TheSuperNerd: Meanwhile how Oluehi escaped a card or being sent off for "that foul" on Kgatlana must be some lenient gift from the referee.
Amazing how I can say that I had little to no complaints about the ref from yesterday's game.
Oluehi is a very decent goalkeeper but I just personally feel much more assured with Chiamaka Nnadozie in goal. Thanks goodness she returns for the next game. I think there was already an Offside call before the foul. Oluehi comes out too much, I wonder why we never use Yewande, is she that bad? |

galantjoe: I wish many Nigeria leaders should follow the technocracy adopted by Obj, Yaradua and GEJ where professionals occupied key ministries, departments and agencies (MDA) However, in current govt, politicians occupied those key MDAs. That is bane of our problems Thank you But your Obj, Gej, and Yaradua also failed in terms of infrastructure like Electricity, Trains, Gas Infrastructure (except for Obj to a small extent). If they had invested in all these, we would be feeling the effects by now. Also your Obj sold too many Government enterprises that are not fruitful today all in the name of privatisation. |

Imagine leaving your house around 3:30/4 in the early hours in the morning to beat traffic at the Lekki Ajah axis and the Lagos State government don't care of building alternative roads. The trains would solve those problems easily. |

reality1010: What is Fashola saying again? The Rocket science man that could not maintain the mega watt of electricity he meet. For good four years he could not add an inche to Nigeria's electricty instead he resorted to media propaganda to save face. Nigerian road is the worst for it, from South east to south west to North central, north east and south south. Our roads are death trap while billions are stolen to service Tinubu and his croonies. Fashola knows nothing about development. As a Governor he wasnt a match to Peter Obi, he knows very well despite the huge revenue that comes from Lagos as a former Federal Capital Territory built by the colonial master and the federal government. Fashola is one of the dark horses in this government. Unfortunately Fashola's failure to revive the North east power project at gelengu made late Abba Kyari to travel to Europe where he got covid 19 and died. Fashola should cover his head in shame. What Nigeria needs now is an expert like Obi who can rescue Nigeria from her comatose state to a productive state. Every state in Nigeria is supposed to be bouyant. I am not a fan of Fashola especially when he was minister of power but Obi has to change his mindset towards infrastructure. We need Infrastructure even if it means borrowing for it like Egypt has been doing since 2017. |

Kenyans here criticising Ghana concerning IMF should note that Kenya has been to the IMF more than Ghana and currently they are in the IMF scheme (Both forms of IMF schemes even). Liberia is the highest IMF dependent (21 times), Kenya (19 times), Ghana (17 times), Sierra Leone (17 times), Mali (17 times).
African countries currently on IMF Support

samtol4: CAF destroying African football with this draconic policy that pitch Nigeria against Ghana, Nigeria against Ivory Coast. These two teams are better than Burkina Faso and Senegal but CAF pairs Ghana against Nigeria, then Nigeria against Ivory Coast. The best teams should be in the tournament, not this quota system that tends to favor southern Africa Even the Ghana and Ivory coast would play rubbish too but this is a pain to watch. |

POKUASI2: it's just one those populist, not well thought out political decisions I'm talking about. Introduction of free senior secondary education was entirely a political one and it is part of the reason the country is where it is today. And how wasteful the govt is. Imagine a govt of 30million population with 110 ministers and almost a thousand presidential staffers. He went ahead and created 6 more regions with each region producing a region minister plus other representations that'll require wages and what not. On the economic side of things, things never moved further from where the other administration stopped Hmm probably he is trying to make Ghana more or less like a federal state. |
Politics › Re: Can Infrastructure Drive An Economy? Fashola Counters Peter Obi (2019) by GeneralDae: 7:41pm On Jul 03, 2022 |
chinchum: Infrastructure is arguably the key factor that drives the economy. I must state that the optimal infrastructures like refineries, seaport, railways, power plants, efficient electricity transmission lines, good rural roads,.
SMEs fail most times because of the failure of these aforelisted infrastructures. Production will struggle and can not be catalysed in the face of inadequate infrastructure. Small and medium scale enterprises fail and cant create the required jobs because of the lack of infrastructure.
Building most of the infrastructures takes time and it takes strong commitment and aggressive focus to achieve sustainable growth.
I am not surprise Obi said infrastructure does not drive economy, little wonder he was saving money that should be used to build infrastructure. You dont have bad roads everywhere, no cargo airport and begin to save money. Nigerias problem today can also be traced to little investment on the infrastructure by the military in about 30 years they were at the helm of affairs, they had an easy chance with the value of Naira, less population to aggressively improve our infrastructure but they barely made a change. Exactly bro, infrastructure is everything. Obi should rather learn this and stop talking rubbish. |
