slimmy2005: You don't need to pen down all the there is in a vocab. Be succinct and concise, your points are what is needed. I am not in anyway saying you should write without a better structure, but truth is they just want to read a statement that reflects and better presents your motivation and how you have excelled in your previous academic or occupational endeavors.
godG, the one and only sub and chief editor... fizzile: No be small thing. Me too don write oooo. These gurus never come online. Abeg where these gurus in da house? We need u guys ooo #ThatsAll. Just make it simple. If you use complex structures without mastery, you lose the ownership of your piece. And don't forget to use the registers of your field. Good luck. I go do like say I no see the 'chief editor' part. For where? |

phatdon4u: Thanks. Tried checking though but non safe few private schools. Can pls u suggest any other states/schools? And also, assistantship is big focus here. Thanks boss A few suggestions: Minnesota State University, Mankato Minnesota State University, Moorehead (not sure of the spelling) St Clouds State University And since MN is in Midwest, you should look at schools in Iowa, Nebraska, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Michigan... Above all, you will do the bulk of your research yourself, no one will help you with that. Best. |

You still don't get the point of if you are outstanding. It is all about your speciality. For exqmple, like i read in the papers about a young man un nigeria who has the talent of manufacturing drones, if that young man should go and study in the US, the americans would not want him to return to africa to bring development they will sponsor so they can use his talent for their comfort and national security. For that kind of person, they have a strong reason to tell the immigration why that man should be given GC. But a person with a degree in for example BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION, what do you want them to tell the immigration as a reason to keep you? That they are not americans who have degrees in BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION?? Sure they won't take that. That is why i said if you are outstanding and your speciality are rare, sure you will be sponsored. Hahaha. In literature, there is something we call ' utopian vision of the future', your post explains it. How many people can build a drone? You seem to have a point, but your point is not in touch with reality. Like I do tell folks, until you get to the 'other side', you won't know everything is complicated. Everything is never as it seems. |

Fablady: Hi there my dearest Sirriddy!!!! I will play Devil's advocate...... In life, u win some, u lose some. You can't get it all. It is not ideal. You getting rejected has given another person a chance to attend that school this year. A person that would have been rejected if you were accepted....and at the end of the day, you would still not accept that offer! Then, it won't be fair at all.
You have a better offer!!!!! Be happy!!!!! There are so many people praying to be in your situation, including me!!! Good luck with that. |
