"Pity. Cuz I just got promoted and I got this new blackberry porshe for you and was planning to send you cash for that thing you asked me about." She: lol. I got you there. Didn't I? I just wanted to see your reaction. Me: I got you too there. Hoeloshi! Ewu! Goat! |
People say put on your thinking cap. Me always say sit on a thinking seat :-) |

*sigh deeply* All those foolish government-sponsored history books didn't say a thing about this thick maze of conspiracies and counter conspiracies... |
Prinzecharlez: African mentality hmm i dont beleive in d hamitic theory but i practice dis"emancipate urselves 4rm mental slavery none but ourselves can free our mind,hv no fear 4 ..."lucky dubeI thought that was Bob Marley? ![]() |
k00lxpert: guy u re nt Normal, u need urgent help...seun pls take this guy out of here...he is a sex tycoon*Tycoon*? * Hands you book 'Dictionary of Diseased English* |
Bollocks! Nonsense! Garbage! Chickensh!t! See @OP It's not anybody's job to pursue anybody. Only men who are jerks or have been deprived unconditional love in their lives despise women who open up first. Mind you, not every guy that 'pursues' you will eventually cherish you. You might make him suffer and work so hard but he'll keep at it feeding your bloated ego until finally you accept and then he takes it all out on you. You then come on Nairaland lamenting that he is no longer the person you fell in love with. Me if I like you and I tell you and show you but you play hard to get, want to make me 'pursue' you like stone age man...mschew. Good riddance be that! |
Mschew. Topic should have read: Dine with Ini Edo or One Million Naira. I know what my pick would have been. |
Yes the issue isn't the food. Even if it was salty, I know husbands who married wives whom they discovered couldn't cook. They didn't send them back to their mothers to learn as is norm, neither did they start flinging plates. They taught their wives how to cook! Talk to your husband, find out what the problem really is. If he still keeps up the fit, seek help religious, professional...bring parents into it, --that's of course if both parents are cooperative-- and that is a last resort. Hopefully he'll start flinging kisses instead. |
@OP. Only you can make that decision yourself. You have to consider if further education at your age is a good or bad investment or if it's even an investment at all. Will a Masters give you an upward push in your career or are you just looking to add more paper to a job-seeking CV? If the latter is the case, you might want to consider business or financial investment instead. A car? You should already have a car by now. Yes a car is a necessity but it's also a liability. If you don't have a stable paying job, you might be serving that car instead of it serving you. Marriage? Yes marriage is good but it's a dang money-gulping venture esp since you're a man. Please OP the population of Nigeria is 160 or so million. It makes no sense to add to the number of the 140m living on < $1. Don't eat hot food in haste and scald your tongue making yourself unable to eat it even when it cools. Consider your own peculiarities and make your decision regardless of whatever expectation Family, friends or society have of you. |
True2myself24: You're 33 and you dont have a carSo what? You can be 40 and not have a phone? |
Who still sends sms's in 2013? |
I personally don't like religion much. It's the reason the Medieval Church killed and witchhunted 'heretics', The same reason Ottomans swept through Africa Quran and sword in hand, The reason Al Qaeda exists, part of the underlying causes of India-pakistan crisis, Israel-Palestine Crisis...Boko Haram justifies its killings with religious babble, People part ways with their life earnings after been coaxed and hoaxed by glib jet-flying pastors... I could go on and on. Wish it didn't exist. But it does. But in all I find Christianity a more liberal, progressive and rational religion than Islam. In this world and time, you only mostly hear about Islamic extremists, Muslim fanatics- somehow some way violence and intolerance is either championed or acquiesced by the religion. The 'sincere' religion-of-peace propangandists are naive, just not well versed yet and hence deny what the erudite sheik or imam or whatever believes: A non-muslim is an infidel to be coerced or cancelled. |
Amusaopeyemi: I am single |
Amusaopeyemi: I am singleso am I ![]() |
Being single doesn't necessarily mean you're searching. It means you're independent, untethered and primarily committed to improving your own self-worth. It is that way of life that is characterized with freedom, indulgence and reckless abandon. Single-hood is therefore to be enjoyed as there'll come a time when you'll miss being single. Single-hood is a phase of life and my way of life. #single and proud. |
@OP. you want a marriage or you're considering making a life-long career out of baby-sitting? That girl, you can father her you know? In fact, where are these child protection ppl when you need them? |
egbe4real: Just got satisfied by my finance yesterday, the best so far, i love u stev!love you too Adam ![]() |
PS: In fact, for pros, it's almost telepathic. Even an appropriate come-hither look in the right environment can do magic words won't produce |
It's not really about what you say, if she likes you enough to want you to lay her, then you don't have to bother about these |
Nickydrake: And of course there's Green Day.been in one of their shows sometime ago. They do gospel rock and are quite good. Theyre from the north so explain why they arent exactly ubiquitous. |
I like the Beatles a lot.
How did i forget to mention em as well. Theyre a class of their own...and Fleetwood Mac, reminds me. Anybody know em? |
I breathe, eat, live rock all day all night. It's that genre of music that really always brings a message. You can sing the popular genres without actually coming across sensibly. A hiphop or rap artiste can just string together a few expletives and invectives, or talk abt money or casual sex...but rock? You can do rock without a message! Coldplay intoxicates me--'message', 'speed of sound', viva la vida, swallowed in sea, yellow, paradise, fix you...in fact, which is not to like? 3 doors down-- away from the sun, here without you, here without you Hoostabank's The Reason Lovely Kelly Clarkson. Everything she's ever sung...'break away' my fav lovely avril lavinge...everything she's ever sung...'complicated' my fav Gavin deGraw-- my fav 'i don't wanna be' Keane--my fav 'somewhere only we know' Pink, Evanescence, Adam Lambert, Jonas Brothers, good old Linkin Park, jojo The Fray: love this band plenty etc etc More recently, plain white Ts, Train, The Script, One Directions, Colbie Calliat--everything by this damsel...that's as much as can type. |
LastApostle: Grammar does not pay the bills rather it makes you jobless staying on nairaland doing the unimaginable. Get the message and stop being a territorial nuisanceit does actually. Grammar does pay bills...and what is unimaginable here? Your corny love letter or my criticism? Territorial nuisance? I laugh in Chinese. |
What me noticed sha are your mild gbagauns: I encounter you.... ashaky feet... you don't...segregates... yougoes... The above gbagz are excusable considering how especially nagging the 's' factor can be... But the inexcusable one is, 'i can respond espectively...stay connected...fruitfully' You respond after her you mean-- or with respect--so in the end you can put a bun in her oven? ![]() |
A day or two ago, I was travelling on a bus and gingerly eating gala. I wanted to throw the wrap into the road but then i remembered i wasn't supposed to do so. Just then d N5 i was holding 2geda with d wrap fell and i thought, good riddance! The wrap was probably worth more than the note. I also thought abt it: it probably costs more than N5 to print a N5 ( it might not be news but i doubt Prof Abracadabra Sanusi knows). Even the other 'lesser' denominations are no better. I sometimes feel they're not worth the space they occupy. So i want to ask, has sb else noticed this, or what dyou think? (im asking ppl who at least still demand change when they buy a razor with a thousand naira note) |
kulyie: when women say the truth u get defensive by insulting her to make yourselves feel better, let me ask u a question,i know you will never admit it,but from facts all over nairaland, its true.why do u want to be friends with a girl? Date her, when you date her, what are your intentions, have s#x with her,and if it is marriage, why do u marry? Am sure all of u will be quick to say children, love, companion, friendship and all your lies, but d undiluted truth is that the most important reason at d back of your minds which you dont want to admit is S E X. its all about the three letter word.u act like u cant live without iti wanted to read through and just keep my cool but i felt compelled to correct your misconception. They are loads and tons of guys who don't give a flying fuqq about sex. I've met guys who prefer to just sit around with their video game, or attend church or play sports, rather than make time for girls! You female folk yourselves tend to view them as queer eccentrics. And what's wrong if we want sex alongside the love, companionship and whatnot? I thought that was the idea... |
Boys ll be boys... Girls will be girls. Economy's bad and girls are in d equation(notice i said 'boys/girls'). Advice to guys is, except yu have substantial cash to throw around, never attempt to impress girls by flaunting ur 'wealth'. You might forever be struggling in vain to keep up that image. Finally, i think like attracts like. You should ask yourself what d girl brings to d table aside from good looks and appearances--it's a relationship not a charity org--(unless of course you only want d icing on d cake), nd 'chopping your money'. (songs like dat add to d problem) |
pendo89: This is disgusting. |
I would say English mostly. My complex thought processes are in English as against my native Yoruba. I think this is due to influences from books, media: radio, films, music etc. Moreover local languages are inadequate in certain respects; i cannot possibly think ofthe internet in my local language, or computer programming or taxonomy. There are simply no words to describe them and even if i try a literal translation, d effort and process is so complicated that its not worth it. However there are certain expressions nd thoughts that English can't project. So then my Yoruba comes handy. |
She insisted on fb because she's a serial killer and she wants to use d modus operandi of Cynthia's killers...send you a few nude pics via Facebook, get you thinking with testosterone, thereafter invite you to a hotel to seal your coital transaction. Soon as you're all dressed in your birthday suit in d room, give you some sedative laden champagne and when you're in deep sleep, cut off your manliness! Uhm ... nd bite your butt.ocks after that. She'll then sell it 4 N1500( sorry but that's d market price)!! ![]() |
