moderatorr1:You are right. At first his audience was shocked because they are not use to hearing anything but Jonathan is God's annoited. And hearing resenting voice from this source was a shocking initially but as the talk further, they maybe start to think properly for the time in a long while and many started to cheer. This is a video of Buhari with a spear encouraging his followers to kill people during election. After he lost that election, youth corpers where mobbed. Then he stayed for 2 days before coming to bbc under pressure to ask his people to stop the violence.Really? That's spear throwing for you and not fist punching? Have you ever watch football all your life? If you haven't, try it today, it seems many players and manager are also encouraging violence. How does some of sleep with this sort of screwed mindset? He said people should vote Buhari because Jonathan could not stop 'simple insurgency'. In reality, insurgency is not simple, no country has been able to stop insurgency once it has started. Kenya, Libya, Israel, Pakistan, Afghanistan, USA (with all their technology and sophistication), Nigeria.Wrong again, not the same video I watched. He mentioned many times that he wasn't asking them to vote for anyone or campaign for anyone but he prefers a stranger to rule him with security than his brother and father in insecurity. Non of this countries you mentioned above had any part of their territory controlled freely by insurgent group. Even in Afghanistan where the Taliban was once in government are not flying flags but stronghold. He said people should vote Buhari because we have not seen more bloodshed in the history of the nation since Boko Haram started. Statistically, boko haram has killed about 10,000 people, Biafran war was started due to a reverse on the aburi accord, it killed 2 million people, mostly civilians.I repeat again, he never ask them to vote for any person by name. The only time he mentioned Buhari by name was on the issue of Jonathan government will be made ungovernable. He clarified that Buhari never said such a thing and if assuming he said so, he asked why can't they arrest him and charged him? You are even lying on a video everyone can see. It stupid to compare Boko Haram with Biafra. It was a war between two countries. Biafra has troops, barracks, command centre, professional military structure with weapons. Nigeria is not fighting another country and not even a civil war to warrant the rate of daily lost of life and the level of insecurity. Boko Haram are bunch of Islamic criminals hiding from the bush with occasional attacks. But was emboldened to come without fear because of the government lack of will and incompetence of leadership, plus their original reasoning that it's just northerners killing each other. He said Boko Haram started due to unemployment caused by Goodluck's administration. Well, Boko haram started in 2009 and Goodluck started ruling in 2009 as acting. So when did the unemployment start?True, it's stupid to blame unemployment totally for Boko Haram. But there is no doubt that it is the engine of their recruitment drive. Again Boko Haram started well before Jonathan. And where does your claim of 2009 marries with the usual claims by Jonathan and his supporters was as a result of his victory in 2011? That's the effects of manipulating facts, because you will soon shoot yourself on the foot. He said Buhari built the enugu-onitsha express way. Heheheheee! Lies!Again he did not say such a thing. He said that it was built by past military governments long time ago but was amazed that in six years, Jonathan cannot even carry a successful repair or widened the ready existing road. He said there is no light in Enugu, actually, its the opposite, there is almost 24 hours power supply. You must be living in another Nigeria. In my own town 120 miles from Enugu, had not had light for two weeks. Even Aso Rocks don't have 24 hours of power supply. Am sure Mbaka , as he spoke was using generator to power his event. You cannot know more than him. He said Buhari didn't encourage violence, lies, see the video above.Asking voter to guard the vote and never to leave or allow anyone to snatch ballot boxes is encouraging violence? At the same time. there was a similar campaign of snatch and burn in the West, Imo people also were encouraged by APGA to lynch any attempt to snatch ballot in 2011 gubernatorial election and no one of them had been accused of encouraging violence. Then He said Buhari didn't say he will make the country ungovernable, he pointed that ciroma was the one who said it. cool .. but Buhari actually said "if i don't win in 2015, the dogs and the baboons will soak in blood"He was right, Buhari never did. It was a member of PDP Lawal Keita that said it. In fact the presidency has to intervene for Abati when Buhari sued him for making this claim. Abati and Guardian newspaper grovel with an apology. This is a fact, not fictional. Fr. Mbaka said Buhari said he will islamise nigeria but didnt mean it since he didnt do it the first time he ruled. What video did you watch for crying out loud? He was asking how a single person will Islamic the whole country in a circular state and blame those he called hungry pastors surrounding Jonathan for such ignorant claims and use of fear. In 2001, Buhari said in a meeting "God willingly we will continue to push for total implementation of sharia in the country. Those who are not part of us should learn about it" .The jury is still out on this quote as no one has ever produced a transcript or video of it. But then an intelligent person like Okadigbo became his VP candidate in 2003. The people surrounding Jonathan today like Muazu, Sheriff and Shekarau who were the architect of Sharia, conveniently ignored them. And...Fr. Mbaka said the holy spirit told him so.Mbaka and his likes are the creation of Nigeria madness with religion. If he had said the opposite, you would have been the first saying hallelujah. Few weeks ago when Mrs Jonathan was hobbling with him, he was the agent of the true God and Satan to those hailing him today. The losers being the uninformed ordinary people they manipulate along with the politicians. |
Collynzo9:I thought being of military background is a sacrilege and doesn't understand democracy? |
Incorruptible:The army or a newspaper's anonymous and unidentified source within the army? Sorry reburst your bubble but the last time army even spoke officially about anything, they were supposed to have signed some ceasefire with Boko Haram. |
AlfaSeltzer:Don't some people likewise in America also wanted to see Obama birth certificate? Some even claimed that he is a secret moslem (whatever that means). In general, what are the motivational factors behind it? Hate, air of superiority, racial and ethnic bigotry |
joeyfire:We are really in the season of madness. Every inconsequential person now wanted to be somebody. What next? I have issues with the choice your toilet tissue. Osibanjo. |
ARKdiscloser7:Do you remember when some crazy racist and bigoted republicans kept requesting to see Obama's birthday certificate? Even when he cowardly bowed to their ridiculous demand, in the hope it will shut them up. Were they satisfied or sorry? No was the answer. They rather said now that it's a fake certificate instead. They demanded to see the midwife that delivered him at birth ![]() In life, the energy you spent, trying to satisfy the desire of the person that hate you to love you is equivalent to trying hard to make an elephant fly. |
Firefire:Refer us to the genuine Barewa website please. |
fitzmayowa:Some of you are supposed to be the so called educated, right? Where have you seen a person qualifications published in public, just to satisfy your dismerited quest? Why don't you start by at least using your real name for this forum. |
Am sure they may return but not if their candidate win. |
mrrock:I was around in the 50s till now. No one made such statements. Because you read a joke in the media made up by pompous southerners based on baseless stereotype against the north on education doesn't mean it is the truth. Tell me the journalist and media that ask such questions or conducted such an interview which year was it and the date and under what forum? Many Nigerians wickedly stereotyped Igbos as lovers of money, while they hated it but the evidence does not support such stereotype. That's the same with northerners when uninformed southerners, mindlessly believed that northerners are unintelligent or uneducated. |
CHM11:I don't like to repeat my self. Refer me to any official statement that tell you the manner by which he submitted his papers and the content of the papers, either by INEC or anybody. You do know what official mean? |
CHM11:May be I am not and you are. That is why I asked again about any official statement that support this subject in question. Not chit chat irrespective of whether it is on tv, radio or internet. Over to you. |
mrrock:What era is that? And name that northerners or was it just stereotype. |
tonychristopher:Who told you he has not presented his certificate? Did INEC, APC, Buhari or even PDP officially told you that? Or was it something we talk about on the internet? Tell me please. |
mrrock:It's unfortunate that this misguided stereotype that northerners are all illiterate still persist. Yes they don't have many illiterate graduates like us but those of them of the elite are very well taught and speaks better and cohorent than many of us. They do not shout as loud as us. |
gurunlocker:As an intelligent person, please ask yourself this question. Has anyone seen this affidavits? Did INEC ever made any statement that they are having issue with any candidate certificate? When this story started circulating, what was INEC's official response? |
Collynzo9:If that is the case that means that he has been consistent about voicing out against bad rulers looking back now at the sort of leader Nnamani became. Whether people like you paid any heed to prevent such rulers is not his fault or can be called a failure on his part but yours. Why he drastically changed his tone on Jonathan will soon manifest. |
Collynzo9:The question of being taken seriously should have been for you. Because it seemed that you loved his first sermon when he sing praise of Jonathan but hated it when he sang a different tune against him. |
vanunu:When you should be holding your government accountable, you are busy asking for an irrelevant exam results. It is irrelevant because the so called certification issue has had INEC distance themselves from it. That is to me some one who got nothing to talk about. His certificate did not worry you in 2003, 2007, 2011 but worries you now. It shows you got nothing negative in the locker any longer but desperatly scratching the bottom of the barrel. Even the worst enemy of Buhari who happens to have an atom of sense knew that this PDP propaganda about certificate is the most childish and moronic they can come up with. The fact that people like you chased up that bone thrown to you to distract is the most disappointing to say the least. |
Oh dear! Tori Don wowo. The accused don become the complainant. Trouble in paradise. |
@op, when I was in school, let alone Buhari, there is nothing called WAEC in the educational system. |
DesChyko:What are the implications if it happened to be true? Am sure Nairaland owners has a disclaimer page. |
bushdoc9919:Anyone attracted by such childish display of violence for a public office campaign strategy does not need attracting in the first place. They are already a supporter. |
exxell:If the first two paragraphs are rubbish and bereft of anything worth reading, why bother to the last two paragraphs? |
D9ty7:Do you expect him to draft it by himself? How many world leaders even write their own dinner speech, let alone a party political agenda. If you want to see how he will implement it wait for the presidential debate, town hall meetings, campaign ad and campaign trail. |
thekingsmen:Who told you that it's the same manifesto? What chapter of the manifesto have you read, how does it look like? |
delishpot:Do you think they will throw the yams into the ocean? The so called yam was a campaign gift from farmers, not like the bought it. It's still going to be eaten somehow. Since when do care about the masses anyway? |
delishpot:Have you heard about raffle or bazaar sales in churches or communities to raise money for community development? An orange fruit can sell for $10k to raise funds. Not that an orange worth that much, but just the symbolism. A supporter of Buhari may decide to buy 20 rubbers for a million dollar. Thanks how it works. Every Igbos person should be familiar with it as its quite a common process of raising funds in Igboland by communities and churches. In the developed world a charity auction can see a child drawing sold for thousands of pounds or dollars. You can pay hundreds thousands of dollars for the privilege to dine with a celebrity as a way of raising funds for a campaign. |
venomous:Ladies first. You made it sound like they were visiting some unisex toilet in a night club. |
Finally they gave him a temp job!!! |
Aren't Chelsea supposed to win the league by November and end the season, invisible? |
Societyreporter:I can just imagine if he wasn't invited at all what you will be reporting. These politicians are friends, stop killing yourselves in their behalf. Sambo, Rufai and Yero are probably now drinking coffee together and you are on the internet making them enemies they are not. |
