johnmartus:The massive view count shows 'tons of somebody' take Nairaland seriously. It is a forum for opinions and not a news hunting media house. Drink water, my friend and take a rest. ![]() |
johnmartus:Does it matter, when you have more people viewing Nairaland per hour and making comments than you have on the websites of these newspapers and radio houses in a whole day. |
Akin Osuntokun lacks requisite experience and clout for this assignment but what do I know. |
johnmartus:Why do politicians place their campaign ads here if "this forum is useless as shit" as you said. Look, Nairaland is the real barometer to measure raw social tension or real 'street' opinions. Policymakers value Nairaland more than they value the heavily influencers-influenced Twitter or Facebook. Here everyone (sensible, radicals, psychos, childish, intellectuals, etc,) have a level-playing ground and say sh*t as it is without any kind of influence provided that any of the ground rules of the Forum is not broken? And the good thing is you can edit your crazy stuff when your sanity comes back provided you have not been quoted. |
By boldly making this statement, Arthur Eze has proven himself to be politically ignorant or rather naive. 4 years are a looooong time in politics. PDP is not anybody's property nowadays. Even Tinubu had to fight like a wounded lion and shouted himself hoarse with "emilokan" before getting his ticket in spite of 'promises and agreements' |
fuckJones:I didn't say anybody is better than anybody. I am not anybody's campaign manager. I have one vote and that's the political relevance I have in 2023 election. Make u no vex. ![]() |
With the exception of Oyo State, the other states under G5 Governors are LIKELY to be won by Peter Obi due to obvious reasons. So it won't be a surprise if they endorse Peter Obi to go with the flow. But their decision may not have any earth-shaking effect. Nigerians are not zombies. Whatever happens, it will be interesting to follow Nyesom Wike 'matters' post 2023 elections. It might be a little movie-like. ![]() Generally speaking, Peter Obi has a large percentage enlightened young Nigerians as his support-base across Nigeria. However, my fear is the rural communities across Nigeria given that there will be both Senatorial and HoR elections on the same day as Presidential Election Day. PDP and APC have most of these Senate and HoR candidates who are popular and well-entrenched politicians in their constituencies. They are already known to the rural communities. They have established foot soldiers. And more often than not, they are communal benefactors of some sorts. They will campaign vigorously for their parties’ logos, making it difficult for illiterate voters who will be given three ballot papers to sort out and vote for LP’s Presidential candidate after voting other party's candidates. Unfortunately, Peter Obi is not helping matters as he is not supporting LP candidates across Nigeria. They are on their own with insufficient resources to match the other parties' candidates. Lastly, Tinubu’s campaign slogans and songs are top of the range. You would have serious rheumatism not to dance to his Christmas themed song. Just saying! ![]() |

Asour:If you insist. |
Asour:Their ways of life. Culture. Tradition. I don't think this is difficult to understand. |
Feel like bumping into Yul Edochie right now and giving him a real shellacking. What does he really want in life? Unless na strong juju, why should any man in his right senses leave the company of this lovely family setting because of the kpekus of another man's wife? Culturally speaking, given that Yul is an Igbo man from Anambra, he is already failing with his first son (Diokpala) and first daughter (Ada) on the opposite side of the table. And with two other sons in tow, he is laying foundation for anarchy in his family line. Only an Anambra man who is senseless or under some strange influence will do this. Well, today is day of peace. No violence. Merry Xmas to all Nairalanders! |
A powerful reply that came from both the head and heart. It has logic and emotion smoothly embedded. Being NUMBERED is the deal breaker. In spite of all the braggadocio drama on Social Media, it looks like Yul Edochie is beginning to doubt if he made the right decision, by marrying a second wife instead of just taking responsibility of the child they had together. He is experiencing cognitive dissonance. Obviously, he underrated how his first wife would react. Perhaps he thought given that she loves him deeply, she would just flare up temporarily and then gradually calm down. Unfortunately, he has lost his wife and may lose his children as adults. Here, May Edochie is saying that she won't be numbered in a relationship she invested her soul, heart and body to build for 18 f*cking years. She is telling Yul Edochie that he alone created this knot and it is up to him to untie it. |
She should have included a commentary before posting instead of this damage control. In any case, my first reaction was that with the number of people present and looking on, the act wasn't meant to be secret or private because it was in full blown public glare. |
Since getting married, Mercy Chinwo has gone from the modest Christian girl we knew to performing at a political rally and now being Messi stan. Are we losing Mercy or is the real Mercy unravelling? By the way, Mbappe the African warrior will raise the bar above what Messi and Ronaldo has done. Mbappe era is about to go down. Are you ready? |
Anambra Airport is an essential infrastructural legacy, which generations to come will use with heartfelt appreciation to Willie Obiano for his wisdom and tenacity in building it. May God continue to bless Akpokuo Dike, Akpokuo Global! |
Rbae:I don't understand Anita investing in the mall as though Rudeboy was incapable of building a mall. Psquare made a hell of money before that stupid brief breakup. The mall project and TannkCo company came during the separation and not before. Look, Rudeboy as an Anambra boy should be too proud to allow his wife invest in his project given that he has the resources. On the issue of cheating, I don't know. But it is surprising that Rudeboy who wasn't wild with female fans during heydays of Psquare would be a 'dog' all of a sudden. However, I must admit that human beings change or circumstances also make human beings change and may be that circumstances were domestic. |
It looks like Anita wanted to make Rudeboy put millions in her company TannkCo as well as retain ownership interest of her former husband's mall for the purpose of divorce. However, Rudeboy being a man with little supply of emotion wasn't carried away. He weighed the 4-cardinal point of that financial request and pulled out. Anita, in frustration, relocated with their kids to US necessitating a sad divorce. I don't understand Anita investing in the mall as though Rudeboy was incapable of building a mall. Psquare made a hell of money before that stupid brief breakup. The mall project and TannkCo company came during the separation and not before. Look, Rudeboy as an Anambra boy should be too proud to allow his wife invest in his project given that he has the resources. May God help children of this failed marriage not to be victims of post-divorce trauma and 'politics'. |
Seeing Ifeanyi Ubah looking trim, young and reflecting his age is wonderful. Dude added so much pounds and was looking like a bag of cassava. Perhaps, this weight loss may be forced on him by his doctors following his BP and cardiovascular reactions as a result of that bloody attack on his entourage some moths ago. Whatever it is, the fact of life is too much body weight puts avoidable pressure on the body and its organs. |
As a self-driven and proud 'warrior' with multiple records, Ronaldo like many similar to him is struggling to come to the reality that he is no more as young and nimble as he used to be. It happened to legendary wrestlers of traditional African society. It happens to battlefield army generals. It is happening to Ronaldo. It won't happened to Messi because he has different mentality. For example, he had already accepted that PSG is Mbappe's team and he is not losing too much sleep over not being as good as he used to be. But Ronaldo has to face reality or the reality will keep humbling him until he accepts it. |
Love the way Biden relates to African presidents as opposed to Trump who saw them as a bunch of presidents from shit-hole countries. ![]() |
1. The first time Soludo ran for governorship of Anambra State, his fellow party member and the then Pres Jonathan abandoned him to support Peter Obi of APGA. The then Appeal Court Justice Mary Odili was used to frustrate his campaign until Supreme Court intervened and cleared him. I recall Chief Arthur Eze pleading with Jonathan that a "an adopted son" (Peter Obi) can never be like "a biological son" (Soludo). Eventually Soludo lost and Peter Obi won reelection. In return, Peter Obi dumped APGA to join PDP to support Jonathan's 2nd term bid. 2. Soludo and Peter Obi have never shared any political platform or interest. They have always been on opposite sides of the table. In the last Anambra State governorship election, Peter Obi god-fathered and vigorously campaigned for Val Ozigbo against Soludo who was god-fathered by outgoing Gov. Obiano. If Val Ozigbo had won, Soludo wouldn't have been a governor today. 3. The fact is Peter Obi and Soludo are political adversaries. And by the way, Peter Obi is more ruthless and 'dangerous' in political fight because he doesn't talk too much. With Soludo, you where the battle line is and when it was drawn. |

If passed, it will be a massive win for corrupt politicians who can use all their financial power as well as social and political capital to delay cases or even secure acquittal. Again, do you set a convicted murderer or armed robber free pending the determination of his appeal to a higher court? If passed, not sure Pres. Buhari will sign it before the new NASS assembly in 2023. |
I think Kanye West has been stripped of everything he has because of an anti-Semitic post on social media. I bet he is ready to be killed by Mossad any time. He is all out to turn his cancellation by Jewish 'cabals' that run US fashion, media and music industries to an avenue to constantly harass the Jews. I don't know how he will end up at the end of the day but music world has lost a gem. Well, the idea of Jews forgiving Adolf Hitler and moving on is not completely bad because I believe doing that will help them stop seeing themselves as eternal victims. I am not saying they should forget. Far from that. The same way blacks have tried to move on from the dark days of slavery, which have helped them deal with Caucasians as smoothly as possible. |
Hard to say if the CJN took a too may glasses of wine or he was merely carried by emotion. Whatever it is, he has played into the hands of his enemies. By the way, the damage Gov. Nyesom Wike did to Judiciary will unravel in years to come as a big scandal. So many MYSTERIOUS court rulings in his favour WHEN him wanted and HOW he wanted it. He did well in the area of welfare of Judiciary in his State but he did more latent damage. |
My father never hugged or said "I love you" to us while growing up but we were sure of snacks any time he was coming back from work, we were always entitled to share from the pieces of meat in his food at every meal, weekends when buys himself beer, he allowed us the sons a sip, etc. We were sure he loved us by his attitude. Well, he still beat us when we broke the house rules or play with our studies while reminding us of the need to always bear in mind the son who we are. However, each time any us of did good, he would praise us with some high-sounding Igbo traditional titles. May his soul rest in peace. For me, I will neither hug nor tell my children that " I love you".They will know by my caring attitude. I will rather use words of validation and praises to help build their personality and boost their self confidence. However, I would never compromise my authority figure as a father by not sparing the rod and spoiling the child. So help me God. Hugging and constant "I love you" will only produce simps and validation-seeking women. The society out there in Nigeria is a jungle unless you have the high-level connections. A man must be raised to be masculine enough to seek success, be a leader, a capable husband and responsible father. A woman must be raised to be feminine enough to seek success, hold her own confidently, handle pressure from men rather than seek their validation, be a leader, a loving wife and a sweet mother. |
mariovito:You are kidding, Right? ![]() |
Candidate Bola Tinubu turned turned the main WEAKNESS of his campaign into strength by projecting himself as a leader of a team that will build Nigeria rather then just a mere presidential candidate. It is a clever move that his campaign team is likely to emphasize more in the weeks ahead by projecting his main threat Peter Obi as a largely 'one-man show' or 'Mr. Know it all' candidate. It is a way of pushing back the sustained attacks from the "Obidients" on Tinubu's lack of gift of gab. Politics is interesting especially as a neutral. |
