Christianity EtcC-gift: Clarifications Pls by feelgood(op): 9:26am On Sep 03, 2007
In one of ur responses in the thread on Genesis (by dearone), you had said that Jesus was not known by the angels until after He was born; also at creation, He was in God - not manifested.
I created this topic so you can better explain this, rather than allow dearone's confusion derail the same shd I post it there.
Sorry I'm unable to copy n paste ur exact statements from dat thread as I'm using my mobile to browse, so I'm limited.
To you pls

I trust you will not take to heart the venom that seems to come with many of our 'advices' - your man would have told you about our passion in putting across our views on many issues. Take a trip to different boards n' threads and you'll find that behind those strong words are a really folksy and nice people. That is not saying we dont have our bad sides - who doesnt anyway?
I pray your marriage/relationship will shame ur detractors. Be cool

Dear HisMichele,
I admire your stand in the face of the many unjustified attacks. Pls note that there are a lot of foreigners here that are enjoying their marriages to Nigerians & I dont see why yours should be different. Your daughter will easily get adjusted and and will find the place fun to be, you'll see. Hold on to ur dreams m'lady and dont get distracted by unkind remarks - they abound everywhere. Enjoy ur marriage girl. Regards
Christianity EtcRe: Glory To Jesus, Honour To Mary! All The Real Catholics Please Stand Up! by feelgood(m): 1:56pm On Aug 31, 2007
Dear Ebos et al,
I suppose if we all should from our various locations call on the blessed virgin Mary to intercede for us at any time, & going by ur belief, she would. Wouldnt that be ascribing the omnipresent attribute of GOD to her (since she can be everywhere at the same time to answer the faithfuls' request) - therefore making her equal to God?
Isnt it only GOD that has and manifests that attribute?

I dont see why orikinla should be vilifiedfor saying his mind - he has not lied. He said what he sees. I see the problems too, and I have a lot of terrain in the country.
But that is not to say there are no good things - and still happening- in Nigeria. But in the eyes of d world, we r not there yet.
And that's y we need 2 keep repeating d problems so our leaders dont relax. Will that discourage investors? No.
The probs r opportunities 4 them

Dear Kuns, that gov Fashola was 4 years your senior at the secondary school shows you are an Igbobian. Up IC. No doubt you'd agree that 'wherever there is an Igbobian, there always is a noble Nigerian'.
Only problem is, your harsh putdowner of another person's religion appears to be a departure from the nobility Igbobians are noted for, dont you think?

You are all just impossible - sure dont know how to place you guys.
A suggestion though, wouldnt it be nicer to get the militant commander of NiNs to the roundtable rather than leaving him at the battlefields?
I offer to take the $1m to the combatants - after deducting my commission, that is - and persuade them to cease fire for now

After going thru numerous posts in this thread, couldnt help but wonder abt this major trait that seems 2 characterise us - we majorly antagonise one another when together but unite when antagonised by strangers. It's been like this for as long as I can remember.
But then this is taking 2 long good folks. Do pls let us 'sheathe our swords'& get back 2 our saner selves. I hv friends & relatives abroad & I'm proud of them as they of me-shit or not

Passed by this thread many times because I thought it was one of those that sought to cause enmity among the religions as is so common in the forum. Just decided to look in and, I'm glad my fears were unfounded.
Good things going on here & may the God of all mercy reward your labours of love and may the devil fail in his bid 2 distract you all in this gracious exercise.
@ olowotee, the song you posted earlier happens 2 be one of my favourites.

Dear nurex, while it is good 2 focus on issues, but comments that nigeria is 65% muslim is not only wrong, false, vexatious but contributes in diverting attention from topic. Who ever told you that?
For one, I find the craze for minis, tight pants, etc (by ladies) and braids, earrings, etc (by men) wrong and saddening. But I've come 2 realise I belong 2 the old school. Sure wish we could be more decent in our dressing.

Then 'how to frustrate an infidel' is particularly ingenious & hilarious - howbeit, rings true if the varied responses and posts are anything 2 go by.
Did I really believe that islam is a religion of peace? I confess to having not acquainted myself with the quoran, but do have a number of fine gentlemen among muslims as friends and erstwhile colleagues. I admit though that the angry (and often times, murderous) reactions of their contemporaries over what I, oftentimes, consider inconsequentials in nigeria and the world over gives one the shakes - especially since they are the quoran folks like us will ever read. Their definition of matyrdom - going by the reprehensible acts - makes my english quite outdated. And I also cannot fathom the unfortunate destructions among themselves (ie shiites and sunnies) in iraq, etc
Would really want to believe islam is for peace, but the present evidences dont help.
Christianity EtcRe: Prophet Mohammed (pbuh); Of Peace And Wisdom Unmatched by feelgood(m): 6:01pm On Jul 16, 2007
David, pls tell me that ur posts were just fabrications and to just poke fun at the islamists.
Otherwise, this is particularly disturbing and dents every claim to islam being a religion of peace.

ROMANTIC HUSBAND

Husband and wife in bed together.

She feels his hand rubbing her shoulder.

She: "
Oh, that feels good. "

His hand moves to her breast.

She: "Gee, honey, that feels wonderful."

His hand moves to her leg.

She: "Oh, honey, don't stop."

But he stops.

She: "Why did you stop?"

He: "I found the remote."

There are several men sitting around in the locker room of a golf club. After a round, showering and getting changed for the 19th hole.

Suddenly a mobile phone on one of the benches rings. One of the men picks it up, and the following conversation ensues:

(H - Husband, W - Wife)

H - "Hello ?"

W - "
Honey, it's me. Are you at the club? "

H - "Yes."

W -"Great! I am at the mall two blocks from where you are. I just saw a beautiful leather coat. It's absolutely gorgeous!! Can I buy it?"

H -"What's the price?"
W - "Only $1,000."

H - "Well, OK, go ahead and get it, if you like it that much, "

W -"Ahhh, and I also stopped by the Mercedes dealership and saw the 2005 models. I saw one I really liked. It's a SLK model. I spoke with the salesman and he gave me a really good price. And since we need to exchange the BMW that we bought last year,

H - "What price did he quote you?"

W - "Only $65,000, "

H - "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options."

W - "Great! But before we hang up, something else,

H -"What?"

W - "It might look like a lot, but I was reconciling your bank account and I stopped by the real estate agent this morning and saw the house we had looked at last year. It's for sale!! Remember? The one with a pool, English garden, acre of park area, beach front property."

H - "How much are they asking?"

W - "Only $450,000 -- a magnificent price, .and I see that we have that much in the bank to cover, "

H - "Well, then go ahead and buy it, but just bid up to $420,000. OK?"

W - "OK, sweetie, Thanks! I'll see you later!! I love you!!!"

H - " Bye, I love you too, "

The man hangs up & closes the phone's flap. The other men are looking at him in astonishment and derision. The husband raises his hand while holding the phone and asks " Does anyone know who this Cell phone belong to
