shot the 3 officers from the back window on close range target. Iboko was lucky not to be hit and took effective cover lying low. He moved when he had to move when the man now came through the door to finish the job and Iboko took him out.

Such Gallantry. RIP to the fallen…….. My condolences to the families.

According to a report published by Sahara Reporters, the president of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari is incommunicado. The story further claims that he can only be reached by two aides, Tunde Saburi and Sarki Abba and that Aisha Buhari Did Not See The President During Her London Visit.

The President’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari who also frequents London to take care of himself, is still the manipulator-in-chief, according to the sources. Our sources confirmed that Buhari is incommunicado, and is only reached by two aides, Tunde Saburi and Sarki Abba, who have maintained stoic silence about his condition, they added.
