goingforward:Yes Ma'am! There are high tendency that your application is being processed by the London visa officer. Recently, that's where most online applications are treated. |
goingforward:Every application undergo the same background check. The delay in getting response for online route should be from the Visa officers handling the application. Therefore, the blame should be on the London Visa officers and not the routes. We find out that Nairobi visa officers are dedicated to their work and very fast in giving out reponse as soon as they recieve an application, but reverse is the case for London visa officers. You just have to be hopeful. It shall end in praises. |
henricson:Hello: In terms of having someone in assisting, arranging and making sure your documents are properly filled... Paper route will be your best bet here. Going through paper route, you will complete your biometrics same day, submit your passport with your application and pay for your visa application fee of #56,050 at the counter in the VFS office. Filling the forms before heading to the VFS Office will be cheaper because you will be charged like 7K to get your forms filled by some bussiness centers (Cyber Cafe) outside the VFS office premises. (Putting into consideration that you're a novice, you might decide to pay them to help fill your form, so as to avoid mistakes). Use this medium to access the forms needed for your application and follow the instructions provided: DOWNLOAD STUDY VISA APPLICATION FORMS Furthermore, there are no best route to use (be it online or paper) in as much as people get refused and approved in both routes. All the best! |
Biakwa:Biakwa, BACKGROUND CHECK: means they are matching the information you provided with their records, if you previously committed a crime, refused a visa, ordered to leave a country and if you are a threat to their security or on a wanted watch list. REVIEW OF ELIGIBILITY: is the final check and the final stage of your application at the Visa Office. At this point, all of the components of your application are assessed by CIC. They will be checking if you actually QUALIFY for a study permit and if your application meet the requirements of the IRCC Act. During the eligibility review, the Visa officer will then request for medical check ups as needed by the Visa Office to complete your application. Most times, it is the Review of Eligibility that some applicants fail to meet because their applications and conditions does not meet the requirements of the IRCC Act (Insufficient funds, course correlation, limited home ties, failure to convince the visa officer that the primary intention is to study). Other checks are just standard procedure for CIC. After successful review of applicant application and considering that there were no serious issues in the medical checkup, mispresentation, and security to ensure that you will not be a danger to Canadians should your study permit be approved, the Visa Officer will then request for your passport. |
kpizzle:kpizzle, Sorry about the outcome of your application. The prime driver behind your visa refusal was purpose of visit. You have failed to satisfy the visa officer that your proposed studies in Canada makes sense given insufficient information on how your proposed studies in Canada would improve career prospects to a degree that would offset the costs and expenses in studying in Canada instead of pursing programs available in country of residence. Before reapplying, try your possible best to answer the above in your SOP, you will get it the third time. Travel history is not a factual reason for a visa refusal. It shall end in praises in your next application. |
jnyuwa02:Very well then Attorney, you have said yours and I have also made my point out spoken. I think the applicant will now decide which opinion best suit him/her. Let's move onto important things |
goingforward:LOL! It ended as an APPROVAL! |
uyplus:Yes boss! Go with the request form, the medical fee and int'l passport bio data page. |
jnyuwa02:Abiodunne the case study you used, had every right to send mails to CIC because I can recall vividly that his application stayed close to a year (12 months) before getting a reponse. This applicant in question application is not close to the processing time, talk more of exceeding it. As earlier stated by me, I don't advise such person to send a CSE to CIC, because this might affect the credibility of the applicant application. |
uyplus:May the name of the Lord be praised! So happy it also turned out well for you too. I'm sitting here waiting for your approval! |
sopho:Are you for paper route? Link your application online using this medium : LINK PAPER APPLICATION ONLINE Are you for online route? Continue with the GCkey account username you used during your online process and password. |
uyplus:Wow! That's cool! In respect to the application we talked about? Congratulations! |
hurricanesgrace:hurricanesgrace, Sorry about the outcome of your application. I won't advice you to quit. Remember the saying goes "Winners never quit, they strive harder for success at all cost". Never quit. It is the easiest cop-out in the world. Set a goal and don't quit until you attain it. When you do attain it, set another goal, and don't quit until you reach it. Never quit. You might want to push in another application for the last time. Share your profile and the generic reasons for your refusal. So we can pick it up from there. |
reichwolf: joe10:I go with joe10's advice, it's a guided one. Don't mail CIC if your application has not exceeded the normal processing times for Nigerian applicants because if you eventually do so, you won't get a response from them and you might be likely tagged as a desperate applicant. It's more better you mail your school and explain to them that a decision has not been made on your visa application. |
Biakwa:No one here has an answer to this... The fact remains that online applications are unpredictable. An online application can stay pass the normal processing times (9weeks) without medical request and still be refused. Speak to God in prayers and every other thing(VISA) shall be added unto you! |
makano:This helps alot! Best of luck with your application. |
joe10:You're absolutely right! |
Biakwa:This must be Paper route not online.... @Dera12345, your attention is needed here.... Did you went through paper route or online? So as to provide clarity to this honourable thread. |
Biakwa:I guess you must be mistaken this for Paper route applicants. |
mightyola:Online route June applicant, None for now. |
justwise:Going through the bolded, I will have to prove you wrong by saying that this thread is indeed a charity organization because people from different nationalities come here to seek and acquire vital informations for free, which on a norm it will cost them a hell lot of money from immigration consultants out there. Well, I have voiced my mind and suggestion to the current situation. It's left for you as the moderator to take an action. Regards, Frank |
justwise:Thank you for acknowledging my previous post. With all due respect Sir, placing a tested and trusted ad here for prospective applicants to order for their GCMS note is not bad in any way, either it helps the present situation. I can recall brilliantly some time last year on this thread, when applicants freely make use of third party GCMS website, not until after we had a range of news going round about that some applicants were secretly defrauded outside this thread all in the name of assisting them in ordering for their GCMS note. Thanks to you, who took it up and sanctioned the impostors involved in such Fraudulent Act. But, this has got nothing to do with the trusted third party GCMS website people have been making use of on this thread, our threat last year was on the imposter in question. We never had any bad reviews from applicants here concerning the third party webpage. Kindly make this GCMS website to be available here again, so that people won't be facing challenges or being restricted to having someone in Canada before ordering for their notes. Let's be sympathetic and considerate please. Thank you! |
Uchboggy:Uchboggy, Sorry to hear you passing through this right now. The link is opening from my end, I wonder why it's not working over there with you. Try it this way: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en. Also, be guided that when using the above link, you will need someone who is legally residing in Canada be it a citizenship of Canada, student, permanent resident or a visitor before you can be able to order for this GCMS NOTE. You will further need the person's mailing address, phone number, email address. At the end, you're expected to sign the consent form, authorizing this person to order for the note on your behalf. OR better still, get the person's details, then complete payment using your naira Master Card from Nigeria. All the best! |
COVER LETTER TO THE MODERATOR Mr. Justwise, Greetings to you honourable admin of this reputable thread, I write on behalf of the prospective applicants who were recently refused of their study visas and are finding it very difficult in ordering for their GCMS note using the ATIP LINK which you pasted at the first page of this thread. I beseech that you look into this matter ASAP and get a supporting and a trusted website where applicants can easily order for their GCMS notes, without being mandatory/restricted that an applicant must have someone in Canada before ordering for their GCMS note, considering the fact that not all applicants that are here has someone in Canada. I have decided to call on your attention to this present situation. I hope you kindly look into my suggestion and find the best possible way to handle the issue on ground. Kind Regards, Frank |
Uchboggy:Uchboggy, Are you sure you tried the quoted text with links and you didn't get what you seek? (GCMS). Well, that's the authorized link for ordering GCMS NOTE as instructed by the moderator of this reputable thread. |
muizzzz:muizzzz, It's pretty clear and straight forward. The snap shot you attached, is clearly saying that you need someone who is legally residing in Canada be it a citizenship of Canada, student, permanent residence or a visitor before you can be able to order for this GCMS NOTE, the person's address, phone number, a written/signed consent form from you authorizing this person to order the note on your behalf, a valid identity document (passport) of the person etc.... The question here is, Do you have anyone In Canada who can order for this gcms note on your behalf? If yes, get the person to do this for you. OR better still, get the person's details following the above requirements listed and complete payment using your Naira Master Card. Whichever of the two is good. It's left for you to decide which best is okay for you. All the best! |
Dera12345:Dera12345, Sorry about the outcome of your application. In order not to derail the thread with constant repetition to already answered questions, I believe the below attached link will go a long way to quench the curiosity about your visa refusal. YOUR REFUSAL GROUNDS Additionally, take steps by ordering for your GCMS NOTES using the attached link: ORDER YOUR GCMS It shall end in praises in your next application. |
DeuxMille:DeuxMille, Yes you can use a Sponspor who isn't a blood relation to you. This sponsor of yours must convince the visa officer beyond reasonable doubt that he/she is financially capable of sponsoring you throughout your stay in Canada. A convincing reason to why he/she is spending so much on you to further your studies abroad while there are available programs offered here in Nigeria, must suffice in your sponsor letter of support. Strong financial commitment towards sponsoring you by paying part or full tuition fees and transferring funds into your personal/dorm account, is very crucial when it comes to third party sponsorship. Sponsor must certify the visa officer that while financing your studies in Canada, that all financial obligations must be meet i.e his/her immediate family members, business, and personal welfare must be taken care of. Evidence of history or ongoing financial support from your sponsor goes a long way to show strong proof of relationship. Furthermore, you can show proof of relationship with cousin by including your father's birth certificates and your sponsor (cousin) father's birth certificates too.. And also your birth certificate and that of your cousin as well. That's if this were to be a paternal cousin... All the best! |
mightyola:Correct! It doesn't guarantee approval nor a medical request. |
Ratawu:Ratawu, I'll have to disagree with you on this. What have you to say to applicants whose applications have gone past the 9 weeks processing times? That, their applications are starting all over again?. I am sorry to say but sometimes your proclamations here are invalid. I remembered how you once said that paper route application documents are being scanned to the processing office by the VFS workers, thereby leaving some vital documents behind, which you said attributed to the fast refusal on paper route. Advising folks here that Online route is the best route to suit. I further requested to know how you came up with this ideology of yours, you kept mute. I can also remember some time ago, when you announced that the updated IMM5707E family form which excludes adding details of applicant siblings was fake and not the actual form to use for paper route applicants. After series of debate here, you laterly find out that it was an acceptable form to use from IRCC. Please let's be very sure of what we are dishing out here. We should have in mind that this is a public forum and many depend on informations gotten here. |
makano:From my point of view, I think you are suppose to undergo biometrics again. Because the rule says applicants that did biometrics after 31/7/2018 will not have to submit their finger prints till after 10years. Looking closely from your profile, I was baffled to see the biometrics enrollment date being last year (2017) and expiration date as (2027). Inorder not to judge by our assumptions, I'll be very eager to know if you finally did this biometrics of yours at the VFS Office. Keep the house updated on how you went about this. Finally, I don't advise you mail CIC because of this issue at hand. It's not reasonable to do so. |
MeinKampf:Please you guys should take it easy okay. It's a general update by CIC that applicants are not expected to give their biometrics after 10 years, effective from 31/7/2018. |

interesting, well I have to refer you to my previous answer, to add to that let me also remind you that nairaland is not a charity organisation.
