Politics / Re: Buhari May Be Disqualify From 2015 Presidential Campaign by Gbawe2: 9:20pm On Dec 30, 2014 |
You enemies of Nigeria's progress can continue fooling yourselves. He was not disqualified from running in 2011 and 2007 yet now that the political pendulum and the electorate has fully swung behind him, under the powerful APC platform, corrupt bastards and cowards are talking of "disqualification". Let PDP try it. We know they use the institutions of Nigeria partisanly but this one is non-negotiable and no wuru wuru will be allowed by a people eager to boot the ultra-corrupt GEJ out of Aso rock. Buhari has already won the 2015 Presidential election. The daily lies, empty threats, fear and desperation emanating from the PDP shows this. 6 Likes |

These lies make Buhari and Osinbajo more popular and harden the resolve of Nigerians to vote for them and usher in change. They take Nigerians for fools yet fail to understand that even a child will question why a ruling government that has had five years in charge, when elections are upon us, can only limit itself to lying against GMB and Osinbajo instead of blowing Nigerians away with evidence of what they have done for Nigerians while in charge. The Government of GEJ is shameless and ultra-callous. I laugh at the misguided Nigerians who are trying tag Buhari with infamy when they are supporters of a President who has directly and indirectly caused the death of at least 20,000 Nigerians as a very conservative estimate. It will be a tragedy if GEJ is defeated by anything other than a landslide victory for the opposition because a sound electoral thrashing is the only thing that can show the world that Nigerians are not aberrant and/or mad. The Universe has seen Nigeria's President , to the shame of Nigeria, become the personification of worthless, grossly inadequate, hideously corrupt and entirely anti-people leadership. Even the world beyond Nigeria and Africa wants change for Nigeria. 8 Likes |

SupremeTeam: No. It is you and yours digging your own graves with your ethnocentric and clannish stance which seeks to proscribe the freedom of others to associate with and vote for any Nigerian they want. The elections will come and go but what will not be forgotten in a hurry is the ethno-religious prejudice certain regions of Nigeria have displayed brazenly and without shame for the entire duration of the GEJ Presidency. No region can produce the President on its own. What is now certain is that some regions will find it virtually impossible in the near future to gain the support of others to do so since they have now openly shown their hatred, intolerance and complete lack of goodwill for other major Nigerian ethnic groups. Go and worry about yourself and your people because the Yorubas will be very okay today, tomorrow and forever in Nigeria since it is an ethnic group that consistently shows it is able to view national issues dispassionately and progressively while rising above ethno-religious prejudice you are obviously guilty of. "Gambaris" are Nigerians also who constitutionally enjoy the right to vote and be voted for regardless of what bigots like you think. 1 Like |

omenka: Bro, remember we have been down this road many times in the past years? GEJ's Government is not viewed as the most divisive and dishonest in the history of Nigeria for no reason. Our President and all his handlers thrive on dividing Nigerians along ethnic and religious lines so that team GEJ profits from the mess ensuing. Worked for a while, to leave Nigeria horribly divided, but Nigerians are now wise to the tactics of Omokri et al and this is why many are rising up to burst the propaganda immediately it launched by the desperate minions of our discredited President. Would 99.9% of Presidents on earth not have sacked Omokri for his unacceptably shameful actions , revealed below, which brought disrepute on the Presidency? It is development like that exposed below which has shown Nigerians that GEJ fully approves of all the divisive and polarising antics of his foot soldiers. Earlier in the year, Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, sent out documents in the name of a certain Wendell Simlin trying to associate former Central Bank Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi of being behind Boko Haram. 1 Like |

Now that the manifesto is trending, even as it has existed as far back as when they made their silly calls to see the APC manifesto, they must find a new criticism or excuse to continue putting the APC down. WhiteTechnology: Amazing how many Nigerians who go out of their way to make out they are educated can be guilty of the most ethnocentric, undemocratic, incoherent and senseless postulations once political leadership is the topic of discussion. Do you, as an educated man, know how all sovereign nations operate and do you know the total control the elected leader of such nations enjoys to administer the wealth of the nation on behalf of the people who gave said leaders the electoral majority mandate to act on their behalf? I doubt it from your crudely bigoted talk. Your education is of no use when you automatically revert to clannish villager mode to suggest that Buhari, as President of Nigeria, is forbidden from using oil wealth, constitutionally owned by the entire sovereign Nigeria, simply because he is not from the ND region. You need to grow up and stop talking like a lawless criminal, crude anarchist and empty secessionist. Separate Nigeria first legally and officially then clannish elements like you can speak as senselessly as you want. Until then, all elected Presidents of Nigeria, mandated through majority votes to act for Nigerians, will control every corner, every strength and every income of Nigeria to the glory of our nation. As simple as that and your caveman rants cannot change that reality which has prevailed since 1999 for all Presidents whether from the SW (OBJ), the North (Yar Adua) or the ND itself (Jonathan). |

How dare you then insinuate their existence on NL is Buhari-centred? Did they join NL exclusively because of Buhari? It is clannish, ethnocentric, religiously biased , sectional prejudiced and downright sentimental. In short supporters of GEJ should stop wasting their own time with these silly threads. How is such a person in a position to demand that he or any like him be trusted with power in a multicultural society where it is terribly important for leaders to have a sense of equity to all who live within the State regardless of their ethnic origin? Look at his past post to see the duplicity most Yorubas have now seen through and are not predisposed to indulging. rosebowl01: This is spot on and I have made this point many times. Even Nigerian immigrants to the UK gain influential political and public office by relating well with others they met on the ground in their adopted Country. You will never get far in public leadership, anywhere in the word, if you make it obvious you despise your host, have no interest in respecting them and prefer to remain perpetually locked in a sentimental and vainglorious battle of supremacy with them. What profit is to be gained from the 24/7 demonization of an ethnic group, sentiments and prejudice aside, that is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential in Africa let alone Nigeria? Nothing would benefit Igbos more, because of their nomadic nature, than a dedication to respecting others and making an effort to get on with them instead of remaining obsessed with viewing others disdainfully, fighting them over civil war 'hangover' vendetta and proclaiming fictitious superiority over them day in day out. When, 24/7 and virtually all year long, you do things counter-productive to earning the trust of others why then begin complaining only at election times of 'marginalisation' without taking into consideration your divisive action for most of the year that got you where you are? Frustrating how some, like the poster you quoted, cannot see and factor-in what is glaringly obvious as per the majority contributions of Igbos to the predicament they find themselves in. I really don't understand what this group wants to achieve with this 'blackmail' letter. We are less than two months away from the elections. What exactly will this achieve when candidates for all political positions have emerged already and nothing can now be reversed or amended? The fact is that Igbos always have the choice of getting involved to use their claimed numerical and economic advantage to make things happen for themselves. Begging for what you claim to have the numbers and wealth to gain automatically is pathetic to me. To the best of my knowledge APGA is not banned from presenting candidates for any elective position in Lagos. Why not do so and win elections with your "majority population" and then begin to gain a foothold in Lagos politics instead of this pathetic grovelling predicated on childish blackmail? Why are these time-wasters writing the APC when they should simply pledge their "majority population" and "we control Lagos economy" wealth to the current Lagos APGA Igbo guber candidate? Would it not be a done deal if they did that and supported Okoroji ? Also, how many Parties are doing anything different to the APC for this deluded group to be issuing not-so-subtle threats to the APC? How many elective political positions did the PDP give to Igbo candidates in Lagos for the 2015 elections? Labour nko? Despite some Igbos even turning the PDP into default Igbo Party, to then begin expecting that Agbaje would announce an Igbo as his deputy Governor, what eventually happened? Did Agbaje not ignore the Igbos , despite many Igbos bragging they had the numbers to help him depose the APC, to nominate a Yoruba moslem? This group should urge Igbos to vote PDP or any other Party of their choice because the APC has presented their candidates to INEC for the upcoming elections and childish blackmail will not change that. No one believes the "majority population" or "we control the economy" noise some Igbos make 24/7 yet never take up the chance to prove when they have the perfect opportunity to do so. Therefore no one takes the empty and attention-seeking blackmail of this group seriously. The tone of the letter is sentimental and banal while the request made within it is asinine and highly unreasonable. 22 Likes |

Folks like her have never been exposed to civilised society and are only aware of the 'Nigerian way' which is always about a small group of people accumulating massive wealth at the expense of the majority. In most nations of the world, you do not become rich automatically because you are a General in the Army or a former head of State. Those positions requires exemplary focus and dedication to duty which tends to rule out any chance of opportunist wealth acquisition for dedicated leaders. The belief of lofty office = stupendous wealth only holds true in Nigeria because our nation is a morally warped geographical space where many abuse influential positions to make themselves hideously rich to the detriment of the populace. This is why Nigeria is a mess today to the extent something as fundamental as electricity, taken for granted in most nations of the world, remains a luxury in Nigeria today. It beggars belief that some Nigerians can claim Buhari did wrong for not abusing his lofty office in the army and in governance to emerge stupendously rich as other like IBB, OBJ, Danjuma et al managed. Buhari did the right thing at every stage and as a principled man devoted to duty and service above materialism. The man is consumed with delivering a better Nigeria. He has never told anyone he is a business guru , like Dangote,or an oil bloc profiteer like Danjuma et al. In many Countries of the world you will find outstanding professionals and men/women of integrity who contributed immensely to the advancement of humanity and are happy to live on a pension in their latter years. Money never meant anything to those people. Buhari is in that category. His proven ability and commitment to fighting for a Nigeria that works for ordinary Nigerians, and not the private jet Oligarchs, is what has endeared him to sensible Nigerians currently. 2 Likes |
