MojAyo: okay,tanx for d advice,pls is it hot water u use to mix ur baby food or just warm,and re they bottle water,u knw why I'm asking,I boiled tap water inside d flask to mix my baby food dis morning,I put d hot water to mix with d cereal,there were still some big particles there,it wasn't smooth,which I tried to make it smooth,bt its nt,then when I give my baby,he was crying,after some time he vomited it,yesterday when I want to prepare his cereal,I use warm bottle water which does nt make him to vomit,I'm thinking something is nt right the way I make his food dis morning,pls help me out

Since the warm water dint make him vomit why not keep using it. It's all trial and error and no two babies are the same. Do whatever works for your child.

I don't know if mine is the right way but what I do is I put cerelac in baby's feeder then pour little cold(ordinary) water then I add hot water from the flask which when mixed with the cold water(already in the feeder) makes it warm water. Hope you understand what am trying to explain?

Then I shake and keep shaking till it is without seed

I sometimes make mistake and the seed clog the feeder tip but in all practice make perfect


Sometimes I find out that I poured too much water(I add more cerelac) while sometimes I find out that the food is too thick(I add more water)sometimes I get it just right

Who said its easy been a mom

It's not advisable to feed cerelac or any type of cereal through the bottle / feeder because of choking

bentenny: telenovelas are one season movies..it doesnt go beyond that...the likes of LOST and FRIENDS contain more than one season and these seasons always have a change of storyline especially if a particular character has a special connection with the fans or there about...but that is totally different 4rm telenovelas that are time based and with limited funds...

i do agree that some telenovelas go tru story changes but its few and far between...what wud u say about forbidden passion that didnt end well 4 almost every1 esp me...will that mean a change in the storyline 2 appease fans? ...no way..

my dear dont be deceived by the 'confession of stars' stuff...you can change an actor(or actress) or plot or name but not a STORYLINE....i know there were telenovelas like elena's ghost that went tru sum minor name changes but not all of dem were changed...lets not go off track here...and lets face it,changing a storyline after one has already been written is absolutely expensive and time wasting...infact saying this makes the writer of such movie OR telenovela look incompetent and out of touch..

Generally they change story halfway. Dint say that's what happened in cruel love but it happens a lot. Not just in telenovelas even in English series!

It's not acted down, they act is as it airs and writers stalk fansites to get a sense of what the fans want and incorporate it in. Writing is work in progress, it doesn't mean the writers are incompetent.

Il give you a good example in friends. Rachel was supposed to end up with Joey not Ross but their romance was not well received by fans so they changed it.

In lost Michelle Rodriguez character wasn't liked by fans so they killed it off prematurely.

Protagonist can change to antagonist and vice versa

But it's the writers that decided to turn rocky into an idi.ot so that Sophia and anthonio will get back together. Rocky was a decent fellow in the beginning. Not unknown or cynical as you stated. They were friends and loved in the same neighborhood.

He even refused the contract to go solo and insisted his friends Benny and the other chick be included in the contract. He wrote a song Sophia with Sophia not revenge as inspiration. He was always there for Sophia. Infact if not that Nairaland lost some data, IDv quoted some old post that people were abusing Sophia for ignoring rocky who truly loved her and following anthonio a playboy.

I remember answering one of such post that that the heart wants what the heart wants.

In reality a Sophia would have found love with rocky or someone else because to recover from what she went through in the hands of Camilla/ anthonio would've been almost impossible.

It was just sad to see people berating her, forgetting what she went through and forgetting everyone has a breaking point. After the hurt she simply tried to find love elsewhere which is normal.

Which brings me to my conclusion that this thread mirrors an average naija's woman dilemma. You are damned if you stay in a bad situation and damned if you don't. That's why it's best to always look inwards and do whatever makes you happy. Everyone will always have an opinion anyways.

Congrats oritse. Their digestive system is not fully developed. As you know in the womb it was the placenta that did all the work! All babies have gas, some just react to it more than others.

Make sure you burp very well before putting the baby down. You can burp midway. Lay the baby on his tummy (whenever you can supervise because of choking) and wait it out, it gets better at 2 months / 3 months. My dd now farts and burps for fun and with pleasure!

You can however try gripe water and all those other solutions but I was told by the pediatrician that those things are not good for the baby, they contain sleeping drugs that makes the baby drowsy which is a temporary fix, but I was desperate at some point and still used gripe water. It dint work and my dd reacted severely to it. But some people say it worked for them, so make your own decision.

It's the only alternative actually at 3 months because The earliest any pediatrician will allow you introduce solid is 4 months. Many will advice moms to even wait till 6 months. Because at 4 months there are only few foods that may be tolerated by an infants immature digestive system

Hmm. Don't know how well Guinea corn is tolerated at 4 months.

Start with rice cereal. At any supermarket you can look out for the cereals that have. 4 months written on them

There are also few fruits and vegetables that are not too allergic and easy to digest that May be suitable for 4 months such as apples and sweet potato. So google 'infant purée 4 months' to get the recipe and you can make them at home.

They abandoned that part of the story. If you check the history of the telenovela they changed the name three times from Elena's revenge to something then to Elena's ghost. So they kept changing the direction of the plot as well throughout that's probably why it's kinda disjointed

I took a 16 hour flight at 34 weeks and I had a healthy baby 6 weeks later.

If you have complications though maybe it's not advised. Why not ask your dr since it's the nurse that gave you her opinion

It's either de quervian's syndrome or carpal tunnel. Google both and read up. It goes away after birth or after b.feeding.

I'm three months post birth and mine has eased a little but it's still there. Fingers crossed that it will stop when I stop nursing

Eat small quantities at once. Some food cause more indigestion than others so try and isolate your food to know the one your tummy tolerates better. For me pregnacare and those iron vitamins was the chief cause of my indigestion so I eliminated it after first trimester.

It's nothing strange! Exclusively b. fed babies most times don't accept the bottle easily even if it's the breast milk that's in it.


Try other bottles especially tomee tippee if you haven't tried it yet, most babies that reject other bottles accept it. You just need to be patient with your child. But it's nothing unusual. I know tons of people that their babies never accepted any bottle and they had to use spoon and a bowl or even a syringe dropper to feed milk when they went back to work

P.s you are almost at 4 months when you can introduce solids so just hang in there

@kemmy...a lot of people have responded but lemme join my voice. It is perfectly normal. My pediatrician said for the first 6 weeks u should have nothing less than 10 diaper change cuz the baby should poop after every meal. Infact you should be worried if the reverse is the case cuz it means the baby isn't eating enough.

Who asked you to administer Ors was it a pls don't be self medicating o! baby is very delicate
