Politics / Re: Buhari May Be Disqualify From 2015 Presidential Campaign by Gbawe2: 9:20pm On Dec 30, 2014
You enemies of Nigeria's progress can continue fooling yourselves. He was not disqualified from running in 2011 and 2007 yet now that the political pendulum and the electorate has fully swung behind him, under the powerful APC platform, corrupt bastards and cowards are talking of "disqualification".

Let PDP try it. We know they use the institutions of Nigeria partisanly but this one is non-negotiable and no wuru wuru will be allowed by a people eager to boot the ultra-corrupt GEJ out of Aso rock. Buhari has already won the 2015 Presidential election. The daily lies, empty threats, fear and desperation emanating from the PDP shows this.

Indeed. Osinbajo's actions should be inspirational to Nigerian youths but our nation is a 'funny' place where logic is always turned on its head so that what is good is rejected and what is bad is praised and emulated.

Ordinary Nigerians, fervently desirous of a better Nigeria, are donating their own widow's mite for Buhari while those who have looted the nation dry are donating billions to keep their 'area father' (GEJ) in power. Nigerians vote wisely . Vote for progressive change (Buhari) and reject corruption-centred enslavement of the masses (GEJ).

Your lies are not selling nowadays. @OP, Is it GEJ your master (who is using lies and propanga) through you and your colleagues that deserve your vote? Think about that for a few moment before you scheme your next lie.

Indeed. The lies only make it very obvious to Nigerians how desperate the evil PDP are to hold on to control at the centre. These lies make Buhari and Osinbajo more popular and harden the resolve of Nigerians to vote for them and usher in change. They take Nigerians for fools yet fail to understand that even a child will question why a ruling government that has had five years in charge, when elections are upon us, can only limit itself to lying against GMB and Osinbajo instead of blowing Nigerians away with evidence of what they have done for Nigerians while in charge. I only pity those peddling these lies because their total effort amount to an exercise in futility.

The Government of GEJ is shameless and ultra-callous. I laugh at the misguided Nigerians who are trying tag Buhari with infamy when they are supporters of a President who has directly and indirectly caused the death of at least 20,000 Nigerians as a very conservative estimate. It will be a tragedy if GEJ is defeated by anything other than a landslide victory for the opposition because a sound electoral thrashing is the only thing that can show the world that Nigerians are not aberrant and/or mad. The Universe has seen Nigeria's President , to the shame of Nigeria, become the personification of worthless, grossly inadequate, hideously corrupt and entirely anti-people leadership. Even the world beyond Nigeria and Africa wants change for Nigeria.

Yorubas are digging their grave with this gambit or should I say gambari stance.

Forever traitors, jealous and foolhardy.

No. It is you and yours digging your own graves with your ethnocentric and clannish stance which seeks to proscribe the freedom of others to associate with and vote for any Nigerian they want. The elections will come and go but what will not be forgotten in a hurry is the ethno-religious prejudice certain regions of Nigeria have displayed brazenly and without shame for the entire duration of the GEJ Presidency. No region can produce the President on its own. What is now certain is that some regions will find it virtually impossible in the near future to gain the support of others to do so since they have now openly shown their hatred, intolerance and complete lack of goodwill for other major Nigerian ethnic groups.

Go and worry about yourself and your people because the Yorubas will be very okay today, tomorrow and forever in Nigeria since it is an ethnic group that consistently shows it is able to view national issues dispassionately and progressively while rising above ethno-religious prejudice you are obviously guilty of. "Gambaris" are Nigerians also who constitutionally enjoy the right to vote and be voted for regardless of what bigots like you think.

I wonder why twitter hasn't taken down the account.

Bro, remember we have been down this road many times in the past years? GEJ's Government is not viewed as the most divisive and dishonest in the history of Nigeria for no reason. Our President and all his handlers thrive on dividing Nigerians along ethnic and religious lines so that team GEJ profits from the mess ensuing. Worked for a while, to leave Nigeria horribly divided, but Nigerians are now wise to the tactics of Omokri et al and this is why many are rising up to burst the propaganda immediately it launched by the desperate minions of our discredited President. Would 99.9% of Presidents on earth not have sacked Omokri for his unacceptably shameful actions , revealed below, which brought disrepute on the Presidency? It is development like that exposed below which has shown Nigerians that GEJ fully approves of all the divisive and polarising antics of his foot soldiers.

Earlier in the year, Presidential aide, Reno Omokri, sent out documents in the name of a certain Wendell Simlin trying to associate former Central Bank Governor Sanusi Lamido Sanusi of being behind Boko Haram.

The president’s senior adviser on social media however forgot to remove his digital signature on the documents and was widely condemned for his action and attempt at spreading false information on a perceived opponent of the Jonathan government.

There is no salvation for sworn enemies of Nigeria's progress. They have sworn a devilish pact to forever support those destroying Nigeria. Well-meaning Nigerians simply have to overcome these retrogressive elements with their vote.

Now the desperadoes are left with no choice but to use lies, deceit, forgery and ethno-religious scaremongering to demonize GMB as a leader the electorate should reject. Pathetic waste of time. Fake Twitter Account To Discredit Buhari Surfaces | Sunday Trust

A fake twitter account by a certain Ima Sadiq, tweeting @imamsadiq123 has surfaced to discredit the Presidential candidacy of General Muhammadu Buhari of the opposition All Progressive Congress.

The account which was started on Friday and has some 51 followers is posing as a Buhari supporting Islamic cleric, suggesting that Buhari’s singular mission in Aso Rock is to entrench the Shariah law. Already vigilant social media users have rubbished the twitter account as an attempt to discredit Buhari’s candidacy by echoing the propaganda that have been used over the years to portray Buhari as a religious fanatic.

Tolu Ogunlesi, journalist and social commentator, who has been blowing the whistle on the account told Sunday Trust that “it is obviously a fake account. Clearly is someone who is being mischievous, someone who wants to pose as a Buhari supporter to exploit religious tensions.”

The profile picture of the twitter handle was initially that of the US first openly gay imam, Daayiee Abdullah, and when this was pointed out, the operator of the handle changed it to that of Washington DC Masjid imam, Abdul Alim Musa.

The twitter handle has attracted pro-Jonathan supporters, including the PDP Youth Frontier (@PDPYF) which have engaged the purported imam to further explain his tweets.

This was one of the exchanges on the twitter account: PDP Youth Frontier @PDPYF: @imamsadiq123 You mean you don’t believe that Nigeria is a secular state? Are you supporting Buhari bks he Believes in Shaaria law?

Writer and publisher, Eghosa Imasuen says the kind of social media users that have engaged the handle are “the same robots that are paid N100,000 monthly.” “It would be tragic if it wasn’t so transparent,” he said. Popular blogger and tweeter, Japhet Omojuwa also speaking to Sunday Trust said there is an antecedence of something like this.

“The Modus Operandi looks like something we have seen before with the Wendell Simlin scandal. The idea is to make it look like a Buhari supporter and enforce all the things that have been said about him in the past. “I have asked for it [the account] to be reported to Twitter. It is a good thing that it is being ratted out so that the impact can be checked,” he said.

Amazing how many Nigerians who go out of their way to make out they are educated can be guilty of the most ethnocentric, undemocratic, incoherent and senseless postulations once political leadership is the topic of discussion. Do you, as an educated man, know how all sovereign nations operate and do you know the total control the elected leader of such nations enjoys to administer the wealth of the nation on behalf of the people who gave said leaders the electoral majority mandate to act on their behalf? I doubt it from your crudely bigoted talk.

Your education is of no use when you automatically revert to clannish villager mode to suggest that Buhari, as President of Nigeria, is forbidden from using oil wealth, constitutionally owned by the entire sovereign Nigeria, simply because he is not from the ND region. You need to grow up and stop talking like a lawless criminal, crude anarchist and empty secessionist. Separate Nigeria first legally and officially then clannish elements like you can speak as senselessly as you want. Until then, all elected Presidents of Nigeria, mandated through majority votes to act for Nigerians, will control every corner, every strength and every income of Nigeria to the glory of our nation. As simple as that and your caveman rants cannot change that reality which has prevailed since 1999 for all Presidents whether from the SW (OBJ), the North (Yar Adua) or the ND itself (Jonathan).

With all due respect I must say you are a child. A very immature one for that matter. Why call out a few posters and expose them to ridicule and insults because of your own immature and failed approach to life ? These posters are all patriotic Nigerians who joined this forum to discuss a wide spectrum of issues that affects their beloved nation as proud citizens do the world over.

How dare you then insinuate their existence on NL is Buhari-centred? Did they join NL exclusively because of Buhari? What manner of upside-down thinking would then make you suggest they should feel shame and/or deactivate their accounts if Buhari loses? Does this not show you are a simpleton beholden to the worship of mortal men and women lkie Buhari, GEJ et al while balanced folks like the posters you named understand that Buhari and others are a means to an end with the end being good leadership?

These posters want Buhari to win because he will deliver a better Nigeria for all of us and generations unborn. Affiliations with the General is not the totality of their identity and is not a do-or-die relationship. You desperate GEJ fans should just pack it in. No one is fooled by your deceitful "I am not APC or PDP" lies. You enemies of Nigeria's progress only deserve pity because you are losers who will have the privilege of watching Nigeria become great under leaders who are on the side of the people and can stand up to and defeat those holding Nigeria back. Nigeria, to your shame, will overcome with the sort of leaders the PDP has always rejected in favour of business-as-usual stooges like GEJ.

Stop the needless back-and-forth with those who are now forced to be duplicitous and brazenly unprincipled because of their clannish support for a failed leader Nigerians show they are ready to reject. Is the person you responded to even making sense to any sane Nigerian? Where does it say Buhari should be the one campaigning in place of Osinbajo? If it was Buhari seen up and down I can bet any money the poster you responded to will say the General is only trying to deceive Nigerians with "pretend humility". These people are programmed to automatically condemn anything the APC say and do . You have to learn not to dignify their mischief with your response because this is what they crave as unprincipled disciples who have sided with the horrible misrule of Nigeria.

Amaechi and many APC leaders have said exactly what I am saying and I do wish we APC fans begin to practice the general ethos of rising above the temptation to engage those who are followers of failures and are only looking for ways to make Buhari appear unelectable simply because they have nada to sell their own messiah GEJ on. I know it is sometimes difficult seeing blatant lies and mischief levelled against GMB but you must be secure in the knowledge that Nigerians are not interested. The majority have made up their minds already. The needless deaths, hideous corruption, worsening power supply, greater insecurity et al has convinced them GEJ needs to go. The desperate followers want an audience for their mischief because they know they have lost Nigerians. We should not take ourselves to their "level" (Amaechi). We join them in their filthy gutter doing that.

Our campaign will be issue-based. The president has a PhD in Zoology, how many farms do we have and how many people has he employed? If you say the president has a PhD and Buhari does not have one, let him show us his thesis. You are bringing yourself to the level of those who are making those allegations. The PDP that asked for an issue-based campaign has not led by example because the failed Party has no issues to discuss in support of its 16 year horrendous leadership of Nigeria !!! The fans of GEJ and the PDP know this and this is why threads like this exist where so-called "neutrals" beg Nigerians to reject Buhari and embrace the ultra-corrupt, highly callous and monumentally failed GEJ. They will not show face here. If it is to say Buhari is not fit to be President because he wears babariga then the thread would have been a 20-page hatefest already. All team GEJ know to do is try and vilify Buhari and make him appear someone Nigerians should run from. They do this because they have no positives to sell GEJ on. The story of GEJ, over 5 years, is one of brazen fraud, ungodly corruption, hideous ineptitude, condemnable pro-leit and anti-people leadership plus the callous and irresponsible readiness to remain eating N1 billion food and flying around the world in ten private planes while over 10,000 Nigerians have been slaughtered in cold blood.

Nigerians are fed up of it all. What is crystal clear is that the people are willing to give Buhari a chance because most Nigerians, minus the ethno-religious bigots, now fully understand that our nations has sunk to its lowest level possible. Go to the post below to see an example of your fellow chest-beater kettykin taken to the cleaners when he concocted lies to support the usual empty claims of Igbos "own Lagos". Obvious he pulled these ridiculous figures and statistics out of his azz:

https://www.nairaland.com/2013933/lagos-igr-now-75-state/1

kettykin:
Break Down of the IGR of Lagos

IGR from Banking, Insurance and Financial houses ---------- 20% ---------- Banking industry controlled by Delta igbos
IGR from Telecommunication firms and ISP ------ --- ------ 18%---------- MTN,Etisalat, Airtel foreign owned
IGR from Retail /Wholesale business ------- --- ---16% ----------- Retail and wholesale Business controlled by Igbos
IGR from the Oil and gas and service companies----- -- 30%------ Oil and Gas Industry is actually Niger Delta industry headquartered in Lagos
IGR from Dangote , BUA other top Northern businesses---- 7%------ Bulk importation of Sugar, Flour , Cement from the North
IGR from construction , Agents , land lords -------- 5% ------- construction , Agents , land lords controlled by ALL
IGR from taxi,Okada and bus drivers ------- 1%--------- Taxi , bus driving, Okada controlled by Yorubas and Aboka
IGR from tailors and agbo sellers --- ----- 0%--------- tailors and agbo sellers controlled by Yorubas
IGR from Baba Ijebu, bet9ja --- ---------- 1%---------- Baba Ijebu controlled by Yorubas
IGR from Hotels , bars, clubs , restaurants, eateries --- 2% -- controlled by ALL

Sadly for your deluded compadre the reality, as I presented it from authoritative source, is drastically different. You guys should really stop doing this to yourselves and making your own ethnic group the butt of jokes. All this because you cannot respect others and must always look for ways, even using wild fantasies and lie, to try and belittle them while claiming fictitious superiority over other Nigerians. Shame on people like you.

http://businessdayonline.com/2013/04/examining-lagos-state-gdp-figures/#.VHRH5ousXL4

Examining Lagos State GDP figures

Seven different sectors dominate economic activities in Lagos State, led by manufacturing which, interestingly, contributes 29.60 percent of the state’s GDP figures. Road transport follows closely contributing an average of 26.47 percent of economic activities in the state. Other sectors in order of dominance include building and construction (19.60 percent); wholesale and retail (8.39 percent); telecommunications (3.71 percent); financial institutions (3.51 percent); and real estate (2.01 percent). The seven sectors account for 93.39 percent of economic activities in the state.

The Lagos State Bureau of Statistics also breaks down the state’s GDP based on sectors. Livestock is the biggest economic activity in the agricultural sector. This is closely followed by forestry, and then fisheries which is about half the size of the livestock sector. Crop production is almost insignificant in the agricultural sector, contributing just 0.004 percent of economic activities.

Road transport is the giant in the room in the transportation sector in Lagos State, making up more than 90 percent of economic activities in the sector. The road transport sector is only slightly smaller than manufacturing. Manufacturing and road transport activities actually make up an average 56 percent of all economic activities taking place in Lagos. This explains the Lagos State government’s emphasis on road transport infrastructure within the state as both sectors actually feed on each other. The roads need manufacturing goods and passenger traffic while manufacturing needs the roads to move goods from production centres to the market.

Now who is opening a conversation with abuse? People like u provoke reaction and then turn around to base a senseless arguement on that reaction.

So, far ur reaction is predictable becos most yorubas have developed a sense of entitlement with regards to Lagos Governorship or Politics. This is very much so, to the detriment of the multi-ethnic and linguistic character of Lagos as a state.

What igbos are requesting is not unreasonable since they make a sizeable contribution to the state budget via heavy taxation and have been resident in the state from conception as the capital of Nigeria.

They own a sizeable chunk of the land mass that they bought and have even built. They are only asking to participate in the governance of their state. If Obama can be President of America, i dont see the big deal here.

Opening a conversation with abuse? Did you not call me a "slimy pig" to elicit the response I gave? The forum can now see your two-faced duplicity. You dish it out only to cry and play victim when you get same in return.

As for your post, you cannot make a "reasonable" request with blackmail and without understanding and abiding with the principle of "live and let live". You need to respect other Nigerians always and fundamentally accept their contributory importance and worth instead of vaingloriously and disrespectfully dismissing all other ethnic groups while falsely proclaiming yourself to be what you are not.

You say Yorubas have a "sense of entitlement". What sense of entitlement? The one many Yorubas were forced to developed after Igbos began claiming they "own Lagos" and that they "control the economy of Lagos" with the wild and delusional claim that "Lagos will collapse if we pull our investments out"? Show me one ethnic group or race that will not develop a "sense of entitlement" after hosting another ethnic group or race for decades hospitably and tolerantly only to be told they are "lazy slaves" dominated by others. My friend, look at the antics of your kinsmen first before accusing the Yorubas, ordinarily secure in themselves and tolerantly hospitable, of having a sense of entitlement. If you do not operate with humility ever than you will get cooperation never.

Calculia:

And yorubas on nairaland posting pictures of dieing Biafra Children was not offensive enough to warrant those hard words from waternogetenemy. Yorubas on nairaland saying more Biafra will die and making reference to Biafrans dieing and dead is Ok?
Gbawe, u are a slimy pig for bring up those post and not the instigator waternogetenemy was basically replying.
Igbos should have a say in their Lagos state and participate in its governance going forward.

Sentimental fool. Can you put aside the 'support my kinsman by all means' bigotry for a minute and see what needs to be seen? Do you think I have time for the Yoruba bigots waternogeteneny engages here? Big no !!! Yet my point remains that "those who come to equity must come with clean hands". You cannot be shouting "Marginalisation" without acknowledging your own behaviour which makes you hard to trust with power. When Yoruba bigots insult Igbos here 24/7 then be my guest to remind them that their behaviour may have made it difficult for Igbos to trust them with power when a Yoruba is seeking political office in Anambra or Abia State.

You need to stop looking at everything childishly. I am a Lagosian and a proud Yoruba. I will comment if some wish to play the usual marginalisation card deceitfully and dishonestly. You are not mature or objective enough to learn from waht others are saying. Look at the part I quoted below from one of my previous posts on this thread to note why it is incumbent on the Igbos, as those seeking the support of others, to demonstrate that charity begins at home. You a big fool and an egocentric tw1t if the point I am making is not clear. Carry on with the vainglorious and pugnacious attitude to everything related to engaging other Nigerians. I don't know the manner of idiocy that prevents you from understanding the simple concept of how it is those who want something from others who have the greater onus of making concilliatory effort to get what they want. Mumu.

Nothing would benefit Igbos more, because of their nomadic nature, than a dedication to respecting others and making an effort to get on with them instead of remaining obsessed with viewing others disdainfully, fighting them over civil war 'hangover' vendetta and proclaiming fictitious superiority over them day in day out.

@Rosebowl01.

Look below at revelations of the perfect example of what we are talking about:

waternogeteneny:
Igbo have a stake in Lagos and should be included in the Governance as major stakeholders.
This marginalization must end.

This waternogeteneny character is playing victim here conveniently when it is election time and shouting "marginalisation". Yet he is the same character who insult Yorubas 24/7 and 365 days here and makes his vile prejudice against the ethnic group very obvious. How is such a person in a position to demand that he or any like him be trusted with power in a multicultural society where it is terribly important for leaders to have a sense of equity to all who live within the State regardless of their ethnic origin? Look at his past post to see the duplicity most Yorubas have now seen through and are not predisposed to indulging. The day it dawns on some Igbos that charity begins at home is the day they begin making real progress earning the trust of other Nigerians. Look at the nauseating and bigoted rants of the chap below only to now be playing "marginalised" innocent victim on this thread. Therein lies the problems of Igbos caused by ignorant, disrespectfully vile and ethnocentric Igbos like this waternogeteneny character.

Ojukwu told AWOLOWO to keep his western region but the lazy bastard wanted igbo money to build Lagos. Today Lagos is no mans land especially after 3 million died so the lazy yorobbers can have our village mansions built by igbos in lagos. Igbos have ownership of Lagos.

Point of correction incestuous pig! igboland and Lagos are the samething.

Y are yorobbers running from Ibadan? Is it such a hellhole?? Y not claim Ibadan? Y Lagos, the federal territory? THIEVES want to claim peoples mansion and business!

Shut up ur dirty Yoruba mouth about the massarce of yorubas. Can u fight or u think u can blockade anybody in 2015. U will fight like a man and lose like the coward and lazy bastard u are. No blockade and no starvation, did u kill more soldiers than Biafra killing Nigeria in the civil war? Of course not.

Biafra killed more Nigerians than Nigeria killing Biafra soldiers. U no fit win. olodo!

I will still vote PDP. MUMU! APC has proved to be a party of Bigots with deporting fellow Nigerians in Nigeria. Any igbo that vote APC is just putting nail in their coffin.

Ndiigbo stick with the national party PDP. PDP for Lagos Gov.

If APC wants igbo vote, they should reassure Ndiigbo and present an igbo vice.

If at all possible, I think you people should take a step back, reflect on how you relate with other people, review your utterances and its implications, then consider adjusting what you wrote up there. You must admit that Ibos are relatively rude, when relating/compared to other groups. That is what elicit the negative reaction or ill treatment you all get in response. You don't always have to fight or insult other people's sensibility to take your RIGHTFUL place in the society.
Thanks,

This is spot on and I have made this point many times. Even Nigerian immigrants to the UK gain influential political and public office by relating well with others they met on the ground in their adopted Country. You will never get far in public leadership, anywhere in the word, if you make it obvious you despise your host, have no interest in respecting them and prefer to remain perpetually locked in a sentimental and vainglorious battle of supremacy with them.

What profit is to be gained from the 24/7 demonization of an ethnic group, sentiments and prejudice aside, that is regarded as one of the greatest and most influential in Africa let alone Nigeria? Nothing would benefit Igbos more, because of their nomadic nature, than a dedication to respecting others and making an effort to get on with them instead of remaining obsessed with viewing others disdainfully, fighting them over civil war 'hangover' vendetta and proclaiming fictitious superiority over them day in day out.

When, 24/7 and virtually all year long, you do things counter-productive to earning the trust of others why then begin complaining only at election times of 'marginalisation' without taking into consideration your divisive action for most of the year that got you where you are? Frustrating how some, like the poster you quoted, cannot see and factor-in what is glaringly obvious as per the majority contributions of Igbos to the predicament they find themselves in. Someone else is always to blame and this is the core of the problem i.e seeing the speck in the eyes of others yet missing the boulder in their own eyes.

I really don't understand what this group wants to achieve with this 'blackmail' letter. We are less than two months away from the elections. What exactly will this achieve when candidates for all political positions have emerged already and nothing can now be reversed or amended? The fact is that Igbos always have the choice of getting involved to use their claimed numerical and economic advantage to make things happen for themselves.

Begging for what you claim to have the numbers and wealth to gain automatically is pathetic to me. To the best of my knowledge APGA is not banned from presenting candidates for any elective position in Lagos. Why not do so and win elections with your "majority population" and then begin to gain a foothold in Lagos politics instead of this pathetic grovelling predicated on childish blackmail? Why are these time-wasters writing the APC when they should simply pledge their "majority population" and "we control Lagos economy" wealth to the current Lagos APGA Igbo guber candidate? Would it not be a done deal if they did that and supported Okoroji ?

Also, how many Parties are doing anything different to the APC for this deluded group to be issuing not-so-subtle threats to the APC? How many elective political positions did the PDP give to Igbo candidates in Lagos for the 2015 elections? Labour nko? Despite some Igbos even turning the PDP into default Igbo Party, to then begin expecting that Agbaje would announce an Igbo as his deputy Governor, what eventually happened? Did Agbaje not ignore the Igbos , despite many Igbos bragging they had the numbers to help him depose the APC, to nominate a Yoruba moslem? This group should urge Igbos to vote PDP or any other Party of their choice because the APC has presented their candidates to INEC for the upcoming elections and childish blackmail will not change that. No one believes the "majority population" or "we control the economy" noise some Igbos make 24/7 yet never take up the chance to prove when they have the perfect opportunity to do so. Therefore no one takes the empty and attention-seeking blackmail of this group seriously. The tone of the letter is sentimental and banal while the request made within it is asinine and highly unreasonable.

Politics / Buhari Will Save Nigeria Like He Did In 1983 – Aregbesola by Gbawe2: 11:38am On Dec 25, 2014

Buhari will save Nigeria like he did in 1983 – Aregbesola
By Sylvester Ugwuanyi on December 25, 2014

Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun State has told Nigerians that the nation needs Muhammadu Buhari at this critical time that it has been driven to a precipice just as he came at the nick of time in 1983 when the conservative National Party of Nigeria (NPN) had crippled the country through bad leadership.

Aregbesola

He called on Nigerians to recollect that the economy, security and social welfare of the citizens were already completely destroyed after the defunct NPN’s rule from 1979 to 1983 when the military took over and gave Buhari the platform to restore the hope of Nigerians. He asserted that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has done the worst damage to the country.

While noting that there is a world of difference between the Buhari of 2014 who is a civilian and democrat and the Buhari of 1983 who was a soldier, the governor explained that the first step towards salvaging Nigeria from the claws of death by the PDP is to vote out the party. He observed that there is so much poverty and misery in the country despite the fortunes it had been blessed with.

According to a release by the Director, Bureau of Communication and Strategy, Semiu Okanlawon, the governor expressed his views when labour leaders in the state met him to submit a report of the efforts by workers to develop fresh means of economic sustenance for the state and increase its internally generated revenue.

Reeling out series of social disorders caused by the PDP government, Aregbesola said, “In 1983, it was Buhari that God sent to rescue the situation of Nigerians where the conservative elements had brought Nigeria to a rot. Buhari has come again to lead us out of the quagmire and sweep away all the anti-democratic and anti-development elements who have brought Nigeria to this deplorable state.

Weird Ugandan maid? More like evil Ugandan maid. Weird is such an inappropriate word to use in describing the perpetrator of such despicable and vile physical abuse of an innocent little child. She could have killed that defenceless little child. 4 years is not enough in my opinion but judges are compelled to follow sentencing guidelines.

I do not blame you and Shan George. Your mentality is so used to leaders who steal public funds to add to whatever pay they get from their salaries. Go to Europe and see past senior public administrators who still live in rented apartments on mortgage and take public transportation. With your mentality Nigeria will never attain it's millenium development goals. In your generation it's a crime not to enrich oneself from public coffers yet we say the youth should be allowed to take power from the older generation. It's a shame and you are a disgrace to the few right thinking youth of this country.

My good man, you cannot blame the likes of this entertainer cum hustler. Folks like her have never been exposed to civilised society and are only aware of the 'Nigerian way' which is always about a small group of people accumulating massive wealth at the expense of the majority. In most nations of the world, you do not become rich automatically because you are a General in the Army or a former head of State. Those positions requires exemplary focus and dedication to duty which tends to rule out any chance of opportunist wealth acquisition for dedicated leaders.

The belief of lofty office = stupendous wealth only holds true in Nigeria because our nation is a morally warped geographical space where many abuse influential positions to make themselves hideously rich to the detriment of the populace. This is why Nigeria is a mess today to the extent something as fundamental as electricity, taken for granted in most nations of the world, remains a luxury in Nigeria today.

It beggars belief that some Nigerians can claim Buhari did wrong for not abusing his lofty office in the army and in governance to emerge stupendously rich as other like IBB, OBJ, Danjuma et al managed. Buhari did the right thing at every stage and as a principled man devoted to duty and service above materialism. The man is consumed with delivering a better Nigeria. He has never told anyone he is a business guru , like Dangote,or an oil bloc profiteer like Danjuma et al.

In many Countries of the world you will find outstanding professionals and men/women of integrity who contributed immensely to the advancement of humanity and are happy to live on a pension in their latter years. Money never meant anything to those people. Buhari is in that category. His proven ability and commitment to fighting for a Nigeria that works for ordinary Nigerians, and not the private jet Oligarchs, is what has endeared him to sensible Nigerians currently.
