Birthdays are special so I wish him well. Bible says teach us to number our days, that we may apply our heart to wisdom. Hope he takes the day to reflect on his life and his contribution to humanity. And hope his remembers that we will all leave someday and give account of how we lived our lives. |
Congratulations to him. I hope he heals from the emotional hurt he seems to be bottling up inside of late. Haven't heard him talked about critics and haters the way he's been going about it of late. It can affect his game and output going forward. He |
Bliss62:There are also medical facilities there that offer medical services and treatments that have to do with longevity, wellbeing, ageing reversal, etc |
I doubt there is any law that states this but common sense dictates that one be careful in such situations. For example, if you approach a security post under high alert maybe due to high incidence of suicide bombing, you have to approach it in a non threatening manner. E.g. keep your hands up in the air, drop your backpack if you are carrying one and do anything that would help them conclude you are not a threat to them. Driving a vehicle with tinted mirror and trying to overtake a armed convoy puts you across as a security threat immediately. Why? Because they are trained to be alert to such situations. And because if anyone or group will harm a convoy, they will need to block, overtake it and get it to stop. Knowing that should help you control your impulse to overtake and embrace a non threatening approach. Even you yourself will not allow any vehicle you deem suspicious to overtake you if you have your way. |
If someone is not looking for validation, I doubt he or she will be posting unsolicited advice for everyone to japa, and then getting pissed when they are not receptive to the advice. Japa could be absolutely right for some but absolutely wrong for others. Let everyone enjoy their own space. Life is all about choices and trade-offs. No one has everything. Making a general and blanket call for everyone to japa without any consideration for their individual circumstances is just lack of wisdom |
Do all these people realize that they their children will see all these? What mouth will they get to lecture their children in the future? |
Push the national assembly to make it a law, and let them include themselves too. Shouting over just one person is a waste of time. But if Nigerians knows what the collective wealth of their politicians is, I doubt if we will ever be the same again. |
This is not a government project so pessimists and naysayers can be sure it will operate, regardless of the delays and hiccups. Its not a matter of if but of when. No private investment of this magnitude is built to not function. Or how will investors make their return without profit and how can there be profit it it doesn't operate. I think cynics will better spend their time arguing other topics like whether it will reduce price, how long before Nigeria start feeling its impacts, etc. |
Mordecai:Lol. They wrote Atiku and he did not tell them to go get it themselves. Considering his fixation on another's man record, one will think he would willingly volunteer his. Rather, he is taking exactly the same position he criticised Tinubu for. PT themselves are not sharp enough, they should have taken further steps and do exactly as suggested by Atiku and wait to see if he would not write these institutions and forbid them from releasing his records without his permission. Bottom line, they are all hypocrites. |
This guy just shamed the elderly |
Tired of listening to statistics. Been in numerous workshops and seminars over the years so I tell you Nigeria is not short of analysts who sabi analyse. What we lack are people who will always do the right for the benefits of all |
GOTVee:When the bible tells us of times when God Himself instructed the Israelites to invade their enemies cities and destroy them, kill everything that breathes, not leaving even animals alive, do you think that God does not know anything about collateral damage? Or did He not think there were innocent people amongst those people? |
Regardless, I know Nigeria will be great one day. The doggedness, can do and the never-say-die attitude and spirit of her people will not let her fail. Some will go, others will come. The foundation is being set and a new generation is rising that will bring these things to pass |
When will people learn that all this Muslim Christian, Christian Christian, Muslim Muslim rubbish won't make any difference at the end? Have we made it this far in life as individuals because every association, connection and relationship we make is based on on people's religion? |
personal59:Isn't it tragic some people desperately want to believe in a lie? They don't feel any relief that the news is false. They prefer that these guys rob us blind |
Daily Trust just throwing out sensational headlines without breaking down what these budget covers? How are we suppose to objectively analyse this and call the government out. Our government is certainly wasteful and corrupt but this kind of half information only encourages emotional reactions rather than promote objective and candid analysis and debate. What exactly do they mean by feeding for animals? How many animals are we talking about? Is there a proper zoo at Aso rock? I certainly have never heard of one. Did they call on any official to respond to this finding? I beg our news media should do better. |
There is a legal advocacy group in the US called Alliance Defending Freedom set up by Christians to take up cases involving Christian persecution. They have taken up several top cases in the US attempting to harass, initimidate or punish Christians standing for their faith. I think it's high time such bodies are set up and funded in Nigeria by our rich mega churches to handle cases like this. |
I have seriously not seen any politician anywhere in the World who do not lie, overpromise, speak half-truths or exaggerate. I don't know why anyone will want to turn them into saints. |
McLizbae:Exactly. Bishop Tutu said - don't raise your voice, instead raise your argument. But these guys can't do that, they just insult. |
numericalguy:They should not even help in emergency and whatever related issue at all since they are only there for "security". They should just follow her about like a programmed robot. No point dragging issues. Ignorance is free. |
numericalguy:What disciplinary action? You think they only perform protection and security duties alone? Do some research before claiming what is at best an incomplete knowledge of their job description |
numericalguy:Lol. You people just argue and shout out of bitterness and anger. She doesn't need your permission or validation to be kind to or assist a fellow woman. |
numericalguy:Lol. And you get the makeup artist idea from mere looking at the picture without context. Or could it be that the earring was coming off and being the person standing closest physically to her, helps her to fix it? |
I suspect this happened in public where others are. If her aide spots something wrong with the first lady's earing or anything else, nothing wrong with helping her adjust it, especially if she's the closest to her physically... |
While some see opportunities to bash and criticise, others see opportunities to explore, engage and excel. I pray this works out and many innovative and promising young people in the country benefits. |
Its simple. Nigeria hasn't reached its potential but it is not a terrible place to live. There is no heaven on earth and everyone complains regardless of where they are. Its human nature to ignore what is fine and focus only on what is wrong. Watch Americans and Britons news and hear them castigate their countries the way we also do here and it will dawn on you that chasing heaven on earth is a mirage |
The important thing is whether those who need to be there are there and those who should not are not. |
Even in life you have to make difficult decisions. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. The problem is no one believes the government is doing it for the people's sake. So far, they still have not showed any reason to. |
The only reason courts intervene is because politicians dragged themselves or INEC before it. When INEC organizes elections filled with problems and politicians refused to accept defeat regardless of whether the election is free or fair. Stop attacking the courts. Attack the root. |
Seeing your colleague 35 years after is a blessing. Some tend to pass to the world beyond along the way. |
Kai. Pay your employee as agreed and you go get mouth. |
Uptheante:Have you ever considered that the accusation may not be true? Have you ever been falsely accused of doing something that you did not do? Not by outsiders, but by people you feel should trust you and in matters so sensitive like this. It is emotionally devastating. Even if you are proven innocent, you will never feel the same towards your accusers again. Conscience is not mob justice, and if we have it, it should also tell us that there is something wrong about immediately accusing a wife of conspiring to kill her husband which is the basis for the accusation that her son is a bastard. People are looking for motives. For someone who could be truly grieving to be dragged and accused in the public like this just remind me of widows who have been maliciously attacked by their husbands families. I am sure those people will claim conscience too as a cover for their actions. |

Even though I'm a born again Christian, I hope those lamenting about the accidental bombings by the Nigerian Army can finally get a feel of what the Palestinians are suffering from constant Israeli bombardments. Some Nigerians with mental problems are supporting isreali brutality in Gaza just because of their hatred for people of other faiths. Our lord and savior Jesus christ admonished we Christians to love our neighbors as ourselves but the present generation of Christians are a disgrace to Christianity. How can a sane mind support the bombing of Innocent women and children just because of a few renegades amongst them? May God continue to guide and protect the Palestinians against the evil of Israel. Amen
