asadiaboymma: Hello everyone!
Please those that travelled recently I have a question.
Please is it still required to carry some amount of dollars from Nigeria to US?
I ask because my friend is confused since GTB told him that he could use his ATM card there to do normal transactions.
Besides banks no longer sell dollars. He also wants to know if it won't be an issue at the airport Please suggest what he can do.
Please we need help on this regards urgently
TIA. If you are referring to money for upkeep for some weeks before you settle down, I think the maximum you can have on you is $10,000 (not sure). |

sureb0y: Engineering, IT, Healthcare? My first degree isn't related to any of these and I don't think switching from humanities to any of them is possible. Is it? No problem with switching if you are convincing with your reason(s) for doing so. America can make you do quite a few things we consider strange. However, please, don't be pressured into rerouting the course of your life. If you are someone like me - a Nigerian spirit in an American bottle - with 'scores to settle' in Nigeria, go for whatever you want. You won't be stranded for long whenever you get back home. However, if your plan is to stay back, don't "go for whatever you want"! If you do, you will be in for a long(er) walk to fulfilment. #OYO Just ask yourself what you want, then shoot. |

abhosts: Signed for Netflix 3 days ago. Myself and Wifey watched 7 HD Movies, 1 Documentary, and 3 Episodes of a Series. Just within 3 days it has exhausted 60GB of Data from Swift that costs 25k. So I have decided to get rid of Netflix for now.
Nigeria is not Ripe for Netflix until our ISPs begin to Offer Fast and Unlimited Internet Subscription. DSTV appears to be the only Reasonably Priced option for now. We are being cheated in Nigeria. Internet access should be the least of things one should worry about. Honestly, when I consider how 'useless' Internet access is here, I don't feel like returning home. |

Hi everyone,
I have got a question: Please, what is the best (and probably cheapest) way for someone who graduated from a school of nursing to further her studies in the US? I don't know jack about medical/nursing sciences.

imperiouxx: I don't think yellow cabs runs from east brooklyn to port authority in Manhattan. He should look for cabs around the airport. If not that he has bags, train is the easiest and cheapest to Manhattan from Queens. Poor me! I don forget say baba imperiouxx dey NY! I was in NY for some days. Just got back to Madison today. |

sirRiddy: Sorry if this sounds trivial. Please how much do people spend averagely on food as students in the US? Putting into consideration both cooking one's food and eating out. Thanks guys Bigfrancis21 slimmy05 Msnas godG OjaP mystiqme ebdib bbdd Indeed, some days will just require you to eat out. First, the cost of 'eating out' will depend largely on your taste and location. Let me answer using Madison as a standard. Consider the following estimates based on my experience: 1.Cook but often eat out: $90 - 200+ (I'm not in this category!) 2.Cook but occasionally eat out: $90 - 120 (I belong here.) 3.Cook and rarely eat out: $90 - 1054.Cook and never eat out: $90 (or less than) If your expenditure on feeding (yourself) is more than $150 in a month, you are not in category 1, and you live in a relatively 'cheap' city/town, yawa don gas niyen o. |

Is there a way to be born-again and still enjoy life? Bro, being 'born again' doesn't necessarily mean you have to live a spartan life. It only means you are living for what matters, by stopping to be base. |

OjaP: I always respect your mode and style of writing. Since a mirror won't see himself; permit me to highlight some of your qualities:
- No run-on sentences.
- No redundancy (You hit the nail on the head and move on).
- You match your verb tenses always.
- Logical flow
Your strongest point is your ability to use very few words in driving home your point. You are able to summarize a-100 page book in two pages without leaving out or missing the most essential details.

Richmond996: True, run on sentences is always plenty every time I get back my paper from my instructor. E go just highlight them dey go. The good thing is that he let's u re-write To avoid that, always write in simple sentences. Quite a good number of people tend to get prosaic with complex structures. |

Anyways, here is the thing, try to make sure that the address you used to open your bank account tallies with what you filled on the school's online application. I think this should solve it.
