In those years of Psquare quarrel, this time of the year was always the time to rekindle hostilities. Usually, Peter's wife Lola would wish the "twins" happy birthday and remind them that are one not two. In reply Paul would tell her plainly to stop pretending by saying one thing in public and doing another in public. Then, Mr. P's/Lola's fans vs the Fire Department of Rudeboy take over the fight from here across social media. As usual, the Yoruba vs Igbo banter becomes reignited on Nairaland. Every year this Okoye family reality show happened until their reconciliation last year. Well, good thing that they ended their stupid quarrel though they lost so much in potential earnings. Happy birthday to them and their coconut heads. ![]() |
Peter Obi needs active political foot soldiers in the North to cover much grounds but these active local mobilizers have been hired long ago by the people who dey give shishi. However, the truth is Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed will get votes across core Northern States but the issue is getting the vital 25% approval rate from good number of states. |
Finidi George is a manager with mindset of a SQUAD player. As a properly accredited manager, he could have visited Portugal's dressing room, wish them good luck and request for autographed jersey from any player he likes. How does he want his players to respect him with this kind of poor professional attitude. He is a legend with Nations Cup, UCL, etc to his name. And may be Moses Simon should have given him the Jersey to cover his shame instead of leaving him to stand stranded with a tilted head like a boy who came to buy ice cream only to meet another boy buying the last cup available. To think of it. It was Pepe ooo. Now, imagine the kind of free for all dragging that would have happened if Ronaldo played. ![]() |

Omoluwabi! |
Peter Obi was clever. He made Willie Obiano to accept all kinds of information his media team pushed out with zero challenge after his election. By the time such information became a big burden on Obiano, his attempt to put out the right information looked like witch-hunting and Peter Obi's media successfully countered it as such. Even now, the aggressive attempt by Gov. Soludo to put out the right information is still seen as envy and witch-hunting. I can only say Peter Obi was a lot more strategic and much smarter than Obiano. The main reason he overlooked his then SSG Oseloka Obaze and imported Willie Obiano from his retirement home in United States to become governor. |
Luchitec:There is no difference between Soludo and Peter Obi in this regard. Soludo is an intellectual with a touch of arrogance. Peter Obi is a principled man with a touch of stubborness. |
Manchester United needed this Ronaldo admonishment badly. The club was degenerating and Glazers needed a shake up. As a true legend, Ronaldo stepped up to sacrifice his records so that the club he loves will once again blossom. |
Ohanaeze is a NULL set. |
Okombo or whatever his name is a noisemaker. The Stock Market is there for him to go buy up the shares if he desires. What is he waiting for? Look, serious Igbo billionaires are adhering to "Think home philosophy" and setting up businesses in SE and this poor man is here chasing clout. |
VULCAN:Soludo is an world famous intellectual. It's a gift from God. There is nothing anybody can do about it. |
jaxxy:History is good a teacher, bro. But, being a good student of history is a personal decision. By the way, Tinubu is supporting Wike against Amaechi in Rivers State. |
ogwumgbe:Historically, Peter Obi and Soludo have never worked together but they have always belonged to opposing political camps. In the just concluded Anambra State election, Peter Obi supported Val Ozigbo against Soludo. So, tell me what has changed. |
Gov. Charles Soludo is the only APGA governor and technically the leader of APGA. Now, APGA has candidates across the constituencies in Anambra State for 2023 elections and they stand the risk of being upstaged by Labour Party unless an aggressive campaign is done led by the APGA leader. Don't forget that 4 AD governors (Segun Osoba of Ogun State, Lam Adesina of Oyo State; Bisi Akande of Osun State; Adeniyi Adebayo of Ekiti State; and Adebayo Adefarati of Ondo State) in SW lost their seats because they were on the fence as a way of allowing Obasanjo a lee way to get required votes. Yes, Obasanjo won along with PDP governorship candidates while the 'helpful' sitting AD governors became jobless, leaving Gov. Tinubu of Lagos as 'king of the jungle'. History is full of lessons. Gov. Soludo committed no offense in protecting his interest and that of the party that gave him platform to become governor. Lastly, it must be said that Prof. Charles Soludo has always had first class brain even from his days as Senior Prefect in Uga Boys High School. So, I am sure he worked for his professorship and still working to uphold it. Professorship is earned not gifted. Prof. Osuji is merely being emotional. |
maestroferddi:It can't make sense to you unless you have sense. |
toprealman:I am sorry you are not busy working and you have too much chasing shadows. I am truly sorry... |
kelvinklein219:You are mad |
lugiano1:Can we say that Peter Obi was practising witchcraft against Prof. Soludo when he supported Valentine Ozigbo in the last Anambra State election? Wasn't it that Peter Obi pursued his political interests though it was detrimental to Soludo's interests. |
chyll:In "mobocracy" the issue of dissent is not allowed otherwise you are cancelled or killed. It is a case of herd mentality. In democracy, it is 'one man one vote' that aggregate into majority or minority as the case may be. So, it is an anathema to place "mobocracy" alongside good old democracy even with its downsides. |
Democracy is about convictions, interests and choice. It's about freedom of expression. Democracy abhors mob dictatorship. Soludo did nothing wrong. Pursuing one's own interest is not greediness. Igbo proverb says "the house you live in is what you should always maintain". |
Ok |
Ckonnet:Soludo is not petty. He is the only APGA governor and technically the leader of APGA. Now, APGA has candidates across the constituencies in Anambra State in 2023 election and they stand the risk of being upstaged by Labour Party unless an aggressive campaign is done led by the APGA leader. Don't forget that 3 AD governors in SW lost their seats because they were on the fence as a way of allowing Obasanjo a lee way to get required votes. Yes, Obasanjo won along with PDP governorship candidates while the 'helpful' sitting AD governors became jobless. History is full of lessons. Gov. Soludo committed no offense in protecting his interest and that of the party that gave him platform to become governor. |
Prof. Soludo is an intellectual that abhors bullying. Once you impose herd mentality like supporters of Peter Obi are doing, intellectualism becomes diminished as nobody is allowed to interrogate and differ from the popular opinion. Democracy is about interest and choice. It's about freedom of expression. Democracy abhors mob dictatorship. |
Well... |
Why threaten Gov. Soludo for not supporting Peter Obi as a fellow Igbo but hail Soludo's son Ozonna for breaking ranks with his father to support Peter Obi? Pure Hypocrisy! The way some Peter Obi supporters are going, they won't waste time to disown any child of theirs that don't support Peter Obi. Interestingly, Gov. Soludo hasn't disowned his son. May protect Gov. Soludo as he goes about his duties. Long live Anambra State. |
My Governor Prof. Charles Soludo has done nothing except being an APGA member who is protecting his political interests and that of his party. By the way, as far as he delivers on his promises, which he is gradually doing in spite of security challenges, he will beat Peter Obi and his boy Valentine Ozigbo blue and black for his 2nd term. |
My governor. |
We are so used to suffering in this country that we have forgotten that high standard of living is our right as citizens of Nigeria. Reason why the politicians ride us like donkey. ![]() |

Look, writing an admonishment like giving advice is very easy. The hard part is when you are making a choice from products with unknown content except what the sellers told you it did in the past. Now, let's face it. - Majority of Nigerians were upbeat about Obasanjo and voted for him but nothing revolutionary happened. - Majority of Nigerians saw Jonathan as a breath of fresh air having had no shoes in his early days and voted for him but nothing nothing spectacular happened. - Majority of Nigerians settled for the mai gaskiya army general, chorused "Sai Buhari", sang "Febuhari" and insisted even with Nepa bill as certificate that they will vote for corruption-tackling Buhari to clear the augean stable. 7 years down the line, Nigeria seems to have deteriorated than progress. In each of the above cases, Nigerians didn't call God down to vote. No, they queued up under the heat of sun and voted. The issue is not Nigerians not making effort for change but that each change started as dream come true and ended a bad dream. 2023, we will go again but let nobody insinuate that Nigerians are incapable of making right choices. And by the way, far from what the supporters of Obi, Tinubu and Atiku are screaming about their candidates, the truth is that there is no 100% assurance of who among them will REALLY lift Nigeria. We will vote once again in 2023 hoping for the best. May the best win and lift Nigeria. |
Enthroning a new political order is good but the truth is that infrastructure wise, Peter Obi failed Anambra State people. Saving money for a State that was in dire needs of infrastructure was dumb to say the least. The throwback tweets of some of current Peter Obi supporters from Anambra State who bitterly critized Peter Obi at that time for his failings were the reflection of the truth. But in the spirit of "onuru ube nwanne agba n'oso", we move. |
