jimyjames:By the way, process of secession is that simple bro. If divorce is difficult then imagine what secession would be. Disappointment and bitterness subsist in the mind and heart of original country. You can't determine or dictate what another sovereign country would react to protect its interests. For example, If not for Chancellor Merkel, other disappointed and embittered members of EU wanted to punish GB for Brexit through adverse economic, trade, investment, immigrant employment and tax policies. Look, the absence of Roadmap for Biafra or Ala Igbo country is worrying. What are plans being PROACTIVELY put in place for various backslashes that will accompany secession. |
In the absence of clear nation-building roadmap and given that vigorous "Yes" and "No" campaigns usually herald every referendum, if South Eastern businessmen, professionals, artisans and property owners residing outside SE with their nuclear and extended families storm home to vote in a UN supervised referendum, the result will be SHOCKING. #prophetic |
This is a stab on Abba Kyari's back. He should ask for immediate refund of money given to mobilize them. Of course, it wasn't done for free. |
No houses built in Naija. No plots of land acquired. 80% of money stolen at great risks but foolishly given to GUCCI for vanity products. Hushipuppi is an EMPTY VESSEL. No surprise that he broke to pieces with just a little nudge. He is a ROLLING STONE. Little surprise that he gathered no moss. He is a SCALAR QUANTITY. No, wonder he had no direction. Deserves a cell near the toilet area of the jail building. |
One successful enterprise that amnesty money brought forth is AIR PEACE. Don't ask me how. Ask Kingsley Kuku. |
officialfoodie:True, that! |
Truth be told, illegal detention for money is common among security agencies in Nigeria. They take large sums of money from influential and wealthy persons to frame and detain enemies in their families, villages, trade and politics. In most cases, the detention is to keep the enemy away to enable a plot, an event or a project to be executed. For example: How on earth did a responsible Abba town industrialist got suddenly arrested for firearm possession, at a critical period, when his town was fighting a popular Billionaire from a neighbouring town over a piece of land in Anambra State? Now if above relatively high profile case happened, then one can imagine what happen to NOBODIES in remote towns and villages. Unfortunately, some of these enemies end up as Awaiting Trial inmates or morgue statistics. However, the irony of this whole thing is inspite of our HYPOCRISY and PRETENSION, most Nigerians would NATURALLY use money, kinship, friendship or sex (for females) to induce police officers or friendly soldiers to teach their enemies a bitter lesson if they have the opportunity or the connection. #Reality |
PhilipReigns:I agree with you. Tension and panic mood can lead to multiple blunders. |
The summary of this article is that Abba Kyari manipulated and scammed Nigerians into believing that he is supercop when he is an ordinary 'Police Eliza'. A bit caustic but quite thoroughly convincing. |
Abba Kyari didn't paint himself as an intelligent police officer. He covered himself in ignominy rather than in glory. He disappointed those who trusted him, broke the hearts of those who admired him and brought joy to those who hated him. Obviously, he got too comfortable with his official powers. He got carried away with his much-feared and admired crime-fighting exploits. He conscience got numbed by unaccounted impunity committed in the line of duty. From phone calls, text messages, Whatsapp chats to Facebook posts, Abba Kyari left easily traceable digital footprints all over the place. Agreed that he never expected Hushipuppi to retain their chats as trophy but to delete after reading but generally using his official lines for such illegal 'runs' was too dumb. He didn't display native intelligence, 'street-wisdom' or acquired intelligence. I am sure FBI agents were chuckling and shaking their heads about Nigeria Police while working on this case. I bet even the illiterate bandits in Zamfara forests would do better. |
Well |
Bribing some police officers to detain Precious Chikwendu like Hushipuppi bribed Abba Kyari to detain Chibuzo Kelly Vincent will eventually not end well. |
Faliure is an orphan. |
Ok |
yusluvmotors:Yes, of course every US embassy has CIA agents just every Nigeria embassy has NIA agents. I don't know about FIB agents that goes to IGP office everyday to argue with him about Abba Kyari. Look, this is not the first time an extradition case has been done by FBI and so they know the procedure, namely, that AG of the federation needs to initiate the process in a court working with evidence provided by FBI. |
Ok |
What Sahara Reporters' SOURCES told them about Abba Kyari defence before the panel are things that could be imagined by any creative mind. By the way, I doubt if FBI agents have camped in Nigeria and go to the IGP office everyday for stormy session. Whatever happens, Abba Kyari is deep in pit of smelly poo. I am convinced that instead of extradition, his legal team will push for local prosecution for bribery and criminal abuse of office. He might eventually settle for plea bargaining. And it is in his best interest that all these happen before 2023 for obvious reasons. |
Oh, well! |
I am ashamed of Coalition of Northern Groups (CNG) and their ignorance. Honestly, there is urgent need to flatten the curve visionlessness in this country. Our leaders are so focused on how to share oil revenues and loot it. Common preparing a small contigent for Olympic Games was impossible for us. I am particularly pissed that most athletes representing Nigeria at Olympic games are Southeners. What would Northern leaders gain from wasting the sundry talents of its young people because of useless conservatism. Smh |
Yul my guy, the truth is that blessed is the hand that gives, than the one that takes. However, no do pass yourself. Just do your best and leave the rest. One more thing, Yul, just shut the f*ck up if you don't want to give. Thanks. |
An old issue recycled and exaggerated by a faction of Kwara State APC. |
Until the shortcomings of the constitution that created faulty foundation are corrected, until equity among the regions are enthroned and until the federating units are empowered constititionally to develop their local economies away from oil, Nigeria wil be stunted in growth and development. It won't matter the political party in power. |
It is only fair that anybody who leads any anti-government cause or movement which requires his followers to willingly suffer pain, imprisonment or death MUST be ready to also suffer any of those consequences if the fight requires it. Even at SUG level, student leaders who led protests for improved student welfare always knew they could be expelled if violence developed but still went ahead and eventually took the expulsion as calmly as possible. However, the truth is that survival or self-preservation instinct is strong in every human being. So, there is nothing wrong with such leaders fleeing if they could when they come face to face with dangers posed by government agents. But when arrested, such leaders should face their moments of hardship with CALMNESS that is devoid of regrets and bitterness, with BOLDNESS to encourage other members in custody as well as followers outside and with HOPE to keep living for future success no matter how bleak things look. So far, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is doing just OK, going by feedbacks from his lawyer. |
Choose your battles wisely! |
Bagudu, Buni, Malami, Amaechi, etc should just accept that the game is abruptly over. Tinubu's camp is back on level ground. |
Precious Chikwendu deserves an access to her children as mother. There is no evidence that she is a psychiatric case or that she has documented incapacity to be a loving mother to her children. FFK should do the right thing before the court gives an order he will regret. That's what happened to Atikus's son. |
Poor piece of speculative writing. If pieces of evidence provided by FIB are anything to go by, Abba Kyari's case is a straightforward professional criminal misconduct case. It has nothing to do with Pres. Buhari. It is a personal Abba Kyari's cross. |
While we await the politics and politicking that will follow constitutional amendment, why can't the geopolitical zones especially SW, SE and SS begin regional cooperation with low-hanging fruits: - Regional economic development plans and activities for cooperation and integration among member states. Programs that will boost agricultural production in line potentials of member states, small business development programs, etc - Regional sports competitions to harness gifted youths to give them a head-start in life - Regional football leagues to harness talented youths to use to become professionals - etc etc I am sure if these activities and more were already taking place at Southern geopolitical zones, the Northern zones would have begun their own, which would have ultimately made the case for restructuring easier to pursue. |
