Guys, no one will give you any money until they see what you got going on. in 2011 when I finished my reach and documented my result, A friend who was a well known TV broadcaster in those day, If I mention his name most of you here on the thread will know him. he gave me a contact to a bank to loans money, So I reworked my project to N3 million took my file and visited the contact at the bank, after waisting my time, the guy told us that they can not load to start ups, that I should go and start my farm and after 6 month to one year i should come back and if I need money for expansion that they might be able to load me the money.
So all this advertisement to load people money is a fraud. I thank God that I am now in a position to go into this business without borrowing money from anyone, and even if I need to expand, i will go at my own paste and not have some bank come and eat up all the profit with interest, charges, and fees.
So guys, sown ads like this, because you will only end up losing you N1999 as advertised above. If you have a small space and ever with a very small budget as small as N50k, you can start with about 20 birds, raise them to 2.5kg and sell them to neighbors at premium price and turn around and reinvest that money and increase the number of birds, and before you know it, you can be making profit that could be broken down to making about N40, to N50k/month which could be the salary of some graduates in this economy.

jites: Nice one fnk, is the location of your poultry farm out of residential area and do you have to get planning permission specially saying you can construct a poultry.
The reason i am asking this is i recently acquired a land outside the town to build a poultry on but recently a lot of people have been buying land around me and building residential houses which may cause problem later on. My poultry isnt on a large scale yet hoping for like 1000 birds but land are just so scare that even if i buy a land in the sea or evil forest in no time people will start buying and building residential houses there and there are no land specifically allocated for farm building.
Any thought or advise fromthe house?
You are right, we have a population explosion in this country and mostly here in Lagos. But that said, along Lekki ajah road right after the 2nd toll gate, to your right is a poultry right next to Olorunisola estate. (Olorunisola is Eliganza) this guy is a powerful person in Lagos and I have always wondered why the owner poultry is still in business. Any ways, we make some contact with the local government in the area and them baales etc. My take is that I want to be successful in this venture that when the pressure to relocate comes in the next 3 to 5 years, i will be able to move knowing that I have gotten my money'e worth of the land were I am now. Another thing, If you are the big boy in town, most times you call the shots.

So I think the focus should be how do you take this opportunity to the level that no any other business makes sense.

Guys I have emailed it to you. You can breakdown the numbers and multiple by the number of birds you want to raise. Remember there is always the economic escale from raising larger quantity. Also, I ran this research couple years ago, so some numbers has changed, So you need to adjust accordingly.

Good luck guys.

From my past experiences in life, such obsession that I am having now comes from my spiritual self rather than just mental self. I hereby declare that I am in and in for good.

But the name BARAJE doesn't that mean something in Yoruba language. This split move would have been good if it was being spearheaded by the youth say between the ages of 18 to 40 years. With a clear intention to take the politics from the old and corrupt to a younger generation. And mobilize across party line inviting every young Nigerian to join in and change the leadership land scape of Nigeria come 2015.

But we all know what is going on that it has nothing to do with you and me in terms of favoring us for our good.

Meanwhile, what options do I have if I am not able to be there physically all the time because of my present job demands.

Please advise.
Your biggest assets in Nigeria are TRUSTED persons, until you find one, you better plan on staying pretty close to your farm. And these trusted people are not necessarily your family members, note that.

PoliticsNigeria Is Jinxed, Cursed Says Former President Obasanjo-premium TIMES by fnk(op): 1:17am On Aug 14, 2013
By Jide Jegede

While reviewing Nigeria’s history since independence, former President Olusegun Obasanjo said the country may have been cursed with poor and irresponsible leaders.

Mr. Obasanjo, who gave the keynote address at the 4th Annual Ibadan Sustainable Development Summit organised by Centre for Sustainable Development, University of Ibadan, in collaboration with African Sustainable Development Network, on Tuesday, said if Nigerians were yet to commend a leader after 53 years of independence, “Then we are jinxed and cursed; we should all go to hell.”

He also condemned the younger generation of leaders in the country, saying they lack integrity and probity and have failed their people woefully.

Making specific reference to his Vice President for eight years, Atiku Abubakar; former governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu; former Speaker, House of Representatives, Salisu Buhari; former Bayelsa State Governor, Deprieye Alamieyeseigha; and others as younger generation of leaders, the former President said Nigeria was not lucky even with them.

“We had some people who were under 50years in leadership positions. One of them was James Ibori, where is he today? One of them was Alamieyeseigha, where is he today? Lucky Igbinedion, where is he today?

“The youngest was the Speaker, (Salisu) Buhari; you can still recall what happened to him. You said Bola Tinubu is your master. What Buhari did was not anything worse than what Bola Tinubu did.

“We got them impeached. But in this part of the world some people covered up the other man. The man claimed he went to Government College, Ibadan but the governor (Oyo State) went to Government College and packed all the documents so that they would not know that he did not go there.

“I wanted someone who would succeed me so I took Atiku. Within a year, I started seeing the type of man Atiku is. And you want me to get him there?

“I once went to Tanzania because Julius Nyerere recognised Biafra. He told me not to mind his aides and others in government. They would say they have one house in town but their five year old sons and daughters would have houses all over.

“Some of you who are condemning the leadership would get there tomorrow and it will be a different story. Only very few are actually good.

“Abacha, my predecessor got $750m. Through our lawyer in Switzerland we recovered $1.25bn and the lawyer still said there is probably still another $1bn to be recovered. In 1979 we had 20 new ships specially built for Nigeria. When I came back 20 years after, the national shipping line had liquidated.

“The whole thing is not just about leadership. If we talk about good leadership you should also talk about good followers. If you talk about human right you should also talk about human duties and obligations.

“It is sad that after 53years of independence we have no leader that we can commend. The problem in Africa is that when one person takes over he would not see any good thing that his predecessor did. Let us condemn but with caution,” the former military ruler and two-term democractically elected president said.

The Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Isaac Adewole said he was worried about the fate that could befall the country as she holds her general elections in 2015.

“We have not raised question about the scenario where 35 people found it difficult to conduct credible election in this country,” the don said in reference to the election of the Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum that has polarized Nigeria’s 36 state governors.

holuwarlay08: they should leave everything for God to do is judgment
LOL!!!!! I was just discussing with my mother-inlaw yesterday that what is killing us in Nigeria today is that we live everything in the hand of God. Until we realize that God will not fight the fight that we can fight for us, that is when things will start to change. I can just see these people in power, who knows how the mindset of a Nigeria say to themselves, " don't worry about it, nothing will happen, they will result to handing it over to God to help them" And they will laugh, and lo and behold, that is exactly what will happen, So who say that corruption , miss rule and fund miss management will end any time soon, Think again.

funnyfun: For Lagos to become d mega city we all dream of, things like this shd be eradicated. Even if u've not bn 2 any of dis advanced countries, @ least u see them on d TV. Do u eva see things like dis in these countries? Ride on jare, Fashola.
Guys, yes, it will be good for people not to spread their cloths outside, and it is true you don't see that in advanced countires as stated above. But the issue is how many people have wash and dryer machine in their homes or apartments? In the advanced countries, apartments comes with this amenities, so you can do your laundry and time evn in the midnight.

If we have stable light, and disposable income, people will be able buy this machines in their homes to do their launderies. So the big issue here is stable electricity.
