The question is why were the Obedients (supporters of Peter Obi) insisting that it was Governor Soludo who wrote petition that led to the detention of this now humbled Chude. Even when Gov. Soludo assured Oby Ezekwesili and many others who reach out to him that he had no hand in the boy's travail, the Obedients were driven by satanic hatred to insist it was Gov. Soludo. Now the young man has come out of detention and apologised to Chief Emeka Offor, the man he senselessly defamed and who rightly reported him to the Police. I expect all Obedients who, in typical mob behaviour, cursed and slandered Gov. Soludo for nothing should bow your heads in shame in display of fitting mea culpa. Anambra will always win. |
One advantage of having somebody with a steely personality and strong intellect as a leader is that he is always surefooted in things he does. My Governor Prof. Charles Soludo is an odogwu. He respects the Church but won't be anybody's fool. Let him keep working. Ndi Anambra are not unappreciative. APGA will always remain nke anyi in Anambra. Oh! yes, it will! |
The truth is that having observed that many Yorubas voted against him at presidential poll, Tinubu and political camp exploited the "Lagos is no man's land" sentiment during governorship election to maintain his political grip on Lagos much to detest of helpless prominent indigenous Lagos Yorubas. Make no mistake about it, Vivour-Rhodes is too inexperienced compared to Gov. Sanwo-olu in my books. Well, many would say in politics, all is fair. But that happened at cost of the fabrics of diversity and cosmopolitan nature of Lagos as a megacity getting torn on the altar personal political ambition. The inflammatory anti-Igbo remarks that followed by people like Onanuga and FFK who are around president-elect Tinubu were uncalled for. The fact is that Igbos have never equated Tinubu's partisan activities under AD, ACN and now APC as corporate Yoruba moves. It is therefore WRONG to equate Peter Obi's Labour Party activities as corporate Igbo moves rather than partisan moves, which they are. |
Well.. |
Creeper:Defending your ancestral land l by constitutional means is one thing. Fanning embers of negative tribal sentiments is another and that's what brought about Rwanda Genocide. |
Igbo people in Lagos should be wise to quit being used by Lagos Yoruba political leaders as TOOLS to achieve their political dreams. Bode George is not any different from Bola Tinubu in basic tribal instincts and sentiments. Even Chinedu Rhodes Vivour wouldn't have been any different if he won. Igbos should vote to protect their interests and not to be used as mere tools. If working with APC will ensure the protection of your interests, by all means do it. |
Congrats my Governor. Keep working. APGA remains nke anyi. Yes, it is. ![]() |
A big low from Bayo Onanuga who should know better. Rwanda Genocide was more about what prominent tribesmen like Onanuga said or didn't said which fellow tribesmen in the streets interpreted as call for action. Already, Onanuga has booked 2027 as year for possible 'action'. Dangerous! Obviously, he needs to come down his high horse, delete his dark tweets and apologize for his avoidable hypocrisy. It is important to note that this is not the first time most Igbos are voting against APC in Lagos. They had on two occasions in support of Jimmy Agbaje and on both occasions, tribal sentiment heightened but not at 2023 level. The fact is this year, many young Igbos under Obedients who are politically naive took what happened during presidential elections as victory for non-Yoruba non-indigenes. It was interpreted as 'Lagos is no man's land'. It was a very wrong move because you can't call somebody's ancestral land, a no man's land. As a result, the latent dangerous basic tribal sentiment among Yorubas was awakened and Tinubu and his men, who are mainly non-indigene Yorubas, cleverly took full political advantage to maintain his grip on Lagos much to detest of helpless prominent the indigenous Lagos Yorubas. However, it is disappointing how influential Yoruba people around President-elect showed worrying tribal colours. That's how Rwanda Genocide was born. It created impression that Tinubu's presidency might be about settling tribal scores. If it goes that way, agitations for Biafra will increase in momentum. Interestingly, many Igbo men and women worked for Tinubu's presidency. Igbos have never equated Tinubu's activities under AD, ACN and now APC as Yoruba moves. It is therefore WRONG to equate Peter Obi's Labour Party moves as Igbo moves rather than partisan moves, which they are. |

JetStar:For the politicians, the game is the game, but common-sense should prevail on the part of the voter to satisfy one's conscience no matter the outcome of the election. |
Whatever you do on Saturday, don't hand over Lagos State to somebody who is terribly deficient in requisite experience. |

Bode George destroyed PDP in Lagos by desperately trying to be what Tinubu is in APC. |

This dude Chief Wole Olanipekun SAN is very dangerous when it comes to legal technicalities. ![]() If you have a tight case, which you need to escape from, hire him and give him 3days and 3 nights to make necessary studies. After that, if he assures you you have a case, just go and sleep and watch him do his thing. |
A visit in an election week speaks volume. ![]() |
It will be a big big big tragedy if Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu won't be re-elected. He has far more public sector experience than the internship-deep experienced Gbadebo Rhodes Vivour whose trademark gaze is ominously condescending. Gov. Sanwo-Olu’s handling of COVID pandemic scare was excellent. His silent but solid infrastructural development is commendable. He is not a proud person. He has a friendly and functional personality, which is good for a leader. We can't afford to hand Lagos State to an opportunist just because Tinubu must be humbled. I believe Sanwo-Olu is not so daft not see that Lagosians are pushing back against some harsh policies and the excesses of Agberos. I am sure he will respond positively. Moreover, it will be simply a poor political move for Lagos to be in opposition with Tinubu as president at the centre. I am a proud Igbo man but who is republican as it should be and so nobody tells me what to do except what I agree with my conscience and my Chi. Nobody will use me unless I allow it. I am supporting Sanwo-Olu and praying that he wins to continue his good works. This is not about resenting change but it is about avoiding emotion and using common-sense to dodge a bullet! How far with those countries former President Obama visited without visiting Nigeria? How has the visit impacted on them? One thing I know is that his country will be great again. I am unapologetically and proudly Nigerian. ![]() |

I am sure men won't complain. ![]() Visit to pools for sight-seeing will soon rival football as the number 1 men's means of entertainment. End-time stuff! |
First, an Igbo traders-dominated market got burnt down and Gbenga Rhodes Vivour rushed there to donate money. Mind you this is not the first time Igbo voters have supported opposition in Lagos and no market had got burnt. Now, an unsuccessful assassination attempt is made on his life. Mind you Jimi Agbaje had been in his position several times in the past and never got assassinated. I have said it and I am saying it again, there is something ominous about this dude's mien. I hope I am wrong because this sh*t I don't know anymore, men!!! |
This dude's mien is a bit ominous. In spite of big push by the Obedients, he doesn't inspire much confidence. I mean he looks more like a non-smiling bodyguard than a leader who can really tackle the numerous problems of Lagos State. I hope I am wrong if he wins. |
Keep working my Governor. When we get to the bridge of 2nd term election, we will cross it. It is still a long way down the road. For now, just keep working and making history. God bless and keep you, prof. |
I encourage PDP, LP and other aggrieved parties to go to court with loads convincing evidence to convince the judges. For now, Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the president-elect. Yes, Tinubu is of the old political order but you can't say for sure that a President Tinubu working on brilliant ideas with brilliant team won't solve Nigerian problems better than Atiku or Obi. Supporting any candidate is investing your hope in a mere mortal in the hope that he will meet your expectations. I wish Tinubu well to lead Nigeria to path of prosperity and greatness. Until, he is removed by a competent court, Tinubu remains the president-elect and will be sworn in on 29th May 2023. I hope his kitchen cabinet will be a Thinktank Cabal that will produce innovative policies, ideas and push for vital reforms. God bless Nigeria. |
