Religion / Re: Does Satan Really Eat With His Left Hand? And Other Quranic Discrepancies! by exu(m): 9:40pm On Jun 21, 2006
My younger brother is left handed. He once tried to strangle me when we were young.

I'm convinced that my cat is also left handed- she has killed on many an occasion.

No doubt both are evil by nature.

Just as God intended.
TV/Movies / Re: Is Nollywood Controlled By Igbos? (Tribalised?) by exu(m): 4:06pm On Jun 20, 2006
No- that is nonsense.

The people on my mother's side of the family are light skinned and they aren't Igbo.

The people on my father's side are Igbo and they aren't light-skinned.

In fact none of the (few, granted) Igbos that I know could be described as light skinned.
TV/Movies / Re: Is Nollywood Controlled By Igbos? (Tribalised?) by exu(m): 3:54pm On Jun 20, 2006
Where is this nonsense that only Igbos are light-skinned coming from?

According to the FIFA rankings Czech Rep. are the second best team in the world.

Of course we all know how little FIFA actually know about football.
Business / Re: Starting Mcdonalds In Nigeria by exu(m): 9:01am On Jun 18, 2006
We don't need Mcdonald's in Nigeria.

If you're really interested in business look into something that will actually benefit Nigerian society, like medical supplies.

Anything but Mcdonald's, please.

Great result guys.

Against one of the better teams too. << he means Czech Republic >>

Africa salutes you.

Family / Re: Would You Pay Your Children For Chores They Do? by exu(m): 9:54am On Jun 14, 2006
Hot angel's been talking a lot of sense in this thread- unfortunately it appears that a lot of people have failed to register what she is saying.

paying your kids to tidy their room gives them sharp business mind indeed! funny how u don't encourage humanity n charity work but supports gettin rich by any means neccessary.

No one's saying 'pay your kid's to tidy their own room'; what we are saying is teach your children to be self-sufficient. That means looking after yourself, taking pride in yourself- taking care of your appearance and your own surroundings would be part of this.

It's just another (probably more efficient) way of teaching responsibility to your children.
Family / Re: Would You Pay Your Children For Chores They Do? by exu(m): 6:55pm On Jun 13, 2006
I have to say that I like Seun's way of thinking (with regards child-rearing).

Not that I would ever have any myself.

As for this:

Mr. Dad: Chores or Whip?
Kiddo: Chores.
Mr. Dad: Good enough

You may joke about it but no doubt it happens. Either way it's abuse.

If you don't know how to reason with people then you should probably consider having a vasectomy.
Romance / Re: White Girls Dating Nigerian Men by exu(m): 6:42pm On Jun 13, 2006
Nothing against people with different skin colours dating; that's their business.

But this thread does smack of someone looking for acceptance.

As for the people down talking Nigeria: it's true that there a lot of people who are suffering financially but if you have money it's a place that you can thoroughly enjoy.

Nice warning.
Religion / Re: Funny How We Treat God's Word by exu(m): 6:03pm On Jun 13, 2006
Funny how we believe what the newspapers say, but question what the Bible says.

Most sane/rational people question the way that the media depicts the news as well.

Funny how you can send a thousand 'jokes' through e-mail and they spread like wildfire, but when you start
sending messages regarding the Lord,  people think twice about sharing.

Yep. That's called embarrassment religion should be a personal thing. If you want to throw your religion around expect to get ridiculed.

Funny how you can be more worried about what other people think of you than what God thinks of you.

No. What's really, really funny is how some people can spend so much time worrying about the well-being/happiness of a creature they cannot see yet turn a blind eye to the suffering going on in front of them.

That, my friend, is hilarious.

In a beautiful, Satanesque (pbuh) kind of way.

p.s.
In case you were wondering the rest of your post was annoyingly crass as well. I just choose to ignore it.

Nothing like a straight talking Xtian to make me want to 'renounce' my scepticism.
Celebrities / Re: Halle Berry Gets Too Much Props! by exu(m): 1:21pm On Jun 12, 2006
I've never understood the obsession with Halle Berry either.

Having said that she does look good when her hair is long.

Gabrielle Union on the other hand is amazing whichever way you look at her.
Religion / Re: Do Miracles Still Exist? by exu(m): 11:23am On Jun 12, 2006
*ahem*

Do miracles still exist?

A miracle is:
"An event that appears inexplicable by the laws of nature."

Something which man cannot explain.

A miracle is not a pastor taking advantage of a peoples' trust.
Religion / Re: Which World Cup Team Does God Support? by exu(m): 1:42pm On Jun 11, 2006
My answer would be Iran.

God evidently hates the Jews and so does Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Clearly they are one and the same.

God is an Iranian.

Religion / Re: Is Satan Really Such A Bad Person? by exu(m): 12:38pm On Jun 09, 2006
Whilst holidaying in the States an old man once told me: "The white man is the devil".

As a satanic being myself I do believe it necessary to promote oyinbo language (good English).

As a result I will take the time out to correct your needless errors.
So:
THIS IS RAPTURE- & THIS ARE THE DECENDANTS OF SATAN!

The above should read:

This is the rapture. These are the descendants of Satan!

See how much better that is?

Have a nice day.

Satan be with you.
Religion / Re: Is Satan Really Such A Bad Person? by exu(m): 7:18pm On Jun 07, 2006
I love Satan.

He used to make me pancakes as a child.
Religion / Re: Guys, Learn From God: The Ultimate Gentleman! by exu(m): 11:17pm On Jun 06, 2006
He is a gentleman .He is confident .He is a provider and protector .He is rich and powerful. He owns everything, there is nothing He wouldn't do for her .He perfects all things concerning her .He anticipates her wants and needs Every day. He tells her and shows her how much He loves her .She doesn't have to perform in order to earn His love .He keeps all of his promises .No one can influence His opinion of her .He is the ultimate intimate partner. He can't "disown" her because she is a part of Him .He prepares a table before her (Selah).

Sounds awfully like a father-daughter incestuous relationship.

Glad I'm not 'Him'.
Politics / Re: Where Should Nigeria's Next President Come From? by exu(m): 11:13pm On Jun 06, 2006
In fact, facts (sorry about that) show that we are all Ibibio.  It's politics that has resulted in the various dialects claiming to be actual languages/tribes. But I digress

However, when it comes to the national interest, I am willing to set aside tribalism.  The world is moving at rates faster than the speed of light courtesy of globalization.  The sooner we drop all these internal squabbles, the sooner we hop on the train to wealth.

In particular, I like what is being done with the Central Bank and with our national debt.  It truly shows that regardless of where we are from, if we can just band together, we can go places.

True but whenever you read about Nigeria I guarantee that it will say something similar to :

"progress is being made but the Northern part of the country" etc. etc.

I, and many others would just like to see a nation united by common values and goals.

Akwa Ibom?

I believe they're a slight majority.

It's no real suprise that the most prosperous country in Africa is Botswana- a nation with sensible borders based on a clear majority ethnic group.
