WIth lots of minerals it should be easy to fix. They just need fiscal discipline to watch the macro-economics. Their appetite for commercial loans is almost criminal. They should build domestic debt market - and avoid commercial loans like a plague. Take concessional low interest long maturity loans. That should be bare minimum.

Ghana and Zambia are twins in everything. They look good from a distance - democratic and all that organized - but they are always 2-3 years from an economic meltdown.
Ghanaians and Zambians also have similar character though. Very calm and easy going people grin.

Ghana will keep needing IMF bailout in this lifetime until they learn to crawl before walking and that is to correct the fundamentals of their macroeconomics. Sadly, the only one who was trying to kickstart the process of correcting this fundamentals was seen as economic disaster by this shallow minded individuals.
Do you mean former president mahama?

Words failed me to qualify the stupidity and foolishness of that guy. I am just waiting for him to come and deny this IMF story again grin
Ghana had no choice though, I feel they should have gone to the IMF a little bit earlier ( late last year maybe), but it's not too late at the moment. If they had waited say 6 more months in the name of politics, it would have been a disastrous situation.

Barbara Banda still looks female enough na.... What of that Cameroon goalkeeper we're talking about yesterday? There is one that scored 5 goals in a match too...forgot her name and country.
You mean Senegalese goalkeeper right?
It was the Tanzanian U-17 lady who scored 4 goals to qualify her team.

You're right.
Rumblings had been in the works for Semanya for quite a while, prior to the Olympics. It was only a matter of time.
Same thing happened to the Equitorial Guinea women's team at one time, with Bilguisa and Salimata Simpore going through similar accusations, forcing them to withdraw from the team.
These things never end well and Zambia should have anticipated this kind of uproar.
Hmm, if that is so, my mind goes to the Tanzanian U17 lady who almost single handedly made them qualify for their first ever world cup.

Barbara Banda has been excluded from Zambia's squad on "medical grounds". No real information provided by their FA around it... But reading through their fans comment, it appears CAF had a hand in it...
Mayber her sexuality is in question
If FIFA had no problem with her playing the Olympics, then why should CAF?

Mercy Akide,
Perpetua Nkwocha &
Asisat Oshoala;

Who amongst these three Super Falcons Legends made the most impact for the National team whether on the continent or globally?

#brilafm #brilasports #nff #superfalcons #WAFCON #AWCON2022 #TeamNigeria #EmpoweringOurGame #WAFCON2022
Globally, Mercy Akide and Asissat Oshoala more recognized. Continentally: Perpetua Nkwocha. Most impactful all round : Perpetua Nkwocha.

Wafcon All-Time Top Scorers since 1998.

*Akide's 1995 Records not gotten for now.

1. Perpetua Nkwocha (Nigeria) - 34 goals (2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2012, 2014). *Absent in 2008.

2. Mercy Akide (Nigeria) - 18 goals (1998, 2000, 2002).

3. Genoveva Añonma (Eq. Guinea) - 14 goals (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012).

4. Desire Oparanozie (Nigeria) - 13 goals (2010, 2014, 2016, 2018).

5. Asisat Oshoala (Nigeria) - 13 (2014, 2016, 2018).

6. Cynthia Uwak (Nigeria) - 10 (2004, 2006)

7. Chinasa Okoro (Eq. Guinea) - 10 (2006, 2008, 2010, 2012).

8. Veronica Phewa (SA) - 10 goals (2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008).
Wow total dominance by Nigeria here. 6 out of the 8 players. Wow just Wow grin.

Modified : 5 out of the 8 players. Chinasa Okoro confused me for a minute there.

Come to think of it, since Equatorial Guinea stopped using Nigerians, Brazilians, and controversial players (thought to be too manly), they are virtually nowhere to be found grin.
Politics › Re: NNPC May Acquire 10% Equity In African Refineries Port Harcourt by GeneralDae: 3:47pm On Jun 30, 2022

Wow. That is nice.
But who will run it when it becomes functional? Same salary earners that ran it down or a new breed of intellects? Administration is key to a successful business. But the mindset of the NNPC administration is not to make anything work. It is just to collect. Consumption.
I don't understand you at this point. I thought you were blaming them earlier for not rehabilitating the refineries? I told you they are doing that, and now you shifted the goalpost to maintenance. So are you saying they should neglect it simply because they can't maintain it or are you saying they should completely privatise it? If they privatise it, people like una go still complain again.
Politics › Re: NNPC May Acquire 10% Equity In African Refineries Port Harcourt by GeneralDae: 1:37pm On Jun 30, 2022

Anambra state is not a company. Anambra state can invest in private companies as stimuli and expand productivity. But NNPC is not federal government. A company investing in a company that produces what it should be producing shows the company has no future other than reaping from peoples labour. Is the company's equity worth more than annual expenses and salaries of NNPC? But you are right. It is Peter Obis fault that you think NNPC should invest in a private company rather than make it refineries functional to be able to regulate other refineries products prices when they are in operation.
The PortHarcourt refinery is currently being rehabilitated as well. It has a time span from now till at most 2025. Who says two things can't be done at thesame time?

What State Governors do in our country is what Presidents do in other smaller countries. This is how it's supposed to be, especially when we begin to practice federalism to the core via some form of restructuring.

This was the line up that played against the Banyana Banyana during the Aisha Buhari Cup last year...

Chiamaka Nnadozie

Michelle Alozie
Akudo Ogbonna
Onome Ebi
Glory Ogbonna

Rita Chikwelu
Regina Otu
Joy Bokiri

Uchenna Kanu
Desire Oparanozie
Asisat Oshoala

Oparanozie and Bokiri ain't in this team for the tournament...

Defense will have a big time change as Osinachi Ohale and Ashleigh Plumptre will be coming in...

Midfield will also have a massive Change as Rasheedat Ajibade, Christy Ucheibe, Tony Payne, Halimatu Ayinde and inform Ngozi Okobi is there... Regina Otu may likely come from the bench as Chikwelu will definitely seat out...

Upfront we have got Ifeoma Onumonu, Franny Ordega to spice things up...

Left for me this Falcons team should beat SA at least 2nil as the players coming in are bringing in a lot of pace, power and stability...
Ohale and Ashley in that defence are a different class from the Ogbonnas who played at the Aisha Buhari's cup. Alozie is of course not a natural defender but she makes up for this with her attacking play.
We are certainly gonna do better than what we did at the Aisha Buhari's cup.

Modern Football is now played with fast paced that promotes physicality and intense pressing while also sustaining the foundation of structural play and tiki-taka.

I just want to see the falcons doing this, thanks to the those Players who are good with their ball handling coupled with their Speed....

I just hope Coach Randy seat out Rita Chikwelu from the starting 11 and give rooms to the Younger defensive midfielders especially Christy Ucheibe who alone can cover a lot of ground breaking down opposing play and winning possessions.. With Energetic Ayinde again in Midfield who's also a great passer and a good ball winner, whosever that takes up the Attacking Midfield position between Ngozi Okobi, Rasheedat Ajibade and Tony Payne will definitely have more rooms to operate..

Regina Otu should be Randy no.1 substitute in Midfield for either Ucheibe or Ayinde if she doesn't start ahead of any of them when the need arises...
I agree with this 100%.

Vote wisely, vote the American standard president who is educated, neat, well spoken, intelligent, prudent with resources and a lover of the youth.
No wonder all the educated youth want to die for obi.
Once obi becomes president, kiss unemployment bye bye.

Siemens
AkK
2nd Niger Bridge
Rehabilitation of refineries, etc.

What da hell was he doing in his first term? Same man took 6 months to appoint his first ministers.

Hi Schemerkhiz, was gonna ask you, speaking of the wing back positions, was Patricia George still injured when the call up was made? Why does the coach overlook her? Ogbonna is a serious weak link there in my opinion.

I never said SA has the same influence as Germany, I said it has the most influence in Africa.... That doesn't mean it has the same influence as China or the US...it simply means it has more influence than any other African country, even if that influence is not that apparent or that big.
But there is no example of it showing that so called influence. What policies of South Africa have influenced the continent or the AU for example. That is the question.

Bully MTN? If you wanted to bully MTN you could've kicked them out of Nigeria or nationalised them.... But no you gave them a slap on the wrist for potentially aiding Boko Haram......MTN has bullied the Nigerian government, not the other way around
The fines on MTN and Multichoice made them complain bitterly almost involving your Government in the matter. If they wanted to leave at that point, they would have done so and the Nigerian Government was aware they could decide to leave as a consequence before taking that decision. Some South African companies have left or sold their companies to Nigerian firms afterall.
