ednut1:Fair enough. I understand this as a reason then. To me if one is considering retiring in Nigeria one small bungalow no go bad. When i see how much my parents and relatives spend on maintaining their house omo i just weak. Interlocking repairs, electrical repairs, generator servicing, leaking roof , leaking POP , painting , inverter battery replacement etc. with retirement funds habaDepending on your personal arrangement, inherit it or a part. BTW, do people still build gigantic houses these days considering the few number of children, and with the children leaving home after university? |
Poleski:That is exactly my point - you have no issues with them being transgender but have an issue with them participating in sporting events. Were you not taught in school that you don't give certain people an inch so they don't attempt to take a mile? The moment you agree to them being transgender, then expect them to participate in whatever they deem fit. You cannot change the goalpost in the middle of the game. BTW, regarding your first line of sentence, no one has the monopoly of being petty. |
ednut1:Anyone with full residency in the abroad, aka citizenship or permanent residency, who buys a property in Nigeria does so strictly from an emotional point of view. There is no financial benefit whatsoever in buying a property in Nigeria. None whatsoever! For the sake of moving back to a black dominated country as one grows older, I say that Nigeria is not the only black dominated country in the world. The Gods forbid I buy a property in Nigeria. |
luminouz:Let me be civil with you this time: - How does a Nigerian male in East Asia connote being a simp? So, what could have been the difference if I was in Western Europe? - Why do you think I am interested in Nairaland girls? If I am not mistaken, I have only PMed one "f" moniker since being a Nairalander, which was for a health-related question. I rarely send PMs these days unless it is for monetary/business purposes. Even when I was in Nigeria, I rarely did. FYI, I have a mother and sister who love me. I am not looking for love on Nairaland o. - What I comment on Nairaland is strictly borne from my observations and research. I am not here to make anyone happy. One major thing about me: I detest dishonesty and hypocrisy, so I use every opportunity to expose people's dishonesty and hypocrisies. |
Nigerian elites and their supporters are terrible people! Deep down, terrible lots! I detest them! Useless modafvckers! |
Ndi and Awon I can get a job with LMIA waiver as a Nigerian ![]() Tomorrow, expect to see some of them come to Nairaland castigating the Western world without telling us they migrated illegally and were deported. I will be here waiting patiently. ![]() |
Fountainofyouth:, You are spot on this. The last bolded shows how extremely petty you are, you sound like those street gossips that when told to narrate her side of the story, she'd twist things for people to sympathise with her, what has being childless got to do with a mother's preference on her own children? Why do you feel threatened and pained by that all of a sudden? People have pointed out your fault here, yet you feel you're right, why do you choose to be blind to your own faults?I did not even read that part. She must be very petty then. She being childless has nothing to do with the post. I just have this dislike for people who born plenty children they cannot take care of. I no wan sabi anything else. Once the children are plenty, I pin every fault of the parents to that very act. Based on OP's rant about women having children, I have guessed how she is. ![]() |
pansophist:First thing in enjoyment with East Asians is alcohol. Once that is cleared, you will enjoy their company. ![]() |
1Sharon:No. Seun is at best agnostic or formerly atheist but was threatened by Nairaland Muslims when Nairaland Christians lampooned Islam in its strongest terms during the Boko Haram onslaught against Christians. In a bid to pacify them, he put the banner you have before commenting on Islamic topics. That reduced it, as many would rather not comment than have that banner on their profiles. |
VikingKing:I talk am. She is Pro-Hamas, BUT I am dead sure she has never protested against the Fulani herdsmen scrouge in Nigeria or when the Nigerian army killed many Igbo young men seeing in the name of fighting ESN which was formed to fight you guess it? Fulani herdsmen. Don't mind the hypocrite! |
pansophist: ![]() That is it! I did not want to write it initially. When I am told "I like you", I quickly counter with "I don't have money o". |
Poleski:If you have no issue with them, why are you having an issue with them participating in sports? Transgender is total nonsense! It goes against basic biology. I am glad this is happening. If I had enough money, I will implement David Hundeyin's solution: enter DRC or Congo Brazzaville, pack plenty young men that are poor and sponsor their transgender process. Train them in different sports and ship them to every sporting tournament accepting trans athletes. By the time these black people have won enough medals, nobody go tell them to change the laws to as they were. Since they want to be mad, teach them how to be mad! |
But so-called leftists and Ndi woke people were warned by actual men that transgender is anti-woman and does more harm than good to women's rights. I want to see the reactions of those ever-loving Democrat Party's Nigerian supporters in the US to this news. Y'all complain of racism, but expect to see your daughters fight against men who disguise as women. |
pansophist:Life tarries eh. I will invite you to East Asia let's talk more on top eating good food and sightseeing. ![]() |
pansophist:lol We were secondary classmates. Ever since I have not had any crush on women. I just admire and move on. With my experiences so far, I am even cynical when a woman claims to like me. |
pansophist:To think that I really like her, especially as she was and remains my crush. But her love for money eh |
Seems we have a Hamas supporter here. I really wonder why black Africans are so bothered about people who don't give a hoot about them. How many Palestinians or Israelis have offered succour to victims of Muslims suffering in Nigeria, or victims of Fulani herdsmen butchering? As for Seun and Nairaland, nothing will happen. You are not the first, and neither would you be the last. Nairaland as it is the best way to understand how Nigerians think, and say. If you want a tu.sh or controlled form of what Nigerians think, head to Reddit/Nigeria where they believe every Nigerian has constant electricity and uses electric cookers. Also, you could try TwitterNG, but it is almost looking like Nairaland these days. No idea about Facebook and Instagram though. Nairaland is what Nigeria is. This is how you fellow citizens think. The earlier you get to understand this, the better. |
I agree with almost all, with a caveat. The aspect of being a vendor can lead to hasty generalisation, especially if it is a well established business. That said, the demand for their services is the reason for their presence and predominance. Nigerian men LOVE sex A LOT, and will spend any amount to have it. Demand does not exist in a vacuum: https://www.nairaland.com/7684230/how-reduce-hook-ups-nigeria |
pansophist:I know one like that. She only, or seemingly, respects men who have money. Whether she is into hookup, I have no idea. But her love for money, I believe, is the reason. Sometimes, the way some older men act towards her in a bid to have sex could be another reason. I know what older Nigerian men can do just to put the head inside. They can be embarrassing times. |
advanceDNA:I beg to differ, it does not mean the same thing. Mouse are used because their biological makeup is similar to humans. Also, it is the best model to begin with as mice are not humans. Using humans comes at a later stage when the drug is at an advanced development stage. The thing science has that makes it better is reproducibility, optimization, refinement, becos of years of consistent research...At least, we agree on one it. Juju cannot be equal to scientific research when someone in Korea or Uruguay cannot produce the same results using the same materials. There is no point elevating its brilliance when the people doing it are poorer than those doing something different. Pple no dey come together to research juju .. but once in a while u will see one juju man wey sabi because he don research....u go know say juju dey work....If we are to praise Juju for being so powerful, we should research it to our benefit. Otherwise, juju is pure evil and nonsense. What is the importance when those who don't practice it are richer than us and live better lives? |
ElliotP:Most young Nigerian males are very dishonest when they lampoon young women for marrying older women. At least, evolutionary, that's normal. However, it's only black African men who marry old white women simply as a result of poverty. Nothing else! Even poorer Asians don't marry old white women. Only black African men do. Tomorrow, the same men will criticise young black African women for marrying older black African men. That's the difference: the young women marry older men of the same race. Our men are marrying older WHITE women. Something no other set of men do in the world. It's not love, but poverty. Fine by me as a way to escape poverty. But the hypocrisies and lies should stop from young Nigerian men. |
Ginaz:This is where the problem started. You don't help irresponsible people, especially those with plenty of children they cannot afford to take proper care of. My mom has done the same as you did, but I warned her not and when everything backfired, I told her "but I told you?" People who have plenty of children they cannot afford to take care of are irresponsible, and as a responsible person, you should never be responsible for their irresponsibility. Stay away from that woman and her household. Anything happens to the children, and she will hold you accountable. By then, it would have become too late. |
seguno2:That is the thing! My mom was praising her elder cousin for being a prolific patent medicine practitioner, and I asked, "why is she not rich, let alone richer than you, since her products cure all sorts of ailments? If her products work as acclaimed, why has no one conducted thorough research to unravel the curative abilities and commercialize the results? You cannot tell me her products cure epilepsy, yet she is not rich. It can never be me." Her reply? Well, that is why you are here. Solve it and become rich. I took up the challenge because the praise for the woman was too much to bear. |
advanceDNA:LOL! I usually find their views funny sha. But mt own be say why we never use our juju develop ourselves or solve major problems we have. Other societies don progress so far. Apparently, the juju does not work in entirety or is just pure evil. |
safarifarms:Too bad for them. Thank you for your honesty. Things were so bad then, but from your tale, they were even badder. ![]() |
LocalFARMERS:They do. Some people have left the business because of the constant kidnappings. What surprises me is how foreign firms succeed admist such. Maybe they have backup security and superior weaponry. BTW, where exactly is this Fish Market located within Eket/Oron/Ibeno? The name, too, please. |
naijamanyoutube:No wonder they don't succeed compared to Indian, Chinese and locals' businesses. How can a business, no matter how small, have no online presence in 2023? Tomorrow, na them go first complain about racism. |
Former Salesforce chief executive Bret Taylor, former US Secretary of the Treasury Larry Summers, and Quora founder Adam D’Angelo will be part of the new board at the AI startup, it said. Taylor will serve as the chair of the board, the startup saidThe investors behind OpenAI must be so influential and wealthy to have that man on its board. This means OpenAI is an important company to watch. This is the first time in my follow-up on corporate America, that I have read how the removal of a company's head got so much condemnation from investors and senior employees, and the company quickly rescinded its decision. |
Karleb:No be say I dey criticise men wey dey date, but I am yet to see the financial benefit or any benefit whatsoever. He is now spending for two whereas before, he was spending for one. To what end? No be Nigerian men dey faithful sef, they still chook neck and preek outside. So, what is the gain in having a girlfriend? |
OkCornel:This is just the preamble. I don't like commenting on these kinds of threads because they are things I have envisaged. When I saw the headline, I just smiled and looked away. Nothing surprises me again. aljharem:Who do we have here? OkCornel, why act surprised when you see a post like the above? Expect more to come. |
inoki247:There are Igbo Muslims, especially from Ebonyi and Imo. However, the population of Muslims being Igbos remains the lowest among the major ethnic groups in Nigeria. |
