Hello OP, congratulations! This is one in the series of recruitment stages. Getting a place into any multinationals is never an easy thing and, once you are able to break in, you are in for a successful career. Have you had any interview or test with Citi? If yes, there is likelihood that you were successful in that very stage of their recruitment and the company is progressing with your application. However, if you have not had any interview or test and you got this message, it may just be a system generated email informing you of receipt of your application which has now been entered into their talent pool for possible consideration by the recruiting manager. Nevertheless, don't be overtly worked up or tensed. Recruitment by multinationals extends up to a year and the waiting time could be 'killing and tensed', especially if you don't have anything doing at the moment. I have been there before and so I am abreast of how their recruitment works. Engage yourself in other things and hope for the best and also expect the worst as well which in most cases is a rejection email at any of the recruitment stages. |
See them, salivating and masturbating over Tinubu. I don't support him and would not want people like him to near the seat of power again. But he remains the most visible contender for the post. You will be shocked how he would emerge if the position is zoned to the South. Tell me who else is contesting or has shown serious interest for the presidency in 2023? I don't like him but he is building a formidable alliance while those that don't want him are not building any alliance but waiting for the post to be given to them. Buhari may not know who will succeed him but he certainly knows those that will NEVER succeed him. |
I focus on other things that are of importance to me. My rejection email since I passed out from NYSC should be up to 300 The highest rejection mails received were between 2009 to 2012 while in UK as a masters student applying for jobs in UK. Professional jobs were many but I was getting rejection up and down till I borrowed myself sense and started applying for care giver job, security and farm worker. That was when I got called to start a care giver job and that was the only job I did in UK. Rejection emails for professional jobs and internship I applied should be up to 200 then. Not having the permanent right to work in UK was also a contributory factor while companies rejected me left, right, up and down ![]() |

Please, teach them how to be productive and use their skills effectively. I watched how Estonia government was teaching their youths skills expected of 21st century graduate and how to be more productive using tech. Estonia is one of the baltic states in EU with highly developed IT infrastructure. The birth place of skype. |
See them - Integrity, truthfulness , honesty . Yet, we are one of the most corrupt and dishonest country. Every Nigerian would tell you that he is honest and has integrity. No be Nigerians again. Just dangle small cash and all these people shouting integrity would loose their integrity. |
I have also been donating my widow's mite during church offerings for the University. The university is owned by the Catholic Arch diocese of Lagos. Every catholic church in Lagos takes offering every third Sunday of each month for the University. |
bigtt76:Airlines will not even like it. They like it the way it is as it saving them cost. They prefer the status quo. No inflight snack serving. |
I felt the same way when I was leaving in 2009 for masters program in UK. When I arrived, the place was so boring for me that I could not wait to return back to Nigeria. I stayed in UK for three years and when an opportunity came, through a job, for me to return back to Nigeria, I grabbed it and came back. Since then, I have developed apathy towards living abroad and the feeling of leaving great family and friends behind weighs me down when any thought of relocation crosses my mind. This has made me not to be bothered about any relocation and I have completely focused on carving a life for myself and family here in Nigeria. The only thing I did was to give my kids the opportunity of being born overseas. They have the so called foreign citizenship but they will remain with me here till they are off age to decide what suites them. Nigeria is bad, very bad but sometimes, certain things still makes me to still stay. This is my own submission and I am in no way advocating that people should stay. Make your decision based on your own peculiar circumstances. |
I hope her other team mates wont feel jealous and beef her because of her beauty as she may likely be the center of attraction from our randy officials. |
Basicend:You got it bro. Kanye has become so evangelical that he is now tilting towards full pastorship. His wife is not that kind of evangelical and religiously inclined and have told Kanye on many occasions but the dude is determined to be an ordained pastor. He has even enrolled in an evangelical school and so dedicated. This kind of thing happened to my former senior colleague who had a beautiful wife. The wife is a typical socialite as she owns exotic boutiquea. All of sudden, the man said he wanted to be a pastor and was dragging the wife into the religious circle against her will. It created serious marital issue and they had to temporary separate. |
There is nothing extra ordinary about Lagos IGR generation. The taxes are taken mostly from corporate workers, whose deductions are done at source. Companies are also complying but in other states of the federation, the economies are too informal and taxing informal businesses and sectors is extremely difficult. As long as Nigerian business sectors are largely informal, IGR will never go up. |
EgunMogaji2:At a very high cost. For retail users, it would be expensive to get solar that would power the whole appliances. I had to calculate my load usage to get the most cost effective solar set up. |
calcal:How does this relates to the topic? You should stop having these fantasies of an utopian nation. Your governors, whom you elected are not delivering basic infrastructure and you are not doing anything about it but waiting to have an imaginary country where everything will be an eldorado. Please, wake up. |
One4me:You should note that inverter/solar are not meant to replace grid totally. You are not using solar to power an AC or water heater. My solar or inverter are to power LED bulbs, fan, charge phones and laptops and provide you basic comforts at home. My deep freezers, ACS, and other high energy appliances are to be powered by grid or generator. |
I hope the president have the interest of all Nigerians at heart? I have always doubted his love for people that are not his immediate kinsmen. For him to have the boldness to confront Alhaji Lam Adesina, the former governor of Oyo State, asking him why his people were killing his people, the herders that were causing mayhem in Oyo during the Obasanjo time. A former president, descending so low to lead an ethnic group to a meeting to confront a sitting governor. How then will he be fair to all in this country. The president's nepotistic stand and leaning is fueling the insecurity in this country. He should be seen to be father to all but he is too divisive, both in words and action. |
I am not a supporter of violence but this Igboho guy is a determined fighter unlike the Albino in Uk, posting pictures of his expensive lifestyles online for his demented followers to masturbate on. |
Jasobry:And these wicked dealers within Badore axis are selling between 3700 to 3800 |
theForth:You are correct. Times ceramics.
|
Ever8090:What of the Albino in Uk? He is in UK enjoying himself, eating the best food, f*cking his wife all night and posting the pictures for his brainless supporters to masturbate on; cashing out big time from uninformed donors while his stupid followers are languishing in jail As someone said before, Sunday is a better leader. He is here to face any eventuality. He is not afraid of anything. Even Shekau was a good leader in his stupidity, staying in Sambisa with his followers till the very end. You guys should stop all these chest beating. It has not taking you any where. |
Mup4life:I think the floor is 2sqm, while the wall is 18sqm. Modify: I thought you meant measurement of the toilet areas. The tiles are goodwill or Royal products. I don't know the exact names except if I check the carton. But I saw them and picked them at Odun Ade market. The Nigerian tiles I bought were either Goodwill or Royal |
rmx:It was deliberate. |
henrymor:All Nigerian tiles are good. Just make proper enquiry. I was a pro Italian/Spanish tile before but the prices are on the high side and I needed to save money to do other things. I first bought a few Nigerian tiles to be used in the bathrooms and kitchen to see how it would look. The tiler has completed the visitors toilets with the Nigerian Goodwill tiles and I am now constrained to use Nigerian made tiles 100% for the whole areas of the building. Attached is the first work did by the tiler (visitors toilet) using Nigerian tiles and it turned out good the way I wanted. I earlier wanted to use white Spanish wall tiles and brown wooden floor tiles. The Nigerian own still appeared ok. If you are building on a budget, save yourself the stress and channel the extra fund to other things. Cement for the tiling is not smiling at the moment.

OgogoroFreak:Nigeria would be great are for those that wants to be deceived. The current political and economic structure of the country do not support any meaningful development now or in the future. I don't buy the deception from our men of God to keep praying while the same headlines make the front pages of the news paper, year in, year out. Find ways to make yourself indifferent to Nigeria's situation to avoid high BP. Plan as if you are not expecting anything better. Always have your plan B according to Pastor Paul. I wonder how it would be in the years to come. Say in the next 30 years with the current economic and political situation. I fear who no fear for the future of this country |
Cogs:Slap through whatsapp? ![]() |
One4me:In the long run, I don't think so. I invested in inverter and batteries and for the past 8 years, I have been enjoying uninterrupted power supply. In my current area, we usually have up to 18hours of power supply in a day. In those hours without power, my inverter takes over. Sometimes, when fully charged, I disconnect from public supply, making my monthly power purchase to fall drastically. I cant even remember buying fuel for my generator. Now, I want to take it further by adding solar. Initial cost outlay is high as I intend to get two of that 535w Canadian mono instead of having four parallel solar panels. I will completely disengaged from public power and switch back during cloudy weather. Make no mistake about it, cost of power from public supply will keep going high. I have applied for prepaid meter for my new build but yet to get response from EKEDC, after more than 11 months. They have been bringing outrageous bills to people living in that estate. Imagine getting a bill of 30k every month for non existing power. This has propelled me to get this solar even though is being financed via loans. Solar and clean energy is the future. It takes out inconvenience and stress from you. |
This may likely be a possibility. Probably testing the waters. If this current insecurity continues in 2023, there won't be any election and this proclamation would be made by the president. |
SaintLucia:Louder!!! The ignorance of the people in that region is legendry. I don't understand the thinking honestly. I have to come to understand that Igbos outside the SE think correctly and are much more disposed to other people, while those in SE are the ones spewing all this rubbish, wallowing in cheer ignorance, supporting destructive tendencies that has no bearing with development. You don't cut off your head to spite your nose. I am still at loss while they were hailing those UGM. This was how Boko started. |
He would definitely loose the online voting by wide margin, but will win convincingly when the actual election is held. Online voters do not have voters card and those with voters card do not vote online. |
adeskee:You cant do anything. Most foreign based companies wont go through stress of sponsoring you to come and do work that ordinary locals could do. Their government wont even approve the sponsorship. This action of yours is what create panic and pressure. Once you see that you are not entitled to work within that country, there is no need stressing yourself. Focus your attention on where you have superior advantage like permission to work. UK/Canada/US/EU/Gulf States hardly permit employers to bring in foreigners to do jobs that locals could do. I have done some consultancy jobs for some NGO that specifically requested that you must be a Nigerian to apply and not open to international consultants. Some will advertise for consultancy jobs in Nigeria and make it clear that the job is opened to only international consultants or expatriates. I don't waste my time applying. |
I feel you bro You have to be strategic! If you are to apply for jobs via LinkedIn, don't apply for any job that comes your way, tweaking your CVs to suite each. Maintain your CV and focus on one particular area of interest. Alternatively, disconnect from LinkedIn to be able to tweak your CV to suite the particular job you are applying. This is because potential employers go to LinkedIn to check your profile. If your profile differs from what you submitted, Oyo na your name. I removed my profile and qualifications from LinkedIn. This has enabled me to apply directly to companies, changing my CV and work experiences to suite different circumstances without fear of being checked out on LinkedIn. |
But I love that design. It looks portable and if it could get the job done, who cares how it looks. But truly, SA is far ahead of Nigeria. That university is a third rated university in SA but see how neat and inviting it looks. SA is far developed than most African countries. I wished the British had remained in Nigeria up to the 90s. The country would have been better. That's why Southern African countries are far more developed than West and central Africa. |
