We don't need a foreign coach.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Drogba: I'm Better Than Thiery Henry by exu(m): 12:59pm On Nov 27, 2006
Dearest Kitaun,

I've followed both Henry and Drogba's careers since their days in France.

You've dismissed what I said without actually saying why.

The sign of an educated man? I think not.

Please try again.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Drogba: I'm Better Than Thiery Henry by exu(m): 4:37pm On Nov 26, 2006
He is better than Henry.

Drogba is a much more versatile player than Henry will ever be.

Those who were fortunate enough to watch him when he was at Marseille will know that he was the talisman in, ironically, a Thierry Henry vein.

Now he plays as a target man, the focus of his team's offensive play, fending off defenders, winning headers and scoring goals.

My question is: we've seen Drogba play the Henry role but could Henry do what Drogba now does for Chelsea and Cote d'Ivoire?

p.s.
There's also the question Henry's temparement.  A problem Drogba doesn't seem to have.
Religion / Re: A Religious Man Is Not A Free Man by exu(m): 7:53pm On Nov 25, 2006
Pascal was religious yet wasn't intellectually lazy, Faraday was religious yet wasn't intellectually lazy, Gregor Mendel was religious yet wasn't intellectually lazy!

You speak of such people as if they were the manifestation of perfection.

Like you and I these people were human.

Also, like you and I they made errors of judgement- their faith may (or may not) have been one such example.
Religion / Re: If I Were The Devil by exu(m): 10:41pm On Nov 24, 2006
I am the devil incarnate.

Right now I am eating.

Later, I will kill you all.

Have a nice day.

The Christian and the Muslim going at it.

This is fun.
Religion / Re: How Can God Allow Such? by exu(m): 1:54pm On Nov 24, 2006
Ok.

What did I say to offend you so much as to make a comment like that?

Also, why not deal with the issue I brought up?
Religion / Re: If I Were The Devil by exu(m): 1:49pm On Nov 24, 2006
I don't remember who or when it was posted but I've definitely read it before.

What measures would you put in place for those who feel the need to hero-worship?

Thou shalt not look under another persons skirt

What kind of Nigerian man wears a 'skirt.
Religion / Re: How Can God Allow Such? by exu(m): 2:46pm On Nov 23, 2006
dude, o da bin pe o ti mu sepe yo abi?

I've never lived in Nigeria, and don't speak any Nigerian languages so you're going to have to tell me in English what that means.

Apologies.

This has been posted before.
Religion / Re: A Religious Man Is Not A Free Man by exu(m): 12:52am On Nov 23, 2006
Is it freedom to do as you please or whatever you want?

Actually. Yes.

Within reason.

We have laws to punish those who exercise their freedom in such a way as to harm someone else.

Aren't you religious types always banging on about 'free-will'?
Religion / Re: A Religious Man Is Not A Free Man by exu(m): 9:03pm On Nov 22, 2006
I think most religious people realise this.

Islam means 'submission to the will of god'.

Christians always say that they have 'given their life to christ'.

I imagine that most other religions are pretty much the same in that those who proscribe to said religion dedicate themselves to whatever their leaders tell them they should.

Fact is there are a lot of people who would argue that religion is a useful tool to maintain order in society.

Once upon a time people would also have argued that religion 'doesn't do anybody any harm'- those who didn't realise how much of a myth this was before are sure to know now.

All in all religion is bullshit.
Religion / Re: How Can God Allow Such? by exu(m): 5:58pm On Nov 22, 2006
Maybe there is no 'god'.
Religion / Re: 101 Clear Contradictions In The Bible by exu(m): 8:24pm On Nov 21, 2006
As far as I'm concerned the Bible is mainly poorly translated doctrinal fiction with a whole host of contradictions.

However a lot of the said contradictions in the above list are trivial, at best.

You don't need to waste your time trying to discredit so called 'holy books'- religious people do it for us.

Unwittingly I might add, but discredit them they do.
Religion / Re: The Next Pope Is Gonna Be Da Antichrist by exu(m): 3:34pm On Nov 21, 2006
Seriously though guys, what is the 'Anti-Christ'?

Secondly isn't the Pope chosen by 'God'?

Why does it matter if the next Pope is the 'Anti-Christ', I thought your 'God' was all powerful?

I wish some people on here would learn to summarise.

I also would like to see certain people back up some of their claims. Not just make a statement.

Religion / Re: The Ted Haggard Scandal by exu(m): 8:41pm On Nov 10, 2006
I'm currently laughing at all the sheep stupid enough to listen to dearest Ted. Especially those who are now angered and offended by his homosexuality.

But what really and truely makes me chuckle is the inner turmoil he must be going through.

For a man such as dearest Ted, taught to hate those like himself, this must be agony.

Unless, of course, he's a really adept liar. Being a 'preacher' he probably is.

It's like the Catholic Church (a.k.a. NAMBLA) scandals all over again.

Good times.

Religion / Re: Do White People Take Christianity As Seriously As We Do? by exu(m): 2:26pm On Nov 03, 2006
1.Are these not supposed to be the people who brought the religion to us?

The Europeans who initially spread Christianity to Africa are now dead. So no, those aren't the same 'white people' who brought religion to 'us'.

2. Most of the modern day white folks have already realised that christianity was based entirely on fiction fantasy.

No. In the U.K, unlike Nigeria and America, Christianity is no longer fashionable- it's not necessarily a case of individuals realising that Christianity is fiction. You'll probably find (if you talk to people) that a lot of people haven't really taken the time out to consider what they do or do not believe.

Christianity is still deemed a necessity within American society, with regular church attendance not uncommon. Around about 70% the American population would be classed as 'white'.

p.s.
This thread is dumb.
