A Nigerian lady, Patience Sopuru Davidson who is a caregiver in the United Arab Emirates was reportedly handed a jail sentence for alleged negligence.

A Twitter user @Chetexxx5 , who claimed to be a family member disclosed this to Dubai Police on Monday, November 14, 2022.

According to Chetaxxx5, her younger sister who works as a caregiver at Al Ain Center for Care and Rehabilitation Center of Disabled in Abu Dhabi, was sentenced to one month in jail for overstaying in the bathroom which led to one of her students cutting his ear.

Sopuru was to be released on October 15, 2022 but they have not heard from her since then.

We should learn to read our employment contract very well, before accepting job offers, it may not be stated there you will be sent to jail, but if anything happens, legal actions will be taken against you which may lead to jail terms if you cant justify your actions, what we should be talking is was she given a fair hearing ? Did she get s legal representation?

This People are only taking advantage of our negligence, lets learn to study our terms and condition before going into any contract

I wish to call upon the Federal government to immortalize the name of the first Minister of Finance in Nigeria, late Chief Festus Okotie- Eboh who was from a minority area, by putting his photograph in any denomination of the Nigerian Currency.

The reason for this is not far-fetched. It was he that changed the colonial currency, which was jointly operated, by the British colonies of West Africa in 1958. As the first finance minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, he effected the new currency and coins bearing the title "Federation of Nigeria into circulation in 1959. Another area that he spearheaded during his tenure as Minister of Finance was the establishment of the Central bank of the country in 1958.

I believe that being the first indigenous Finance Minister of this country, he is the most qualified person to be engraved on the Nigerian currency for he created it. He initiated the Bill for the establishment of the Central Bank of Nigeria and announced the appointment of Mr. H.P Penton as the Governor of the apex bank. Except of course there is a grand conspiracy to deprive him of his due because he happens to have come from a minority ethnic group, there is no reason under the sun why he should not be immortalized like his contemporaries.

Suffice it to say that it was he who established Nigeria Stock Exchange and work for the admission of Nigeria as a full member of the International Financial institutions namely,
1. the International Monetary Fund ( IMF),
2. The International Finance Corporation and
3. International Bank for Reconstruction and Development ( IBRD).

It is therefore tragic that despite all these, not a single of these institutions buildings is named after him or his photograph in any of the denominations of Nigeria’s currency just because he is from a minority area of the country. Many of his contemporaries have been immortalized severally. Some of their portraits were engraved on the national currency; while others have an institution name after them.

A secondary school was named after him in Delta State, Okotie-Eboh Grammar School

Where was the mother, does the child belongs to the domestic Staff. The parents are to blame, for not protecting their child from this.

Chioma should continue exposing her boobs around instead taking of her child. And people are there looking for this children, you have one you can not tend to the child well the parents should be brought in for questioning also they built the swimming pool with adequate safety measures in place knowing too well there's a child in the house.

There was no bond signed that they must work for Nigerian Government, especially when their parents toiled to train them, you expect them to continue with this government that would owe them and not pay them salaries.

They are free to work anywhere they choose, if the government want to keep them pay them with they would be paid abroad, we have the money, instead of paying them well they prefer the money is stolen by politicians.

Its not really a death sentence, if you are consistent with the drugs after a year or there about you may test negative, or even less, and there is even a new drug you take just twice a year. But you need to be careful. 75% of Nigerian girl are carrying one infection from either toilet or sex .

What this means for Wike is that he would be relegated to local politician, because will win all other positions from Governor, HOA, HOR and Senate.

People should not come here and say Rivers people rejected him, the only state that can match Rivers state in terms of Infrastructure is Akwa Ibom state, what has he done to be rejected. I tire for una.

I dont think Wike will stop anyone from Voting their choice of candidates, but what I see Wike doing is that he would not move an inch for Atiku or Okowa, which is what he should have done without all this drama, because I don't see them making any changes as regard the PDP chairmanship position.

Honestly, I really need urgent advise as I can't have access to my apartment or to my wife again. As her twin sister moved in to my small apartment with her 4 kids and loads of clothes and some other luggages. Therefore, no single space left in my parlour to sit or leave again.

I am mentally stress with what am passing through now. For 2 weeks now, I can't sleep in a small house am managing with my wife and our 4 kids too.

The issue at hand is not even about apartment alone but also of feeding.
Now, before now, my wife used to manage 2500 to feed all of us for breakfast alone. But now, she barely manage 6000 every morning.
Thereby, increase daily expenses on food to like 14-16k daily depends on my pocket.
And the funny thing is that, both the sisters are not working so as to at least support with something.

For now, am managing to pass night in my shop, but twice in a day they will send my first child to my shop to fetch money for food. Am really tire. I am just a bloody welder.
I don't know how to take care of these migrants going forward.

My wife can't drive away her twins sister by herself, am also too timid to drive them because of human feeling in me. Pls what do I do. I really need help and serious advise from fellow Nigerian and non- Nigerian.

Its s very pathetic situation, but you can't bite more than you can chew, I understand you wife needs to support her twin sister, but she has to be financially viable to do that, they are not your responsibilities, neither that of your wife.

But you need to sit with your wife to discuss on the way forward, how long the sister intend to stay ? what are her plans for the future ? because at some point it needs to be discussed, you cant run away from your house forever. And its wicked for both sister to just sit and depend on your, cant they look for something to do, there are little business they can start to at least support, fry akara, make moi moi and sell, the matter tire me seriously

Our Government has to meet the UAE authorities half way and resolve this issues lots of Nigerians are suffering out here and some will say come back home, come back home to what? where are the jobs in Nigeria? One opening that will receive over 100k applications.

Those were the questions that flooded my mind too, as this same disaster occured in 2012, but after that, the government did not do a review of that tragic incident so that lessons will be learnt from it and also to forestall a repeat of the same tragedy, as it's happening now.
It's possible that the failure of government to act can be traced to lapses in the functions of institutions like NEMA, Institute of Marine and Oceanography etc as a proper report on the 2012 disaster should have been submitted to the executive arm of government to act on it; it's also possible that the above reports were made, but inertia on the part of the executive has caused the report to be placed in a dusty cupboard somewhere in the government archives.

If you asked you will be shocked to know there's a report and recommendations, but trust our government they will not act on the report

A Nigerian man who called out an Instagram slay queen for failing to visit him after booking a flight for her has given an update.

He said that he got his lawyer involved and has reported the case to the police for them to handle appropriately.
Recall that he had vowed to get her arrested if she fails to return the transport fare after she redirected the flight and went to see another guy.

In a fresh video posted online, the guy said he does not want any trouble but he is willing to use police to retrieve his money.
According to him, people have been advising that he uses charm, but he is a child of God and wants to resolve the matter through the legal route.
He also vowed to get the money back even if he has to spend N1million on legal services and others.

When something is bad will should condemn it and and not trying to act smart. If you know you would not visit why ask him to book a flight for you and you now redirect it to see another guy. It has nothing to do with if the guy is broke or not. Now he is asking for his money back, kindly return it or ask the guy you visited to pay.

You're lucky he came online to ask for it, what about if he kept quiet and decided to go diabolical, people would start say see a fine girl gone mad not knowing she brought it upon herself, ladies stop collecting monies or gifts from guys you would not date.

Planting of trees in this situation can't prevent flooding, up north in desert areas that will be helpful in areas with very high wind storms
