Not 'living' with her literally...But my point is; we all manage to maintain cordial relationships with inlaw's we don't like! There's always that in-law you don't like, but do you stop talking to your brother or sister because of him/her? But then; it's your choice! God forbid I stop talking to my brother or sister because of their spouse as far as they didn't choose my husband for meundecided

You don't have a full understanding of a woman. You will be in a good time with your family members but the moment you marry a wife, trouble will start. I have seen a lot of men that abandoned their parents because of their wives. Some married women r selfish, they only think of themselves n their family members. They don't like anything good associated with their husband's relatives. A woman can make a man forget his family, believe me, a man needs to be a man sometimes to correct a woman that's misleading him.

Gabon did the same thing in the first leg on Friday, forcing Gambia to play without one of their key player

How many minutes will it take them to conduct covid 19 test on highest 25 people? We r not serious in Africa.

You don't need to rush to make a hasty decision on this because many 'strange' things happen in a marriage that requires wisdom and patience. I began to realize some things recently when I got married which made me conclude that Marriage is full of strange and peculiar situations. Since my marriage late last year, my tolerance, patience, forbearance have increased. I have been to a point of raising my hand to hit her but I deployed caution and restraint. There is no issue or circumstance in a marriage that surpasses the use of patience and wisdom.

Back to the issue at hand, call your wife and inquire why she decided to embark on the journey without your permission. if she gives you a convincing response, please let it slide down like that. Anybody that tells you to come hard on your wife just wants to destabilize your happy home. If your wife's reason is reasonable to some extent, you have to accept her and just warn her not to take the unilateral decision again.

I have been confronted with issues more serious than this. My wife and I are still together better and stronger. There is no perfect man or woman.

We are just managing ourselves

I am over 10 years in that institution n there r many people that r above that n also below it but I tell u the above advice is one of the best for you. This behaviour is more peculiar to our Christian women than the Muslim counterpart. I don't know what is given our women that courage, it is absolutely wrong.

How many people are taking the exam? That's the first question.

Let's say 5,000,000 pupils are taking the exam and each printed paper cost 1,000.
That's 5,000,000,000

Are you sure the three billion naira will be enough?

But remember that candidates pay for these Exams. So, what r these examination body doing with the registration fees, that government has to sink such billions for the printing of question papers. Our government will never change.

I am not a Kwaran but I reside there for now. The present governor in Kwara is more open n straightforward in terms of leadership. The guy is doing well n his focus now should be increasing the civil servants salaries n creating job opportunities for his people. He is trying seriously speaking with the limited resources from the State.

From ENDSARS you now want to ENDFUTURE of the young generations.

Stop obstructing them from writing their exams.

Nonsense.

Bro, End Sars protest is better than the Exam for now. What's the need of graduating or writing the exam in a shattered economy filled with corrupt leaders in the helm of affairs. Freedom for better life first before anything follows.

12 kinds of people protesting EndSars
1. PDP members and supporters.

2. Relatives of those President Buhari probe and eventually jailed.

3. Those who are paid by opposition party.

4. Those who see it as an opportunity to wake their dead music career.

5. Those who are being pressurized by others to join.

6. Yahoo boys and girls.

7. Cultists.

8. Those who see it as an opportunity to see or meet their favorite celebrities physically.

9. Those who chase clout.

10. Those who see it as an opportunity to steal people's phone.

11. Those who go there to look for husbands.

12 Those who go there to toast ladies.

You r not from Kaduna, stop spreading lies n misleading people. Kaduna is divided along religious ground. Majority of those on the street protesting r from Christian dominated areas, most of the Muslims in the North will not come out because their son a fellow Muslim is in power. If the president was a Christian from the North or a Christian from another part of the country, you could have seen a huge protest coming from the North.

Buhari is not a Twitter president. If you're tired of his leadership, then leave his country.

You're unfollowing someone that's only following 26 world leaders. They'll all follow him back whenever they're in their right state of mind.

We all make mistakes.

Point of correction, Nigeria belongs to Nigerians, not Buhari because the people voted for him to be there n they equally have the right to use every right channel to protest his incompetent or even call for his removal. I don't advice Nigerians to leave but to stay n save their country from the grip of bad leadership.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: State Civil Service Job Or Multinational Company Job? Which One Is Advisable? by gbagyiza: 2:39pm On Sep 24, 2020
SeedofAbraham:
Good morning Nairalanders,

I've been having sleepless night recently as I've been confused in decision making due to the fact that I'm not well experienced about Job matters.

I presently got an offer at a State Public Service with GL 8 Salary Scale of 63k+ monthly (though it's poor) but with rest assured constant Promotion every 3 years subject to success in Promotion Exercise. There's also hope that in the next 18 years, I'll get to the Directorate levels (GL 15 - 17) where the Pay Structure seems better with Jumbo rise compared to the poor salary structure of GL 7 - 14... Meaning that I'll have to endure till then before enjoyment start coming. Please note that in addition to Promotion every 3 years, this State Public Service don't owe workers salary as they pay in due time as we all know that Public Service has Job Security. Also, I hope by God's Grace that I become a Permanent Secretary if I decide to choose this path while enduring the Salary (I can switch to Federal Parastatals if the Job Offer comes up later though).

On the other hand, I'm about to get a Full-time Staff offer from a Multinational Company (Headquarter is based in the US) with more than 120k Salary for a start. There are Career growth and the chance of living comfortably & enjoying life is cool compared to the State Public Service in terms of Salary. We all know that Private Organisations can decide to lay off workers at any time as there's no Job Security. Also, I don't know if Multinational Companies usually lay off only Contract Staff or they can decide to lay off Permanent Staff as well... Though, the Multinational Company have a Pension Scheme for their Staff & didn't lay off workers during this COVID-19 Pandemic as they were operating during the lockdown since they provide essential services.

I wasn't born & brought up with a Silver Spoon and I never pray to struggle in life henceforth as Poverty must die. I'm a Second Class Upper graduate with proven abilities and outstanding performance as I'm a Problem Solver.

I need the assistance of experienced Nairalanders as your advice and point of views with detailed explanations will be highly appreciated.

First, let me advise you that don't depend on your grade in school because our system here doesn't reward excellent academic performance. Your dilemma in selecting which of the job to go for, I strongly advise that you go for the state civil service job reason is that the pay difference is not much n in the private driven sector you can be easily laid off as we saw during the COVID 19 period. And you can easily have time to further your studies n run a business while working with the government. I could have advised that you go for the multinational job if the starting salary was around 250k n above.
