if you guys are so much afraid to make losses why not simply give your money to a forex company and earn your interest? I have heard some guys shouting don't do it, giving different reasons. Their excuses shows that they don't know anything about business contract terms and agreement. I have been with some since January, and no delay in payments. Nothing like , we didn't make profit so we can't pay you. We have an agreement, it is a contract. If you don't know about forex trading stop wasting your money, give it to a firm to trade for you. Try DHP forex company now. It pays 2% of your investment daily. Whatssap me on zero eight zero 93 seven six 5795

Wouldn't it be better to apprehend them?

These images are visible to the world and it shows how less we regard human lives in this country. Maybe because we think we are more than 200 million so we can afford to kill ourselves with reckless abandon.

Little wonder nothing is done when Nigerians are humiliated outside the country. It's not as if you are appreciated back home undecided
We complain when the police does bad.. Why not compliment them when they do good?
Their number one responsibility is to protect the lives and property of the populace that these fools were planning to destroy.

They got information about the robbery and decided to act by going there to see for themselves and on reaching there the thieves started firing at them then you expect them to go and apprehend the idiots. Nobody does that anywhere except there are willing to lay down their lives for those robbers.
PoliticsRe: Crowd Welcomes Governor Yahaya Bello Back From Abuja In Cotonou (Photos) by freeman67: 5:10pm On Jul 21, 2019
Election is getting close and politician are staging acts to manipulate the minds of the electorate. This Governor seem to be practically staying in Abuja and visiting Kogi on part time basis. No matter the love people have for him if this is how they've been welcoming him from Abuja since he assumed office by now they would have been tired of welcoming him because his house is in Abuja and his office is in Kogi. No body gets this kind of crowd welcoming him/her everyday when coming to or going back from work.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: How Does Civil Defence Conduct Its Recruitment? by freeman67:
obiekunie2:
Permit me to ask this question - is civil defense not a federal government parastatal?

if they are, why are they not doing open public recruitment as stated in the constitution?

since i started hearing of civil defense for more than 10 years now, i have never seen them publicly announce their recruitment.

does it mean they dont do recruitment? or their staffers doesn't have retirement, retrenchment and recruitment on their constitution that established it?

or is there an exception that allows them not to do open recruitment like the rest of the parastatals like immigration, prisons, customs, etc.

PLEASE ANY NAIRALANDER THAT HAVE IDEAS ABOUT THIS PARASTATAL AND THEIR RECRUITMENT PROCESS SHOULD PLEASE ENLIGHTEN US.
Joining the NSCDC was voluntary before 2003-2005 when government took over. After that, they tried to regularise most of the voluntary staff. In the process of regularisation the people who saw was to come injected some few of their own people too.

The first major recruitment after the government took over its running was in 2010. The news was everywhere then. Though they had to be some man know man (connection- as we call) in some instances as it is with Nigeria before the appointment, it was opened to all.

The second major recruitment was in 2012. Though public, it was somehow secretive. Lots of people that had the opportunity to join on or before the 2010 but neglected it have started seeing what they missed and so have developed interest. Nigeria job situation did not help matters too.

After that, in 2015 they was a replacement, done to fill in the gap of dead, retired and retrenched staff. It was very quite and secretive that even majority of the staff were not aware till the new staff were about to finish training. Since then it has been secret replacement. No public employment announcements yet.

1.75% interest on a loan of N1.2m (12 months plan) means a monthly repayment of N100,000 + N7500 interest for 12 months.

Seriously, this is the best deal I've seen anywhere in Nigeria (excluding Cooperative societies).
I don't know if the calculation of loan interest is different from normal banking interest. Yes it is very good if the repayment interest is this minimal. However, it doesn't look that way to me. Please I will want know how they arrived at N7,500 as 1.75% of N1,200,000

These banks have come again with their usual disgust for competition and late entry into trendy stuff.

GTBank is now offering loans (10k-5M) at 1.75% monthly interest rate!

Repayable in 6-12 equal monthly installments.

Please can I terminate my TB prematurely from any first bank branch in another state or I must do it at same branch I did the TB.
You will have to give a try first. There is not guarantee for it some staff you meet at the seat could be flexible while others are stiff. I have collected proof of investment from other branches of First Bank where I did not initiate the transaction so long as they check and it's there.. However, about 2 week back I invested with a branch that's far from me and went to another close by to get the proof because you can't get it same day. The staff seated there out rightly said she will not print it for because I didn't do it there.

Things like this is easy with GTB as whatever request concerning your account /transaction is sent to your account officer /your branch so it does not matter where you initiate so long as your account officer can verify that the instruction is from you.
PoliticsRe: Many Senators Are Disappointed With Their Salaries – Uzor Kalu by freeman67: 7:09am On Jul 14, 2019
That is the problem of politicising institutions.. If issue of corruption arises in an institution it should be isolated and treated as such. Not trying to condemn the whole institution probably because you do not flow in the same frequency. Some of these senators were probably supporter of the 'National Assembly is the most corrupt arm of government' when some happenings then did not favour them while the new ones were yet to know what was actually going on then.

'A minister would no go to Lagos with leg' but so long as the alleged bogus transportation allowances and co senator receive remain like that, we will maintain the name that has already been given.. No need to change name when the situation has not changed..

The post say 5 count charges for 7 years each to run 'concurrently'.

concurrently
/kənˈkʌrəntli/

Is an adverb.
Meaning
'at the same time; simultaneously.'

If the 7 years runs at the same time or simultaneously as the post say, it means all the 5 7 years starts from day one and end in the 7th year.

Hi guys.

I initially wanted to open a mmf with FirstBank but it looked like it would require me to visit their office physically so I opted for United Capital.

I was filling out the form online and stopped where I was asked to upload my passport, utility bill and signature which I did not have handy.

I cancelled the application but lo and behold, i received a mail stating that my account has been activated.

It contained my new account number and requested me to pay in some accounts. I am really confused at this point cause the mail said nothing else.

Please help
You have to send the KYC details to them as soon as you get so you can be able to operate your MMF account hitch free. Most times its easy for financial houses to collect your money but when you want to redeem your fund, you would be asked for all the required details and that might take time. It would not matter then even if you need the funds very urgent..

· Passport Picture

· Valid Passport

· Utility Bill
Thank you.

NOT THE EASIEST WAY TO GO.

The Data group is more promising.
I got dz response from them.

Thank you for your e-mail.
Treasury bills are a short-term government debt instrument issued by Government of Ghana (GOG). The bills are auctioned by Bank of Ghana (BoG) on behalf of Government of Ghana on its own account. The current interest rates for the period (24/06/2019 to 28/06/2019) are:

91-Day bill: 14.77%per annum
182-Day bill: 15.23%per annum
Buying treasury bills in Ghana, through Databank Brokerage Limited is very simple. Below are the things you need to do to achieve your objective:

1. You have to open a treasury bill account with us
2. Wire the funds into our brokerage account and send us a scanned copy of receipt for the payment with instructions.
NB: As a foreign investor, you cannot invest in a 91-day, 182-day but the 364 day bill . Unfortunately, we do not have available the 364 day bill for this week.
Please find an application pack attached. Kindly fill and scan them back to me, along with a scanned copy of your valid I.D – Passport (required for overseas clients) and a copy of your utility bill.

Also kindly affix a passport photo on the first page of the application form and the signature card before scanning.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch for any clarification.

Kind regards,

Keziah Christian
I hope to subscribe through data bank.
Yes I contacted GTBank Ghana through WhatsApp too and I was told same with the inclusion of Resident permit too.

For those complaining of toping up with quickteller, ATM and not being credited same day. Like some people pointed out above, they have already notified customers of that before hand.

If you intend to be credited same day what you have to is to either to go to the banking hall and transfer to First Trustees/SIMMF account or you make your transfer straight to First Trustee/ Stanbic IBTC account directly through your mobile app quoting your own money market fund account number in the transaction note. This should be done before 12:00pm on working days.

I guess you deal in consumable goods. I am a consumer so my assertion is based on what and how I buy the items. Before items get to the final consumer it passes through many phases so it incurs more cost. However, yes some prices may have reduced from what it was in 2016/17 but some prices remained there. While some fluctuates according to the season which is what may be happening to your oil and rice now but from a consumer like me I have not seen that 100-120% reduction like the increase. Some bread we were buying between 200-250 then is now N350-400. Fuel which is one of the major determinant in prices of goods and services was N97-87 but now it is between N143-145 as so has. Indomie super pack was between N50-60 is now N80-85.

For seasonal goods like Tomatoes I got a basked some 3 months back at N3,000 and 3 week after I was asked to pay N10, 000 for same basket.

And red oil went from 15k/25 litres to 5,500/25 litres. Local rice went from 9500 to 6000 and so many other food items
While I will say it is depends on the area you leave or buy your stuff, if I am give the prices of these items based on where I stay I will say this particular statement is completely false. Where I leave, in town a 25ltr of Palm oil is sold between N11500-13,000. while in the suburban markets you can get it between N9500-10500. Also no local rice sells for N6500 around here not even for the 25kg bag... In the town markets, malls and stores it is sold between N16,000-N19000 while you will it is sold from N15,000.
