out of curiosity -what is your background and why do you want to do this course --studying cloud computing should technically lead to a job with a hyperscaler (or in a datacenter as a DevOps engineer). Or in a support organization. |
great post --so am contemplating buying an apartment in lekki -but to be honest the thought alone is giving me nightmares agents are asking for 5% -yet they do not have a legal department,so am wondering how do they even know they are selling houses that have the right documents.. can you please list what it takes to buy an apartment in lekki/chevron --what documents should we be looking for and do we need a property lawyer thanks |
a simple search would have answered your question https://www.kachitech.ng/courses Yungbliss: |
I think you should focus on CLOUD COMPUTING -->you would be introduced to DevOps -which is basically a cloud service, IoT and BigData is also a cloud computing module. If you want to focus on remote learning then try udemy it seems cheaper and covers all the topics you mentioned Note that for cloud computing you would cover topics like IAAS,SAAS,PAS and others https://www.bmc.com/blogs/saas-vs-paas-vs-iaas-whats-the-difference-and-how-to-choose/ You should probably focus on one of the hyperscalers - AZURE,AWS or google. They all have foundational courses to start with. You should note that Nigeria would probably see traction in the coming years in terms of datacenters and cloud usage. Right now south Africa is getting the new datacenters. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20230601005736/en/ Yungbliss: |
this just goes to show how tough it is to live in Nigeria I was averaging about 5k/day to fuel my generator and I even have solar at home. I will suggest you get another side hustle to boost your income because I do not see 'girlfriend' expenses in your list..hmmmmm Essenza01: |
I guess we can expect the $$ to crash ---LOL but to be honest this is a weird story dre11: |
You sound like my cousin -he called me up and asked where we should go for lunch one day, while my mind was dwelling on the fish served in farmcity (plus the distractions) my cousin mentioned eric kaiser. Now the name sounded a bit exotic to me and here I am thinking I was headed to a fine steak house but sadly it turned out be an overpriced cafe. That in a nutshell describes my opinion of restaurants in lagos, abuja or ph -they are there for the 'nouveau riche' (not being insulting), and those instagram content chasers. Veryfied: |
Am just curious 'what was the outcome of the interview ' I decided not to conclude on her based on the interview outcome.' from my personal experience it seems a lot of young graduates have high expectations(rightly so) -one actually told me that she wouldn't take a job that pays less than 300k/month. you didnt put any restrictions --so easy to spend on a car or land IyaTola: |
I avoid those expensive restaurants in lagos .lol..I just wanna see those lovely ladies Veryfied: |
a girl just sent me this list wbar lounge king fisher hard rock cafe -->I guess this is still a popular place |
Veryfied:-- I normally stay around VI/LEKKI but this time I decided to stay at my own house in badore, the traffic between badore and lekki meant that most of the girls I met in lekki were not interested in coming to badore so I decided to explore the local scene in badore/ajah. Points to note -the girls are a lot cheaper in badore lol, and many seem to concentrate around away lounge which is only a few mins away from corporative villas and seaside estate. https://ng.africabz.com/lagos/away-lounge-bar-271966 landmark center is actually a very good place to hangout at night ->checkout this guy's blog https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcwsuYpUyyU if you are going to rock lekki/vi just get a hotel for a few nights ->that eventually solved my problem. |
just got back -- hard rock cafe seems to rock on mondays I tried farm city but it was pretty quiet badore --aways lounge |
its been 2yrs since you initially posted this --haven't the prices changed |
Bruh ---go farmcity..lol o |
withVoke:Interesting movie --brought back memories of isale eko -- |
This might sound insensitive but if they had built great hospitals in Nigeria --maybe they would have got away with this. |
Ijaya06:you know this is not true....even at o'hare airport $25 bucks would get a you a nice meal |
I wonder how Tinubu would feel if he loses ----personally I hope the best man wins |
Britishcoins:congrats ---building a house is a lifetime investment and the rewards would be visible soon.... |
let's pray for their speedy recovery |
masterflowx:lol..is badore as bad as ikeja |
this is an interesting topic -especially for folks living in Nigeria and elsewhere who plan to retire in Nigeria. from my experience you need to start early -and get a house ,this just makes life so much pleasurable and easier, paying rent as a pensioner is not the best way to enjoy retirement. once a retirement home is out of the way then you need to keep some money in some form of retirement plan (or just save it) -to the actual question -based on my analysis you would need to detail the essentials and put a price tag against each -every item imaginable should be included -medical bills should not be overlooked. food bills clothing entertainment (the occasional visit to joints or bars,) drinks -alcohol etc water family expenses travel (occasional holidays) transportation (probably public, uber or personal car) car maintenance home maintenance health care -or health insurance vitamins drugs --some people would need some I guess the list might seem daunting, but it is better to include every essential item -if you are lucky to have a foreign pension then I would expect that $1000 dollars a month should be fine -but I know this would not be the case for many people. As Africans we can expect some assistance from children -but I wouldn't want to burden them. |
kinda impressed with that guy -hope his fans realize the importance of healthy eating. |
Mike Tyson’s net worth, once upon a time, was $300 million dollars. After splashing the cash, and suffering from the consequences of some of his actions; Mike Tyson’s net worth is now only $3 million. Still richer than a lot of guys. |
They just killed a Nigerian woman in SA and now this one has been caught - what will be her fate - there must be something crazy about our mindset that we prefer to break the law no matter what. When they deny people visas we complain - but when most of these guys get the visas they mostly abuse it. I hope they just send her to prison and not shoot her in the head - Chinese justice. |
chemgee:6.4M barrels a day by 2040 is a drop in the ocean (In 2018, it is expected to increase to approximately 99 million barrels per day) -think about what the demand would be like in 2040 -with increased industrialization, increase in population growth etc. I would not bank on electric cars there are just too many vested interests for it to take over the world. But to your point -there would certainly be a huge demand for electric cars -but they need to be affordable and also powerful. |
erico2k2:You are right -there are more models to choose from and the volumes are increasing --but, not to the extend of threatening the dominance of petrol cars, especially in the US which has a very robust motor market. https://qz.com/1029464/what-percent-of-us-car-sales-are-hybrids/ We know china is pushing hard and it would be interesting to see how that plays out ,at the moment it is still only 4% of the total market. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electric_car_use_by_country But,what about the haulage industry, the manufacturing industries --these guys still need oil and it is evident in the amount of oil china is consuming daily (no wonder it is the largest importer of crude oil). |
Fuckyoumod:The world is awash with crude oil - the US alone is taking in billions and set to overtake SA as the largest exporter of oil. Dangote’s refinery is a lifesaver for us and we should be greatful. For those who are talking about electric cars - please dream on. The world is not ready for them, Teslas are still very expensive and the hybrids lack the horsepower of challenge the non-hybrid cars. And the appetite for refined products is still very high. |
excellent body of work |
These something great about our bravery - the Paris climber, the black man who saved multiple lives in the states by confronting a gunman. It is a true blessing. God will surely reward the Imam for his selfless sacrifice |
