FarmTech:I can tell you right now that I think there are a lot of things, solutions that can act like that, I just think that we have all followed the crowd in most cases. And example here is that I remember in some pages back, where everyone coming on board as only interested in POL because that was threading, everyone seems to just want to start making money right away without learning the industry or at least understanding some of the processes of poultry farming. So we jump in in the middle without even thinking outside the box. When I lived in Uruguay, where we had our first poultry farm, and this is where the idea of; if you can clean the water that these birds drink very well and also keep the water in a state that bacteria cannot survive in it, you can grown healthy birds without synthetic medication. Now guys, this idea is unconventional, but it works. We had a water treatment company with our key product from Brazil, it was a physical catalyst, the apparatus is connected to the water line, and as the water hits the cells in this apparatus, a change occurs in the molecular structure of the water, leaving it in a diamagnetic state, and when water is in a diamagnet state, bacteria can not survive in it, and bunch of other benefit to the water and its containers, i.e, pipes, tanks etc. So, using this treatment system in our poultry, we noticed that birds grow better and was healthier, they eat more and the morality was less, and we used less drops. I know some of us are almost in a race against ourselves to make it big, but if you take time to look into these questions " How else? What else?" I promise you, you will find your own system, a system that works. Warning: I am not saying to drop everything you are doing to pursue this alternatives, just a small lab in your farm and experiment. |
mercylicious:You are funny, but I like that. But I am not as mean as the U.S though, those that has come to me, I do give them some of the solution. I just don't want to put it up for sale, because also, I don't want the whale of dealing with people saying one thing and another. |
mercylicious:If you notice, I never claimed that I invented it, it is a mixture, I just gave it that name. And as I said, it is out there, and anyone can come up with his or her own formula and some people here has mentioned some other things that can also be used. Be it known to you that I also import Moringa from the U.S to Nigeria, the company is called Zija International, I am also the master importer for Tahiti Noni (the health supplement glass bottle Juice) Check it out in the pharmaceutical stores near you and look up on the bottle the importers name, Yes that is me. I am also working with a company that is called FG Xpress, with a product called Power strip, So there is a lot you can see out there, So put some of all these products together, Walaa!!! Who knows you can get V-mix. Lol!!! Now, to be serious though, it is not like I am hiding the v-mix, there are just some info you just don't drop out there, until you get a good handle of it yourself. I give as much info as I think it is necessary. You need to come and try my chicken, and you will appreciate what I am doing. And by the way, my fat burner really works, it is a private label I did in 2010. |
tmoney4real1979:Hello, Please I need the water system for watering the birds using nipple system. |
agonbello:If you come to my farm you will notice the effect of the v-mix, I have some birds that are about 5kg and they look super healthy. The only medications that that we give to our birds are the Day 1------I.O when we bring them in, Day 1 -----Glucose/vitamin because of stress Day 2-4----Antibiotic/vitamin Day 5-------Gomboro Day 6 till slaughter (8 weeks and above)------V-mix If you see on this thread, you will notice a list medications and vaccines that you can't even pronounce their names that farmers give to their birds till slaughter, we don't have to do that or worry about it. Now the positive effect of this is that the taste of our bird is different, almost like local or free range chicken because their system was not laden with made cations and antibiotics. So we end up raising a healthy bird. I have been told that it takes about 15 days for the medications given to the birds to go through and out of their system, so, if you feed your birds with all these medications till they go to slaughter, your customers are not only eating the chicken but also they medications which is still in their body. And that is why conventionally raise birds taste bad. And worst when it is imported birds which are preserved with formalin (corps embalming solution) Read------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Due to the importance of fish and meat in every home, hardly does a day go by without either of the two being served as part of meals in many homes in the country. However, many Nigerians could be eating fish or meat that is deleterious to their health without any knowledge of this, reports SADE OGUNTOLA. WHETHER it is bought at the open market or from a store, the quality before purchase and after it is prepared for consumption is essential to building the body and maintaining good health. Little wonder Mrs Halima Adenuga was concerned about a news report that alerted Nigerian to the dangers of eating some frozen foods. The Federal Department of Fisheries (FDF), under the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, destroyed about 95.86 metric tonnes of rotten fish with the market value of N37 million in the premises of Premium Foods Limited and Bexolac Seafoods Limited in Lagos early this year. Several times, individuals have expressed concern on the quality of meat and fish available for sale in many markets. This is not exempting frozen chicken and turkey, most of which are imported, that many see as an alternative to beef. Sunday Tribune learnt that most of the frozen chicken and turkey imported into the country were not good for consumption due to the chemicals used in preserving them, while most of them spent days in transit, thus making them to lose their nutritional value. While speaking with Sunday Tribune, Mr Elijah Tomori, revealed that his hatred for frozen chickens arose from the dangerous chemicals used for their preservation. The chemicals, such as formalin, he disclosed, were carcinogenic. “I have my reservations for consuming frozen chicken sold in many outlets, because they are preserved with formalin. This is why I stopped my wife from buying or cooking it at home.” According to a fish seller at Bodija market in Ibadan, Alhaja Hadijat Aduke, some of the fish she and other fish sellers bought from different cold rooms in Ibadan metropolis are unfit for consumption, adding that they often reject and return such fish to the cold rooms. “You would notice a change in their colour, while some of them would give off offensive odour. Even when you cut some with knife, you would notice that that they have expired and not good for consumption,” she said. A veterinarian at the University of Ibadan, Dr Olayinka Ishola, confirmed that many of the fish or meat sold in markets across the country was actually unfit for consumption. According to him, the knowledge of this has made him to stop buying fish from open markets. “What I observe these days is that there seems to be a higher concentration of formalin in fish and frozen chicken sold in the market. This chemical is used to preserve fish or frozen chicken and turkey. “If I open my freezer for you, you would think I have stored cadavers. It usually smells of formalin; it is possible that higher concentrations of formalin are added, because importers of fish or cold room owners cannot guarantee constant electricity supply,” said Dr Ishola. The veterinary doctor questioned the suitability of formalin as a preservative agent for fish, saying its effect on human health was grave. “The concentration of formalin they are adding is getting higher, but formalin has its health implications, because consuming it indirectly is like we are killing ourselves subtly. Formalin is used on dead tissues and we are taking it in gradually. It can eventually cause ulcer because it will be eroding the lining of the intestines,” he explained. Identifying wholesome fish When asked what could make fish wholesome and fit for consumption, Dr Olufemi Adedeji, a senior lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine, University of Ibadan, said certain qualities had to be looked out for before determining whether the fish is good or bad. “To identify fresh fish, the body must be shining and glistering. Its eyes must not be glistening or sunken. When the covering of the gills is lifted, the gills would be shiny and reddish. If it is already turning brownish, it means the fish is stale. The body of a fresh fish is slimy, but if it is not properly stored, it would turn greenish. “Of course, when the fish is fresh and fit for consumption, its body, on touch, would be smooth. A sandy feel at touch tells that the fish is stale and not properly preserved. Also, it is expected that the fish will not have foul odour and that its scales would not have started to peel off on its own,” he added. Dr Adedeji who said fish hygiene was very important for it to retain its wholeness, disclosed that oftentimes, most outlets that sold frozen fish did not store and preserve them appropriately. “The erratic electricity supply is a big problem and because most cold rooms are run by generators, this has increased the overhead cost of this business. And so they try to cut corners by not maintaining the cold chain. “A cold room temperature should be below -20 degrees centigrade for the stored fish to maintain its quality. With every increase in the temperature of the cold room, there is an increase in the spoilage organisms. “Spoilage could take place from outside or within the fish. Its intestines contain some of these organisms that will also increase the risk of spoilage. If the appropriate temperature is not maintained, there is no assurance of their quality because of the proliferation of spoilage organisms,” Dr Adedeji added. According to him, though poor stored fish and sea food is inimical to health, since they could cause many health problems, including food poisoning, Dr Adedeji noted that the option of preserving fish with formalin was bad. “Formalin will destroy all the micro-organisms, but it is like embalmment and by the time you consume food items preserved with formalin, this, over time, could trigger some pathway that can lead to cancer. Formalin is carcinogenic; as such its use should be discouraged,” he stated. The don urged government to monitor and control the activities of operators in fish industry, especially cold rooms operators, saying, “Samples need to be collected at random and analysed for whatever chemicals they may contain.” He warned that this was important, because studies had shown that many imported sea foods, including shrimps, lobsters and fish were always contaminated with antibiotics in the process of preserving them. “The screening of many sea foods in Ibadan found that they contain a lot of antibiotic residues and normally antibiotics are not supposed to be in them. They contained between 60 and 70 per cent broad spectrum antibiotics, which could have been added also as preservatives. “The danger in this is that over time, its consumption contributes to antibiotic resistance. For humans, this is dangerous because when the need for the use of these antibiotics arises, they will not be effective.” Buying live fish When asked whether live fish could serve as an alternative to the consumption of dead ones, the don said this also had its own challenge. “In most fish ponds, whenever there is an outbreak of disease and a veterinarian commences treatment, some sellers after some days, because of the fear of loss, would crop the fish and push them into the market for sale. Those unable to do this, if they have icing facility, do so and sell it as iced fish.” Poor implementation of meat/fish laws in Nigeria According to the Head of Department, Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine, University of Ibadan,Professor Gabriel Ogundipe, issues relating to meat and fish hygiene are caused by poor enforcement of fish and meat laws in the country. “For instance, ensuring that meat is fit for consumption starts from the slaughter slab till it gets to the table. The meat industry is not modernised; more than 95 per cent of our butchers are not educated and so it is difficult for them to adapt to new ways of abattoir maintenance – the way of preparing meat for consumers in a healthy way. So, the quality of meat coming to the market is already poor,” he stressed. Professor Ogundipe linked the sales of diseased cow lungs and other portions of cow with tuberculosis by meat sellers to their low knowledge on meat hygiene and safety. “Whether it is the slaughter of a sick cow or sales of diseased organs that they are asked not to sell, they cannot appreciate it. To convince you that there is no disease, they would even cut a portion of a lung infected with tuberculosis and eat it. They then ask if they had died. “If you tell them not to sell such a diseased organ, they would not agree, because they are not convinced that it is dangerous. They are also looking at it from the economic point of view. They have invested money in buying the animal; some even borrowed the money with the hope of making profit.” Another veterinarian, Dr Idowu Cadmus, also described the habit of selling leftover meat, which is stored in the freezer, as bad because the meat had started to deteriorate in its freshness and quality. Dr Cadmus said that individuals should consider fish/meat colour and texture before purchasing them, “essentially, when you see a bad meat, such may be greenish or blackish in colour; it is not light brownish in colour as normal meat. Also, it should not have any offensive odour and its tissue will be firm and not flabby on touch.” He said consuming leftover meat was dangerous, because it could lead to food poisoning and diarrhea, since it would have had plenty of microorganisms growing on it. |
Nwogbe:They were arrested and after a few days I let them go. I was happy that I was able to recover 217 bags of the feed (Top feed for that matter) They actually rented a shop, and tried to sell them back to us, one of the women they had spoken to to buy it from them alerted us. And one useless Ahlaji who rented them the shop answered our calls as the owner of the shop and trying to negotiate price with us. He was also arrested and he and the boys spent the Salah holidays in police custody. I didn't want to drag it further, I was happy to discover what was going on at night and on sundays at the farm and was able to recover that much of the feed. The Police wanted me to take them to court and lock them up for a long time, but I didn't want to go through the wahala, and I hope that they will repent and straighten their lives up. The hand that gives, they say, will always be on top. And my brother always say "The Lord will bless me more than the enemy can take away" And yes, this is the kind of things that can bring some's business down. They were just selling our chickens in the area, and no one said anything. couple days ago, one of the women in the area came to me and said that she heard what happened in the farm, that she noticed one of the boys carrying chicken to go sell to people in the area but she should tell me because she doesn't want any trouble, boa-bla-bla. The truth is that I am sure she too bought some chicken from the boys. Any ways, we have put in some measures now to help curb that. But I have known and was told that apart from bio-security, that theft from your workers and the other biggest challenge to this business. Some one related to me what happened as a poultry in Ogun State where he used to work, It was an egg farm, just layers, and it was a very big farm, they arrested bunch of their workers stealing eggs out of the farm everyday, so they put in some security measures to stop that, so they search everyone going in and out of the farm, what they noticed was that they didn't see anyone taking eggs ago, but they noticed that everyone comes to work with a colored water bottle, and one they day stopped some of them to check, guess what? Yap! They were breaking the eggs and poring the eggs into the water bottles, and they take it to go and sell to those guys (Malam) that sells fry eggs and tea on the road side. So guy, we are in for a long one. |
obnelly:I still here ooo, just trying to get things going, has not been easy. especially my workers stealing over 230 bags of feed from the farm and over 200 grown 2kg and above birds. It is crazy. |
praise4real:The V-mix is my own secret ooo, cannot share it now. But if you will put your mind to what you want to do, think outside the box, you will invent something that will help in your farm. |
cola: Hi fnk,Have we set up an appointment before and why didn't it happen? |
jamp: Maybe they had it before the changing of litter.Thank you. It went away and after couple weeks, it showed up again but we only lost 3 birds. All is well now though. Thank you again. |
this nano-silver has been around for a very long time, I even have the machine that makes the solution since 2010 and i have been making and using the solution for various ilness and I know that a strong PPM can kill the Ebola virus. The powers that bee in U.S has always kicked against it, because it will course bad market for them. When I saw that someone came up with the solution, I knew they will kick against it, don't be suprise that the active ingredient in the so called Zmapp is nano-silver. My machine can make 12 liters of the solution per process, If I was in the country I would have tried to contact any of these agencies that will listen. I hope that Chukwu and co, will go with their gut feeling and don't listen to the ney sayers. Lets try it, it will work. |
jamp: that means they had coccidiosisHow do they contact that? they were all doing well |
yemmit90: Did the dead birds shows any symptom of infection?I was told that they where pooping out blood. But they are okay now though after giving them dime medication. |
Tundeiab: Hello sir. I don't mind having your email. Mine is abiolatunde1@mail.comI tried to email you but it kept coming back. |
Has anyone experience mortality due to changing the saw-dust for the birds. I just lost 0ver 70 birds (over 1.3kg) and they suspected that an infection could have occurred due to the new saw-dust. |
obnelly: Concerning the odour coming from poultry facilities in the neighbourhood I have a proven technology that can solve that.I have done for couple of farmers and I have an experimental farm for people who may be interested to see and smell with their noses.I am still queuing up for this odor elimination system, though I am only focusing on broilers at the moment but I will like to also go into layers, but why I haven't done it is the odor palaver, I have enough space on my land to do layers, but my concern is that I don't want to be a nuisance to my neighbors, so with this system and if it works, I won't have to go buy another land in the boonies somewhere just to do layers. So I will get with you as time goes on to inspect experimental farm you talked about and we go from there. |
cmax16: Hey @fnk. Been following this thread with keen interest. Kindly help with the contact details of the person who can help build a processing plant. email is ailevbare@yahoo.com thumbs up!Sorry I have been super busy with other things that I haven't come here for a few days. Well my processing house is almost done just waiting to paint the place and get someone equipments to get it going. That said, I don't think it is a big deal to build a processing house o slaughter house, just make sure the inside is tiled (White) and you have good derange, because you will be using a lot of water in there. Now the important things about a processing house are the equipment you put there. i.e: your kill center, soaking center, de-feathering center, cut and dress table, chilling tubs, and weight & packaging/labeling center. Then you need storage i.e: cold room or freezers for temporary storage before shipping them out to your customers or your own retail centers. So, based of these centers, you can measure and build a room that can hold all these centers and you will be good to go. (don't freak out about all these centers I mentioned, they are not like huge spaces ooo) Good luck. |
OlamiB: Farmers in the house I want to know the cost of raising 170 broiler for 3months before I finally sell them off. The materials I will need and the space required. And how much will I get to sell each birds for Christmas after the allotted 3 months? Before I forget I will need the cost outline too. TnksThere are 62 pages on this thread, all your questions have been answered there. So, do your due diligence and go through the pages, you will learn more than just having someone here give you a line answer to your question. (between page 60-62) you will see the break down on some of the cost you seek for. My two cents! |
yemmit90: @fnk, valarinz and other Broilers farmers on this thread, our birds are 3weeks old today and over 1000 of them got the same life body weight as show in the picture.Yeahhhhh!!!!!, Happy for you |
tucurj: thanks V man,i really appreciate it,God will be with u.Thks man@tucurj, I hope you understand how @valarinz got you the info about your 50 birds capacity. Just take a look at his table or the explanation he gave above, and substitute the 500 bird capacity to your 50 bird capacity and you will get the numbers he gave you. remember the bags of feeds are packed in 25kg bags, so you divide to total kg you got when you add up the first 4 weeks kg feed consumption by 25kg, that will give you the number of bags that you will need for each feed type at the different stages of the birds to their market size or desired size. Understanding this will help you increase or decrease the number of birds and still know what number of bags of feeds that you will need. Hope this helps. |
Nbg4real: @ fnk hope u sell up ur birds ds festives or yet ready? Long time we din‘t hear from your bird‘s development.Happy new year, we had a lot of challenges, and I am currently not in the country, I fell sick and had to go back home in November, so my guys at the farm had challenges on what to do. They sold some though. I have high hopes for this opportunity and I will be back in the country by this weekend and I will make sure that things gets on the way to what I want to see happen. I have placed an order for the defearthering machine, when I get in, we will start building a slaughter house in the farm, my defearthering machine can defearther up to 14 birds per minute. This will help us take better advantage of our effort from day old to processed birds. So, will see how this year goes, but I am very hopeful. @nbg4real Thank you for your concern. |
I like this idea "doing laundry for your schoolmates and doing it very well by employing & adequately supervising the laundryman". I think it will take an entrepreneur spirit to do this, and it can work well if you put your mind to it. One thing about students on campus i think is that they want to look good, but might not have time to do their laundry and will pay if the service is good and the price is right. Your capital investment 1) buy an Iron 2) buy and ironing board 3) Soap Go across the street from your campus and contract a local resident (lady or a guy) negotiate the price of washing and ironing different cloths. with the agreed price, factor in your investment/profit. Remember don't be too greedy and also remember you are dealing with students like you. So your price have to be very conservative. With this end tightened, go from Dom to dom and talk to as many students as possible, offering your service. Don't forget throw in an incentive, i.e wash two shirts and get one trouser washed for free. (for limited time only). And your first, second and third client, seat with your laundryman and even help him or her through the process, what you are doing is creating trust and establishing quality standard. Now, incentives these your first set of clients that if they will tell people that you did their laundry, that of every 7 persons that comes to you as a referral from them, that they will get their next 2 shirts or something other cloths washed for free. People like free stuff, right there you are building a marketing force that will roll out on its own in no time. Then watch your business grow. What ever the case maybe, you need to be involved, roll up your sleeves and go to work. |
I think by this time in 2014 things will be more clear to everyone of us, we would have known the outcome of the national conference, if for sure GEJ will run in 2015 and what hell would have broken loose because of that, and how really strong APC would be, if at all. 2014 holds a big clue to the future of Nigeria. |
What hand writing on the wall do you see that Nigeria will break up by 2015 as predicted by U.S.A? The national conference is a sign of a big brouhaha to come, tough issue will be resource control, Personal, I think GEJ made a U-Turn on Nigeria project when he announced the need for the national conference, and if he succeeds, the south south people will see him as their masiah. What say you? |
secnelly: you love so much calculations. Dont forget nature can displace your assumptions. I dont mean to discourage you from aiming higher but always consider uncertainties.Totally agree with you, running the numbers is to give people an idea, with those info, you can guide your moves, understanding that there is always uncertainty in everything you do. I own other companies in the country, and I know the important of seeing the numbers and knowing the potential of what ever the venture is. |
valarinz: hi house,@Valarinz from experience I think the only way your idea is going to work is you giving the a very good space. if not, follow your Vet's advise and start small. The time will also help you develop sales outlet. There is nothing worse as far as I am concern than feeding birds pass their due week for sale. I think after 8 weeks of broiler in your pen, you will be losing money every day as long as they are still in your care feeding them. An experience that we had in our poultry trying to do what you are intending to do, was a lose of birds up to 90% mortality. and what we found out is that there are diseases attacking the birds at different stages of their life cycle. So you might be treating your day olds with vaccinations meant for day olds, but you have close in the farm 3 weeks old birds with a different disease present, while this disease will not kill your 3 weeks old, the vaccine you give to the day old cannot protect your day olds from that other diseases. So, start small and go from there. or you will need a vdry good spacing. |
Any sensible Nigerian will question APC claim as progressive. What is progressive if you carry almost all the same people that are supposedly from the bad party. At the end, Nigerian can see PDP as bring purged of the bad eggs. GEJ can actually turn the table on APC gang up. I am not a politician but I think there is a shift that GEJ might have proposed that didn't go down well with those who wantd the status quo. And if PDP can come out and say that they want to change and bring in youths into their cycle, and truly mean it, APC will now become the new and still curoupt PDP while PDP will become the truly progressive party. Because for things to change, some people needed to leave any ways and be replaced with others. PDP will get it right and turn the table if they will mobilize and replace all those that have moved with young and energetic younger politicians that we all can relate with and let them be the voice moving into 2015. |
[quote author=naijafresh]Dear Cross234, These questions are all answered in the preceding posts. But I will suggest that if you are really interested in poultry farming, do your homework and take the time to go through this thread. That way you will get a good idea of the ups and downs of the business and will pick up useful tips that will save you a lot of money and headache in the long run. The average length of time to maturity or sale depends on the breed and the hatcheries will give you an idea of the different breeds and their characteristics, visit a local hatchery near to your intended location. They will also give you information on the different types of feed available The market for eggs is good but i think the market for broilers is seasonal and can be tough, read through the thread and see for yourself and also research your local market Best wishes and Good luck @naijafresh I do not believe that the market for broilers is just seasonal or tough. If you are will to do the work, within 3 months you will not be able to meet the demand that you will get. I visited an eatry at Festac, and spoke with one of the managers who told me that their eateries in Lagos use up 1000 birds per day, and that they even started their own poultry farm and still couldn't certify their need so they still buy from people like you and me. Also there is a woman close to where my farm is located that sells frozen chicken in her shop. Visiting with her, she said that she sells 300 birds per day from her shop, and for about 1.5 to 2kg she sells for about N2,000. I know most of us here are mom and pop poultry farmer, that means that most of us probably don't produce up to 1000 birds per month. That said, imagine if you comb you area and find a customer that will buy or have the need for 300 birds per day, if you exclude Sundays that will total 7,800 birds per month, now go figure what your profit will be with just that one outlet. My marketing strategy is to visit small shops like this, visit bukas, mama fisi, restaurant and hotels, even if in the stretch of my area, I find up to twenty bukas, or mama fisi and small corner restaurants that will have the need for say 5 birds a day that will translate to 5x 20=100 birds per day. So with my only 500 broiler capacity, I can't even meet that demand. So guys, don't stop half way, go all the way.you will thank your God you did, it will give you the financial freedom that you have been hopping for. And you know the cool thing about this; is that you and I can sell our birds to the same customer and we will still struggle to meet their demand, because the demand is massive. Good luck and complements of the season to all. |

t2luv: You forget to tell the brother that the cost of living in Nigeria is higher that in the US. Trust me I know this to be true.@t2luv As I write this I am here in the U.S, I live in Houston, I came back from Nigeria about 3 weeks ago. I am not trying to down play the challenges one face living in Nigeria especially if you have lived overseas for a long time, take it from me, I left Nigeria in 1992, and the first time I came back was in 2006, a lot has changed when I came back, naively in 2009, I moved the whole family back to Nigeria, and we lived in VGC then, my business tanked and in 2011 we moved back to the U.S. I spent the next 1 year trying to get a job and could not get anything, but my heart was still back in Nigeria, I know if I can start back another business opportunity in Nigeria, that I could do better than I can ever do here in the U.S. So, I created a niche, got a contract from one company to be a master importer of their product into Nigeria, before you know it, another company called, So I came back to Nigeria to set up offices for these companies, Now I am working on our 5th company. They truth is that because the things that we consider as basic in the U.S, i.e electricity, good road, good housing etc are luxurious in Nigeria and if you have lived especially in the U.S for long, there is so much low that you can take, thus you have to pay for those amenities. So, my take is DO NOT just jump in the plane and say you want to relocate to Nigeria, it doesn't work that way, you have to think it out and plan it out. I can tell you now that a lot of the companies out here in the U.S, know that Africa is the next frontier, their challenge is finding a thrusted person to work with, If you can prove that, you will find a company that you can represent in Nigeria, you can piggy back ride with then to get into Nigeria and get yourself set up. You can make more money in Nigeria that you can make in the U.S if you know what you can doing. Here in the U.S people don't live the dream anymore, you chase the dream, you run around in a circle. If you have not been out here, you see the things that people have or even the constant electricity as WOW!, but there is that thing that we are all born with, to desire for good things, and when you have it, it becomes basic, because they are necessary, not a big deal. So, if you want to relocate to Nigeria, don't let those challenges stop you, prepare your mind that Nigeria is not America, put your shoulders to the wheel and push it along. It will be worth it. |
The first step back is always the hardest, but those who have done it will tell you to do it, and if you muster the courage and do it, eventually, you will thank God you did. You should first of all know that Nigeria will never be like the U.S. That doesn't mean that it could not be better, but for the time being, it will not. I am one of those who relocated to Nigeria, you can learn from the mistake that people like me made, and do better from day one than people like us did. But going back to Nigeria was the best thing I did and will advice anyone out there to do. I have a company that I set up in Nigeria now, my family is back in the U.S so I go back and forth and spend couple months or so each time, I have 12 people gainfully employed in my company, and we finance on U.S expenditure with our income from Nigeria.
