Secondly, if you find a creche near your office that you can afford will they let you take your baby on the staff bus? If you leave home at 4:30 what time do you now wake up, isnt that too early for the baby? You can consider bathing him at night though, so you can just change him in the morning and be on your way

Thirdly, your accomodation situation with a room and palor is already sorta cramped for you and your husband and a baby so getting a live in maid may not be too easy!

Can your work hours be flexible (resume later) for the main time, till you get this sorted? Be bold enough to ask your bosses, you never can tell, they might just be sympathetic

Try and explore all options of creche around you, i know lekki isnt cheap but leave all the popular ones and check for the coded ones, you can ask your coworkers for tips , also try the elegushi one someone suggested

What of your mum's sisters or your MIL sisters, ask around for relatives who may be in the villa, some waiting for admission, waiting idly to marry, wanting to learn work, etc. Again you never can tell

If all options has been exhausted without success you may need to quit your job and face a business or find something closer to the house.

So i'l say do whatever is convenient for you, just make sure you are on top of the hygeine situation for the bottles if that is your choice

do yourself a favor and stop torturing yourself with those stories, when the time comes you will get the strength to overcome like everyother person before you . you can however begin to confess supernatural birth prayer points, fast labor, low pain, etc.

you can also make arrangement for an epidural or a pain management injection like the type udoka mentioned.

nothing wrong in CS but the recovery time is longer and you may find it hard to do a VBAC afterwards, also its not exactly pain free from what i hear, have you had an operation before? the pain comes afterwards...so just pray for the will of God to be done

Dint they ask you all these questions when you were going to renew your visa? I will say dont sweat it...just make sure you hold your complete reciept from your last birth. I think they will be more concerned about if you paid your complete bill the last time and your purpose this time.

So you may want to get correspondence from a dr and hold enough cash and get your story ready

I was planning to use El-paso but I am beginning to change my mind. I have a place to stay in Houston with a friend but I am worried about the medical bills. Is there any hospital in Houston that will cost approximately $6,000 for everything including circumcision ? I am due in June and I just need to make sure. A fried of mine told me about a Ben Taub hospital close to her house that offers good affordable service. Does anyone know about this place ? I am also very afraid of the Houston POE. For houston, budget about 7k but it will still be cheaper than elpaso by the time you add accomodation i think.

However why not ask your friend to go to the ben taub hospital and get precise figures for you so you take it from there.
As for POE, depends on what you said when you got your visa i guess but you can route your entry through any poe and take a connecting flight to houston if it will give you more comfort.

Well it is usually discouraged, like buying your ticket before you get a visa or even paying your accommodation, they usually advice booking without paying. For the purpose of interviews your bank statement should suffice.

Paying in advance is probably more helpful for poe

@redeemer save. Full gestation is 40 wks + or - 2 weeks. Many hospitals will wait till 42 weeks to induce labor but it depends on their policy.

Like udoka said, mayb her fluids were short...it is prob careless monitoring by the dr but God knows best sha.

As as per not being able to pay in advance...i wouldnt worry if i were you. Just hold the cash at least $9k though you can carry any amount. You just need to declare if its more than 10k. Not everybody paysin advance though

If you declared you were pregnant at your interview or had your visa before you did then you should be fine.

Aw@willdidi, how sweet. Dont worry the baby will use the cot. My mom always says its hw u train the baby from the beginning. My brothers and i all used our cot till we outgrew it.

I plan on buying a cot for my LO as well.

You can also buy a bassinet alternatively.

@smokey...dont be sad. Hopefully she will be considerate and cook her special meals herself and as per being overwhelmed...just make a list of the things you need to buy and do. It will help you be more organized and ensure you dont forget anything

others asked her what class of visa her sister used and how immigration got her US no and if they checked that she did not have Elpaso tickets via the phone or they came to meet her physically and sent her a "letter of false statement" while in the US, those are and logical questions not to spite her or discourage her but to understand her story very well (as you have put it) and learn as well.

from what i know, the US do not even notify you by writing that you have been slammed with a ban, they typically allow you to apply and keep wasting visa application fee over and over again, till you figure it out or give it a rest.


Anyways, I still stand by my position that changing your hospital after successfully entering cannot attract a 10 yr ban. "successfully entering" being the key word there, because at POE anything can go down

Why not try locating the nearest walmart even if it means taking a taxi, buy food stuffs, come back home and cook but cook enough for others to eat. Since your husband is still around he can help you with the shopping.

The member above mentions she got a letter with the intention of not going, just like my sister... Which is deceit, not varying circumstances. The immigration people were not stupid with my sister when she was contacted (and just so you know, she did say her plans changed), she was asked to show her El Paso plane tickets and the saw she had her plane ticket to Phoenix. The letter from immigration states the reason of the punishments as providing false statements to an officer.

Also, I think we all realize that the officers sometimes are just looking for an excuse, this is a good one since it happend to my sister. Im just trying to help the forum members so you giving a contrary opinion (and encouraging people to lie) to something that is a fact that my cause someone else to loose their visa is bad advice. I understand there could be varying circumstances but you would be able to prove that by having a doctors letter stating them.

Maybe if they buy their El Paso plane tickets but why would you encourage anyone to be dishonest?

26 wks is early o! I think 32-34 wks is more ideal. That way you do 6 wks before and 6 wks after or 8 wks before and 4 wks after

We are mothers to be not doctors o! However postinor messes with the menstual cycle so you may just need to be patient..why the salt and hot water tho or why take it with andrew liver salt? That is not how you are directed to take it as per the instructions on the pack.

If you are very worried, you can go to your dr to induce your periods since the tests are negative. You may also want to look into getting a more reliable birth control in place

When she didnt show up I think Doctoresparati has to report you because of the letter they sent which makes them responsable for you. My sister recieved a call from Immigration while still in the US they were going to deport her because of her arrival times and she couldnt prove that she did not lie since she didnt have plane tickets to El Paso. They did not deport her because of her later stage of pregnancy but her visa was taken and has been denied since. I think her punishment is only for 10 years but she has to ask for a pardon and its not guaranteed she will be pardoned. Do not risk this, its not worth it. Besides, you will see you will get more than your money 's worth at Doctoresparati. Just like they do with the letter which no one else does the same, the whole service is tailored to international patients.

i am sorry but i have to completely disagree with you here. she was probably denied and banned because she dint pay her bills complete or overstayed her visa or for some other reason which she has not disclosed to you guys. how did immigration get her US no anyways or was this wahala at POE...

you are legally allowed to change your mind, change your hospital, change your location self due to varying circumstances such as your pregnancy becoming high risk, new hosts, etc. its not a crime or a reason for deportation or a 10 YEAR BAN.

@Lubu just make sure you call to cancel your appointment, pay your bills complete at MIHS and keep your reciepts and also dont overstay your visa. you should be fine
