proeast: Continue trying to be smart by half. Food is grown more in the North but is fuel gotten from the SW? So why using such ridiculous comparison?
If fuel should be cheapest anywhere in Nigeria using your analogy, it should be in the SS!
Just know that Nigerians are no fools and we won't accept such crass tribalism in government. Dangote saw all you are saying in ss and se yet built refinery in Lagos. The same Lagos is seaport where importer of petrol prefer. That should tell you something if you have waec certificate |

alpharoyalty: Good talk. In my honest opinion, the situation will not change until we introduce selection of people into government, military, schools and civil services based on merit and not quota system. The quota system that they are enjoying is one of the reasons they don't take education serious. For instance, majority of important civil services from custom, npc, nnpc are populated with unqualified and inept individuals and they have subsequently succeeded in collapsing those sectors of the country. Same thing with the military and governance. I am yet to understand how Nigerians can entrust their country to illiterates. I am also yet to understand why we will promote an individual in the military or civil service based on quota system and not competence. Until we introduce merit, like in all progressive countries, Nigeria can never move forward You are about to witness the difference between Nepa bill certificate and university degree in aso rock. Quota system has set us behind as a people in general |

With my traveling experience across Nigeria, this topic should be focused on comparison of state capitals. All other locations outside the capital city are all underdeveloped across Nigeria. Go to many local government in the North and see primitive standard of living yet the capital is well developed. My trip to calabar from southern west also gave me the opportunity to access development across almost all the south eastern States. The few good building you see in their villages are vacant. Original occupant must have either moved to Lagos or abroad. Yet the state capitals looks better. The number of mud house in Enugu and kogi state is high from my on the spot assessment. Ibadan is an ancient city and mud was the building material when the city was developed this is the reason modern day development was tilted to other locations away from the city center thereby preserving the old city which has now become a reference point for many to insult the city ignorantly. |

sleek214: How many people did the fraud Obi removed from poverty when he was Anambra State governor? Among the four leading candidates in the just concluded election, Obi was the least qualified.. in a sane society, Obi won't get up to 5% votes. He had nothing to offer as a governor, he wouldn't have offered anything as a president. Unemployment rate is high because many Nigerians don't think, they are as shallow in their reasoning, just like you. Awolowo as the governor of the western region industrialise the region massively as never seen before and after. Jobs were supplus to the extent that companies were at the gates of higher institutions to harvest fresh graduates! Other government came and strangulate life out of the industries while the few who survived were sold. Since then, government upon government have been insulting the sensibility of the youths just like you concluded your post. Some will say graduates should go back to the farm! The most useless government have seen was giving trader moni of 5k to graduate whose parent spend millions to educate . Thank God Nigeria missed another scammer like obi and I pray we'll never have you or anyone like you in government who will insult our strength, hardwork and sacrifices for being Nigerians under unfortunate governments. I am optimistic that Tinubu will perform |
