PoliticsRe: Major Economic Achievements Of Goodluck Jonathan Administration by GARRIx7(m): 9:34pm On Jan 24, 2013
On February 13 2012, President Goodluck Jonathan launched the Public Works Women and Youth Empowerment Programme, an intervention programme designed to employ 370,000 youths in the year 2012

What a shame!

What a disgrace!!

This confirms the opinion many have about Goodluck Jonathan as one very corrupt, inept, naïve and irresponsible leader.

Even with the so-called video evidence, they've been foot-dragging in prosecuting the THIEF. Only a corrupt coward like Jonathan would tolerate such..

That's what even the market woman knows, so nothing special or new in her submission. Its only interesting to note that she's Ijaw, just like GEJ so no one can say its borne out of tribal or religious sentiments...

pimp_lucious :
Nigeria, where are we headed?

I am confronted by two contrasting pictures in today's Vanguard Newspaper.

Picture 1 on Page 13: GOVERNOR Martin Elechi of Eboyin State does a near back-breaking bend to greet PASTOR Adeboye who was visiting his office.

Picture 2 on Page 39:
ALAAFIN OYO, Iku baba yeye, Alase igbakeji Orisa, OBA Adeyemi does a slight BEND to greet GOVERNOR Amosun of Ogun (who stood straight like IROKO TREE) who was visiting his palace.

Who is fooling who?
Where are the pictures, or at least a link??

PoliticsRe: Objectively List The Sins Of The President by GARRIx7(m): 9:14am On Jan 23, 2013
1. Jonathan is corrupt (hence his inability to meaningfully fight corruption in Nigeria)

2. High level of profligacy

3. His foot-dragging in prosecuting the sponsors of Boko haram

I'll be back to add more!!!

1oracle: Why not answer the question instead of beating around the bush? let me quote it again just in case if you didn't see it clearly at the first glance.

When last i checked, No action have been taken on hausa/fulani herdsmen who on several occasions took their cows into Edo peoples farms and even kill anyone who dare oppose them.
If you are sincere to yourself, you will know that hausas are above the law especially in Nigeria.
The question you should be asking is:

DID THEY DISOBEY THE LAW OF THE LAND?? If they did then they should face the music.... PERIOD!!!
PoliticsRe: Traders Protest In Benin, Calls For Maj.loye’s Sack by GARRIx7(m): 9:11pm On Jan 21, 2013
confusion247: Be sincere and answer this question. If it was hausas that is in that market, will Maj.Loye close it as he did now?
What's bringing Hausas into this issue??

Must you view everything from a tribal perspective??

Hausas aren't above the law so yes, they will be punished if they break the law... PERIOD!!

Are Igbo traders the only ones who were punished for disobedience??

Why have they refused to do the right thing??

Why did they put refuse in the drains??

Isn't it wickedness on the part of the traders??

Stop whining and obey simple laws OR go back to your village...
PoliticsRe: Traders Protest In Benin, Calls For Maj.loye’s Sack by GARRIx7(m): 6:54pm On Jan 21, 2013
the shops were locked up because the owners refused to obey the sanitation laws of the state which resulted to the blockage of the drains constructed by the state government along Mission Road.
I wonder why these people expect that they'll get away with disregard for law and order..

store owners or the landlords have used dirts to block the drainage system which was only constructed six months ago.
After spending lots of money on infrastructure, these traders believe they can destroy these facilities and go scot-free. Obey the law of ur host or go back to YOUR VILLAGE!!

“The accredited waste managers were around but the shop owners refused to pack up the waste to enable the waste managers take themaway. Until they come here and sign an undertaking that they will keep the area neat the shops will remain closed. We are expecting rains now so we cannot afford to use refuse to block the drains. Government spent money to build these things for the good of the people therefore we will not tolerate any attempt not to comply with the state sanitation laws” he declared.
The Perm. Sec got this right, Laws must be obeyed!!
PoliticsRe: Construction Equipment In Delta State by GARRIx7(m): 6:12pm On Jan 21, 2013
Despite collecting Hundreds of Billion annually, Uduaghan still insists (with the support of Goodluck Jonathan) on impoverishing the Good people of Delta State.

His objective is simply to enrich himself and his evil cronies while the people continue to wallow in squalor and wretchedness.

The judgement of God shall come swiftly on him and all those who have ambushed the growth and progress of this great State..

[s]Bear in mind he practically had to start from scratch since yenagoa the capital was nothing to write home about.
Its quite unfortunate that you derive pleasure in insulting such a "nice guy" and I'm also not an advocate for anybody but when you're in an argument, its advisable to state facts and not sentiments. Thank you[/s]
So he didn't commission a single project when he was a governor!!!

And most of the projects you claim he started were actually started by Alams...

@OP: Obj was reported to have made the statement in relation to Okorocha's failed attempt to contest for the Presidency...

I don't see how that makes Rochas a failure and its a wrong analogy to use in trying to evaluate the verity (or lack of) of Achebe's assertion about Igbos...

PoliticsRe: Obi Promises N5m For Information On Bodies In Ezu River by GARRIx7(m): 10:10pm On Jan 20, 2013

Waving 5m to people to lure them to volunteer information is an intellectually lazy approach..
