emmaodet: I love this and will really take advantage of YouTube going forward. Thanks for this idea. Many people think until they have good cash before they travel or go on tours but this is a big lie because if you wait until you have enough before traveling, you will never have that enough and one day you look in the mirror and see that you are either old or already in the grave. There will always be a bill to pay everyday so you have to squeeze out from it and catch your fun and experiences.
There is no perfect time. Also, i noticed that many nigerians go on vacations alot but you won't know this until you change your circle. I am in a tourist group and i know what is going on. There are 10 nigerians presently in rwanda on vacation and will so be back soon while many more have gone or yet to go to countries like kenya, rwanda, south africa, Mauritius, Seychelles etc Nigerians are really goingon vacations.
Do enjoy your trips sis. Good to know. I understand how the reception might be, but do they share their experiences? I follow some black folks on Instagram (Nigerians and other black Africans) who share their experiences, and they are very lovely and interesting. Your first paragraph is apt! Even if na twice annually, after having emergency savings o admist the retrenchment these days. |

Klass99: Lol, I have a few suspicions why this happens but like you OP I am curious to read the candid thoughts of the opposite sex, for the ones who engage respectfully, fostering a respectful exchange of thoughts and ideas. My thoughts;
1. He became emotionally attached and possibly fell in love with the mistress. The narrative that men are logical and not emotional is a false and inaccurate one, as far as I know, all humans are emotional beings irrespective of gender.
2. The mistress married a man who is far better than him, in looks, class, charisma, decorum and wealth. A group of Nigerian men were surveyed and one of the top things that really hurts them and they dislike or hate, is for an ex to end up with a man who is wealthier and better looking than them - e dey pain . This survey was on that new reality TV show Bisola hosts.
3. The sex was fantastic and mind blowing, he is possibly moaning the loss of it and the loss of what he felt was a good arrangement for his benefit. I think most men would prefer to call the shots even in an extra-marital affair, where they get to decide when an affair ends, they want to be the ones moving on from it first, perhaps to another mistress or back to fidelity and honouring their vows.
4. Some don't think highly of their mistresses or wish them well. They just want her available for their sexual needs, so it kind of rocks their world (like divorce does) when a woman is able to move on to something better in life, like an international Masters Degree, a prestigious job or marriage. Brilliant submission! Absolutely brilliant! The bold resonates more with me. |

Borntosmoke: Op pls just ignore my moniker. Is it possible to go to Switzerland for the purpose of getting a job or doing masters. If you know how I can go about it. Can you link. It is my dream to go to Switzerland one-day. My love for the country is out of this world. And also did they speak English?? Yes, it is possible. Your money and/or work skills matter. If you are very good at what you do and have a high-demand skill, you can get a job while outside the country. But it is very competitive because there are less than 5000 visas available to companies in Switzerland to employ foreigners. Before employing foreigners, employers have to advertise the job to Swiss first, then if there is no candidate, have to notify the government that she cannot see candidates for the opening. Mind you, this 5000 includes EU citizens and the rest of the world. The dominant language is Swiss-German, a slightly different form of German. French is also important and official, ditto Italian. But Swiss-German is the dominant language. English applies to mostly software jobs. For Masters, while Swiss universities are relatively affordable compared to peers in the UK and US, the cost of living in the country is very high. Items are priced higher in Switzerland than countries abut to her. Non-EU/EEA students can only begin work after six months of their program. So, if your program is one year, you can only work for half a year. |

I enjoyed the account of your experience in Canada and I appreciate that you didn't spew negativity, trash talk or diss Nigeria, your home country. I can't tell you how sickening and off putting that behaviour has become from Nigerian diasporans who do it.
I have a friend overseas who migrated on a scholarship for study around the same time you did. Every conversation and interaction with her mentally and emotionally drains me, leaving me exhausted afterwards. She is full of the sort of bile, negativity, criticism and judgment of Naija I hate hearing. This is someone who gets moral and financial support back home, from Nigerians still living in Nigeria. Yet, her diss of an entire country and its people never ends, no be ment be that?
I particularly like the bolded parts of your text and wish you well on your new life in Canada. Thank you for not joining the herd or being part of the horrible statistics of Naija trash talkers. She is being hypocritical and has not analysed the entire situation very well. Although, I can understand her issues with Nigeria, but Nigeria does have some good parts - good weather, communal system, people who look like you etc. My major issues are the poor infrastructure and lack of security. She said they are just friends now. And they have been helping her and inspiring her positively.
That she really cannot cut them off. That I'm giving her condition to cut off her friends before I can marry her.
She seems to like a good lady but at the same time, I'm not really sure what she could be doing with those guys now or in the future. Except you would be with her 24/7, that is not going to work. What if she saves the contacts in Google Drive? Her diary? OK, she deletes their contacts, does it mean those men have deleted hers? Are you going to be following her everywhere she goes? What makes you think she cannot have sex with them even if she deletes their contacts? She has to earn your trust, but deleting contacts or severing communication cannot be a metric to judge ones integrity. If you want a sexually chaste girl, marry a virgin. |

Most people hate the truth. But I will keep saying it: the men who whine that women are sexually free or money conscious should complain to their wealthy counterparts or hustle to make money. Men perptueate the system. No demand, no supply. Women fit into the system the men create. Women do not create systems, but fit into what men have created. Arab women behave the way they do because Arabian men dictate how they should behave. If well-to-do men stop patronisng those girls, they will stop doing what they do. It is that simple. Have you ever seen financially comfortable men (whether yahoo or legit work) whine that modern women are too sexually free? |

YungMillionaire: Is there a scenario where Obi clears EVERY single SS and SE state? And then picks up maybe Benue and or Plateau and or Taraba? And then does reasonably well (=>25%) in SW? And put up some 10% performance in the core North?
If this happens, Obi does not need a re-run to win outrightly. Not possible. If so, the combination of him and Atiku in 2019 should have done so, yet such did not happen. Tinubu knows, just like Buhari knew, that he cannot win states in both regions. But he can get the minimum requirement. I am willing to bet he gets that in at least nine states. His chances are high in Delta, Edo, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Cross River, Abia, Enugu, Imo and Ebonyi. Atiku and Obi would have to share the spoils as any who wins them would have a pyrrhic victory. Tinubu gets his 25%, that is all. What PO supporters should wish is not aiming to win both regions outrightly, but Tinubu not to get 25%. The fewer the states he (Tinubu) gets 25% from, the better for PO. Mind you, Obi needs more states to garner 25% from than Tinubu. Atiku will even get that needed 25% more than Obi. The minimum is 25% across 24 states. Could you mention those states Obi can get 25% from? |

So, when you have misfits use their smelly fingers to type Nigerian girls are useless (the same applies to foolish women who say Nigerian men are useless), it tells you the thought process and level of exposure the person has.
