Christopherrrr: Nothing is absolutely wrong with me. Yes I have found love but the consequences are way far beyond me. It's not only gonna affect me alone but every other being from my father's loins. My parents will have a fair share of the consequences same is applicable to my siblings and every other person that involves themselves in a marital way with them. Honestly, I don't wish this for my worst enemy. Damning the consequences is easier said than done in this part of the world. To bad we ain't in the Western world where there is individualistic lifestyle. Herein lies the answer you seek. Just find a way to subtly tell her it would not work because of what you discovered from your enquiry and let everyone move on. |

flowx: The policy is not new in anyway. It has been like that since GEJ administration.
So I don't know the meaning of all this cemical reation. This is not a truthful statement. Before today no amount deposited in any Nigerian Bank attract charges. What was said to attract charges earlier is withdraw more than N500,000 and N3, 000,000 for individuals and corporate accounts respectively and the charge was around 1%. Yes it may have been designed long before now but it has not taken effect until today. |

Sorry, I'm new to these things. No, what it means is that you can withdraw without penalty once your funds spend 30 days with them. The interest rate there is annualised. |

feelamong: I dont think its a good idea to rush into a long term TBill deal now.
Naija is broke and the FG needs to borrow over N1TR in this quarter..
I see rates going to as much as 14.5% in the coming weeks.
Just look for good short term secondary market deals and lie there for the small time..... Above is an advice to me by Oga feelamong earlier. You should consider it too. tijusegele: Very correct sir I went there around some minute to 4pm and she said I should com around 10-12
More so all I want to know is should I just settle for secondary market tomorrow dose it make sense or should I wait till 19th sept Depending on tenure you intend to invest in. If its for short tenure no need to wait you can do secondary in order not to waste more days. However if it's for long tenure, there is a possibility rate may go higher on the 19/09/19 so you can consider doing it then. |

tijusegele: So pls guys I juz need response against tomorrow
I walk into FBN to make enquiries and the reply I got was these
I can’t invest in the primary market until the nxt 2 week
Why I will have to come back tomorrow to see the rate of the secondary market
Pls any advise because it seem the bank are not happy when customers come for treasury bills
They said I can do a fixed deposit which is 5.5%, but I turn it down Though primary market auction is every 2 weeks. According to the 4th quarter NTB calendar posted here recently, there would be another auction next week on 19/09/19. So it means you can still invest in primary market next week if you wish to. Except there didn't have any available in the secondary market today which is very unlikely or you went after 3:00pm, they ought to have shown/told you the tenure and rate available. What you should do is to either go to another branch of FirstBank tomorrow if there is another branch where you live or when you go back there tomorrow be very bold to ask of the person in charge of TB. Tomorrow there is no primary market so you will request to know the tenures and rates available in the secondary market straight. Then choose from whatever is presented to you. If they decline just tell them you will call and notify firstcantact about what transpired. I believe that should suffice.. |

feelamong: Primary market refers to the Bi Monthly Auction by CBN/DMO. Here you submit your bids thru your banks for the amount, tenor and rate you intend to deal on..
Secondary markets refer to the buying and selling of the already purchased Tbills amongst the investors. Bank A can decide to sell down on the Tbills it purchased and as such will put it for sale thereafter. Unlike in stock markets where we have the stocks exchange for secondary transactions of stocks, the Tbills secondary market is basically an OTC where the major players (banks, Asset managers, INvestment Houses, PFAs all interact amongst themselves.. we the retail players just jump on the back of our banks to get into the deal and buy from them or sell to them Oga feelamong I salute you... I must say you are a very patient and understanding (person) somebody ooooo. After all the lecture notes you deposited at the beginning of this thread with everything explained in details lot of people will still come and ask same questions and you still create to to respond to them. Though some may not have enough knowledge on how to navigate threads on Nairaland, others just do not like to commit time and learn about what they want to put money in. |

if they are, why are they not doing open public recruitment as stated in the constitution?
since i started hearing of civil defense for more than 10 years now, i have never seen them publicly announce their recruitment.
does it mean they dont do recruitment? or their staffers doesn't have retirement, retrenchment and recruitment on their constitution that established it?
or is there an exception that allows them not to do open recruitment like the rest of the parastatals like immigration, prisons, customs, etc.
PLEASE ANY NAIRALANDER THAT HAVE IDEAS ABOUT THIS PARASTATAL AND THEIR RECRUITMENT PROCESS SHOULD PLEASE ENLIGHTEN US. https://www.nairaland.com/5350000/nscdc-recruitment-2019-how-apply |

C505: Please house I'm contemplating between 2 things.
I have a few tbills running in my bank and I have a target of attaining up to 20M with the idea of getting 2M yearly @10%.
I also have a life assurance running although I'll say I regret delving into it cos the roi after 15yrs isn't worth it but my account officer practically opened up to me today that he'll prefer I do annuity for life as it pays more than the current policy I'm dealing with.
Here you determine how much you want to be paid for life after 50yrs. For eg, I told him I'll love to earn 500k monthly from 50yrs and he calculated approximately 1.5M yearly to be paid so that as soon as I clock 50,I'll be earning 500 monthly which is 6M yearly. Although I'm 32, I'll have to pay this sum for 18yrs which he explained it's a deferred payment since I'm not 50yet
Question is...... Is it a good idea to do this or is there anyone knowledgeable enough to throw more light into this? Cos it may look better than tbills but ?? In Nigeria? With what we have on ground now what is the possibility of that insurance firm still existing in 20yrs time? |

RealityShot: first we need to know the rates and banks that have Nigerian branch, which can do the investment there.
Then, the minimum investment. Then the conversion rate, so as to determine profitability. GTB has a branch there. Below is a snapshot of my enquiry with them earlier in June when I. I have forgotten what they said the rate was. I think around 17% to 20%

This is not CCTV. It is a phone camera that was used. The people that videoed this didn't try at all. Raising alarm by shouting "thief" alone would have scared them off. They were just thieves without arms for God sake. Now the owner of this car didn't just lose his broken glass but valuables in the car.
It's the act of cowardice that have bedevilled this country generally that made these guys succeed. If those behind that camera were brave enough, the best they could have gotten have gotten out of the situation was to flee if not they'd have been arrest or probably leached by mob. |

l have a domiciliary account with GTB where I use to receive Google AdSense earnings.
But for the account to be active for withdrawal, it must have two referees who either owns a current or domiciliary account with the bank.
Please I need the help of a owner of the above mentioned account in GTB.
I'll be very grateful. umohedikan@yahoo.com Hello, I have found myself in the same situation you were back then about referees. I open a current and domiciliary accounts specifically because of Eurobond investment I did earlier. I have submitted about 5 referees already 2 GTB and 3 other bank accounts. The GTB account were said to be salary accounts while for the other banks they told me they weren't approved. So I am in a sort of dilemma now because I don't only need the accounts running. I have a little money there that I can't access. I will be grateful if you can help me out with it. Thank you. |

This would be my first time not going directly into a bank to buy Tbills. I’ve sent countless emails to FBN without replies. The phone numbers on their websites are land lines which aren’t connecting.
I’ve tried to read a couple of pages but didn’t see anything relating to this hence my question. Please I’m desperate and need urgent replies. To get a quick response from First Bank, you will have to mail firstcontact@firstbanknigeria.com or drop your worries on their main twitter handle. They will ask you to DM them the details. I believe from there you can carry on. |

After all the hard man they made him believe he is, he was caught and no other hard man could even disguise to come and say hi. Look at this statement “Since the police arrested me, not one member of the group under any guise has visited me. I am left to my fate."
