Christianity EtcRe: Adeboye Is Not Wrong by fuke(m): 9:30am On Aug 16, 2013
striktlymi: I understand some of the complaints people put forth...

1) The building he has currently, can take upto a million people, I think.

2) There are other RCCG Churches all about, hence there is no pressing need to build a bigger one because the people have other places of worship.
They are all missing the point.

Why building a 3km Auditorium running into billions of Naira
for a convention that comes once in a year?

Accountants will call it misapplication of resources and capital tie down.

Why the convention in the first instance when it inflicts pain to
motorist on the only highway that connects the rest of the country to the commercial capital?
RCC has more branches that any other church. Let them pray in their churches and parishes

I admire Baba Adeboye for his simplicity but Nigeria and Nigerians could do more beneficial
things with this billions than building this superfluous auditorium.

I am sure there are jobless people in that church, there are widows in that church, there are brilliant indigent students in that church, and there are brilliant first class graduates who could do with overseas training, there are businessmen whose business need capital injection etc.

It is a pity, we do things here with profound impunity.

I doubt if any church can say this in Europe or USA without the Taxmen swooping on them.

Let Government start taxing the donors and the receivers.
PoliticsRe: Lagos-Ibadan Expressway And The Churches - Joe Igbokwe by fuke(m): 3:17pm On Aug 13, 2013
deeptesting: The question is did they build the church on the road? Lagos-Ibadan road ought to be dualized to at lease accommodate 10 vehicles on each lane and ensure that all vehicles veering to these churches or whatever maintain a single lane...Where else should they locate this churches? I wish Joe Igbokwe proffered a solution in his write up. It's simply the failure of the government to live upto its responsibility and they should be held responsible for the sufferings and death of Nigerians on that road.
So they should be inflicting pains on millions until the road is expanded.

With all the churches, our economy was still written off AFDB.

Igbokwe has proffered solution. Let them stop the nonsense
and allow the branches to do the worshiping and praise singing.

God does not inflict pains on people.

PoliticsRe: Any State Govt That Ignores Igbos Does So At The Risk Of Its Economy - Suswan by fuke(m): 8:19am On Aug 01, 2013
Nonsense.

Where are the stats from?

Yes, they have commerce in their blood but wealth does not end there.

My problem with Igbos is that they are so discriminating and unaccommodating.

How many Yorubas in Onisha Market and how many in Ariara Market in Aba?

Now How many Igbos in Ladipo Market In Lagos ? And how many in Iwo Rd Ibadan?.

The igbos will not allow you to own properties in their place and yet they go to other places and blosoom.

Even in your backyard they want to lord it over You and dominate everywhere.

See what is happening in Nigeria Army with the first Igbo Army chief since the Civil war.

Make an Igbo the president, you will be able to count other tribe in Aso Rock on your finger tips.

This is one issue Nigeria will address sooner or later.

I do not know of any other tribe but should the Igbos decide to move back to Enugu, the Yorubas wont miss them for a second.

Donmams: SMH for you. You are celebrating public assault by ignorant soldiers who do not know their left from right. In civilised countries a soldier dares not speak rudely to a civilian else risk court martial. However i won't be surprised to see more fools celebrating this nonsense.
What is your problem?
Which civilized country allow you to jump the queue?
Worse still, which civilized country will allow you do this under emergency rile.

Some people suffer self inflicted ignorance just to be heard.

InvestmentRe: What Investors Want To See In Your Business Plan by fuke(m): 8:21am On Jun 18, 2013
MITNEXUS: If you are in the process of raising capital for your business from investors, then you unquestionably need a business plan. A business plan is a critical part of starting any business and serves a number of critical functions. Writing a solid business plan can be a real challenge, however, which is likely how you found yourself here

A good business plan must answer in sufficient details the following 10 questions if it is to meet the expectations of prospective investors and potential business partners.

1.Company Description – What does your company do? What is your mission statement and overall product or service focus?

2.Management Team – Give a brief description of your key employees with respect to leadership, education, background and work experience.

3.Problem Being Solved – What problem is your company solving and how great is the pain or waste?

4.Customers – Who are your potential customers? Does your product or service directly impact your customer’s bottom line?

5.Value Proposition – How much does your customer make or save by using your product or service? What are the benefits to your customer? How long does it take to realize these benefits?

6.Business Opportunity – How does your company make money? Describe the revenue streams, and include a yearly projection of revenue, expenses, EBITDA, net income and funding requirements for the next five years.

7.Uniqueness – How do your customers use your product or service today? Who else does the same thing you are doing today? Who else could be doing it tomorrow?

8.Barriers to Entry – Is your product or service defensible? Are there sufficient barriers to entry? What patents, copyrights, trade secrets, etc. protect your product from duplication?

9.Competitive Differentiation – What is the competitive landscape? Discuss companies that can be viewed as competition in the market segment. Please explain the key points of differentiation between you and your competitors.

10.Scalability – Where might your product grow within your client company (and its supply chain and sales channels) or among client users?

11.Sales and Marketing Strategy – What is the target market size and growth over the next five years? How will you attract customers? What are your distribution channels and how do you plan to achieve market penetration?

12.Strategic Partners – What strategic relationships do you currently have or plan to have in the future? What is the nature of these relationships?

Answering these questions successfully will sufficiently excite a lender or investor about your concept and that will convince them they should fund your business.

Whether you are seeking a bank loan, equity investment from angel investors, venture capital firms or friends and family, you need an Investor Ready business plan. An investor ready business plan is a document that has been professionally prepared to meet the needs of investors.
Nice job.
But you left out one important point.

Threats to the business and how you plan to overcome them.
This element is very important when you are writing a bankable proposal
as there is no business and industry without its problems.

You must identify these problems in your proposal and give ideas as to how to solve them.

Having said that some proposals may need more areas to be covered

HealthRe: Smoking Will Be Banned Soon In Nigeria - FG by fuke(m): 10:28am On Jun 14, 2013
malele: The Federal Government, on Thursday, said smoking would soon be banned in the country as soon as the Anti-Tobacco Bill before the National Assembly was passed into law.
It also disclosed its readiness to convene a Universal Health Coverage to help boost strategies towards improving healthcare delivery.
Minister of Health, Professor Onyebuchi Chukwu, who spoke in Abuja, at a ministerial platform, insisted that the Federal Government could no longer condone smoking.
He asked rhetorically: “Why are you smoking? Why are you taking what will kill you? What benefit do you derive from smoking?”
Professor Chukwu listed his achievements in office in the last two years to include establishment of National Trauma Centres in the University of Abuja Teaching Hospital and the National Hospital, Abuja; completion of Federal Staff Hospital, Jabi, Abuja; completion of Laboratory and Administrative building of the Nigerian Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Development (NIPRD), Abuja, and rehabilitation and equipping of several teaching hospitals in the country.
The minster disclosed that President Goodluck Jonathan increased funding for polio eradication to N4.7billion and made further commitment of N2.5billion this year with a Presidential Task Force on Polio Eradication constituted to help in the fight against the disease.
He said, “today in Nigeria, seven of our teaching hospitals can do kidney transplant. This month, we are expecting International Certification Team on the Elimination of Guinea Worm in Nigeria.”

Some Nigerians, out of lack, take in things more dangerous than smoking.

Even in USA it has not been banned.
PoliticsRe: Wahab Dosumu Is Dead (Ex-NADECO Chieftain) by fuke(m): 9:51am On Jun 10, 2013
yelsew80: NADECO huh? How time flies, I remember those days when being a NADECO member commanded the status of a selfless Patriot. Who'd forget the heroics of the likes of Abraham Adesanya who stayed back in the country to take on the oppressors man to man, Alfred Rewane the brave Itsekiri millionaire who lost his life battling the despot, Alex Ibru who took hot bullets for his nation and many more distinguished and Brave Patriots. You can contrast that with the now seeming greatest beneficiary of that struggle esp with the likes of Adesanya, Funsho Williams and now Dosunmu all dead - a certain Bola Ahmed Tinubu who was among the first to piantin out of the country when the heat was turned on to become an "exiled activist" - very brave esp when you consider how he now loves this country!
RIP to the departed.
You are half correct.
The Tinubus, the then very young Fayemi and others were the foot soldiers of the Adesanyas.

They were the guerrillas on the field.

Tinubu did not become Lagos state Governor for nothing.

So also , others had to step down for Fayemi for the same reason.

Fayemi was the guy pushing Radio Kudirat about.

A lot of things happened not known to many of you people.

Tinubu has earned his respect. The NADECO people know.

PoliticsRe: CPC's Fashakin Replies Reuben Abati by fuke(m): 9:27am On May 30, 2013
Sincere 9gerian: “As a Party, we really sympathize with Abati.."- Fashakin

No sir. You should rather sympathize with yourself. Abati is giving you a dose of your own medicine since that is the only language you and your gang understand.

Abati has laid the facts bare. It was Nigeria that indicated interest to speak and the foreign affairs minister presented the country's position on behalf of the president. The president at that moment was attending to what he considered more pressing issues.

If the Fashakin and his e-warriors think reading a speech was more important than what the president did on the sidelines, that is their cup of tea. If they ever manage to find themselves in Aso Rock, they can do it their own style. But for now, GEJ rules.

If not for pettiness and JOBLESSNESS, why should whether or not the president read a speech at the AU summit be an issue? Mr president must have delivered thousands of speech by now since assuming office. The latest, I think, was during his state visit to South Africa, when he received a standing and thunderous applause after addressing the South African parliament. Mr Fashakin and his e-warriors should take their frustrations, LIES, and propaganda elsewhere
They should have asked my mother to go and present the paper then if the presenter does not matter.

I marvel at the way some guys think here. Not to know that who delivers a message matters at such level of diplomacy

I remember the speech delivered by Murtala at OAU meeting in 1975 or thereabout was supposed to be delivered by Obasanjo the no 2 man then. But because the speech was so good, Murtala Mohammed decided to deliver it himself to add more impetus. And what a glorious day for Nigeria.

Some people will need to go back to the university if they were once there.
