That's why all these politicians, strong men, kidnappers, robbers and others who murder and rob the innocents of their lives and properties and cause untold pains to others will suffer same fate later.

They will pay with their own pain or those of their loved ones.

So if you are engaged in any of these wicked acts, God is watching. You or your loved ones will reap what you sow.

A lot of states in Nigeria including mine have no visionary leaders. Its really tragic

All these people killed were innocent people including women and children who went about their peaceful life like every human being but they were slaughtered for no single reason except that as at today government is not existing in Nigeria. The bloodshed WILL NOT get worse. It will get better over time, and its not going to be due to any political messiah. And it will be a collective and united effort by the peoole.

Hope he remembers that he only got there because the former governor died and serve the people with the time he has rather than his own ambition.

As a former deputy, hope he treats his new deputy well. If karma has its way, his deputy will also treat him the same way he treated his former boss. For Ondo peoples sake, I hope its positive.

Good initiative. Creates job even if temporary but half a loaf is better than none.

A serious president would have called a state security Council meeting or summoned the IGP and DSS DG and in that process it would put the pressure on them.
For kidnappers to deliberately kill victims due to delayed ransome is something new and shows a level of deep anger with the system.
I believe some of the kidnappers were people frustrated by the goverment in one way or the other.
But kidnapping innocent people is just cowardice while at the same time the government should address the suffering in the land which I believe is part of the cause.

There is no excuse to kidnap and murder innocent people. No excuse...

Its simple. They had no incentive to own such ships before. But now they do. Time for the companies to shore up their capital base and capacity.

There is no shortcut to fixing Nigeria problems. You can't sow and harvest the same day.
What Nigerians needs is a sensitive, trustworthy and genuine government that can reassure them by leading by example that the sacrifice they are making today will in due season, yeild the desired results.

I am sorry for those connected to these kidnappers. When judgement eventually comes, they are their household and future generations will partake of it.

Commendable. But what are the terms? Are they free? Would they be paying back in installments?
If a doctor leaves the system, does he leave with it?
And also importantly, how much did these go for? Are they bought at reasonable market price or are they "juicy" contracts created essentially to settle political supporters?

I totally agree that corruption hinders progress. What I don't accept is the absolute notion that the country is gone. You may say the nation is "going", but until it is gone, it is not gone.

America was once a segregated nation where blacks were kept as slave. It took a civil war where hundreds of thousands died, years of protests and activism and sacrifices of people like MLK Jnr. and others to pave the path for someone like Barack Obama.
Even still, many black and white citizens in the US still argue today that American is still institutionally racist (e.g A Sharpton, Xendi, etc). But have they ever given up? Some have, we hear them all the time. But many still believes in working toward the lofty declaration of the US declaration of independence that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, among which are Life, Liberty and pursuit of happiness.

There are people in the trenches in Nigeria still fighting for the soul of this nation. The best we can do is support them by keeping faith and hope alive, and doing our own bit within our sphere of influence.
