Former West Bromwich Albion striker Brown
Ideye has warned against the dangers of
Premier League players using witchdoctors.
A report in The Sun newspaper claims players
are using black magic to try to improve their
performances.
It says they are paying thousands of pounds
to witchdoctors in a bid to find another level.
The players are visiting juju men in West
Africa, where they are shown how to conduct
bizarre rituals that are also said to break the
curse of injury.
Emmanuel Adebayor claimed earlier this year
that his mum used black magic to ruin his
form in front of goal for Spurs.
Ideye, who left Albion to join Olympiacos last
month, has warned some stars are being
conned by tribesmen.
He said: “I know players who get involved with
the Juju men and they can’t get out. It’s a
trap. They might get short-term benefits, but
in the long run they pay for it. Juju men have
a lot of influence.
“These are men who are just trying to make
themselves rich and tell you they can make
your life perfect.
“If things like that worked then instead of
Messi and Ronaldo winning world player of the
year it should be some African players.
“I would advise players not to follow this route
but it’s their choice, I can’t stop them.”
According to The Sun some of the rituals
include the £460-a-time Troupkéka Milika.
Benin-based Juju man Marabout Degla
explained: “During its nine days you cannot
sleep with a woman and you should cover
yourself with a white loincloth while you sleep
at night.”
Also on offer to players is “a magic ring that
allows you to dominate playing partners and
opponents during every competition you take
part in.” Source: thenationonlineng.net/ideye-african-players-use-juju/ |
Foremost traditional ruler in the Southwest
and Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi
has commended President Muhammadu
Buhari for his leadership style since he took
over the mantle of leadership in the last
100 days.
The paramount ruler made the
commendation during his condolence visit
to Osun State governor, Rauf Aregbesola,
on the transition of the late Ooni of Ife, Oba
Okunade Sijuwade.
Enumerating the successes recorded by the
administration since May 29, Oba Adeyemi
stated that Buhari has proved to the world
that corruption was an alien and epidemic
disease to Nigeria and Africa.
The traditional ruler said Buhari had shown
his capability to the entire world as a man
capable and ready to liberate the country
from her myriads of challenges of
corruption, insecurity, poverty, poor
infrastructure, unemployment, poor
education system among others crises that
have been ravaging and stunting the socio-
political and economic growth and
development of the nation.
Oba Adeyemi said the few days spent by
the current administration had recorded
positive impacts in all the sectors of the
economy, especially on corruption and
security. Source: sunnewsonline.com/new/100-days-buhari-has-changed-economy-alaafin/

And I am sure d Op is ignorant of d fact that some girls will know it almost immediately u begin to feel something for them though d guy has done nothing to show it, in such cases, d girl will either shut u down before u can make ur intention known, encourage u to talk about ur feeling so she can turn u down, or encourage u cos she is curious to see how things will go. Op really have a point with d method cos girls indeed detest a guy appearing desperate and clingy, but the truth is, if she doesn't like u, she doesn't like u, and no method will make I like u. And forgot to mention some guys ended up being friend zoned cos they apply this Op method. |
CONTRARY to his public show of bravado
when he shunned Super Eagles coach and
the NFF in London, Chelsea midfielder Mikel
Obi has reached out to officials of the
federation to plead for forgiveness.
According to SportingSun findings, Mikel
called officials of the NFF from the northern
part of the country where he spoke in
Hausa language appalling to them to plead
with coach Oliseh to forgive him for
ignoring his calls when he visited London
to meet with players like Victor Moses, Carl
Ikeme to crave their commitment to the
cause of the. national team.
According to the source, Mikel called some
NFF officials last week to beg for
forgiveness. He spoke to them in Hausa,
weeping that they should. save his career
by appealing to the coach to forgive him for
shunning his calls. He said his career was
in danger if he was shut out of the national
team completely. Since he is not playing
regularly for Chelsea he reckons that his
career could be over if he not invited to the
national team” The decision on whether to
invite him on not rests with Oliseh. It would
be recalled that Mikel has had running
battle with successive Super Eagles
coaches from Samson Siasia, Stephen Keshi
and now Oliseh.
The NFF is said to be divided on whether
he should be invited or left out of the new-
look team. Source: sunnewsonline.com/new/mikel-weeps-begs-nff/

A 34 year old bakery worker, Mohammed Ahmed,
on Wednesday confessed that he raped his
daughter six times.
Ahmed, who was paraded by officials of the Osun
State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil
Defence Corps, told journalists in Osogbo that he
started having sex with his 14-year-old daughter
(name withheld) since April.
The distraught primary 5 girl, dressed in public
school uniform was not allowed to speak to
journalists.
He said, “I have two wives. The first had left and
she gave birth to three children. The second wife
gave birth to two children before she died.
“This one is the first child of my first wife. I don’t
know what came over me from April when I
started having sex with my daughter. I did not
see anything wrong then, whenever I was having
sex with her. I only have sex with her six times
since April 2015.”
“I am ashamed of my action. It is wrong and I
pray for forgiveness. I did not know what came
over me, but I am regretting the whole thing now.
I don’t drink alcohol and I don’t smoke.”
Asked why he chose to turn his daughter to his
sex partner, Ahmed said he did not know but said
his wife died two years ago.
The Head Public Relations and Protocol Unit of
the NSCDC, Mr. Wale Folarin, said the command
was alerted of the man’s act by one of his
neighbours.
He said the neighbours told the officials that he
used to hear the cry of the daughter almost every
night and this prompted him to asked the girl,
who confided in him the disgraceful act of his
father.
Folarin said, “The incident was related to us by
one of the neighbours of Ahmed who said he
used to hear the cry of the girl every night and
this made him to inquire from the girl.
“The little girl confessed to her father’s neighbour
and he narrated the story to us.”
He said the command would transfer the case to
the Ministry of Women Affairs in the state. Source: www.punchng.com/news/i-raped-my-daughter-six-times-father/ |
This issue looks really trivia, so it's normal if people doesn't understand, but the point is not dishing d food, d point is d woman being so occupied with other chores, and then having to leave those to dish food, it can b frustrating to have many things to do at the same time, then d husband insisting she leave those things to dish food which is placed right in front of him, it makes him look insensitive, and some how egocentric. But then, if that's what he want, the woman will just have to try adjust, cos no option, whoever u chose to marry, u must submit to. |

Hi everyone. Please does anyone have any idea about how genuine Shortlist Nigeria is? (www.shortlistnigeria.com). For those that may not know about Shortlist Nigeria, it's an online job portal, but unlike most online job portals, it doesn't list hiring company, job seekers only need to create an online resume. I got an email that an advertising agency viewed my resume and will love to contact me, but I have to pay 3000 naira for premium membership before I can respond to the agency, I saw the name of the agency and the website. But I don't know if I should pay. The 3k will be renewed after a year. |

Barrister Aisha Kalil Wakkil, a human rights activist with the National Human Rights Commission, who claims to be a very close confidant of Boko Haram foot soldiers, has said she knew some of the insurgents right from when they were circumcised. In a recent interview with Daily Trust, on Sunday, August 16, Wakkil, who has been peacemaking between the Jama’atu Ahlil Sunnah (Boko Haram) and the federal government for over five years spoke on a number of issues. According to her, the insurgents were very wonderful children and most of them lived in her house as it was open to all the children in that area. She said: “That was how I got to know most of them. Then they were not Boko Haram and Jama’atu ah-lil Sunnah members. It is surprising how these children turned out to be what they are now. I keep on saying there is certainly no smoke without fire. Something must have triggered those innocent-looking children to grow up behaving the way they are behaving now. You needed to see them growing up. Sometimes when I start talking about them, I shed tears. Those children prayed, and still pray a lot. I have a mosque in the house and they would always go in and pray .” Wakkil narrated how she started noticing changes in them. How they would go out in the morning and return in the evening and during the fasting period, they would not return until around 11 or 12 midnight. They also started attending Muhammad Yusuf’s lectures to listen to his preaching. “I didn’t observe anything strange about the teaching. Soon, the children began to be conscious of themselves. It was then that the rumour started that they were planning a war. When I heard of it, I went straight to Muhammad Yusuf because I had been very close to him. When I realized that Muhammad Yusuf was frequently being arrested, detained and released, I went to Baba Fugu and asked him why his son- in-law was always being detained? But I learnt he was always preaching things government didn’t like and insulting them ,” she said. The lawyer explained that after about a year or two, the rumours started again that they were planning to fight, saying: “Those boys in my house suddenly disappeared for about a month; I did not set my eyes on them. I was tensed up and started asking people where they were, but nobody could tell me. Eventually when they returned, one of them told me he had something to tell me. He said, ‘Mama we went for training. Mama, I swear, our guns have already arrived in Maiduguri and that included AK47s. I then asked him where they trained and he respectfully replied, “Mama, I will not tell you this one.” Wakkil had called Yusuf, who confirmed that they were planning to start a war and there was nothing that could be done to stop them, adding that the war would engulf everybody. That was how the insurgents began causing havoc. The boys in her house left and in a short while became commanders in the Boko Haram group. She stated that she had visited the insurgents several times at different locations in the bush and she used to take food and drugs to them, which were their major requirements. Asked if she had ever told the insurgents to accept an amnesty, she replied: “Yes, I have been doing that right from day one. In the beginning, they were telling me that, ‘Mama, we don’t like this thing that is happening to us. We are sure something is wrong somewhere. If government can call us and ask us, we shall tell them everything. Let government dialogue with us and tell us how to stop all these things and we will stop. “But as time went on, they started talking negative of government. They were saying government was no more doing this and that. One of them told me, ‘Mama, the ocean we are swimming in is very deep. This thing has graduated from the Jama’atul Ahlil Sunnah into something else. The big men in Nigeria know what I am saying. Such people will not allow peace to emerge because they have their interests .’” On whether the insurgents would accept an amnesty, she said: “Let me ask you this question; are they not human beings? If they are human beings like you and I, why won’t they accept the offer of amnesty? This administration is willing to dialogue with them. I am sure the president would like to ask them what happened and I am sure the children will be willing to say it. I was with them recently and they were asking me if the society will be willing to forgive them. I said why not if they will drop their arms and become good boys. If Nigeria and Nigerians can accommodate the OPC in the West, MASSOB in the East and the Niger Delta militants, why won’t they accommodate them ?” When asked if Shekau was really dead, she replied: “ I am sorry, I won’t answer that question. I do not want to discuss that issue .” Differentiating between the leadership of Yusuf and Shekau, she said Yusuf was cool-headed, adding: “But you should also know that they are not responsible for all the killings. Some of the killings are politically motivated while others may be for economic reasons. When finally there is peace and the boys come into the open, Nigerians will hear from them. They will tell the world who and who were sending them to do what.” Source: https://www.naij.com/522260-boko-haram-told-govt-big-men-nigeria-barr-aisha-opens.html

A cleric from Oyo state urged Nigerians to be
patient with President Muhammadu Buhari
over the delay in appointing the new ministers
and taking other crucial decisions.
Moses Kasali of Mercy of Prayer Ministry,
Ibadan, made the call on Saturday, July 25,
addressing the congregation in the capital of
Oyo state.
He expressed optimism that the president
would pick the new ministers within the first
100 days of his administration (by September
6, 2015).
Kasali noted that Buhari should not be tagged
as ‘Baba Go Slow’, said the leader of the
country was analysing the situation to ensure
nomination and appointment of the most
competent and reliable politicians available.
The cleric emphasised on the importance of
transferring the key ministries and parastatals
into the right hands.
Kasali said the situation with the National
Assembly leadership was a step backwards
from ‘change’, reminded him of the ‘old order’.
Previously, President Buhari was defended by
his own political kinsmen. First of all, Malam
Garba Shehu, a presidential spokesperson,
commented on the issue of
#BabaGoSlow hashtag, said Buhari had to deal
with the ‘mess’ left by the previous
administration.
Secondly, John Odigie-Oyegun, the national
chairman of the ruling All Progressives
Congress, stated that Buhari was taking
deliberate steps to make Nigeria a better
country, dismissed all the ‘Baba go slow’ jokes
and insinuations.
Finally, the president reacted to ‘Baba go
slow’ personally, during his official visit to the
USA, said he intended to “go slow and
steady”. Source: www.naij.com/498970-stop-calling-buhari-baba-go-slow-cleric.html |

There was mild drama in Ajegunle area of Lagos State, on Wednesday, when a 10- year-old boy was caught by his father while having carnal knowledge with an eight-year-old girl, around 4.30pm.http://leadership.ng/news/447697/boy-10-girl-8-caught-having-carnal-knowledge |
Twenty-seven years after the brutal murder by a parcel bomb of the journalist Dele Giwa, the fog surrounding those behind his death has been substantially cleared by 70-year-old Major Debo Basorun (retd.), former Chief Press Secretary to ex-military President Ibrahim Babangida. In an interview published this morning in National Mirror, Basorun was asked: “Are you saying categorically that it was Babangida who ordered the killing of Dele Giwa?” His answer: “Yes, yes and yes.” The septuagenarian had yesterday broken down in tears as he recalled Giwa’s dastardly murder during the launch in Lagos of his book, ‘Honour for Sale: An Inside Account of the Murder of Dele Giwa’. In the explosive interview, Basorun also accused his erstwhile boss of bringing corruption to the highest level in the country and of committing a lot of atrocities. Please read on: Question: What informed your decision to write a book about some salient events in the nation’s history? Immediately I left this country for exile in United States of America in 1989, I gathered all the materials for the book. I started making jottings on long hand. By 1994 the book was ready and the transcript was given to Prof. Wole Soyinka during the NADECO struggles. But for one reason or the other, I could not put it through Why did you go on exile? I had to run when my life was in danger. I was then the Chief Press Secretary to General Ibrahim Babangida, the former Head of State. Since I know some facts surrounding the death of Dele Giwa, the government was uncomfortable with me, therefore they were looking for how to eliminate me. Babangida’s government was involved in the planning and assassination of Dele Giwa. And because I was privy to that information, the government was unhappy, unsettled; it was jittery and wanted to get rid of me. It suspected that I could say the truth. When I saw the handwriting on the wall and between life and death, I ran for my life. I had to escape from the country after I took them to court. I was the only principal officer serving that will take the government to court. Despite several injunctions, at the Lagos High Court, the military government then just refused to come to the court to present their side of the story. The court said they should leave me alone, but they were hunting for me everywhere and since my life was no longer safe, I had to leave. What are the salient facts that you have in your custody that made you think the government was looking for you? These facts are hidden in the book and if you get a copy, you will see the intrigue that was woven round the killing of Dele Giwa. You will see the role certain characters played in the murder. I was even induced with money, but I refused, that was the time I had to run away. Now I believe it is better to state the fact the way it was no matter whose ox is gored. It is better to run away than to collect money from the devil. Are you saying categorically that it was Babangida who ordered the killing of Dele Giwa? Yes, yes and yes. What about the involvement of Cols. Haliru Akilu and A. K. Togun? Yes, these guys were in the military intelligence. They were all involved. If there is any dirty job to be done, the military intelligence would do it. I am a dramatic personae in that unit, therefore there is nothing they are doing that I would not know. The bitter truth is that Dele Giwa was killed by the Babangida regime. The whole thing was surrounded by mystery of our government. It is unfortunate that nobody has been brought to book. Are you not afraid of your life now that all those you implicated in your book are still alive? That was then that I used to fear, I am old enough to die now. That is the reason why I wrote this book, ‘Honour for Sale’. If eventually it leads to my death, I have no regrets. Why did they tag you a rebel while in the army, especially on the issue of a strong memo you wrote to your superior officer. What happened then? That was when I was in the army. The issue that forced me out into exile was that Babangida was the President. There were two different scenarios here. One of the things that endeared Babangida to so many troops was his sense of fairness and sense of accommodating, no matter where you come from. After I became his spokesperson in the army, I realised that most of our gadgets in the army had inscriptions written on them in Arabic. Despite the fact that I was a Muslim, I found it offensive that English was our lingua franca and that those things ought to have been written in English. I raised a memo and sent to him. He did not want to act on it, when Akilu, who was the Director of Military Intelligence got wind of it, he was bitter with me. He called me all sorts of names and came to accuse me for initiating such a memo. Was there any sinister move from Akilu over what you did? He was just harassing me, but Babangida shielded me, and told me that I should lie low. There was a time he told me that I should not mind him. I was doing a good job and the image of the army, which had been battered, was being restored gradually. Don’t you think that the society will blame you for concealing such information you are divulging now for many years? No; they will not, against the backdrop of what went wrong then. I knew why I went to court and refused to be posted to where they can kill me. There was a precedent, they have killed people in that unit before and nothing happened, therefore I didn’t want to be killed. If I did not have my facts, I will not go to court. That was why they muzzled everybody including the court. They were very powerful and there was nothing they could not do. Was that the reason why all the cases of glaring assassinations the country have been witnessing after the killing of Dele Giwa cannot be traced? It is only now that the police investigate cases of assassination and other organised crimes. Those days, the police cannot investigate anything. In fact, during the time of Babangida, the police was just a toothless bull dog. They were just there at the beck and call of the powers that be, then and there was nothing the rank and file could do. Is it true that the IBB you know can do anything to bribe his way out of any situation? I can tell you authoritatively that Babangida was a corrupt man. He was very corrupt. Several times, I had collected bribe for him. I am not claiming to be a saint, because I was a part of that government. It is ‘obey the last order’ in the military. I know bribery is not good, but it was a military assignment that you must carry out; it is a duty that you must do. If the society wants to blame me for that, I will take up the blame. IBB introduced a new dimension to corruption in Nigeria on a large scale. Recently the same IBB came out to condemn corruption in the country, how do you react to that? It is very unfortunate that he, who took corruption to the highest level, could do so. Every Head of State in this country, apart from Muritala Mohammed and Muhammadu Buhari, were all corrupt. The idea behind the book is just to call on Nigerians that they should not allow impunity to continue, enough is enough. After Dele Giwa, a lot of people, including journalists have been killed by the powers that be, yet nobody has unravelled the killings. What that is telling us is that the media is not doing enough to come out with such investigative stories, one day nobody knows who could come next as their target. That is the challenge I pose to them now; let them come and kill me. I no longer fear for my life. I am old enough to die now if that is the sacrifice to pay for telling the truth and exposing all the hidden facts in our past brutal political history. I don’t want to go to my grave with this heavy load on my chest, today I have children and grandchildren, so if death comes now, I have left a legacy for the next generation to ponder on. They offered me money to keep quiet, but I refused, knowing full well that a day like this will come. In 2010, Babangida wanted to use the Chief of Army Staff as they came up with spurious charge that cannot withstand the test of time against me that I stole money in the army. I took them to court, but they could not defend it. After that all other Chiefs of Army Staff who had sat on that chair realised that the issue was a political one and decided not to dabble into it. They did not want to dabble into it for the fear that a day like this may come where all the hidden facts will be in the open. They did all that could be done to rubbish my image and harass me publicly but it all failed. Was there any specific attempt on your life in the course of this crisis? When I was in exile, Babangida wanted to eliminate me, but all his attempts failed. He used the Nigerian Embassy in America to prosecute all these atrocities, he even got in touch with some corrupt US agencies to do the shady deal for him, but all failed. I was forced to go to court there before I was vindicated. Babangida was afraid of this day, when all his misdeeds of the past would be laid bare in the open to the public through my book. As an insider, do you believe that there were few cabals that were controlling the destiny of this country? Yes, Babangida is one of them. Let me tell you the bitter truth: all those who have been controlling the political power of this country are few cliques who are re-cycling themselves, either military or civilian. Most of them are in government by proxy; all their agents are in government. Let me give you an example, there are some people, who were with me in Dodan Barracks and who are still in the present government. For us to move forward, let all the old brigade hands off, including myself. Let the young people take over the reins of power and run it. With all these dead woods around, former this and former that, we are not going to get anywhere. Would you say we need revolution to make things right? Revolution is the last resort. Yes things are not going as it ought to go, but Nigerians can endure a lot, however there is limit to human endurance. When Nigerians are pressed to the wall, revolution will come naturally. The handwriting is clearly on the wall. Source: https://pottergrind./2013/11/24/yes-babangida-killed-dele-giwa-major-debo-basorun-rtd/

When he was formed from the earth, he was given dominion over all that was created, and then she was created to be his Helper, a co-dominator, but then he sinned, and then things he was dominating over began to dominate him, so he began to use his power to dominate over his help meet, his Co-dominator, after all, she is the weaker vessel (forgetting he turned against her cos he is weak). She was created his help meet, of cos with the power, strength and boldness to conquer with him. She was made soft at heart, yet strong at d same time, but she too was deceived, so instead of using all she was endowed with to help the man, she uses them to fight him, to compete with him, forgetting that no matter how much she fight, she can never be him, cos she was not even made to be him. |
