And the camry above due to it's direct purchase from company I have been dealing with for past years, I bought them very cheap, when I say cheap, I mean very cheap. If converted to Naira, around 1.9m, you will never get that in the open market, its very expensive.

1.Shipping

2.Custom duties (clearing at sea port)

3. How much u will put the car on hire purchase

Thats like 5Million Naira. Which driver will pay u that kind of money ontime, before you recoup your investment the car is already dead.

Cheap ass Fares, Bad road and fraudulent drivers will certainly affect your investment.

It will take an hardworking driver 4 to 5 years to pay such money. Is this really worth it?

Think well, before u dabble into this.

Thank you, I have decided to add this model, I haved 5 of it already, bough it very cheap due to my previous CyberSecurity advises to the company and I have agreement to be the first to be informed when ever they are selling their used cars. For those that was being so negative before, Before I decided to try this uber, you should know I wanted tobefore, invest Into transport system, my start up was 50 Toyota Hummer buses all Brand New. I was betrayed by family members, as the huge amount of money I invested for them to buy plots of lands for terminals was squandered and I lost part of the swift transfer I already wired to dealer in Japan just to get what is left.

Baba, Camry on higher purchase on uber is waste of funds.

Strictly Corolla at cheapest price is better

I don run this business for 7 years. I have driven 9 different cars on Bolt platform before I settled with thesame Camry. I know what am talking about.

All correct except part of number 5. Even if them give u 10star u Driver Score will not go up. Nothing takes ur driver score up unless u do upto 100trips and start having less cancellations than the first 100 trips or less cancellations after the first 100 trips

But here is the deal:


I filled full tank to cotonou from AP - Abule Odu bus stop (close to isheri roundabout) , & spent 3days.

The full tank cost me 8k from yellow (though at 165 naira) . Then paid 1k (compulsory tip asked by attendants) . Which is 9k

3rd day coming , obviously there was lesser queue along badagry-Seme express filling stations, which was no brainer since it is less populated.

So, how do i have over 1/4 of my fuel left in tank , (just two bar below half tank).

And i still fill 12k.

Mind u : even at 200naira , 12k is 60 liters .


I still have fuel, and corolla tank is just 50 liters!

How come! How?

it doesn't matter, the most important thing is that you don't accept request and cancel later or you accept request rider cancels on you.

This is what BOLT frowns at before they introduced Driver score.

Mind you I don't reject trip

I only choose to not respond. It doesn't make sense to accept trip that would later be cancelled by me or rider. I rather not respond

Far distance request always show option of decline, I have declined so many times and it hasn't affected my driver score for once.

How to avoid Driver Score Dropping

1. Decline far distance request that provides you option to decline, it won't affect your driver score.

2.Do not accept any trip you don't intend doing, which you or rider might later cancel, only accept trips you are willing to do

3. When you accept trip make sure u call rider as fast as possible to verify pick up location and start driving immediately to their Pick up. Riders considers drivers like this to be more serious and professional. They hardly cancel request. Don't wait for them to call you.

4. When you slide arrive at riders Pick up location and delay is taking alot of time than usual, don't hesitate to cancel and indicate that client did not show. If Rider decides to cancel and not embark on the trip after waiting, it might affect your driver score. The maximum time I wait is 15mins, except rider begs me to wait.


5. Make sure your Car is neat and in good condition, provide good customers service.

Rating is now integrated in Driverscore

The lower your rating the lower your driver score

The higher your rating, the higher your driver score.


6. Avoid unnecessary argument and fight with rider. If they make complain about your service, that's a massive a drop on your driver score.

I want to invest on Uber, money will be remmitted into my mum's account as this i'm doing without me having to be sending money down from Uk to Nigeria all the time.

Last year it caused me embarrassment from me not able to send her money due to cbn restricting the easy method i use, like through luno exchange to my naira account then to mum.

So i want to invest in Uber and i need drivers, i must please, i can import camrys or venzas for it, not that i want a neck killimg profits, i just want inflow of money for mum, so i do not have to be worried offshores where i'm always at work.

And please i will demand security deposit , not that i need this, but to be sure the person is ready before i ship vehicles over.
I will rig my vehicles with trackers and vicinity hindrance softwares just in case.

Each vehicle i imported, driver can keep it after making 50% profits from the purchase price and custom duties and shipping dues paid.

Camry or venza i will mostly import , price(including shipping and dues) of it with shipping will not be up 3million from here for the camry (spider), and the venza will not be above 5million because i'm getting it from company i have JV with for their first used official vehicles.

Thank you and that my proposal, Business is all about risk, But anyone that is honest with me, i will extend it above the Uber contract, i need peace of mind and not oga tire burst.

Venza and Camry are not the right tool for the business at the moment. Cheap 1.6 to 1.8 litre engine cars are suitable. Toyota or Honda is Ok

Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic ( compactable cars) inexpensive to maintain and repair.


As for Reliable world class vehicle trackers. I have them in abundance in stock. Over 8 years in the business of vehicle trackers

3. In App voice call and text messages to contact riders

4. Destination trip feature, like 5 usage limit per day would be fine

5. Dynamic pricing, the app should be able to read base on time and distance. Not fixed price

6. Trip request should be be available to drivers atmost 2km distance, not more than this distance.

7. App should be able to run in the background of drivers phone when they are busy with other apps, like multi tasking.

8. App should have its own map for easier navigation and also work with Google map, Waze etc

9. The App should have inapp payment platform where outstanding and commission can be settle instantly with debit cards, bank transfers, Ussd code etc. Payment should be able to reflect within seconds. Not waiting for days

10. Payment of trip should only be in cash. No card trip. Since commission can be settle with debit cards

11. The app should be able to profile riders with valid phone numbers, NIN and picture to ensure safety of the drivers and to avert Crime perpetuated by Evil riders.

12. The app should have face recognition feature or finger print feature before any driver can login and go online. So

13. There app should have surge feature on the app to ascertain where and when demand is high. Prices should increase when there is demand.

14. The app should have effective and efficient drivers support. With ability to send messages in text and in multi media like pictures and short video clips.

15. The app should have S.O.S or Emergency button incase of danger and any critical situation for rescue and assistance.

. I haven't received email from them regarding trip selection. I do more of inDriver, less of Bolt trips nowadays. Until I get the email Bolt sent to Yeyegbami, I will return fully back to Bolt platform.

Disadvantages of using inDriver and Solution

1. Trip doesn't read in traffic : the price is fixed unlike Bolt. Don't take trip request to traffic prone areas or else you would incur heavy losses. If you must accept request to these areas always check time estimate from pick up point to destination, when request comes in on the app. The time it will take you to get where rider is going is usually indicated in green colour while the time to get where you will pick up rider will show in blue.

You must consider this factors before accepting any trip, it is paramount important and it keeps you afloat in making profit with the app or else you go just go burn fuel for traffic and earn chicken change.

Examples of these areas are places like Apapa, if container or tanker block road for there, you u re finished.

2. Long Idle Time or Waiting time: it takes time to get another trip after you have completed one Alot of drivers Bid and contest for incoming trip request. It's usually like war zone. It's like when MC Oluomo, Tafa Sego and Kunle poly are fighting for Union money. . Its survival of fittest bro. When I was a rookie on inDriver, I had days of bidding for 10 good trip request, I wasn't able to win 1 bid. It was painful and frustrating. There was no Kobo made on inDriver those days.

But the good thing is that you can avert occurrences like this by making sure

- 80% of the trips you do are within central Lagos:
Ikeja, Surulere, Yaba, Lagos Island, Ikoyi, V.I, Lekki or places like 2Km to 8Km close to these areas. Waiting time is usually minimal as volumes of request plenty. Back to back trips are easier around these areas especially when there is surge on Bolt. Large percentage of people use inDriver app in these places. Commercial nerve center of Lasgidi are in this places I mentioned.

Note there is a difference between Lagos and Lasgidi. Do most of your trips within Lasgidi. Better opportunities are in Lasgidi than Lagos. Offline trips on inDriver plenty that will rake you thousands if u package Wella.

- Use a good phone with high internet connection and fast processor speed. If request comes, nah you go first get am before any driver around that environment. Most riders tends to choose the first 3 drivers that pops up base on fare, time and distance. I will recommend iPhone 6S to iPhone 12

That's what I use and it performs well

- Always check the passenger app in any location you find yourself, so that you can position properly to be favourite to be selected when request comes in. Promixity matters alot to riders when the fare or offer is good to them. You are likely going to win the bid. Avoid location where there are plenty drivers so that you can increase your chances of winning a bid when closest request comes in.

3. Improper Address input Don't accept trip without a specified address on app. Riders use this tactics to cheat drivers. since the price is fixed. For example: ICM to Victoria Island, instead of ICM to Amadu Bello way or Ozumba Mbadiwe. The prices are not the same. They put V.I on map inorder to reduce price. Victoria Island on the map is mostly mapped as the outskirts of V.I and fare is cheaper compare to the inner part of V.I. like Oniru, Ligali ayorinde, water cooperation drive and so on. Riders must specify the exact place he or she is going to before accepting or else you will drive extra kilometres and get underpaid.


4. If Rider Cancel, inDriver will deduct money from your wallet, but they will refund you after 10 days. Make sure you have enough money in your wallet to sustain you when riders cancel. At least 1K is good one to pay commission. with 1k, you will have to make 10k before you replenish your wallet again. Commission is just 9.5%. There are going to be some bad days rider will cancel alot and if you don't have enough bar in wallet, it could be frustrating and very annoying.

Note:

Don't click arrive when you ve not arrive to pick up rider, because if the ride didn't eventually happen, if u cancel, inDriver will charge commission without refunding you and that becomes loss on your part.

Don't always cancel, let the rider cancel so that you can always get a refund.



I wish I can go on and on base on personal experience, but time will not permit me.
