pocohantas: The OP is right, painfully so.
Traditionally a man can take as many wives as he deems fit. There is no part of the Nigerian culture that is against polygamy. More reason I am always shocked when some men say, “let’s go back to the ways of our fathers”. Nobody blocked the road to polygamy. It is very open for any man willing to practice it in 2021.
Polygamy is not having one wife and smoking loud with a 200L girl in a serviced apartment. Our forefathers didn’t do that.
Make your stand clear, let the woman know what she is going into and bring all of them home. You're right, Poco. One of my Lecturers back in school told me that he used the law very well to his own advantage. He and his spouse are both educated, and he said he made sure he didn't conduct a statutory marriage, only customary marriage to do as he likes. His wife knows he fully cheats, with even 100/200 level girls but she decided to turn a blind eye to it. As for me, na Court Registry things. |

Magnoliaa: You know. Omoo. Somebody should just coman exchange this adulthood for my childhood back oh. This is a scam I didn't sign up for.
And I didn't ask for puberty. Sometimes I'll just sit down and think like, 'omgg, I am going to be doing this for the next 30+ years.' I won't stop menstruating until I hit menopause. Ha! And I cannot go back. Me before that I used to stuff my breasts with paper and clothes when I was a child and I'm always looking at the curves and feminine attitudes of the women around me in awe... waiting to grow up. Omo. Nobody told me this oh. You know this! I really didn't sign up for all these actually. To think period comes with mad cravings(both food and the other thing ), mood swings and irritability is so frustrating. I miss my childhood days, I won't even lie. I don't know why I was so eager to grow up. All I ever worried about then was if my two pair of socks were clean, so that I'd wear to school and impress my crush. I can't believe I'd be doing this period thingy for more than 30+ years too. God abeg! Sanitary pads don dey cost pass condom I feel serious orientation about life ahead should be given to teenagers to enjoy their childhood before they yearn "Growing up". |

As funny as this might sound, watch cartoons (animated movies), the ones with subtitles.
They help with great accent and diction. |

pocohantas: Thanks Greenie.
I tried it once as an undergraduate. Felt like it was stuffed with tissues, at best cotton wool. Never went back to it. The yellow wrap doesn’t help either. Except e done change colour or they have another colour.
I use Kotex panty liner, very nice too. Loool I think they've improved now though. The yellow wrap is trash actually. The green wrap is better and sells more. You can try out this one for "experiment purpose". Kotex is also really nice. |

I have since dumped Always brand for Molped because it's extra thick and absorbent for my heavy flow. Virony is also another good option, same with Kotex. |

pocohantas: I bought this Molped last week. Previously I was using Always Platinum (Ultra Thin). Needed to try different pads because I want to headline this menstrual hygiene program for teenage girls. The packaging caught my attention, so I picked it.
I am sure I won’t use Ladycare even if they paid me to. Lmao why don't you like Ladycare? |
