I jumped on your post because your story is not far from mine. I married at age 19 probably because God didn't want me to end up on the street. My father was a thorn in our flesh while my mum was forming good wife. At every slight provocation he will carry his bible and lay curses on his supposed children, he will beat you like a criminal. My mum was the one providing for us, I was doing my National Diploma then. There is no kind of curses I have not heard in this world ooo. I was frustrated I wanted to leave the house at all cost. As am typing this if you enter his room he write the day anyone offends him on his wall. At age 14 to 19, I was already soaking my pillow with tears, while my mum struggle to hid her tears. He will tell me that I will never graduate in this life. That my certificate will be useless to me. No man will ever marry me. Its been almost 10 years of marriage and my husband has never for once called my parent to report any kind of issue we have been living peacefully but even in my absence this man still lays curses on me. He says I will be disgraced out of marriage. Its seems like his ears are widely open to hear evil about his children. Same thing he dose to every other person in the family. My father doesn't speak to his mum or his brothers. My brother just left for service and he has vowed never to set his feet home again same as my sister its been three years since she left home. As for me its been five years since I visited home and am not ready to go there I can't stand him. The house bring back bad memories. Our last born is the only person left and the situation is still the same last time he told her that she will never bear children in her life. At first I felt like maybe I was not his biological child and they were hiding something from me. But he does same even to our last born who looks exactly like him. When I see the way my husband loves and adores his children I so much feel fulfilled because I never tasted anything called love while growing up. I use to think that I was naturally a quiet person while growing up not knowing I had lost my confidence and self esteem. |
rockford:Did you evaluate your credentials with WES? I had an interview and the employer said LMIA has not been approved yet. But am still hopeful. |

It happened in my school days we all queued under the sun just to change our school fees tellers to receipt. This woman was just delaying for nothing. We had to check what she was doing only to discover she was playing Zuma on her phone. The experience was annoying cuz she could see clearly that people we were much waiting for her. |
obibob2020:You are very correct. If you could remember when the next Rector was appointed to take over from him. She was a very strict person. Immediately she started making inquiries about the school's financial dealings na so all the offices begin catch fire. Fire accident here and there. Let's hope he has changed for good. |
Am so disappointed in this lady. Am a member of that group on FB. When I saw her post earlier today I thought her account was hacked. When the post kept coming I was like hope this lady is not considering suicide and other members of the group have been trying to reach out to her. Severally members of the group have been contributing for widows, sick people, school fees etc. Na wa ooooo. I fear people ooooo. |
God of Oyedepo ko, God of Buhari ni. |
Is so disheartening to see the way people come here to make some comments sometimes I wonder if they are humans at all. Maybe because it was not your loved one that was consumed in that fire. Maybe because you are not that young man or woman who took a loan to invest in his or her business. For heaven sake when things like this happen it shows that the government of the day is incompetent. In a sane country someone would have been answering for this already. Some are even blaming Peter Obi, Peter Obi that left office how many years ago? Am not trying to defend anybody here. Does it mean that the Fire Service has not been getting any allocations from the government? Can we at least put sentiment apart and demand good governance from our leaders. Timely intervention of the Fire Service would have lessened the damage. I have been to main market same as Ochanja and I can tell you that it is not 2naira investment that we are talking about. A commercial hub as Onitsha with lots of commercial activities going on and yet no effective Fire Service? It is well with Nigeria. |
Thank God for these pictures they can serve as evidence against her. This woman should be arrested. She is evil. Even if the child defecated in her parlour, she has no right. Mothers should learn to defend and protect their children when the need arise. Am a mother and can't even imagine somebody doing this to any of my children. It is demonic act like this that make some children heart hardened when they grow up. |
oz4real83:A country that has crude oil as it's main natural resource but will refine fuel outside and import back to the country. More like a farmer without a cutlass. |
Westmorland:I never said I support Bobrisky and can never we are Africans. For as much as am concerned if we had a sane govt he should be arrested and charged considering the fact that he has followers who are young minds who in no distant time time will start emulating him. If the authorities know he is a threat in the society what have they done to curb him? Am only talking about how our govt form ignorance on critical issues affecting the nation. Are you aware 6 students and 2 teachers were kidnapped in Kaduna same as Adamawa. My uncle was attacked by herdsmen in Delta State. He was coming from church on Saturday evening when herdsmen attacked him shot into the car. He lost his 3yrs old son and the entire family is still in the hospital. What bold step has been taking concerning all these repeated attacks on Nigerians? |
Of all the problems this country is facing na Bob Risky day do una. We have series of kidnapping cases here and there the FG have not said anything about it. Herds men on the rampage killing innocent Nigerians the FG act like they don't hear of all these. Posterity will judge you all. |
Acidosis:Oga even if a had a tree of money growing in my house I won't give her. Does it make sense for someone to borrow money to vote? Maybe I will send her Acc No to you so can send to her. Am very sure where you stay is not better than our security house. |
You nailed it. The concentration people put into this thing can sometimes be very annoying. I have one in my compound she is 28 years no source of income. She didn't go to school at least learn a trade madam said no. Always watching BBN. Last time she said I should borrow her 2k for recharge card that she wanted to vote. She will give me back when her friend send her the money. I was just boiling inside. I just told her I was totally broke. |
If you eventually do this have you thought of how your mum will feel? My dear mother's don't give on their children just like that. You are not a failure dear. This phase is there to make you and not to break you. If your friends around are making you feel depressed please do away with them. Kindly throw that sniper away. For security reasons I would withhold the person's name. This guy is currently working with one the prominent minister now. How he got their is still a shock to everyone. This same person will go from house to house to beg for money for food. Once the semester ends he would go to help his sister who runs a restaurant just to raise school fees. Today the story is different. There is this relative of mine. Both parents died while he was still small. In fact he never knew his dad. Life was miserable for him as he had to live with one uncle or one aunty. Somehow he got a factory job in PH mind you he had no accommodation so he was sleeping with the security guards in the factory. There's is this German guy who just pick interest in him. And was always telling him how hard working and dedicated he was. Before you know it the guy said he would like him to him join him in Germany. The guy processed all the documents and they left for Germany. The rest is history. He now imports car spare parts and cars to sale in Nigeria here. In his own case he never had a WAEC. |
This is Nigeria, look how we living now. I only wish these same youths could channel same energy towards making Nigeria great again. |
ornicus:You are very correct, sometimes last year it was in the social media about pornography in cartoon network I didn't take it very seriously not until one particular day I was watching with them, in fact I was really shocked cuz it was adult content. I had to block cartoon network. Am very much at peace when they are watching ceebeeies it's highly educational. Their programs are mainly to educate kids. There is science, adventure, phonics and mind games for kids. Am OK with ceebeebies, pbs, jimjam and mindset( though for older children). |
ornicus:Its really difficult, my kids had a TV in their room. Another problem is A wants Power rangers B wants PJ mask hence they are always fighting. Till they succeeded in pushing the TV down. Now that my younger sister is around the kind of music they sing these days... Me sef tire I have cautioned her but she won't change. My boys now know BBnaija. I had to use the DSTV parental control to password all the channel I don't want them to watch. Me, I have learnt to enjoy their cartoon with them. My boys now are so addicted to their cartoons if you see them speaking you will not know that this ones have not gotten to international airport before. |
Okada man with 8 children? She must have been breast feeding on empty stomach. Family planning is almost free in most general hospitals. Tell me what becomes of the 8 children? |
Obi Agu Rest in peace. May God give Ogwashi uku a good king to rule over us. |
Davash222:The way we celebrate kids these days ehh. I wonder the kind of life we came during our time. My son graduated from Nursery school last term. Come and see beautiful suits and bow tie for kids not less than 5yrs and they were all looking like they just finished law school. Some parents even cooked food and brought to the school party some shared gifts. I was just wondering abi no be Nursery school them finish ni? When I finished school my mother just bought a crate of mineral for us and we drank in peace. |
sexybaby22:These kids they know the difference oooo. I even bought kiddies laptop for my boys. But you see my 3yrs old son carrying my laptop on his head. |
The day I saw my DSTV smart card outside the gate I knew I was in for serious business. My second boy successfully pushed the TV in their room down since then no TV in their room again. My DSTV remote is usually under the couch so I and hubby know where it is. I have only boys at home I can tell you its not easy. The day they say is fighting day you go settle fight tire. |
Though am no longer in Rivers State but I can remember that this dispute about this rainbow town started during Peter Odili's time. And the matter was taken to court after which the buildings there where demolished including my dad's house then. I could remember that blessed day peoples property were stolen. Except if its another Rainbow town that I don't known. So I really do not doubt the Governor on this one. Please let's stop creating religious war in the midst of insecurity, unemployment and poverty. |
That was how one killed a python and put it inside a bag and brought it to the house. He met me, my mum others at home so he said he brought bush means for my dad to buy. Uncle handed the bag to me when I opened it I saw snake. Hmmmmmmmm na so every body for house pick race oooooo. Even my mum ran without looking back. By the time we realised our self and came back home oga was rolling on the floor with serious laughter obviously he just wanted to scare us. |
I think your wife is just being interested in what people will say if she doesn't buy. But for someone like me I don't care. That was how one of my relatives brought Asoebi for me to buy for her wedding. How much she said 25k and I told her bluntly that I can't afford it cuz I just finished my own wedding then and my own Asoebi was 2k. In fact I never wanted it at all but my mum was saying how it will look beautiful. Even my hubby was willing to pay but for me I refused cuz I felt it was a total waste of fund so no need. Till today she doesn't talk to me and me no send. |
I think I understand you completely. I was in such mess last year. Mine was worst cuz I never had a maid. The truth is every woman now wants to work and earn money which is very important considering the economy of our country. Even when hobby was begging me to resign I refused that I don't want to be a house wife. And I can tell you that there are lots of women in that category too. The impression people have about you seeing you are a house wife is enough for you to get a job just to leave the house(Lol). Please talk to her let her see reasons with you. |

I almost passed out thank God for grace, In January I applied for a job, was invited for interview, wrote exams and oral interview. We were told that we will be proceeding to a 5 day training after the whole exercise. It was at this point that I resigned from my place of work. After some time I didn't hear from them so I decided to visit the company. When I got to the company I was told that my house was too far from the areas where they had vacancies. I was just looking at them. All the time wasted. The fact that I resigned my job for this. All the money I spent on transportation. My house address was boldly stated on my CV. These things are very common in Nigeria I don't know why... |
All I see these days are lazy men, looking for who will carry their cross for them. Women ought to contribute to the upkeep of the home. I can tell as a wife and as a mother that feeding is one thing that consumes alot of money. It should not be the sole duty of one person not to talk of the wife. |
