ednut1:Na real dream on. Those are the things he wishes for. To dream is human. Na whether the dream dey realistic be the koko. He ahs the video of a colonel's wife on his phone? Bwahahahahahahhahahahahahhahaha School where the rich attend? The teachers in those schools dey hide their profiles because they know how competitive it is to be employed in those schools. Then this one say him dey fvck the students' mothers. ![]() |
SuccessfulRichi: ![]() As insulting as this is, it is the truth. Why should a member of a wealthy group copy the acts of members of a poor group? If their cultural acts were so good, why are they not prosperous? It makes sense for whites to copy Japanese or Chinese, not blacks. It is the same thing as black Africans; you copy the good sides of wealthy societies/groups. That way, you begin to do things differently and, hopefully, stop being poor. But seriously, black Africans don't have the moral right to criticise African Americans. Allow them be. I once had a jaundiced view of them, but after realising say my own people no better pass them, I focused on myself. The last thing I will do is carry another man's problems on my head when I have not finished solving mine. BlackhatMentor:While that is true, the segregation laws ended within the same period many African countries got independence. If we are to go by your argument that we should not be criticised for not developing quickly enough, then it is hypocritical to lampoon AAs when they just got out of segregation policies, which affected income growth. The Isrealis in America have suffered similar faithIsraelis abi Chinese? Israelis are basically white people. If you mean Jews who fled Europe, they benefitted a lot while in the US. However, they, too, faced discrimination during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Harvard openly discriminated against Jewish students. Chinese faced terrible acts, but unlike AAs, Chinese were not enslaved. I must commend the Chinese culture, though, for being hard-working, pragmatic and disciplined. That is what we should copy. If those black Americans had sense they would have been the main voice of Africa internationally. No, they shouldn't. The last time that happened, there was a civil war in Liberia as they were the cause. Also, they have nothing to gain from being the main voice. Once you give them that privilege, they will impose their cultural norms on black Africans who will oppose them as we are culturally different. It is every man for himself. |
Looking at OP's profile history, I am willing to bet two things: - He is a fanatical member of the so-called ADOS (American Descendants of Slaves): This group of people see themselves as the native black population since they were taken to the US against their will and suffered humiliations to be what they are today. They see themselves as different from other black groups such as Caribbean or Africans who went to the US willingly and did not experience the heinous slave atrocities against black people. - A white supremacist: This one loves to put a spanner in the works in order to achieve divide and conquer against black groups from different places. A divided house is bound to fall as it is susceptible to influences by outsiders. The ADOS is promoted by Tariq Nasheed, a drifter who once supported white supremacists and now tries to create the next big thing - all aimed at getting money from donors. He once told Nigerians during one of the ever-tiring diaspora wars to support them financially if they (Nigerians) don't want to be harassed online by his fanatical followers. That said, there are many misconceptions about OP's tirade: African Americans, or AA for short, are not lazy as peddled. If they were, they won't be the richest set of black people globally. Sure, they have issues about their communities, some of which are as a result of ill-fated policies which are not working, destruction of the family system and historical humiliation. Just like every other racial group, they have their faults. However, I strongly oppose that black Africans should be the one demonising them as we are not any better. The same issues they face, we experience them, and with excruciating poverty at the same time. It is like someone from Borno mocking a Somalian. It behoves on us as black Africans to ensure Africa works as that will be the reason AAs would want to respect us and maybe work with us in the future. As it is, they don't see any gain in working with us - our cultures differ, ditto issues. The major problem facing black people is crude racial discrimination, which they, too, suffer from, although only mildly, as they are Americans. Once they leave America, especially to places with few black people, they are considered Africans. And that is what they don't like - experiencing slurs simply because they are black even when they don't deserve those slurs as they did not cause it. Unfortunately, the world does not work like that. Black people are very poor, and this is because sub-Saharan Africa - home to the black race - is notoriously impoverished. Before the rise of China, a Taiwanese would have been treated as a poor person even though Taiwan, a then Asian Tiger, was prosperous. But today, every Chinese is respected because the populous Chinese nation is wealthy. For racial discrimination against black people, whether from Barbados or Ecuador or Atlanta, to subside drastically, the most populous black environment has to be rich. No one disrespects a rich person because of the economic consequences. However, poor people are either disrespected or pitied; the former often happens. I have a thread on it: https://www.nairaland.com/5886610/racism-against-blacks-reduce-drastically P.S. Discrimination is a human phenomenon. To discriminate is human. Humans are tribal. |
BlackhatMentor:If na by this, you better buy a diary and jot your nonsense! Who the fvck are you to dictate which thread people should comment on? Na your papa get Nairaland? ![]() |
Xxxxtentacion2:It is not propaganda. It is actually the reality, and for it to have run for three consecutive years is commendable. The next step would be further processing of the non-oil exports. |
Nazgul:The above are very important questions intending couples should ask themselves. They are hard and some sound very uncomfortable, but odikwa necessary. I have seen a lot as a result of low finances from a man's perspective in marriages, and I will forever remain on the side of a man being financially capable before and during marriage. Yes, he might lose his job or the economy goes into recession, but let it be that at the onset you were prepared. Most importantly, to counter unforeseen circumstances, bear the number of children you fit take care of. Neither children nor marriage are blessings. Religious people will argue, but that is my belief. |
Gbadugbakun:While I agree with the rest, the bold is quite tricky. I understand the place of both couples, but a woman who is a sit-at-home mom is adding greater value than just being described as a jobless wife. Obviously, the woman should be educated, both schooled and philosophical to be a proper SAHM. However, in a case where the man can afford to take care of the family, there is nothing wrong with having a wife who stays at home taking care of the children and housefront. Taking care of children is a job in itself, at least for your lineage and society. Properly raised children contribute positively to the wider society. The global economy has distorted that system and one of its major results is low birth rates because women joined the workforce. This is not to say women joining the workforce is bad, but when both couples are working and abdicated the job of raising children to daycare schools, then even the money both are working goes to daycare institutions. It is for this reason Xi of China wants Chinese women to reduce working hours and stay at home so that birth rates rise. As for daycare schools, one of the reasons immigrant families in developed countries have higher birth rates is because their parents step in to assist in taking of their grandchildren, aka Omugwo. Again, nothing wrong with a wife who works, but nothing wrong as well with a woman who stays at home raising the children and managing the homefront. Each marriage is unique. |
BigDawsNet:The first is not possible as he does not have the required qualifications. Also, he is not a South African, which the UK accepts as truck drivers. Two, only South Africa and Eswatini are eligible countries from Africa for that visa program: https://www.uscis.gov/working-in-the-united-states/temporary-workers/h-2b-temporary-non-agricultural-workers OP should attend a federal school, preferably study a science-oriented course, get good grades, and ace GRE and TOEFL. Then, apply via study visa. Alternatively, he studies Spanish for a year or two and goes to Argentina - tuition-free. MODIFIED: ednut1:Thanks for the correction. I knew Jamacia was a member, but I was surprised I did not see it. Na the only left column I bin dey look. I need to close for the day. |
guobe:A well-to-do man's world* Even fellow men will criticise a poor man who cheats, and rightfully so. |
guobe:It being conspicuous is an African or developing world thing. But generally, rich/wealthy husbands who cheated are not overly criticised by netizens simply because they are rich. Chinese don't lampoon rich men who cheat. They will criticise such men in cases where they (the men) lose a lot in divorce judgements. Even the French don't view infidelity the way others do. It is an American thing as a result of Evangelical Christians. Religion aside, most cultures globally don't see anything wrong with a man who has sex with many women provided he is financially capable. |
descarado:This reminds me of a comment I saw on AfroNation's Instagram page where a black complained about the bold. How black men worship white women even in the presence of black women, which she found very shameful. Although she was criticised because she married a white man, but in her defence, she stated she had to do so as she had no black suitor. Other black women corroborated her statement. I don't why, but white women no dey freak me. Maybe Japanese women, but not white women. |
folake4u:As we can see, he knew what he did. There was no excuse whatsoever. He clearly knew it. Good riddance to utter rubbish! The parents would have made more money and had peace of mind if they had reared goats instead of sending him to the UK. At 30 years, no commonsense whatsoever. Terrible! |
Shikena:Maybe we should stop, you know, since we're said to have low self esteem or being Uncle Ruckus. After all, I don't have a skin in the game by being a resident in the UK. So, if dem like, they should rape all young white women in the UK. Seven years in jail? By then, I should have honed by Chinese speaking skills, attend Formula One races in Singapore, mingle with Chinese business men and attend parties in Macau and Hong Kong. After his release, he would register on Nairaland to curse western countries and describe how bad they're for intending emigrees. As usual, I would always be here to remind and gloat at them. |
In an statement from the victim that was read to the court the woman described the significant impact the attack has had on her mental health and on her life generally, and she said she was now very distrusting of men.C'mon sweetie! Why are you now distrustful of men? Recently, I was told you should trust men, especially black men, who I'm sure that's what you meant but generalised by stating men so you won't be accused of being a racist. C'mon baby girl, trust all men. You have defenders, solid and ever ready. ![]() |
obailala:Avoid DRUNK WOMEN* Or are black women una practicing boards? |
What do we've here? The most desirable men from West Africa have struck again. What do supporters of this act have to say in his defence? Make una continue sha. Na una sabi. Again, in wealthy Asian countries I trust. This nonsensical culture cannot continue to happen in Singapore or Japan. They know how to treat such modafvckers. |
victorclean:Who are you to decide how much a company like MTN should pay? Are you a shareholder or a company executive? At what threshold are you using to decide? MTN is better than Chinese, Indian and Lebanese company but all are enslaving Nigerian workers here. You are mis-using words there. That is where your lawmakers come in to ensure new laws are set up to prevent such. Also, working employees long hours is prevalent in countries with plenty of people. Maybe Nigerians should stop having children scattered everywhere. After all, if people no too plenty, where MTN was see to "enslave" them? Also, that word is too heavy because the workers have the right to resign. After all, you mentioned a security staff can receive 100K monthly. Is the person chained to the post? |
saintnegroid:Quite a pity your parents squandered their hard-earned resources sending you to school instead of rearing goats. A company providing services that is not mandatory for you to patronise is tagged milking Nigerians. Bloody illiterate! |
KingCold:I just want to tell you South Africans, NEVER take the rants, chants and tears of tribalistic Nigerians seriously. They are the last people ever to accuse you people of discrimination. Whenever they accuse you folks of xenophobia, tell them that in Nigeria, governors deport fellow Nigerians within Nigeria. Inform them that fellow Nigerians enter farms to butcher innocent farmers and wipe out villages. Inform them that whenever others make a comment based on their immediate environment, they are told by others to "go back to Anambra". Also, babies from certain ethnic groups have "tainted blood". Never be gaslighted or deceived by Nigerians that you South Africans are discriminatory. At least, you people are the wealthiest in Africa. Nigerians are the poorest in the world after defeating India to be in the pole position. Don't be gaslighted. They are too poor and wretched to accuse others of what they do for a living. cc: Lionessza6 |
victorclean:Yet you wish MTN, not the bold, exit Nigeria. Nnna eh. Una no dey try oooo |
victorclean:But the firm has a graduate trainee program, which I believe will work as permanent staff. Abi no be so ![]() That said, the business arrangement makes sense as MTN having permanent employees, even to the point of MTN's stores do not make business sense. Nigeria's large population also contributes - cheap labour. |
gerrardomendes:Adamawa state has a significant population of Christians. Apart from the one under Boni Haruna, all other deputy governors in the state have been Christians. |
Charmingrascal:They were never dating. Women are hypergamous and prefer older men, not their agemates. |
saintnegroid:How has a company providing services over the years milked Nigerians? You are sounding like a communist. |
victorclean:How can a company that has Nigeria as one of her biggest markets not have an asset in the same market? ![]() |

masseratti:There is nothing like a manufacturing factory for phones. Phones are assembled with parts from different manufacturers of those parts. So, a screen manufacturer is different from the battery manufacturer. Then, every part goes to the brand's assembling facility or authorised partner. Upon assembling, it gets shipped out. The same applies to cars. Cars are not manufactured but assembled. Wigwe's source of wealth is from banking, and it is easier to venture into tertiary education than assembling electronics when there are fierce competitors in Asia. No country in Africa can out-do the East and now South East Asian countries in electronics production and assembling. Even the West cannot. |
Swiftgrp:Tola of GTB founded Daywaterman Schools in Ogun where he comes from. So, Wigwe is expected to site his in Rivers state. |
blowjohn:Don't get it twisted, this is business not philanthropy. Please know the difference. |
OfeAchi:He is a business man. The university is expected to generate profits due to charging high fees, and maybe research collaborations. Ebonyi is a state government. Apples to oranges. |
Abaman001:That is nice. The region gets a reputable private university. So, those within its periphery can send their kids there instead of far-flung places. |
obaidan:Yay! ![]() Apart from a few state universities such as LASU, Gombe state and maybe RSU, Access does not employ outside first and second generation federal universities and private universities. So, I am dead sure this new school would be among approved universities to employ from. |
