Hmmmn,it a bitter sweet experience for me as a teacher in Ibadan.l teach English Language, Literature, History, Government.l enjoyed teaching a lot because am good at explaining things and breaking it down so that students can have a mental image and deep understanding of what am explaining.

But the pay is too low,infact l really want something better than that for myself.l tried extra lesson but l only get that once in a while.
It not easy to be a teacher at all.Am still hoping and praying for a better and brighter tomorrow for myself.

Hmmmn my first job was teaching,l was understudying a primary 4 teacher and she thought she would be dismissed and l would be given her job so this old witch made up bad stories about me and started spreading it around.last last l became a teacher in another school and pay was meagre but l never give up.

Ibadan is a beautiful city,we have both the urban part you f Ibadan and also the rural part
Talking of areas like our,oje,beere,ogbere and co you will see the rural part.

But if you move further to ring road,dugbe and bodija,sectariat and some part of bashorun and Akobo and co you will know that Ibadan is a modern town with a touch of traditional building and this is why Ibadan is always refer to as an ancient city.

It is a city that hasn't lost it traditional heritage and We Ibadan people are proud of it.

It better they don't buy from you than to be owing you money,some people will use the fact that you are neighbours and be buying things on credit from you therby killing the business and if you don't sell to them they will bad-mouth you to other potential customers.

My brother, am a teacher too and if l am given this opportunity, l wouldn't think twice before l would dump the teaching job asap because teaching job comes with a lot of disadvantages you won't be paid salary on time and you will not be financially capable like some of your mates doing other jobs.

Moreover it better you take any one of the two options given to you because in my own opinion, it is far better than any teaching job whether government owned or private,it will give you the opportunities you can't get in the four walls of a school.lnfact you can work in any of of the job offer you got and later start your own school.
