The guy will flop big time. The fans are not with him. There was no excitement within the Chelsea fan zone on his signing. I hope other players will support him or else, he would be racially and verbally abused. |
He may likely win the case against all odds. Some Nigerians may not even know who the managing director of their company is talk more of knowing the company's mission and vision statement. There is rule of law in UK even if it is against government. That's why government officials and institutions do not behave any how or else you would be sued. However, the UK law is equally over protective of immigration and border officials. The law protects them and their decisions if they felt that they have a strong conviction not to let a traveller in, even with a visa. |
They should continue sitting at home. I pity the poor petty traders and artisans that depends on daily pay. Sadly, some idiotic nairalanders will be here hailing this type of behavior. Seriously, the trust in government has gone abysmally low. People do not trust the government to protect them again. The fear of the deadly IPOB is the beginning of wisdom. |
Stupid set of people. Fighting for an imaginary nation and cheered by the most stupid set of supporters. See how they are destroying their region, thinking that they were fighting for Biafra. Rogues!!! All these terrorist have nothing at stake. They are just venting their anger and frustration on hard working people, and surprisingly, being cheered on by supposedly "learned" people. Keep doing yourself. Hatred and sentiments won't get the Igbos anything. |
SHM. Do these yahoo boys attend or attended the same training school?? You see them with same hairstyle, slippers, walking, stockings and behaviour. ![]() They are now many in my estate, living in rented apartments with their "wives". If you see Where they are shopping in the local supermarket in the estate, you go fear. 80% of that supermarket's customers are yahoo Boyz. One will spend 100k on a spot to fill a trolley with assorted items in the supermarket. I go just dey look |
visijo: ![]() I Swear, 99% wont have anything concrete to say. I just threw the question to my wife and she asked: " what is GDP"? |
Nigerians dream country ![]() Almost every Nigerian wants to japa to Canny |
EgunMogaji2:With these kind of beautiful burglaries, no casement window. Either you use sliding or double-hung windows (sliding vertically) |
I wished the parents of all these idiots could be arrested also. Stop bringing kids you have no means of training. Nigerians just dey born any how and that's why we have lots of untrained idiots. These idiots are now nuisance to the society. Parents should be held liable, jointly and severally with their kids in crime. |
There are many fake N1000 notes in circulation usually given to unsuspecting customers by POS agents. |
Na to use public transport pass there first to survey the road and the diversions. Do the same if you don't understand all these diversions. LASMA and some bad police men will station themselves, waiting for motorists to make mistake and take the wrong diversion, which may be one way. They will impound your car straight. Lagos is just a funny city. |
As a consultant, the last job I did for a client was in April. Since then, nothing concrete has come up. I have been reading up on other things and looking out for other gigs. Yes, the last pay has been sustaining me and family and I am waiting for any other one before end of the year. |
wunmi590:Good In this present circumstances in Nigeria and around the world, job comes before any higher education. If you have a moderate paying government job with Olevel, please continue with the job. Don't resign to go to University. People will always tell you that you will get a better job after graduation. Job market in Nigeria is now saturated. Hold on to the one you have please. We have someone in our family that joined Nigerian custom with Olevel in 2011. People asked him to resign to continue his education having secured admission to FUTO. He remained in custom and jettison the admission. The guy is far doing well, while some of his mates that went to University are still job hunting. He also concluded the so called B.Sc with National open university. If you have any serious job that is paying your bills, please stick to it. The high rate of unemployment among graduates is high now. I have 3 of them in my place and the 4th will soon join the queue. |
Nothing wey Abba Kyari no go see for Nigerian bloggers. |
This covid is going to be a disaster to the world for the next decade. The disruptions it would cause in years to come is better imagined. Imagine those vaccinated are still getting infected and are still being told to mask up. The mutating variants are giving the vaccine good run for their money, resisting the efficacy of the vaccine. |
Nigeria is heading for the worst Olympic games in decades. The only hopeful had just failed a drug test. Nigerian Olympic committee will use this one to taunt and finish her. She has been 'yabbing' and insulting the committee, accusing them of gross incompetence. |
Where una dey see tweeter tweet?? VPN or tweeting from abroad? |
Nawao. To be trained and upgraded from being a Bandit to being a Terrorist. Nigeria's security system seems seriously compromised. Why are they not catching all these bandits and terrorists? Imagine if these issues of banditry and terrorism is happening in the South. Government are not effective with these terrorists and bandits. |
Good one. The richest and most funded club in sub Saharan Africa. |
ugbanante:Yes, the key thing is to save up well while in paid employment and invest in other things before you go solo. It may not be easy initially as you will literally live on your previous employment savings. Money is not yet coming as I would have loved but I am quite hopeful. |
authority2006:Yeah, it has not being easy. I have done only 4 jobs for client since the beginning of the year. Total fee is still ok as it could still take care of my bill. I was lucky to have utilised my salary savings very well when I was till in paid employment, at least to get my own house. Nevertheless, the peace and comfort is priceless. I must tell you. I am just waiting in my house now, chilling to join a UN organised online training for intending consultants in the development and humanitarian sector. |
Tochukwu30:Yes, I haven't made the last gross emolument I earned in 2016 in my previous employment while working, but the savings from that employment enabled me to complete my own house, create an office within the house as I work from home using it as my business registered address. People even gossip within the estate that I "belong" to the G-guys with my laptop/ipad and thick beard. ![]() I am not rich but I don't beg for food. Just one gig from government or man-no-man, I know say my story go change. In all situations, my freedom, mental, emotional and physical well-being are paramount. |
When you have mastered a trade, skill or a specialist in certain field when I started my corporate work at 25, I told myself that I would have my own hustle by 40. The stress that investment banking work brought on me was too much. Waking up by 4:30am and coming back by 10pm. The rat race was simply too much and was taking so much on my mental and emotional well being, even though the pay package and other emoluments were good.It provided me with all the necessities of life and I was financially doing relatively ok. I registered my own consulting company by the side and was waiting when the side hustle could pay at least 50% of my total salary. That never came to pass as the Solo Consulting space itself is even competitive. Most jobs came through referral. I never got any consulting job based on submission of application. By 2016, I couldn't take it again and resigned to face my solo consulting. This is the fifth year and, I am yet to gross the annual salary I enjoyed when I was still working. Any regret? No. I have my peace, wake up at my own time, visit my parents and enjoy good moments with loved ones during the weekends without considering the impending coming Monday. I am on my bed typing this, reviewing a document sent to me by a client. My mental and physical health is top-notch and I have developed myself beyond my imagination. Money wise, I am still far from getting what my corporate employment paid but I am far happier now than when I was working in the bank. |
Wike is going for the PDP ticket and he is positioning to pick either Tambuwal or Kwakwanso as his running mate based on Southern Governors decision. Peter Obi has been very docile lately and he is not a political force. Amaechi or Osibanjo is taking that of APC and they are taking either Zulum as running mate. The decision of Southern governors stands. Atiku is just wasting his time. He should support the decision of the Southern Governors forum. |
Ever8090:Go to Apapa port and see the kind of things Nigerians are exporting. There was a time I saw truck load of Igbo dwarf he-goat to be exported to US. Some people are cashing out on some unknown export potentials. |
Baba is just there for his medical check-up. Forget this educational summit thing. Organise an educational summit in Nigeria and see whether he would attend. Nigerian politicians and leaders are always quick to attend international conferences and seminars but when the same seminars and conferences are organised in Nigeria, they won't attend. |
post=104131286:Physical and urban development means nothing to the poor. Nigerians are extremely poor and people are struggling to survive. For a poor man and struggling families, beautiful physical development means nothing to them. Let's focus on aggressive human capital and social systems development. A hungry man places no emphasis on decorum, decency and neatness. Where his next meal will come is his priority even if it means abusing the urban landscape of the city. I am not supporting the people building those shanties but the poverty level in this country has reached an elevated level. Please do well to inform the people in power as it seems you are closer to them. |
He worked under the old NEPA and not this current corporate thieves called Electricity Distribution Companies. What are they distributing?? Estimated bills and darkness. |
Nigerian Professors Shakes my head. What do they even research on?? Embezzlement, politics, hand outs and looting. To even publish a well written article in a learned journal is a problem. They hardly publish in high impact journals. |
Good one. That was how my wife and my brother's wife were looking at me and my brother cooked delicious jollof rice last chrismass one hot Saturday afternoon. It reminded us of our good old days when we prepared food together. There is that inner joy when grown up brothers once again come together to do something unusual. During the last xmas, we went as far as scrubbing the whole terrazo floor in our father's house in the village where we stayed during holidays. Brothers doing things together is lovely. |
