The truth is: men are naturally the spenders in a relationship. Due to women's hypergamy, they gravitate towards men who have more money than they (women) do. Most men would/do not have a problem with this. However, when women exhibit traits of Ndi feminism and macho-ness in themselves, it becomes an issue. You cannot be displaying traits of masculinity as a woman, yet demand/desire feminine treatment. It does not work that way.
So, how was she coping with her beauty and bathing products before you both started dating? That said, I am yet to see the benefits in getting into a relationship, at least in Nigeria. Honestly, from your chats and responses, what benefit do you get? I am yet to see one. |

Swiftgrp: @Oneloveyo,
You are indeed very intelligent and observant. I saw the big lie told here by the creepy OP of this insidious thread and was about to respond before I saw your brilliant post. ainst Mercy Johnson and her husband (for simply affiliating themselves with APC in Kogi and Edo States) and that was published here on NL, to the social media attacks on Pastor Paul Adefarasin, Pastor Adeboye, Segalinks, Joke Silva-Jacobs, the Chicago State Uni online mob attacks, the social media nuisance attacks on the Governor of the State of Illinois and lots more. Enough of the guilt-tripping here. There's enough online evidence at my disposal going back to over 20 years ago that show the clear FACT that it is the Ibos who started the ethnic bigotry and online bullying against the Yorubas and other ethnic groups in Nigeria simply because of the Nigerian Civil War events. This repeated insolence and divisive threads like these will NOT be accepted.
My condolences go to the family of Posh Mama.
Cc: @Ednut Before history gets distorted, let me state the genesis of the hate-filled politics Agbadorians created in Nigeria. In the lead-up to the 2011 elections, Punch Newspaper was already exhibiting signs of tribalism against Jonathan's administration. Then, during the subsidy removal in 2012, stalwarts of today's APC, then known as ACN/AC whatever, launched a series of calumny against Jonathan's government, accusing him of all sorts. APC supporters carried coffins with Jonathan's name inscribed on them. They had his pictures and tied them to goats! They burnt his pictures like Islamists burn Israelis and America's flags. Then came the Chibok girls scam, one of the biggest played globally. The deputy governor of Borno is Nigeria's VP today. Jonathan was vilified, mocked, cursed, maligned and thrown all sorts of names. As someone whose parent is from the same region as Jonathan, I was shocked reading the tribal-laced insults Jonathan received. This is aside from Buhari weeping crocodile tears when he lost in 2011; his irate supporters went on a rampage, burning churches and slaughtering people, including innocent corp members. Buhari had to be begged THREE days after the results were announced to call his belligerent supporters to order before calm was restored. This got the intervention of foreign bodies because Buhari did not listen to any Nigerian elite. His supporters burnt everywhere burnable, something Obedients have not done, nor has Peter Obi instructed them to do. Some of the words against Jonathan received were: - "A druken fisherman" - Wole Soyinka - "A shhepotatmus" - Wole Soyinka describing Patience Jonathan. The same Wole Soyinka mockingly described the fedora hat Jonathan wore as an Ijaw man. More here: https://www.nairaland.com/1357171/soyinka-embarrassment-admirers-patience-jonathan; https://www.nairaland.com/605766/rascals-govt-jonathan-drunk-fishermanIgbos were the only large group of Nigerians who defended Jonathan, whose administration had high economic growth. Igbos, too were mocked and derided for supporting Jonathan. Then came the 2015 election, which had Buhari elected. Agbadorians used his tenure to mock, gloat and curse Igbos. They were elated when Buhari used the military to terrorise the southeast, including murdering hundreds of innocent young men and even having them drink muddy water. See here: https://www.nairaland.com/4052484/soldiers-order-ipob-members-swimIn 2023, senior government officials used the term "Chinedu" to describe GRV, a man whose father has a long history in Lagos simply because his mom and wife are Igbos. That was even small. Another government official, Bayo Onanuga, was delighted to tweet that Igbos have been taught a lesson in Lagos. Before the lessons were taught, Mc Oluomo, a government-backed thug, came out in public, threatening to beat and kill any Igbo person who voted for Labour Party. During this period, another government official by name Mr. Jubril Gawat organised a rally, "My Lagos, not your Lagos" a few days before the state election. During this same period, we have had Agbadorians call for a re-cap of the civil war atrocities where over three million Igbos were killed. A pharmacy store retailer in Osun did so by tweeting it to the whole world. After the victory of Adeleke in Osun state, shops owned by Igbos were razed down by irate youths associated with the APC. During the Lagos election, Yorubas, who seemingly looked like Igbos, were flogged by fellow Yorubas. Igbos and other ethnic minorities who looked like Igbos were flogged, killed and had charms thrown at them. I recalled an Ibibio man by name Aniedi was beaten to death. Who knows Aniedi could have hated Igbos, but he got beaten to death because he looked like an Igbo man. The youth leader Dayo Israel championed a "Ronu" cause and re-chanted civil war slogans during his campaigns. To crown it all, Agbadorians went on a rampage, stating that a union between an Igbo person, most likely a woman, and a Yoruba person, most likely a male, would produce children with "tainted blood". They even did descriptions (picture attached) and created threads with it. One of the champions of that thread is over 40 years old and resides in a nondescript area in Peckham, London. So before anyone says Obedients were toxic, you have to look at the genesis of it all. APC introduced the politics of crude bitterness and hate into Nigeria. They should learn to take their own medicine and eat their vomit!

At least, if you want to die, die a dignified death. Which one be a pint costs N50K? When my sister celebrated her birthday, I wired 60K to her. When my brother had an injury and the doctor recommended X-ray, I countered and specified it must be MRI. I wired 150K. My sister plans to do her passport, and because it is the one of 5 years validity, I said no; do the one of 10 years, and I will top money to what you have saved. Then here you have an Agbadorian lamenting that a pint of blood is 50K. Pathetic but well-deserved. Seeing them suffer gives me immense joy. As I have stated: Gerrard59: I am really glad my people are holding grudges and reminding people of the posts they made. If he had supported Tinubu with a clear mind, no issues. But when you mock other ethnic groups, lampoon Peter Obi unjustly (who is way richer than him), anything you see, take it like that. Just as the monkeys who cursed Jonathan and faced economic repercussions when Buhari dealt with them. I am sure those donkeys would have praised Buhari to high heavaens if he had not won the election. Talmbout, "Buhari is the best president Nigeria never had".
Going forward, people should learn from the 2023 elections. Hold grudges, don't forgive or forget. Hold those grudges till you die! Don't pity Nigerians who voted for Emi Lokan whatsoever. When people play stoopid games, they should be allowed to win stoopid prizes. That is the fairest thing to do. |

Studying medicine in the UK is pointless when the country imports doctors from developing countries to fill up spaces. The money spent to study medicine is not commensurate with the earnings after medical school. It is a reason many young Brits are either not studying medicine in the UK or, after their studies, move to the US or Australia to work and earn higher salaries. Alternatively, they move to Eastern Europe where fees are low and medical programs have pretty high standards. https://www.economist.com/britain/2022/11/03/young-britons-head-to-eastern-europe-to-train-as-doctorsThe current model makes sense for Nigeria: study in Nigeria and move to the UK to work. |

The worst set of Africans that are willing to forfeit millions of dollars and euros just to run home after money laundering. Most of us with all the education, skills and culture Black Americans wished for, are looking for your first million, sell properties, land and your children in disguise for "good education" just to run out of the villages you call ZOO. You risk death penalties in Asia, organ transplant crossing desert and sea while the most arable land in the world is left to fallow with blood of your country men, women and children.
Wow! We have the nerve to point to African Americans sold into slavery out of greed in exchange for mirrors all kinds of name pointing one finger while four soiled point back to us. Na my argument be this. We don't have the moral right to lampoon them as we are not any better. If we had built a prosperous and functioning country, then we could beat our chest to point out their flaws. But wait o. Apart from the United States where Africans are doing better than African Americans, name one country, just one country where you are doing better than them. Please do.
And that includes your own country NIGERIA! Are you better off than African Americans in Nigeria? Black African migrants don't out-perform AAs. Women are also futuristic and calculative, as a man in Nigeria you can die easily or lose your source of income, your wife and kids will become stranded, Husband's family can also send them packing.
Women also want the best outcome for their kids most times sometime men leave it to chance and say what will be will be. There are people all around us that have BSC and master's but are unemployed. The children of many fellow immigrants in Canada are outperforming the Canadians in school and they will get scholarships easily . Is that a bad thing to want

There's a Black American philosopher and economist named Thomas Sowell who I think has the same view, that it's not always best to aim for an Ivy League university education as a starting point.
Generally too, contemporary data is starting to show DIMINISHED returns accruing from university education generally in the USA.
