Hello nairaland, I was wondering if i can make a plea to nairaland.com to create a new section for Photos. Yes we have the travel section but that seems to be more for discussion of travel rather than photos. that is why im proposing a new section for photography. Whats going to be in the new section. Photos of nigerian cities, post your pic (photos of nairalanders), each nairalander can create there own photo topic, construction project photos, guess the city/celebrity. Youtube video and comments etc. |

davidylan: because MEND is using guerrilla warfare. they basically attack you quickly or from a distance and then run back into the jungle and hide among the innocent civilians in the villages. thats why its taking so long to defeat them. example look at the U.S.A. The war on terror is about ten years old now, reason, guerrilla warfare. if the U.S.A. didn't care about civilian casualties, they could just storm the middle east and have victory by sunset. same with the nigeria. these groups know that they are up against an unstoppable opponent so that why the fight guerrilla style, using civilians as a shield. |

omar22:"abuja stadium" is different from the Millennium stadium in wales. the millennium stadium in wales cost $121m @ 75 capacity yes that is true. but it is only 1 building. the "Abuja stadium" is a sports complex consisting of many buildings and arenas. thats why the cost is around $360 million. the Abuja stadium complex consist of a main bowl, velodrome arena, Olympic swimming pools, basketball arenas, hokey fields, soccer fields, and a host of other buildings and sport centers. the reason why Abuja stadium has so many buildings was because it hosted the 2003 all african games, in which multiple sports venues were built. so it was not a case of corruption. once again wales stadium is 1 building and abuja stadium complex is multiple buildings and fields. |

the picture (2) that beaf showed is [color=Black]NOT [/color]aso rock villa. that is a building on the aso rock complex but not the villa it self (could be something like a police or medical building, not sure). the way abuja masterplan was design is not the same as Washington's masterplan. unlike washington, abuja designed its government complexes so that it does [color=Black]NOT [/color]interact with the public. the reason is for security. it is easy to maintain a high level of security when the public is not in view/ interacting. nigeria is not the only country that does this, many other countries do the same. also I'm not really sure, but a while back I read state documents that say they might build a new presidential complex, in side the three armed zone were the old presidential complex is, looking of millennium park |
