As a Statistics major, we were taught: Basic, SPSS, QBasic, Fortran77, Pascal, Cobol on paper. Not just a single practical session so I lost interest. My highest grade was a 56 of I'm not mistaken.

As an Economics graduate school student, I used STATA however, I regret not knowing Fortran77 because of its computational abilities.

Now for work, I use SQL, SAS, and Python. I know a little of R too.

Fufu Egba is good for those who love Akpu and feels Akpu is too strong and has some smell. It isn't too strong but it isn't so soft compared to the ones they sell in Osun.

Pupuru is Ondo and I don't think it is the same as Fufu. Egba's Fufu is different from that of Osun. It doesn't smell and it is stronger unlike the ones they sell in Osun.

You are so wrong on your assumption about Nigerian men. The men I grew around in my family, you don't mess with their wives no matter who you are. A place of a mom or sister is different. Perhaps, you've only walked in the cycle of men you portrayed.

My only advice is that you grow up.

I don't know your type of upbringing however, you need to face your mom and let her know you do not appreciate her tantrums. This is your wife and your home, if she truly loves you and wants the best for you, she needs to love whatever it is you love.

Next time, desist from reporting her to anyone, instead go to her and sort things out. If you are grown enough to be a husband, nobody will ask your mom or mother-in-law what role they played should your marriage go south. Therefore, going forward, rise to the occasion and with prayer, God will see you through.

Lastly, for your wife, if you don't have any problem with your mom's church, surprise her one day by visiting with your wife for service. I am sure it will ease so much of the tension. If you have issues with the church however, please, do not visit so as not to compound issues.

Does any beat pounded yam amongst the solids? For me, I would rate them in the following order:
Pounded Yam
Akpu
Fufu Egba
Eba
Wheat
Amala
Poundo (not my thing just like the last which will be semo).

Did you read the story or you missed the point? In case you missed it, the mom is stressed financially thus, the need to marry off the lady to relieve her of the stress and believing the man will in turn take care of the family. It isn't about writing JAMB when there is no source of funding her education.

SOLUTION

I have engaged OP and I am currently working to confirm the veracity of his story. This should be completed by next weekend. Once confirmed, the plan is to do any of the following:

1. Full-ride scholarship (tuition and living expenses) to any public university in Nigeria (including cost of preparing for JAMB etc) - the condition for this is that she must be able to get admission on merit.

2. Alternatively, sponsored training in a structured fashion school in Lagos, including cost of sewing machine, transportation and stipend for one year.

It will be nice to collaborate with @Gaby, @Dawoyo and everyone else that would like to pitch in.

Since the mom's concern is the financial burden, I think number 2 seems more viable and once she's on her feet and has the business going, she can sponsor herself through school.

It will be nice if you can figure out what the cost will be and people can take it up from there.

OP, it will be nice to give updates so that those thinking of helping will know where to come in.

By updates, I mean those who have reached out to you and what the discussions are without mentioning names. You could also list the things she has in plans in terms of the apprenticeship. For example, she needs 3 machines 2 butterfly and 1 electric, the balance of her apprenticeship is xyz amount. By the way, if she gets sewing machines, is there space in the house to put it (them)? I believe there is light at the end of the tunnel.
