On a different note;

I was also wondering as to why the yoruba media didn't support the erstwhile NPC chairman, Festus Odumegwu, who promised to conduct a free and fair census. He said he would implore religion and ethnicity in the 2016 census. This would have helped the yoruba more than any other ethnic group, by exposing the lies that "Kano is more populated than Lagos". Lagos would have been established as the most populous state in nigeria, thereby receiving more allocation than kano.

Something tells me that the northerners promised the yorubas back their looting posts as soon as they (hausa/fulani) get back aso rock, if they can play along in defending this bogus census figures undecided undecided.
Just listen to yourself, do you think this forum is for juveniles? Something tells you that the northerners promised blah blah are you sane at all? So you believe you can come online and post all the rubbish that your mind tells you and pass it to us as facts?
Herd mentality is a major problem for many of you guys You claimed your corrupt princess is being victimised because of Enugu airport yet there is no evidence to support your claim.
Secondly, you came here to post rubbish about how Yoruba press failed to defend Odimegwu, did Yoruba press defend Ashiru when he was sacked by Jonathan? And since you igbos claimed to be best in everything what stops your newspapers like the Sun and Champion from doing the needful?
Lastly, next time don't come here to post rubbish about what your yeye mind tells you, if you have no facts but you feel like messing about go to the joke section where you can mingle with your fellow clowns. Yeyenatu

Slizbeat: We can all see how it is going down.

If we say "let the south unite", the yoruba's wont agree because they want monopoly and to their greatest surprise, they will be betrayed by their hausa/Northern counterpart.

Isn't it too clear to see that the North are trying to control all things except for the collective growth of Lagos??

Ever wondered why Kwankwaso should be training graduates on piloting, whether their studied course relates to it or not??

Southern Nigeria should be wise enough to decipher all these. Why now that the minister is having problems?? Why was it an hausa man that. gave the information?? Keep on playing the BMW game while they divert our attention and carry out their evil acts.
Blah blah blah blah blah blah blah grin grin grin grin grin

Naptu, if you are not a tribalist, I wish to see you on ANTI-APC and ANTI-YORUBA threads digging history and videos. OGUN STATE governor stops the ogun state speaker and official from talking to the press. I saw you view that thread and you vamoosed like wilywily. you history and youtube videos were no were to be found. On still that tinubu's iyaloja thread, did you see it or not? oh! If you don't fall in the category of these fools, you don't have to worry. These people know themselves and their posts clearly show who they are. There is no need, in my view, to name them.

PoliticsRe: Open Secret: Beware! Not Only Oduah, Many More Are In Their Crosshairs by funnyx(m): 1:41pm On Nov 02, 2013
Ngwakwe: Let it be known that Princess Stella Oduah is a politician and not the permanent secretary or director general in that ministry who may have spent 20 to 35 years in such a place and must have mastered every laid down rules and procedures over time hence she rely on these experts (DGs and Seconds) to prepare their respective budgets and map out their implementation when passed by NASS.

It should be noted that the approval came with such a clause "do the needful" thereby acknowledging various bureaucratic steps needed as the case may be.

The DG being an expert over the years should have known that the amount needed cabinet approval and come back to madam minister.

Don't crucify madam minister for acknowledging the expertise of her DGs and giving them conditional approval.
That is a very ridiculous excuse grin grin she's not a career civil servant but a politician undecided may be she has no business being a minister if she can't understand how procurement of something so expensive to the extent that it requires the approval of the FEC works.
If stella is so naive as you want us to believe then honestly she is not qualified to even manage a supermarket let alone a federal ministry.
Can stella approve such expenditure in any of her business without checking all the papers very well undecided
If a woman like Dora Akunyili could perform so much in her national assignments to the extent that even her enemies acknowledged her commitment and the US government even recognised her as well how much more is Stella who doesn't even have one quarter of the enemies that Dora had. There hasn't even been a single documented attempt on Stella's life but many want us to believe that she is battling with so many enemies.
If only we can be objective for once you'll realise that all the excuses you gave concerning this woman is nothing but an attempt of a drowning man clutching a straw.
PoliticsRe: Open Secret: Beware! Not Only Oduah, Many More Are In Their Crosshairs by funnyx(m): 12:47pm On Nov 02, 2013
Ngwakwe: What do you mean by this your comments?

I am telling you somebody sponsored and orchestrated the smuggling out of all these documents in a bid to find something that will incriminate the minister.

The whistle blowing were followed up with vilification of the minister, twisting of logics and outright lies to drag the minister to the center of the scandal instead of Joel Nkemakolam whose signatures were a testament to such criminal act "if any actually"
Oga Ngakwe, let even agree that some people are after Stella, was it these imaginary enemies that forced her to do the needful and authorise such ridiculous expenditure? Whose fault is it that she cannot even present these highly priced vehicles to the house of rep committee but rather fake ones with different chasis numbers?
In this life you'll always have enemies even when you're only minding your business so how will stella's case be different? And why must govt business of such be conducted in secret anyway? Purchasing such expensive vehicles should not and cannot be categorised as one of those activities that must be done in secret so as not to undermine security. Therefore your argument of about some enemies within 'smuggling' what normally should be a public document holds no water.
I know Stella is not the only corrupt govt official but she is the one that failed to cover her track on this occasion and has been caught out so there's nothing wrong if she is hanged out to dry.

PoliticsRe: Open Secret: Beware! Not Only Oduah, Many More Are In Their Crosshairs by funnyx(m): 9:31am On Nov 02, 2013
Ngwakwe: @Naptu

I'm in support of the probe but will never take blame for criticising the manner she has been vilified by the media and social media activists that amounted to character assassination.

The news of N120m kickback and now she is being accused of sleeping with Mr President as the cause of her divorce.

There should be rules of engagement and responsible reporting by our news media/tabloids.

I will always give it to Channels TV anyday, anytime. What a professional outfit they are - excellent performance, investigative reporting and presentation of both sides of any given argument etc.
Oga Ngakwe, there is no vilification by press, the press can write whatever they like as their reports alone can't convict her. Also if she feel aggrieved that her image is being slandered I'm sure she is educated enough to know that she can sue. So my Ngakwe just tell us why you're so concerned about a federal minister? Do you work for her or related to her? Abi you're defending her because she is ibo or you believed like many others that she's being vilified because of enugu airport? This woman is a public official and she's rich and educated enough to defend herself so what motivates poster like you to defend her if not because she is ibo?
The press has always reported cases of public officials from Bankole to Farouk etc how many of these reports results in conviction? So how is Stella's case going to be different? Is it not going to be swept under the carpet as usual? But all the same as citizens of Nigeria it is our right to be informed because without press this issue wouldn't have seen the light of the day.
PoliticsRe: Open Secret: Beware! Not Only Oduah, Many More Are In Their Crosshairs by funnyx(m): 9:18am On Nov 02, 2013
naptu2: My brother, I was preparing a longer response, but I'll keep it short because there are other issues that require my time.

It is the job of the media to probe and prod. They will ask all kinds of questions. That's their duty as the fourth estate of the realm. I was going to provide many examples to buttress this point. From Herbert Macaulay's Daily News saying that the colonial government planned to bomb Eleko's car, to Tai Solarin's "Beginning of The End Publication", to the story about Maryam Babangida's alleged boutique in France, to stories of Tinubu owning everything in Lagos, to stories of Abacha burying a cow, to Fashola's alleged deportation, to Dangote and Gilbert Chagoury being fronts for Abacha, etc. This has always been the case and it won't change, why do you expect it to be different now?

People talk about "South-west media". These outlets are only based in Lagos because it was the capital and home to their favourite target, the government. I had planned to itemise the owners of these outlets, so that you'll show many how many are owned by Yorubas. The two lead outlets in this story have very little, if anything to do with the south-west or yorubas. Sahara Reporters is owned by Sowore, an Apoi Ijaw from Ondo (have you seen the video where sowore confronted Fashola? Have you seen his pictures of Yar'Adua's son? Why do you expect him to do anything different now?) and is based in New York. Premium Times is owned by a man from Kano and is based in Abuja.

What I'm against is the call that nobody should ask questions, or nobody should say anything. The questions have come from all over the world, why single out the south-west? (Even Cosmas Maduka said that he got a call from the US Embassy, with people asking him why he is now involved in money laundering. Is the US against Enugu Airport?)

The fact is that, what everybody should be calling for is an independent, fair and open investigation. It would clear her if she is innocent and convict her if she is guilty.

Fabian Osuji's lawyer issued an objection, that President Obasanjo made a national broadcast, that would make his client appear guilty, even though he has not been convicted in court. The judge threw out the objection, saying that no sane judge would be swayed by national broadcasts. Do you think that media clamour can convict her if she is innocent? How many nigerians have media allegations, which have not been proven in court, hanging over their heads? Why should this be different? I hope you realise that this case has international dimensions? I expect the US to also launch an investigation to determine if US companies unfairly lost a government contract. Do you think that the investigators will be swayed by media reports if those reports are false and are not backed by evidence?
Absolutely brilliant response!

ROSSIKE: Why don't some of you dunces read and research before coming online to type ignorant, beer parlour rubbish?

The Nigerian economy is diversifying at its fastest rate since the discovery of oil. The annual rise in GDP is attributed mostly to the growth in the non oil sector - telecoms, banking, retail, agriculture, construction and manufacturing.

EVERYONE WITH EVEN A MODICUM OF KNOWLEDGE OF THE NIGERIAN ECONOMY KNOWS THIS, yet we still have people like you coming online typing ignorant, outdated nonsense.

There was a big discovery off Brazillian coast also recently, in no time oil will be worthless. Countries like UAE and Qatar are already diversifying their economy while Nigeria is using hers to destroy nature and wasting their resources like a prodigal son.

FFK's case is in the court and he's even the begging your incompetent govt to prosecute him quickly grin grin so when shall we see madam do the needful in court? As for your claim about Sahara reporters, it is not their fault if more PDP politicians are soiling their hands in the mud of corruption. Their job is to report news so don't expect them to keep mute if there are news to report, it's like asking you not to go to work. Also they have reported several news against Tinubu (his shut down of Lagos recently), Aregbesola and even Pastor Adeboye ao there nothing selective about their reporting, its not their fault if your beloved politicians keep putting themselves in the news.

Ngwakwe, though may be Ibo, was neutral in his post. He pointed out both those who are supporting Oduah and those crucifying her before trial.

He is simply pointing out how that we are not a nation and at such corruption can never be conquered.

If the culprit was to be APC, I'm sure the supporters will simply switch sides and views.

Like I keep saying, you don't need more reasons to support a National Conference.
Shut up your dirty mouth you dirty goat, who is wicked between me and you? Is it you that have sold your conscience and the future of your generation for a bowl of porridge and bootylicking just to get your daily bread or me that have no allegiance to any politician?

Ngwakwe: I appreciate the effort of the originator of this thread which has helped in not only exposing the bias, cruelty and motives inherent in personal, sectional and ethnocentric interests above that of the country when issues that border on justice and fair hearing during trial of perceived friend or foe is on the burner.

Some say crucify her before hearing from her having judged and condemned her with incomplete information of what transpired under her ministry while behaving like lynching mobs while the second group are all out for her defence no matter the outcome of the investigation of the alleged abuse of office and/or corruption as the case may be.

The summary of its all is, Nigerians are not a people and will only prosper if the interest of every region is considered and adjustments are made to accommodate everyone in the interest of justice, equality, merit and the rule of law.
So the interest of your region is to milk us dry and empty the treasury? Abi wetin be your interest gan?
The emboldened are wild accusations and you should be better than that. However, on other points you raised that are relevant to Oduah's case I would say that I have no verifiable facts to reach any conclusions and that, my friend, is the crux of the matter. We dont have facts, all we have is Sahara said this, kinsman said that. We should not absolve or condem until our justice system makes a pronouncement. How hard is that? I ask that you go and check punch news since this Oduah thing came to light and tell me if what they're doing is remotely professional.

Like I said, I don't have any verifiable facts on Oduah but if you do then furnish us with them. I will not join the unholy noise to destroy someone until the person is found guilty. Go back and check my posts in NL you'll see that I've never advocated jungle prosecution, even to Boko Haram members, so I will not begin today. Thank you.
Dude, seriously what is your point? You keep complaining about Lagos press and their unprofessional way of reporting the incident, please tell us what is professional. Should they have kept quiet and forget what type of biz they do which is reporting news simply because this case involves one untouchable princess?
Do you know what it means to be a public official? Public officials are subjected to public scrutiny so how do you expect stella's case to be different?
If you want to be a devil's advocate you should at least try to put your points forward with facts and precedence if there is any rather than mere conspiracy theories.
If the Lagos press has 'vilified' as you claim why is she not in prison by now? You want the press to keep mute about an issue that affect our commonwealth just to appeal to the emotions of people from her ethnic groups.
Please do the honourable by confirming what we already know that you and your ilk support corruption as long as the perpetrators are igbos, there is no need to beat about the bush.
