WinningEleven:I always like your questions. And I don't,mind you keeping them coming. You can now see what I meant that you cant fast away your flesh, fasting will only help you keep your body under(1Cor9:27, 2Cor11:27), so that it wont supress your spirit, and the full benefit will come after doing it for years. Read below: Finallydead: |
shadeyinka:This might really scare solite3, and it seems shadeyinka, you've been intimidated by his misconception of scripture, like they are trying to do to 1StopRudeness, so I'll help you say it. Your missionary friend/sister is by all standards an APOSTLE, not just standing in for one. Let me scare solite3 even more, there are thousands more female apostles, apart from Junia (Rom16:7), that MuttleyLaff did well to bring up. Eminent among them, in our day is Apostle Heidi Baker in Mozambique who trains and sends out missionaries(many males included) all over Africa through her IRIS network. In fact, I know someone who was commanded by the Spirit to go join IRIS. He is a missionary in Sudan, with his wife today. Solite3, the nightmare isn't over yet. Did you know that Foursquare Gospel church was started by a woman who headed it (General overseer of all male pastors under her) in her lifetime. Or was Joyce Meyer called by Satan. Read her testimony and how God called her. I could go on but.... BlueAngel444, who forgot that the great commission was given to the entire body, not just the twelve as captured in the words "behold, I am with you even to the end of the age" says we should humble ourselves and accept God's word on this matter as it is but the humility God really wants from our generation of christians is to understand our deprivation of knowledge of doctrine and humbly depend primarily on the leading of the Spirit for our walk and His illumination to us of doctrine/scriptures, rather than trying to take scripture at facevalue with our blurred intellect, even at the times our understanding obviously goes against the principles of Christ, which always leads to false doctrines and heresy. Have you considered our deprivation in scriptures in that all we use today for NT doctrine is the epistles written to address matters arising for those who were taught by speech the doctrine, of which none of us was present in the classes. Maybe if you were, you would have understood like everyone whom Paul wrote to clearly did(because they were taught), the concepts of spiritual womanhood and manhood, and its application in church administration, the seven degrees of spiritual womanhood( Is 4:1), the spiritual apparels of womanhood (Is 4:1, 1Tim2:12) and how the spiritual woman is saved by childbirth (1Tim2:15, Rev12:13-16), and you would even see that you yourself are among the women referred to in Paul's parable. Do you naively think we have every single thing that was taught by speech to early believers or was there ever a time that any of the apostles wrote an epistle to outline all of the doctrine of Christ for future generations? Three specific times in all his epistles, Paul spoke of church administration consistently using the same figure parable of spiritual womanhood and manhood. But we, being ignorant of what he had taught the churches about these spiritual figures, took the figurative and applied it literally resulting in this false doctrine here. When the Lord took flesh and blood and crucified it and brought forth the risen new creation, he broke all barriers between all flesh and blood, whether gender, race, societal status and united us on the front of our equal sharing in flesh and blood into the inheritance(Gifts and all) in the new creation(Gal3:28). Stop belittling His sacrifice, solite3. All flesh and blood is EQUALLY unfit for Christ Gifts except by Grace, and male and female have the very same tendencies so quit with all that women tendencies blah, blah. If the gentile and Jews can hold positions in Christ alike, so can male and female according to Gal 3:28. And don't you know that by the mouth of 2 or 3 witnesses shall spiritual matters be established alone(Deut 17:6, 19:15, 1Cor14:29). Learn this today, you should never bring forth a doctrine without 2 or 3 witnesses, because anything God intended we know, he gave it more than one witness. Now tell us Solite3, apart from Paul, do you see anyone saying that females should not hold certain ministerial roles. No. Because, it is not in Christian doctrine to share Christ and his gifts according to gender but only through faith/grace(Rom12:6, 1Pet4:10) and Paul himself never had the thought of gender-specific ministry. We only misunderstood his encoded parable. I hope you don't like Muttleylaff suggested, go around kissing our sisters with holy kisses because it is written. I also hope you haven't cut off your right hand or right eye whenever it looked at wrong images because God said so. I asked you a simple question and you failed woefully in your attempt to answer. How can the woman in 1Tim2:15 be a literal female, when this woman's salvation is through childbirth. What happens to barren or celibate women. What about unbelieving females who also give birth, will they be saved or partake in Christ's work for making babies, not to mention those out of wedlock. You gave a clumsy and comical answer that could pass for nairaland joke of the year- that women, having by nature, controlling tendencies over men(like we men don't. which is also a big lie in many cases of women I've met, who are rather too submissive), will be saved from that when they give birth...my, my. MuttleyLaff could help us with a good meme for that. There isn't even a single dominant woman who became submissive after childbirth. My question was just to help all see that this was a parable of Paul. Or again would you say Paul is delegating prayer to literal men (excluding women) and dresscodes to literal women. So that prayer is now gender specific? Solite3, stop bothering our women whom God is calling to pastor please. |
solite3:Wow. Solite3 would you go this far? So it's still not obvious to you that Paul is speaking in parables which the early church clearly understood, but unfortunately most in our generation don't. You'll probably also claim that the woman in Rev12 was a literal woman or that the Lord meant in Jon16:21-22 that the apostles were all women. And yes, the dress code there is also very figurative with each detail having its spiritual parallel, in case you dont know. Solite3, it's such a clumsy defence you have given to say that literal childbirth is part of how God saves the woman without considering the sisters who will never give birth on earth. I thought you also believed in salvation by solely grace but here you are adding childbirth exclusive of Christ's finished works, for women. According to you His salvation plan is gender specific. Even your conscience alone should tell you that an unbelieving lady also gives birth and will never be saved by that. And FYI, I never said the text doesnt apply to the modern woman, I said it doesnt apply here to any literal woman either in those days or now. The Holy Spirit can never go against His word but you can by just misconstruing it and not depending on Him to help you understand. Solite3, since you failed to give a valid rational answer to my question, it's not too late to close down this thread or else you have all the time in the world to try again. Go read Rom16:7 while you're at it and behold the name of the female apostle who was not only an apostle but a chief apostle, in Christ before Paul. |
TrollKiller:You will never win by struggling but you will surely win by the Life of Christ manifested in you. To have His life manifested in you, begin by mechanically denying your freshly lusts (both towards women, by ceasing to look at obscenity and also all other known fleshy tendencies). Of course, in the case of lust towards women, your attempts will be met with many failures(as it has already built a stronghold in your life) before His life is manifested in you but don't let that deter you, you are in process of activating His life, in which is your victory, only if you persevere in spite of a billion failed attempts. When your attempts have reached the mark, you will see a miraculous event occur. It is the Christ in you manifesting His life, at that point you will not experience a struggle again with it, but will see His Spirit literally carrying you by His own ability, hence complete victory over that lust. I await your testimony. |
Mcuzy:Most people think when God gives commandments, He is stopping us from having fun and freedom of expression but the truth is God's laws, however hard they seem, only protect us spiritually from the satanic realm and activate the holy angelic realm to help us in life's journey. This is why God gave very strict laws to the nation of Israel in Old testament Times, so the angels could assist them and shut off the demonic realm trying to malign them. OP what you experienced shows you practically, that the mind is actually a link to the Spirit realm and by abusing it(through perversions like porn, thriller and horror movies, hypnosis, sorcery themed videos, New age practices etc.) you open it to the demonic realm. Start by shutting down the link to the demonic by cutting off whatever has opened this gate. While you're at it, in any other such experience, even if your mouth is tied, call on the Lord Jesus to save you in your mind, and He will help you if you agree to repent. You can also, if you wish, make Jesus your Lord by true faith and He will give you power to break stubborn habits. Oh, and for the people here telling you about sleep paralysis and some ambiguous terms, remember you were once like them but are now more spiritually enlightened than them due to your personal experience, so don't listen to their ignorance. I assure you, everyone of them will change their mind if they ever have a personal experience too. I believe completely in all verified science and tech and I therefore believe in the spiritual realm that produced and influences the natural universe, not in vain religion, empty of reality but in true contact and relating with a real and living God. It's wisdom to walk on two legs rather than one, since you have both. WinningEleven I see you here, I welcome you into 2020 with the Fathers grace and peace. Didn't see your response to me in either of your two threads. |
solite3:I invite 1StopRudeness, shadeyinka, BlueAngel444 as witnesses found on this thread. Solite3, the scriptures are full of divine parables and if we always take them literally and without the Holy Spirit's guidance, we end up with false doctrines and host of confusion leading to even our own condemnation(Jam3:1, Matt5:19, 2Pet2:1-2, 1Tim1:3-7). If you're willing to take my advice, I always advise believers to quit trying to teach scriptures especially contentious themes that seemingly disagree with the basic principles of Christ. Rather invest in spiritual growth(which is all that really counts in eternity) through knowing the Holy Spirit, obeying God, and encountering Him on deeper levels continuously and He will reveal Himself to us and whatever needs to be known in scriptures in due time and the right order. I'll give you a chance to save this thread, otherwise please close it down as a mistake for the sake of the innocent lambs, especially females. If you can answer my question unequivocally, then I'll know what next. But if you can't, then you have only misunderstood this scripture and should shut down this thread. Here goes, If you truly believe the women being referred to here in 1Tim:11-12 are the female gender around us, then how did God manage to integrate childbirth into their salvation programme, (v15). Please also include in explanation what God will do about the barren women who will never give birth as well as all celibate females and even the male gender who will all never know childbirth. I could easily tell you the interpretations of Paul's parables here but as Muttleylaff knows well, I usually avoid raising questions so I'll leave only a clue: the wise will find the answer in between my very words. The Holy Spirit is anointing so many women today into the pastoral office not as exceptions or special cases but as a norm under Christ, in which there is neither male nor female, even where spiritually capable men are, friend. Don't frustrate their blessed souls because of your misconception of scriptures, which the Spirit never revealed to you. |
Solite3 are you actually saying that women can neither be pastor's nor teachers over congregations having men? |
MuttleyLaff: The other most important thing is having a paradigm shift. This is something I and Finallydead were going to talk about and explain the dynamics of it to WinningEleven.Still waiting patiently for this. Could tell you would bring a beneficial perspective from your questions. Self-restraint is a learned and/or acquired skill. Overcoming lust comes with training of the mind. Like get to the point, of giving a cat a bowl of milk to guard and nothing happens to the milk getting being slurped up by the cat, lolVery true, sir. Hope winningeleven is seing this. Men must be taught the mind's capacity for programming and reprogramming by repetitive habits over time. If we begin to habitually and persitently turn off the lustful look every time an opportunity is presented, disregarding failed attempts, we would eventually reprogramme the mind how to respond to opportunities. Now, if one is not fortified, if one is not grounded in the word of God, if one is not standing on the word of God, if one loses focus on God, if one hasnt the regard for God in him, like Joseph had (i.e. Genesis 39:9) and if one is not self disciplined, then one is giving the devil a freehand and easy access to try and exploit weakness or dent(s) in ones armour.Exactly. Failure in this begins with a heart disconnected from God. A living, bubbling relationship with God really is a most important protection. Once this is in place, other steps become easy to implement. Without this the demon of lust becomes so powerful. Again one has to know exactly why he should desist from lust. A wrong 'why' would complicate issues. A good why is you can't cheat laws of existence. Lust with all its costs will surely Rob you of maximizing your potentials. It will progressively impede and kill your potentials. All that energy directed towards your life goals will surely make you a greater achiever in life whether spiritually or physically. I should come back later when am free to add to this. |
MrPresident1:OK. I've completed my initial post now so do what pleases you |
MrPresident1:OK then. Satan already took the accuser of the brethren position, it's alright to scramble for and get the "rebuker" of the brethren post, if it makes you feel better. In any case I'll just finish what I'm posting here for the sake of others |
MrPresident1:I will give you a benefit of doubt that you know how to discern by your spirit and advise you wait till I finish my posting(I'm still working on it and will let you know when I'm done) to make an informed response. |
MrPresident1:What does that mean? |
MrPresident1:No bro. Juxtaposition into confusion. This is not how to see this. Jesus is the man and the seven women represent the seven degrees of believers. 1. David is an offspring of Angels, and by extension Jesus, via NahshonDanger bro, danger. What loose conclusions! Jesus inherited no drop of blood from David but the Holy Ghost inserted into Mary's womb. He is only David's heir by spiritual genealogy. Even when we become like the angels of heaven, and do not need to marry, we will still be men and women and we will bear children, this is where an understanding of Isaiah 4:1 comes in again. It is the resurrection, but we are still described as man and woman. Seven women and one man…When we become like angels with resurrected bodies, we will lose the shame of our unclothedness, our genitals and reproduce by word of mouth only like our Father. There will be sex in heavenIs it due to love for sex or what? The only kind of sex in the Kingdom of God is a deep mystery between Christ and His church much more pleasurable than that we have known on earth. It is the flow of His life within us tangibly, doing more of a rush in our brain and every hormone than earthly sex could ever dream to. The flow of His rivers and His wine in us leading to reproduction of Christ like systems from our inside to the outside. May all pay the price to know this. Amen. OK I think I'll stop here. So MrPresident1 the rebuker, you can rebuke me now if you still wish. *modified |
MrPresident1:The U.S. and U.K. will be fully brought out of their unholy association with the E.U and will be restored through much tribulations to sheep nations. The E.U. will be the face of the Babylon in the end forming a ten-nation government led by the antichrist. Sufficient preparations are already in place in Brussels for this. |
MrPresident1:Actually I have to agree with Muttleylaff that Christ is software i.e Jesus in software mode and as many as engage that software in their system become the hardware(body of Christ) and are the true Israel of God. The resurrected Jesus is the hardware mode of Himself and is the head of this company and He is the Logos and nature of God, the principle behind all God is and does. The law of God is His mother in any created system(e. g. earth) because it remains the only way through which He can be reproduced in that system and is fully identical with Him, the nature of God. Most importantly is how we engage this software and that is by keeping His laws and living the crucified life. |
The church has a 40 year window to demonstrate the power and glory of Christ's redemption through the enlightened believers and those who pay the price to be holy vessels for Him. It will be in the similitude of Moses and the sons of Israel/Joshua and the conquest of the promised land. This is how the gospel of the kingdom will be preached in every nation and street corner and individual of the earth(Mt 24 :14-15) before the reign of the antichrist which will be the final test of all those on earth. It will no longer be in empty human words but by demonstration of His reign over all systems: religion, education, media, entertainment, finance, government and family systems. So that everyone will have a perfect witness from God of Christ's salvation and be able to make an informed choice. So either sit back fellows(you have until at least 2060, if you don't sleep before then) and watch the most epic event in history or join in and mark your place in it. |
KingErnesto:If you persevere in this waiting on the Lord, He will bring you into this translation/baptism from your current school of the Spirit into His own righteousness that relieves you of self effort and consequent failures and unsteadiness. If you don't persevere, you will remain in your current season and will bear all its consequences. Many youths, though now unknown in the world, are equally being brought into this. Shalom |
The next verse is one the people with an agenda of promoting false doctrine like to throw out. It’s the parable of the ten virgins. Weknow by reading the entire account that five virgins were let into the marriage and five were not. What did the bridegroom (Jesus Christ) say to these last five virgins? “Verily I say unto you, I know you not” Matthew 25:12 . Jesus never knew these last five virgins. Why, you might ask. Because they had no “oil” for their lamps (they were void of the Holy Spirit). They were not born again. You see, Jesus only knows and allows the ones into His Kingdom who have said yes to Him. “Yes Lord Jesus, I believe”. These are the folks who become born again from above. Everyone who places their faith, trust, and hope in Jesus Christ and Him alone for salvation is justified in God’s eyes and will inherit His Kingdom (they will be raptured) if they do so before the rapture takes place. The truth of the matter is this. All Christians will be Raptured. The problem is that not all people who say they are Christians are being truthful with themselves. It is not my place to judge whether or not a person is a Christian. God knows the heart of every human and He alone stands at the juncture of judging. But I can tell you this, He knows all who are His and He knows who will become one of His children before Christ’s return. To correctly understand the parable of the ten virgins, you should actually put it in the perspective of preceeding warning. (Mt 24:45-51). It shows us that in the Christian faith, there are two kinds of servants: the known(friends) and unknown(Mt 7:21, 1Cor 8:2-3) . Though all servants who keep their faith till the end will be saved from damnation. Only the known will be part of the first resurrection(marriage of the lamb) which is the christian prize, that we are told to run in such a way as to obtain because if we don't, we won't obtain(1Cor 9:24-27). Paul knew he had to follow certain rules in order not to be rejected/lose this prize. The unknown in the last days will have to buy more time under the difficult, wicked reign of the antichrist to join this celebration in the millennium.(Rev 13:7,10 Rev 3:10). Believers are always taught in scriptures to make preparations towards this never to be complacent about it as in that lies danger of missing it. So in a nutshell, all believers(servants) who keep their faith till the end will be saved from damnation but only those who pay the price to be known will join in the wedding of the lamb(rapture), while others will go through tribulation of the antichrist into the millennium. There are of course more details but answers will come with their questions. |
You may not fully understand this but you will as it unfolds. Dream 1 shows you will undergo a baptism in God that will bring you out of the foundation of the old creation into the foundation of the new creation leading to the formation of Christ in His lamb nature inside of you. You will rise in the spirit of Elijah after this baptism. Dream 2 reiterates this. You will or have begun to serve the Lord in a certain limited capacity(the gospel you preached was not fully effective) and from there you will undergo a season of transition(represented by darkness) which is is also the Baptism. This will be quite chaotic and unsettling inside of you (the chaos you saw) because you will be shaken to your foundations but in all it will lead you into the transformation in the nature of the lamb even in a renewed mind (in your heavens). Dream 3 reiterates dream 2. While still in the old creation(neighborhood), you will or have been led by Emmanuel(presence of God. be sure to always seek this) to a translation(through the Baptism) into the new creation. Emmanuel attempts to make you know you're not alone in this present school of the Spirit, but many other youths around the world are going through the same. The call is same to all to come out of this initial order(old creation, though you will walk with God's presence for a while in it) and be translated to the His new order(creation). This will be effected when you're truly brought into the revelation of your own filthiness, after which a season of transition(described above) will be initiated to grant you the new order of Christ's righteousness. Still glean what you can from shadeyinka, healthserve, Tellthetruth etc. Most importantly pray to fully understand by the Spirit. Grace and Peace from God. KingErnesto: |
MuttleyLaff:Thank you so much. I, in turn, pray you into 20/20 vision for the decade, so you see perfectly all angles and with a perfect lens the mystery of Christ and 20:20 scale measurements so the Lord will bring your life into a perfect balance between His plans in eternity and your life on earth. Amen. God bless you with PLENTY as from 2020 |
Daejoyoung:OK. It's still okay to work with this. The girl isn't burnt to save her, no. She's simply a scapegoat that'll help others run from Sin. Yet from eternity standpoint, she's not lost. And from time standpoint she's of no use on earth cause she will be enslaved to sexual sin without a possibility of being delivered under the OT provisions, she will grow worse and become a little leaven... The law was harsh relative to today but it's where God could start from with men to bring Jesus on the scene. |
Guy1979:God bless you bro. If only believers are taught how to be led by the Spirit, not only mere intellect, even in the engagement of scriptures, we won't have denominations because God(the Spirit) is not the author of confusion. Every denomination and sect, as well as every seeming contradiction in scripture is simply a result of men's blurred intellect trying to handle the spiritual, but alas! the carnal man/mind discerns not the things of the Spirit, it is in enmity/opposition to God. |
Ihedinobi3:I can go beyond what you said without contradicting it as much as NT does OT. As for common ground, it's never important except at those times that Truth lies in the common ground of the differences. Have a blessed day. |
WinningEleven, I think I'm liking your desire for God. if you stay this way, help will always come your way. About your question, there is such a concept of mentorship/discipleship in the gospel and if rightly done by those who have really walked with God with fruits of the Spirit overflowing in their lives, you would gain a lot. However, truth is its not always an available option and God knowing gave us the Holy Spirit. Even the best men won't always be there for you but He is. 1.What you need first is to be taught by one with quality experience how to walk with the Spirit. So you can always hear Him and follow His perfect leading in every circumstance that comes your way. He is the ever present help. 2. Someone has rightly said up there to stay away from sex and other vices. To be honest, its easier said than done to subdue the flesh and all its vices except you are taught the secret of keeping full of the Holy Spirit Eph5:18-19. This is your sure fleshproof formula. Be filled daily and you'll be so satisfied in His presence you'll never crave anything of this world. But, ah! Do you know how to be filled daily? 3. Equally important if you want to stay on course is what many youths lack resulting in getting carried away in vices. Get a vision for your life from God. Seek God until He reveals His plans for your life, your purpose and calling. When you get this, you'll be so focused on it you won't get caught up in the flesh. 4. Stay away from false doctrines. This is hard to tell sometimes but any which does not tell you to pursue righteousness and develop Christlikeness(1Tim6:11-12, 2Pet1:5-11) by depending on the help of the Spirit is bad for you no matter how good it sounds. e.g the doctrine that says you need not do any works now that you're converted because you're automatically justified by faith. (Jam2:17-20, Php2:5-13) and some others. So don't get carried away just because a doctrine is reigning amongst your peers. Any doctrine you ever accept should produce practical spirituality in your life, otherwise throw it away. From an experienced viewpoint, I tell you after many years in Christ, the most important thing you'll look back to and always be proud of is that you got closer to God and knew Him more intimately and personally over the years and grew in your character to be more Christlike. This is what you'll also regret in eternity if you miss. Theres more but let me stop and wait for you to digest this. I await your reply to the other post. |
Ihedinobi3:Ok. Your position doesn't conflict mine. I was trying to find a common point in what you both were saying but its still very fine if you hold the above position. |
Daejoyoung:Sorry, please read my edited post. Theres more. |
Hi Daejoyoung First thank you for lessons on how to quote, still not just working out for me, l end up quoting the whole thingO. I see. Just highlight the bits you want and insert them in the middle of the
like the xx, by clicking the quote button after highlighting any desired text. ln what sense does it make a pathway in dealing with sin nature? l read all these as a figure of speech by paul to say that we are dead to sin and now alive with...O no. Paul's not using figures of speech. We are actually supposed to experience this deadness to sin and life in Christ by following Christ's example, of course, granted only if we already have the earnest/foretaste that faith brought to us. So the unbeliever cannot have that hope by following Christs example, it will only be dead works for such. The gospel is simple. If you really have faith that God transformed Jesus by a certain power of resurrection from flesh and blood(Adamic species) to a new creation(resurrected Christ) because of His consistent obedience(in the mode of self-denial) all through His life up to the point of ultimate obedience of death on the cross, then follow the same example and you will see that power transform you after Christ's resurrected image(Php 2:5-13, Mt16:24, 1Pet2:21). Such new creations after Christ have fully appeased God's wrath against sin by taking advantage of and applying to their lives Jesus' pattern sacrifice. Of course everyone will reach different points in this journey but as long as one keeps his faith, he need not fear hell, but misses the great privilege/rewards in the gospel if he fails to go far enough in the journey. Don't misunderstand me either. I never said Christ's sacrifice is not God's appeasement but according to the model I've presented above, this pattern sacrifice must be realistically applied to us to appease God. Our faith at conversion already gave us a tiny bit of this experience but we are called to follow the model for the full dividends. (Php2:5-13.) ...testament character. Tell me what l have to understand by these actions:Here's the thing. You may never be able to satisfy all these inquiries but understand that there's no lie in the old testament. As I said before the nature of that covenant made a lot look different than what it really meant. On each of these, you should see that the OT was a pattern of the NT, so most of those things that happened were like symbolisms for us to take a cue from their decoded NT parallels. So its the Spirit of the message not the letter that we learn from. Remember that God couldn't change the nature of these OT guys, so in a certain sense, killing them was something God could easily do to pass us a message. For instance let's take your no.4 point. The priests promiscuous daughters actually represent our wanton souls/flesh after being called into God's service and priesthood. And setting them on fire actually speaks of putting them to death by the baptismal fire of God, which is God's only solution to our wayward souls today. Harsh, you say, but from an eternal point of view, there's more to gain than the life lost. An example that scares the hell out of hardened unchangeable sinners that might just get them to cooperate. Also a parabolic code for us today to find Gods solution to such problem when its discovered. And not to mention, though she dies in her sin, she still ends up in Abraham's bosom because the atonement system covers her. So there is an explanation for each question you may raise but the fact that we don't immediately get it should not make us demean any portion of the Holy Writ. |
To be clear, I only teach that believing in Jesus Christ saves you. If you believe in Him, and you continue to believe in Him until you die or He returns - whichever happens first -, you are saved, irrespective of how you live your life. This is what I see in the Bible. Behavior does not have anything to do directly with salvation. If you behave poorly as a Christian, then God will discipline you. If you heed the discipline and confess your sin, you will be forgiven and you can have fellowship with the Lord and with the rest of the Church restored. Your salvation is not in question even then.If you ignore the discipline, it will get worse. If you eventually quit believing because you dislike the discipline, then you are no longer a Christian and the Lord will stop disciplining youand you can carry on with your sin as you please. If you die in apostasy, you will go to Torments, and you will end up in the Lake of Fire with other unbelievers after the Judgment of the Great White Throne. If you ignore the discipline but continue to believe, eventually the Lord will kill you with thediscipline so that you will still be saved although you will lose much reward as a result of your bad witness on earth, since the time that you spend revelling in sin is time lost for spiritual growth and production, which are the things that the Lord rewards with eternal rewards. All this above only covers this statement of mine its an official contract every believer signs whether they keep to it or not. If they don't of course, there are well meted consequences like satanic torments(1Cor5) etc.If a believer dies without this redeeming experience but still in faith, he will pass into heaven but this does not change the fact that God's appeasement is in the power and life force of the Lord released on the cross, dealing with sin nature in us, not just a mere pardon without an actual experience of this power. This should be the hope of every believer, to experience this redeeming power, resulting in us following Christ's example.(1Jn3:2-3, Eph1:18-20). This is what I see in the Bible. It is what I teach and nothing else. You and anyone else may teach whatever else you prefer. You will answerto the Lord for it, just as I will for what I teach too. But if you misrepresent what I teach, then you will have worse to answer for than just what you teach.Easy o. Ihedinobi3 and threat weapons. Things never got to this. I wonder if I ever presented or misrepresented your view?? |
Maximus69:Please, please accept my apologies. didn't think you would interpret not misleading the OP as freely airing your views but since you testify that 'misleading' the OP is equal to airing your views freely, then go ahead and do so, for you already testify against yourself. Never tried silencing your views but presented scriptural refutations to them thinking you would freely and willingly modify them seeing they are unscriptural but since you maintain your position. Feel utmost freedom to air your views afterall you've rightly stated that he's not a dummy. I won't engage you in an argument though now I know your authority is not scripture but preconceived notions about scripture. |
Read the gospels, jesus rarely taught people to believe in his so called sacrifice as a sacrifice of substitution appeasing God's wrath as many Christians understand it today, but his major message was the coming of the kingdom of God, which was both political and spiritual and is here with us, not marked by human observation nor is it a physical place but in our midst.I think Daejoyoung and ihedinobi3 would agree that the substitution on the cross was not exclusive of our part to follow the Lord's example he left in His earthly life(1Pet 2:21) and its an official contract every believer signs whether they keep to it or not. If they don't of course, there are well meted consequences like satanic torments(1Cor5) etc. In other words faith in Christ always includes corresponding actions on the believers part of taking Christ's place as He took ours. And this substitution was not about appeasing God's wrath by mere pardon, while keeping us in sin nature but by making a pathway for dealing with sin nature in humanity, which is realized at the end of this path, hence appeasing God's wrath. If so, then you both have no disagreement on substitution. Daejoyoung here is a picture showing how you could quote people without typing ...You said.. Just highlight whatever you wish to and click the 'message' button just before the first smiley/emoji. [img][/img] I also think its dangerous for you to cherrypick what scriptures to believe and what not to. Jesus Christ of the old testament is the same with Jesus Christ of the new. Its just that He had a less effective covenant in the old that many times veiled His truest revelation of Himself. If you have any issues understanding God's acts in the old testament, its safe to just see it as your inability to see His true intention. The old testament is all the early church had for validating doctrine and from Paul(2Tim3:15-17) and Peter( 2Pet1:19-21) you should never cherrypick old testament scripture but accept it all as authoritative, nevertheless requiring the Holy Spirit to give it perspective. |
Maximus69:15 Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you (Php 3:15). Whenever believers could not agree on a matter, they left it to God to directly show(speak to) one by personal revelation. Also Jn14:26, the Lord Jesus made clear that the Holy Spirit will reveal things to us. 1Cor 2:10-16 also shows it is the place of the Holy Spirit to reveal unknown things of God to those that wait for Him. Jesus never gave men the place of the Holy Spirit to lead believers but only gifts to help one develop a relationship with the Spirit. Those who seek God will hear Him earnestly will hear Him, not demons. No addition, no subtraction only refers to the letter of Revelation, it was never meant for any other thing that God still reveals today. I also dont know about you but I, as well as any genuine believer, dont believe Jesus because of men's testimony(the gospels only helped me AFTERwards with information) but because of personal faith in His blood which I received by the Spirit alone, making me know I am now pardoned. So don't mislead the OP. Thank you. |
WinningEleven:That's good of you. But I thought you could actually make it an inquiry thread so more people will share from their wealth of experience and you might learn from that too. You now see for yourself that you can't fast urges away in 3 days. Fasting is a discipline you incorporate into your life by regular application helping you to live above your mind and subduing your body's urges OVER time not instantly. At some point it starts paying off, if you are diligent at it. There are also other aspects(apart from fasting) to consider but it will require working with you one on one to suggest. I'm interested in whatever you've come up with to 'choke' the urges too. I'll probably know if it will stand the test of time. I also pray MuttleyLaff will finish what he started with you. My guess is we all stand to gain from that given he started on an excellent note. |
