What a shame! |
A B-2 visa is required by people who want to travel to the U.s as tourists. The maximum period of stay is 6-months in any particular year. For example,A 10 year B-2 visa allows you to stay for a period of(theoretically) 6 months in year 1 6 months in year 2(please dont repeat this every year, you may have problems). 6 months in year 10. A B-2 visa is a non-immigrant visa(NIV) which means the candidate does not intend to immigrate to the US.An applicant has to schedule an interview at the U.s consulate in their domain. Many ,usually travel to the U.s mostly during summer(April-October).Its advisable to book an appointment as early as possible. The Visa officers are rigorously trained by the U.S government before being assigned to different embassies around the world.Sometimes, the spouses of the V.O's also work in the same embassy. The visa officer's learn about the psychology of the visa seekers by interviewing different candidates for U.s visas. This learning process provides the visa officers with a fair idea about a potential candidate's motive. Since they are human, they could possibly reject visa's for genuine candidates. Also, multiple short trips in a year may have consequences, like, being denied entry to the U.S ,warning or strict cautioning,or reducing the duration of stay in the U.S A pointer about the PSYCHE of visa officers: 1.They dont forget liars.(Their Database has information about lying candidates). 2.They dont forgive liars. 3.They can sense fear(if you observe any visa interview, you can always figure it out). 4.They dont like their decisions questioned)if you are denied a visa, keep quiet and leave.Any abusive action goes into your record and could be used against you.Its just like a U.S cop giving you a speeding ticket;take it and do not react unless asked. 5.They make quick decisions. 6.They do make their judgements, quickly. 7.They are honest gatekeepers to the U.s,and act in the best interest of the U.S and not the visa seeker. 8.More frequently than not,the make correct decisions. 9.They are fair and balanced(unless you misbehave). REASONS FOR SUCCESSFUL B-2 INTERVIEWS. The following are the reasons for a succesful Visa interview. 1.Candidate was truthful and confident in his or her answers to the V.O. 2.Candidate has a good, valid and truthful reason to travel to the U.S(Tourism and visiting the kids) . 3.Candidate has sufficient ties (and the consular officer must find his answers convincing) back home which proves that he will return home within 6 months. 4.Candidate has a good idea about his/her destination in the U.S 5.Candidate has got sufficient funds and properties in his home country which would not portray him as a poverty stricken fellow ,who might want to remain in the U.S,permanently, for better living conditions .Candidate did not appear hell-bent on getting a VISA to the U.S. 6.Most important: The Visa Officer is convinced that the candidate is sincere and truthful in his answers .He believes the candidate intends to visit the U.s for tourism only, and not for some other petty jobs(candidate does not intend to work in the U.s) |
So sad. |
The elections appear to be free and fair but it might just turn out to be a hoax. |
Ok, shall we continue to share the National Cake? |
lagerwhenindoubt:how about that for a bashing? |
@Op, i think you need to correct the title of the thread. |
switchmax8:very correct. |
Australia is a nice country but its proximity appears to be a problem. |
The is a preponderance of indians in the USA.They are just everywhere. |
The site may be experiencing some problems at the moment |
komekn:He did address a press conference where he made the allegations, though they appear spurious. It was broadcast by Channels TV and some other media houses. |
I mean easier in the sense that money can go far in the US compared to the UK it is not unheard of for people to work 12 hours in the UK, and nurses work long hours everywhere. I am not saying that life in the US is easy, life is hard everyhwere, but it is easier compared to the UK. if you want to compare, come and live in a dingy 1 bed flat worth the same price as a 4 bed house in the US
lol |
Another question:Why arent people on the streets celebrating since GEJ won by a "LANDSLIDE"? |
The President has just been re-elected,but several allegations of corruption against him and his wife remain unanswered. His opponents are quick to point out the shrinking of the foreign reserves from 40billion dollars to less than 200million dollars under his administration. This they say,is unprecedented in the History of Nigeria. The debt profile of Nigeria has risen dramatically,in just under a year.He is also believed to have spent a 100 million dollars daily on his campaigns. Allegations of money laundering against his wife have refused to go away.As a matter of fact, some believe his administratiom may go down as the most financially reckless in Nigeria's history. If these allegations are true, why would he be handed a new four year term?Wouldnt he 'haemorrage' Nigeria ,dry? How well do you think he has managed Nigeria, financially?Do you think he is very corrupt and deceptive,as many claim? |
Ribadu stood no chance from the outset. |
And GEJ continues to haemorrage the Nation. |
komekn:his allegations need an investigation ,first. |
Fictitious votes were allegedly alloted to the candidate of the PDP. |
These allegations are very serious |
The CPC chairman just addressed a press conference alleging vote rigging by the PDP.A letter of protest had been submitted to the INEC chairman asking him to suspend the announcement of the result of the election until the votes are re -counted,manually.He said a program had been installed in the computers at the collation centers, specifically designed to reduce the CPC votes.Professor JEGA has promised to look into the allegations. |

bidemi12:No mind am.He chose to support his corrupt kinsman ,regardless of his cluelessness.they have no moral right to complain if things get worse under a Chronically incompetent president. |
Jarus:Absolutely! Buhari gave GEJ a big fight,in spite of the INCUMBENCY FACTOR which played a big role in this one.ONLY IF FOLKS COULD RISE ABOVE SENTIMENTS AND VOTE FOR THE BEST CANDIDATE.I think there should be a law making it mandatory for an incumbent president to resign three months before elections.Otherwise, they would continue to deploy state resources towards their re-election. The bribery and corruption in the run up to this elections is UNPRECEDENTED.Its absolutely CRIMINAL.I hope those involved would be brought to book, sometime later.Kudos to the BB team . Buhari ran a PHENOMENAL race! |
Double N:The status quo remains,of course.Whanton looting of the treasury continues, the foreign reserves included. Many billionares would emerge as a result. |
He needs to improve on his sentence structuring. |
^^^^^Your hatred for Buhari appears to be an obsession.Y |
^^^^^^^Carry your sarcastic comments go jare.Wetin carry you come here? |
honeric01:Its so amazing to see supposedly enlightened folks vote based on sentiments."let have somebody from the south this time, the North have had their chance".The North have ruled us the more but, this time,if Buhari appears to be more credible than GEJ,why wouldnt one vote for him? If a party have failed three times, why not give another party the chance, now? Is the Nigerian Presidency the PDP's birthright? They PDP have boasted to rule Nigeria for the next fifty years despite its shambolic perfomance.Should we be so gullible to allow that?In saner countries, such a party would have since gone into political oblivion. As things stand now,Nigeria needs a leader who has a trackrecord in fighting corruption and GEJ does not fit into the equation here. He recently remarked that an incumbent can not lose at the polls and once i heard that,i knew he was going to do everything within his powers to win thereby casting some doubt on the electoral process. Had he declined to contest,he would have been recognized as a true hero. All things considered, those who voted him into power have no moral right to complain if things get worse. |
gokuu:thats not true. |
^^^^^^This is not the appropriate thread for your post as you can see in the title.I believe there should be a thread for the GEJ fans.Whatever happens to GEJ is not our concern. |
Debroslink: Debroslink:A FIVE NIL HUMILIATION OF REAL MADRID.MOURINHO PREDICTED THAT MADRID WILL FINISH THE GAME WITH TEN MEN AND THEY DID.HE ALSO ADMITS THAT BEST TEAM IN THE WORLD PLAYING POSSESION FOOTBALL. |
