fmarshal:Are you the impostor? I registered F_Marshal here on: Time registered: February 06, 2008 and you came along with "fmarshal"...Time registered: May 04, 2009? SEUN, FIX THIS PLEASE! |
Seun, I have tried to reach you via your emails, your Moderators and the open forum without much luck. I hope I hit the jackpot this time! I tried to log into my Nairaland.com account a couple of days ago, and I couldn't. As I was sure of my username and password, I tried repeatedly, but failed. So I decided to try the "forgot password' option. I entered my email address and checked my email for a link to reset my password. Guess what, I saw? The username associated with my login is now "FMarshal2" instead of "F_Marshal". Why FMarshal2 and not FMarshal? What happened to my original "F_Marshal" username? Why was it charged to "FMarshal2"? Who changed it and when was it done? It should be noted that I have NEVER requested a username change ever before. I want my Original username F_Marshal restored. I hope this was not a HACK! I need answers... |
I see there is still no option for private messages on this forum after all these years. I can't seem to find the webmaster's email address anywhere here. |

Found this somewhere, and thought I should share this with FTA enthusiasts on this forum: Company NovSatelt, specializing in optimizing bandwidth satellite links, announced the development of innovative technology modulating - NS3, designed to optimize the resources of satellite transponders earlier this year, Compared to currently broadcasting standards DVB-S and DVB-S2, the new standard allows you to increase the throughput ability of satellite channels in 20-55% of the transponder with a bandwidth of 36 MHz and 78% at 72 MHz transponders, providing high-speed data transfer up to 358 Mbit / s. Technicians NovelSat reported completion of the pre-testing of the new standard with power satellites Eutelsat W3A , AsiaSat 5, Amos-3, as well as some of the spacecraft constellation Intelsat. Test results confirmed that the new standard NS3 far exceeded the capacity DVB-S2, which is now considered to be the best solution in the field of satellite broadcasting. NS3 also a huge plus is that it is fully compatible with previous standards DVB-S and DVB-S2, enabling operators to perform a smooth transition to the new technology. NS3 is also able to provide the following benefits: transfer of a large number of SD-, HD-and 3D-channels, and as data transmission through the communication line and transponders that are identical to today's energy balance. Saving reception quality at lower SNR (signal / noise ratio), which, in turn, allows the use of a receiving antenna with a smaller diameter. Expansion of satellite coverage. According to preliminary information, the completion of a cycle of testing involving 32 broadcasters and teleports located in Europe and the U.S., DVB-S-3 is now in use on several satellites in Europe,America's & Asia as stated in the reports your normal HD receiver will be able to receive these new broadcasts but not the 16APSK & 32APSK versions for these you will need a professional receiver until someone incorporates all the new satellite transmission types in a enthusiasts receiver to find all the transmissions now in general use by SNG's. VillageBoi:V-Boi, I thank you too! I just can't standby and watch the good name and reputation of a good man being dragged through the proverbial mud without me saying anything. |
My Naijarules.com experience has been and continues to be a very pleasant and wonderful one. Sola, has high moral/social integrity, and has earned my respect. Anyone, body or persons speaking of him in such a scandalous manner in my opinion needs his/her head examined. |
As an Igbo man I find this thread extremely repulsive. This is wrong and uncalled for. Stop sowing division. We already have a board here that deals with FTA for all Nigerians. ![]() |
Happy New Year Guys! Good to know that you're all still representing FTA! ![]() |

fta4life:I own the DVB-S2 CA USB 2104D DVBWorld FTA Satellite Receiver which is NO. 5 on THIS Page. I also bought mine from Sadoun. They are good people. I haven't set mine up yet due to lack of time, but the reviews regarding the equipment have been very positive. They say the blind scan is very fast and thorough, using the latest firmware upgrade from DVBworld's website ![]() |

Lyngsat Foot Print Information here!!! |
This is a Copy & Paste from another site regarding Lyngsat Foot Prints. The original Poster is SatStarNet the operators of LYNGSAT. I hope this helps those not very happy with the new Lyngsat format.
Hi, A bit of good news for all you who misses the old Lyngsat footprint maps! They are not gone just moved to our new site that are now operated independently: http://www.satstar.net However our new site is not just a collection of footprint images, it’s now a searchable database where you can use the new BeamFinder tool and get answers to questions like: "Which satellite beams can I receive at my location with my current equipment?", "How do I aim my satellite dish to receive a specific satellite beam?" and "What dish size do I need to receive a specific satellite beam?". Please try it out; we appreciate any comments or suggestions! (We have pretty much covered the FTA-birds and will soon begin to make footprints for the US PayTV-birds from the FCC gtx-files)
|

Magnetic Declination Tool: This is an excellent tool to help you determine your Magnetic Declination in your area. I hope this helps. Click here or the url below. http://www.magnetic-declination.com/ |
Happy New Year Guys!! May the new year bring more Satellite Signal finds!! ![]() |
olatufu:The answer to your question is a Yes & No! It is true that you can receive the strongest transponders on a C-Band satellite using a 90cm to 120cm (Mini-BUD), but the weak transponders will not be able to come in. The truth is that this kind of setup is for experimental pet project purposes, but will not fulfill the need to get a bigger dish to receive all C-band signals. So, if your looking to use the 90CM as a replacement for the 1.8m and above size BUDs, you'll be disappointed, but if you're just experimenting and having fun, you'll be pleasantly happy with your results. I had earlier posted my summer C-Band Mini-BUD project here on page 30. BTW, guys! Happy Christmas and a Better New Year! ![]() |
