Intercession 2: FATHER, in the name of Jesus, we invoke the vengeance of the Holy Ghost upon all resistances of the devil against the salvation of the unsaved across our harvest field all through this year –

Intercession 4: FATHER, let your hedge of protection be strong around your servant, the Apostle over this Commission, and his family and let every arrow targeted at them return back to sender –
Psa. 89:20-22 I have found David my servant; with my holy oil have I anointed him: 21 With whom MY hand shall be established: MINE arm also shall strengthen him. 22 The enemy shall not exact upon him; nor the son of wickedness afflict him.

Intercession 5: FATHER, in the name of Jesus, cause your acts in this church to be noised abroad as in the day of Pentecost, thereby drafting multitudes into this church this coming Sunday and beyond –
Acts 2:6/41 Now when this was noised abroad, the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language. 41 Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR, has ordered the distribution of more than a million copies of a handbook produced by the Nigeria Police Force on “Revised Standard Operational Guidelines/Rules for Police Officers and Other Law Enforcement Agents on Election Security Duties ahead of the 2023 General Elections.

The 36 paged handbook contains a page for the details of the officer to whom it is issued, a foreword by the IGP, rules on general conduct, duty parade, briefing/debriefing, dress and accoutrement, managing political parties’ convention/rallies, and crowd control, use of force and lethal weapon, escorting and protecting election materials, the procedure of arrest, command and control and other salient electoral security rules.

The strategic distribution covers the Force Headquarters, Zonal and State Police Commands, Formations and trickles down to Units of the Force and Divisional Police Stations to ensure that every police officer will have a copy of the guidelines for ease of reference before the commencement of deployments. Similarly, the IGP has ordered distribution to the Presidency, Ministry of Police Affairs, Police Service Commission, the Military, and all other security agencies engaged alongside the Police in election security management based on their expected deployment for the elections.

The Inspector-General of Police reiterates his expectation that the Police and other security agents involved in election security management will find the handbook to be a valuable operational companion which could act as a standard in holding them accountable in the line of their electoral duties, as all hands must be on deck to actualise the mandate and commitment of the NPF to have free, fair and credible elections in Nigeria.

The Minister of Police Affairs, Dr. Muhammad Maigari Dingyadi has reiterated the support of the Federal Government to INTERPOL and West African Police Information Programme-WAPIS to end crimes in the country, NAOSNP reports.

He stated this during a courtesy visit of the INTERPOL Executive Directorate Police Services, Mr. Kavanagh Stephen to the Ministry Headquarters in Abuja.

The Minister stated that Federal Government has ensured that WAPIS and Interpol were on the ground in the country and they are willing to partner and support the effort the organizations are making to ensure that the country is crime free.

In words, "the issue of criminality in many parts of the country is complex and varies from different locations. We need to put heads together and work as a team to ensure that we have what it takes to check criminality in the country”

He recalled the problems of lack of synergy among security agencies due to the inability to share information despite huge data from different agencies adding that coordinating organizations like WAPIS and INTERPOL have improved cooperation among different agencies in the country.

According to him, “we are working together as a team to ensure that we fight these criminals to the end. On our part, we do whatever it takes to support you and ensure improve police service delivery in the country. We have a lot of criminal issues and we require cooperation and support from anywhere that will assist us to curb these criminalities”.

Earlier the Interpol Executive, Directorate of Police Service Mr. Kavanagh Stephen informed the Minister and security agencies of their strategic outlines mapped out to tackle adding that insecurity the idea of the West African Police Information System (WAPIS) had stemmed from the Member State of the Economic Communities of West African States.

He said in the new world, they look out and see how people projected their arms, and move money, drugs, child abuse, scamming of others, terrorist finance, and their cells across the borders with impunity and the need to stop and disrupt their activities by sharing information.

In his words, “we can use all information from the security, border and intelligence agencies can bring together to share more data effectively across the world. We are not here to have a nice time; we are here to make sure we understand how WAPIS can support West Africa to share data that exist among the security agencies effectively”.

• As 2 suspected armed robbers were killed in Delta

The Commissioner of Police in Delta State Command, CP Ari Muhammed Ali, FCIA, psc+ has advised members of the public to desist from jungle justice as a way of upholding the law. He noted that jungle justice is not the right thing to do but residents should hand over suspects to the Police for diligent investigation and prosecution. National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP gathered this as the death of two suspected armed robbers were recorded in Delta state.

In his press release, the Police PRO in Delta state, DSP Bright Edafe reported the two incidences. 'On 13/01/2023 at about 1645hrs, acting on a tip-off that some suspected notorious armed robbers who have been on the command's wanted list over their involvement in a foiled robbery operation on 23/06/2022 in Orogun community, were seen gathered within the Unukpo - Orogun palm tree plantation. The DPO Orogun division in a proactive move to forestall another attack, mobilized and led police operatives to the area. As they were approaching the scene, the hoodlums opened fire on the Police which the Police equally responded. The hoodlums took to flight due to the superior fire power of the Police but during the ensuing gun duel, the gang leader, one Bobo Ononibe ‘m’ aged 26yrs of Ufuoma Street, Unukpo - Orogun community, Ughelli North LGA sustained serious gunshot injuries, he was taken to the hospital where he was later certified dead by the doctor on duty. One locally made cut-to-size gun, three (03) cartridges, one machete, one dagger, native charms among others were recovered. Efforts are on to arrest the fleeing members of the gang.'

'In another development, on 16/01/2023 at about 1125 hours, the DPO Agbarho Division received a distress call that some members of Ewherhe community Agbarho, Ughelli North LGA, caught a suspected armed robber along Ewherhe/Ovu road with one locally made cut-to-size double barrel gun and one live cartridge, some suspected stolen items which includes, one Iphone 11 pro-max, one HP laptop, one mp3 player and cash sum of eight thousand two hundred and twenty naira (N8,220) and that the suspect was being mobbed. The DPO detailed patrol teams to proceed, on getting to the scene, the mob escaped leaving the suspect badly beaten. Although the suspect was rescued and taken to the hospital, he died while receiving treatment. Investigation is ongoing', NAOSNP gathered.

While applauding the gallantry of the operatives of Orogun and Agbarho divisions for their bravery, the Police Commissioner Ali pleaded with residents to avoid jungle justice.

Contrary to news making the round that the Dangote Petroleum Refinery was set to be commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari on January 24, the latest is that the information is untrue.

National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP can report that this is official, as information from the company says the claim that Aliko Dangote’s $19 billion refinery is to be commissioned on January 24, 2023 is not to be, at least not for now.

The facility, which is situated in Lagos’ Lekki Free Zone, is owned by Aliko Dangote, Africa’s richest man and is estimated to have cost 19 billion, with a daily processing capacity of 540,000 barrels of Nigerian crude oil.

The refinery is anticipated to supply all of Nigeria’s needs for refined products, with a surplus left over for export, opening up a market for $11 billion in petroleum products from Nigeria per year.

What is more, the facility will produce 3 billion standard cubic feet of gas, 65 million litres of premium motor spirits (petrol), 15 million litres of diesel, and 4 million metric tonnes of jet fuel each day.

The Dangote Refinery will be responsible for more than half of Africa’s future refining increases, according to the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries.

The Department of State Services (DSS) has refuted as fake the news making the rounds that the Service invaded the premises of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and effected the arrest of the governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele.

Describing the report as false, the Service's Public Relations Officer, Mr Peter Afunanya, in a statement, made available to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), said "The attention of the Department of State Services (DSS) has been drawn to the false news making the round that its operatives invaded the Central Bank of Nigeria and arrested its Governor... This is fake news and quite misleading."

2023 is here. Of topmost concern to Nigerians in the New Year as always is the issue of safety and security of lives and properties.

This is vitally important in 2023 as a country which is facing deeply crucial, very contentious issues including but not limited to another election cycle and the national census. Others include self-determination agitation such as the recent Ojota crisis, many assassination attempts on prominent Nigerians - former governors, clergymen, businessmen, among others - across the country, and senseless maiming and killing of security officers by nefarious members of society.

The President of National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP),  Oki Samson wants Nigerians from all segments of society to embrace 'Nigeria First' in how they address issues. This is 'so that we would not set the country afire with our conduct and words'.

Oki said: '2023 is an all-important year by all standards for us in Nigeria. The elections, the census, among others are crucial to the welfare of all and sundry. We have to appreciate that peace and security is important like never before'.

'Between last election cycle and this year's, there has been about 50 attacks on INEC facilities. This includes during and post-elections, Endsars protest, unknown gunmen, etc. Must our elections lead to bloodshed? We have to do better in 2023.'

'The recent Ojota crisis is quite unfortunate. Right in the middle of electioneering, self-determination agitations is still very high. If you are recording your vocals from home or in a non-studio environment without a recording engineer, there are basic things you need to know about recording, microphone placement, soundcard, DAW, recording levels, etc in order to capture your performance properly or else STOP RECORDING FROM HOME/HOTEL

But before you quit recording from home lets try again and go over the basics.

First of all, you need following devices and equipment

1. Computer
2. Microphone either dynamic or condenser
3. Microphone Stand (this is very very important) it is usually the common missing piece among artistes recording from home/hotel)
4. Soundcard/ Audio Interface,
5. Pop filter
6. Vox Guard (optional)
7. Headphone
8. Speaker
9. Recording Software (FL studio, Cubase, Pro Tools, Studio One, Logic, etc)
9. Cables and Cords
10. Desk or Table to place all your device.

Here we go

Recording starts from your connection and the cables/cords are the carrier of your inspiration. Make sure they are connected properly. Double check, they can mess up your recordings.

Wrong microphone placement is another issue. Look for the right spot within your space.
Stay away from the room corners and walls as much as possible, especially if there are little or no furniture within the room. This is to reduce reverberation of sound (echo) going into your recordings.

Use pop filter/shield this will reduce or eliminate those popping sounds. (That circular shaped net in front of microphone)

Recording input level is another different palava for most artiste recording from home. The input level is critical. Not everything can be fix in the mix. Make sure you record at a decent input level, clean and clear. Record as if there is no mixing.

The recommended input recording level — is between -18dB and -12dB. Soundcards these days do have input level indicator. When the level is good, it will turn green and when it is too loud which can cause digital clipping, it will turn red ♥️. So monitor input level.

Soundcheck everything before you start your session. Test your microphone, record different part of the song to check the levels in those sections. Music is about dynamic, watch out.
Learn how to use the mic, proximity effect is powerful. Know when to stay close and move away.

On the mic distance and the singer; 6 inches from the mic is a good place to begin; from there, you may adjust your position forward or backward to achieve the desired sound.

And stop using the mic without mic stand (this one is common ohhh)

This part is very very important, because bad recording is a mixing engineer nightmare

Inside the DAW, (Digital Audio Workstation) there are stuff you need to know when setting up your project for recording.
Save properly. Make sure all the necessary files and folders associated with the project are in the same folder, to avoid cases of missing files when you send your data for mixing.

Then set your project tempo/BPM (Beat Per Minute) . I am aware that most of the beat are two track mp3 downloaded online. You can either ask the producer for the tempo information or find it out yourself. There are several ways to get it. (Maybe we talk about it in another thread)

Also know the key signature of the music/beat. This will help you to set your pitch correction plugin (Auto tune) in the right key with the beat. Or else your voice will be sounding like.

And for those of us that japa from music rudiment class in school... You are welcome.

You will need some rudimentary knowledge of music to get some stuff properly. I am not talking about sheet music or notation. Nop. What I am talking about are key and time signatures, scales (major and minor) chords progression, intervals, instruments family, etc.

You will need these rudiment of music class. However, you can learn anything in these age and time . So, if you have any challenges, just Google or YouTube it.

2023 General Elections: IGP Re-trains 79 Squadron Commanders On Tactical Deployments Ahead Of Elections

The Inspector-General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, psc(+), NPM, NEAPS, fdc, CFR, in line with his mandate on training and human capacity development, has commenced a two-week fully residential refresher training for all seventy-nine (79) Squadron Commanders of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force at the Police Mobile Force Training College, Ila-Orangun, Osun State from 9th to 23rd January 2023.

The training programme is geared at strengthening the operational efficiency of the Squadron Commanders and for more effective tactical deployment of their personnel to ensure a secured and hitch-free environment before, during, and after the 2023 General Elections to generally reduce crimes to their barest minimum in Nigeria. Some of the focus of the course includes the use of contemporary riot control gadgets for suppression of riots and other serious disturbances, crowd control techniques, ambush and counter-ambush, diplomatic protection, combating internal security challenges and insurgency as well as gun safety and weapons handling.

The IGP has charged officers and men of the Police Mobile Force (PMF), the punching arm of the Force, to effectively make use of the opportunities the training would offer them and improve on their crime control mechanisms and general safety strategies, especially towards having free, fair and credible 2023 General Elections.

In the same vein, the IGP has met with representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) and the Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs (INL) on Thursday 12th January, 2023, to discuss possible areas of partnership to strengthen the oversight and accountability mechanisms of the Nigeria Police Force including the Complaint Response Unit (CRU) and the Provost Department of the Force. The meeting discussed synergy between the foreign agencies, the Police Reform and Transformation Office (PORTO), the office of the President Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the Police to improve the policing system in Nigeria and handle disciplinary matters judiciously.

The Inspector-General of Police has assured that his administration will collaborate with every sector to sanitize the police towards the achievement of his vision for a people-oriented Nigeria Police.

GPP; What is the core message at WMLC?

WMLC; The core message is to educate people on how media is being used to influence mindsets negatively, and help them gain skills that will liberate their minds and make them immune to further negative influences and reverse those that might have already been embedded.
Because the media on its own is a neutral weapon. It's neither good nor bad. In our day to day consumption of media; TV, social media, radio, you find that the subliminal messages are often negative, even though they have the capacity to be positive, which is about 15 percent, but majority of them have negative subliminal messages and the purpose is to pervert the mindset. WMLC Agenda is to promote positivity and a saner society through the implementation of media literacy for a healthier mindset.

GPP; What are your distribution channels?

WMLC; First off, WMLC offers media literacy courses for schools, churches and individual platforms at a fixed amount. I offer classes for youths, family, children, and of course social media channels, but I'll be releasing my book soon before the end of 2023 by GOD'S Grace. I am constructing an online course. The book is called Perils of Media. It is a wakeup call so to speak, the point is to make people realize they need to be media literate and take them through the process.

GPP; How might different timelines interpret your message?

WMLC; Each generations will have the benefit in which they're able to develop through these media literacy courses and skills.
Basically, all generations need to understand how the media is being used as a tool to promote negativity and dysfunctionality, and thereby seek to be more educated when it comes to media processes and intentions.
Every single generation has the way they approach media, and technology, the children are still in their formative stages and our brains dont stop developing till we're in our twenties. A lot of people are still children even if they think they're adults. They consume a lot more, they're sponges, so any negativity they imbibe at that point can be a defining factor.
If I were to pick one audience to focus more on, I would pick the children, their minds are being utterly consumed. But there is no preference, everybody needs to be media literate.

GPP; What are your WMLC ideals and what do they represent?

WMLC; Our primary Ideal is to promote and bring forth a society in which people are as pristine and as GODly as possible, which all begins with the mindset, ideology, thought process and that is why there is an outreach for liberation, to stop negative mindsets.
If you want to prevent society from being as satanic as possible, repaganized, as it was in the days of Noah, then people need to become media literate. The devil presents himself as a minister of light
There is an agenda, the world is spiritual, there is the good side, GODly side and there's the bad side, and they both have a message.
GOD is trying to promote unity, love and peace, devil is trying to promote hate, selfishness, division and they both use channels to get their messages across.

It's been alarming how successful they have been pushing out negative messages.
They are absolutely brilliant, superb, topnotch because they have been very successful in pushing out negative messages. I've said many times when I'm speaking that they are very intelligent people, geniuses, but choose to use their genius for evil, for negative things.
People need to be aware of this so that they dont fall victim and they don't live a life that conforms to the negativity that they're being influenced towards. They're not spending billions of dollars just to entertain you. There needs to be enlightenment.
They have already bowed to a higher power, they are minions simply pushing out satan's agenda, mainstream media is satanic, Hollywood is satanic, they dont hide what they're doing because they know they have the power to.
Nobody's going to compete with them, they've monopolized the media industry, bringing out whatever messages that they choose.

Also present at the launch, the wife of[b] AIG Bode Adeleke, Mrs. Modupe Adeleke[/b] prayed: 'Dr. Ayo, this is a very laudable idea. I pray that GOD will back it up. Everything you need to impact lives, GOD will give you and your siblings. And I pray that your relationship with your siblings, GOD will continue to perfect it.'

Some of the friends of the family who experienced the goodwill of the parents while alive also spoke. Mr. Sunkanmi Taiwo said 'Daddy is a disciplinarian and you have to follow his rules. He is passionate about education. When I lost my dad in secondary school, he called me and said that it is not the end of life but I should make up my mind to study. The school that I started after my school is by God's Grace now an established school and the first teacher that I employed is Abbey Ogunsan.'

Also, Mr. Bamidele said: 'I remember I use to go to their house and there is no time that the mom will not give me food while the dad would also encourage me. My dad and theirs were colleagues at defunct Nigeria Airways.'

Another friend, Mr. Tomiwa said: 'I happen to be Daddy's boy. If I am not in school, he will find out. He is very passionate about education. You just have to read. Dad also intervened when I got admission to University of Maiduguri and my mom didn't want to release money.'

Describing the essence of the AKEM Foundation, the CEO of Executive Group who is the eldest child of the family, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan noted that the idea is built on the value system and high moral standards that their parents, the late Akinola and Emiola, instilled in them which has shaped them into the individuals they have become.

Recalling the strictness of his late Dad Akinola, Dr. Ayo Ogunsan said: 'We call him Baba soldier, my dad is a military man by all standards and till today when I want to deviate, I hear this man's voice and I do tell my wife and children. This man was completely in charge of our lives. There was a particular day that he was reading to us and we were not getting it and he punished us so much that my mom screamed from outside 'don't kill my children for me'. Then he asked us which of us wanted to go join our mom outside, we all said 'no, sir'.

Dr. Ogunsan also used the opportunity to address the worrisome downturn of parental responsibility. He advised that parents need to maintain discipline because there seems to be a generational problem in which parents in a bid not to appear strict are losing grips and the children are losing the sense of respect, morality, and instruction.

He then thanked everyone present at the event. He also gave a public admiration of his siblings, 'these ones are precious gifts to me. I will do all within my powers to make sure I keep them jealously. Our children are not permitted to fight battles, their generation is a generation of blessing.'

ABUJA

Operatives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has arrested arrested five suspects for vandalising bridges in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

In a press statement e-signed and released to the National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP by the Corps' Spokesperson, DCC Olusola Odumosu stated that, "In a renewed determination aimed at protecting Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI), the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), arrested five suspects for vandalising bridges in Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)".

According to the statement, "Members of the criminal syndicate were arrested following credible information and surveillance mounted by the Directorate of Intelligence and Investigation (DII) Crack Squad from the National Headquarters of the Corps with the support of other stakeholders."

Recovered from the suspects are vandalised 5 inches galvanized pipes (5 mm), angle irons and a hand saw which was used in carrying out the destruction.

It was uncovered that most of the suspects are artisans whose activities are domiciled around the crime scene which is located close to the headquarters of Federal Mortgage Bank, Central Business District, Abuja.

Recall that, the Commandant General of NSCDC, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, worried by the incessant vandalism and theft of manhole covers on roads in the FCT, Abuja, directed operatives of the Corps to redouble their efforts in ending the menace.

Following this directive, officers and men of the Corps immediately evolved new measures and renewed determinations to protect CNAI in the country nationwide; a move which resulted in the arrest of the suspects who confessed to having carried out the dastardly at night.

The Corps equally intensified collaborations and engagements with other security agencies, stakeholders and well-meaning Nigerians and it has started yielding positive results.

The arrested suspects are Abdullahi Bello, 18, Suleja LGA, Niger State, Julius David Madaki, 18, Sanga LGA, Kaduna State, Gambo Clement, 18, Sanga LGA, Kaduna State, Sadiq Abdullahi, 24, Billiri LGA, Gombe State and Abdulaziz Aliyu 25, Sanga LGA Kaduna State. A discreet investigation into the matter has commenced and would be followed by diligent prosecution of the suspects.

The Corps is on the trail of other members of the criminal gang who are currently at large and very soon, it's assured that, they will be arrested and brought to justice.

Protection of critical national assets and infrastructure is the core mandate of NSCDC and the Corps is determined to deliver alongside other mandates to justify its existence.

Vandals of bridges are warned to desist from this nefarious act of vandalising galvanised pipes and aluminium used in the construction and reinforcement of bridges or risk arrest and possible jail terms as security is beefed up around those public utilities by the eagle-eyed operatives of the Corps.

Vandalism of bridges constitutes great risks and dangers to the lives of users as they could fall to their untimely deaths unknowingly. A bridge could also collapse once it becomes weakened by the destruction of its various parts which makes it structurally deficient at some points.

The government is investing heavily in infrastructural development in the country and has provided bridges amongst other public utilities to ensure safe mode of passages or movements for citizens of different social and economic classes and also, to enrich the environment.

Citizens are enjoined to join hands with security agencies in ensuring protection and safety of lives and Public Infrastructure by giving useful and timely information to the Corps or any of the security agencies once anyone or groups of people are sighted vandalising them.

Following the brutal murder of seven personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) by bandits in Kaduna, the National Association of Online Security News Publishers (NAOSNP), has commiserated with the Commandant General of the outfit, Ahmed Abubakar Audi, and the rank and file for the unfortunate loss.

Speaking through a statement signed by the Association's Public Relations Officer, Mr Eric Elezuo, the body described the killing as one death too many and unfortunate, noting that wiping out Security operatives in the manner is not acceptable. 

"We commiserate and mourn with the Commandant General of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), officers and men of the Corps over the gruesome and unfortunate killing of seven officers while on active duty of protecting lives and property. 

"While we totally condemn the senseless murder of men, who are protecting Nigerian citizens, we pray that Almighty GOD give you all the fortitude to bear the loss, and bounce back to reckoning, in the task of protecting lives and infrastructure," the statement reads.

The Association further tasked the Corps and other sister agencies to put in the works to ensure that perpetrators of the dastardly act are brought to book within a short period. They also charged the Corps not to give in to intimidation as evil will not be allowed to triumph over good.

"This is surely a trying time for the Corps and security agencies, which may have suffered loss in the ambush, but you must not allow the act to derail your focus, but let it be the tonic needed to wipe out any trace of insecurity wherever they may exist. Evil must not triumph over good, and every hand must be on deck to ensure that those who do not want the nation to enjoy peace are made to pay the price," Elezuo said.

The statement further quoted the president of the Association, Oki Samson, as lending his voice to console family and friends of the slain officers, asking GOD to grant them heart to bear the terrible loss.

It would be recalled that on Monday, seven personnel of the Corps were ambushed and killed at Birnin-Gwari, Kaduna, while on national assignment just as another four died in a fatal road accident on the same day.

Initiated and funded by the Ogunsan siblings comprising Dr. Ayo Ogunsan, Abbey Ogunsan, Lady Aduke Aina and Folorunsho Ogunsan, the AKEM Foundation will support pupils, empower people just as their parents were passionately doing for people while they were alive.

The AKEM Foundation was launched by the Ogunsans last Sunday 8th January in Lagos with the esteemed presence of friends, families, and well-wishers. The AKEM Foundation will be giving out sums of money to support indigent pupils and young graduates to succeed in life. The organization will be administered by Dr. Mrs. Ajoke Ogunsan. For this first year, four organizations - SAMDOK Private School, Goshen Homes Orphanage, Smiles for the Orphans and Orphanage Initiatives, and Christ Light Special Mission for the Deaf - got N250,000 each at the official launch ceremony.

The initiative was hailed as a veritable way to immortalize the late parents rather than to throw lavish parties. Many attendees and beneficiaries at the event who spoke with
Trek Africa immensely applauded the thoughtfulness and kindness which has made the 4 Ogunsan's to birth the initiative.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the occasion, the AIG in charge of Zone 2, AIG Bode Adeleke hailed the Ogunsan's insight for the initiative. 'It is a laudable thing to do. Our parents, Akinola and Emiola passed away about 19, 15 years ago. And the children are still remembering them. They are not only remembering them, they want to ensure they have good legacies. Special thanks to God Almighty that has put it in their minds. I pray the Lord will give them the enablement to see it to fruition.'

'It is worth emulating and worth supporting. I have lost my parents too. I am going to go back to my family and start something.'

In the same vein, the Commissioner of Police, Lagos Command, CP Abiodun Alabi said: 'I want to appreciate the children for bringing this together and remembering their parents for who they are and particularly for celebrating them. I want to enjoin them to keep the flag flying. What we are doing today is worth commending.'

On his part, CP Fayoade Adegoke noted about the initiative, 'even though the parents are gone, some of you will agree with me that their spiritual support. In the course of life, you feel that your mother and father are there with you. I pray for Dr. Ayo and the siblings that no evil will befall them, the spirit of their parents will continue to be with them. As they made this commitment to uniquely honour their parents, honour will not depart from them anywhere they go.'

The Nigeria Police, Rivers State Command over last weekend, Saturday 7th January 2023 acting on credible intelligence available to operatives of the C4I Intelligence Unit raided two houses where victims of child trafficking were being kept. The houses were located in Igwuruta and Omagwa communities of the state. The operation led to the freeing of 10 trafficked victims, National Association of Online Security News Publishers, NAOSNP reliably gathered.

The Rivers State Command Police PRO, SP Grace Iringe-Koko noted about the raid in a press statement made available to NAOSNP, 'In the operation, the suspects were arrested by the police operatives: Favour Bright 'F', 30 years old, from Umudioga Community in Emohua Local Government Area of Rivers State, and Peace Alikoi 'F', 40 years old, from Igwuruta Community in Ikwere Local Government Area, who is the leader of the trafficking syndicate, Noble Uzuchi 'm' 17 years old and Chigozie Ogbonna 'm' 29 years old'

On the other hand, 'the victims rescued in the operation are Ten (10) most of them pregnant they include: Gift Saviour ‘F’ 19yrs from Umudioga Community in Ikwere Local Government Area, Favour Charles ‘F’ 23yrs from Abale Community in Obingwa LGA of Abia State, Joy Monday ‘F’ 21yrs from Bumy Community Gokana Local Government Ares Rivers State, Chiagoro Nice ‘F’ 19yrs from Ndas Community Etche Local Government Area, Blessing Francis ‘F’ 28yrs from Ngwa Community Ikot Ekpene Local Government Area Akwa Ibom State, Joy Emmanuel ‘F’ 29yrs from Ikot Obiom Community in Nsit Ibiom Local Government Area Akwa Ibom State, Precious Kalu ‘F’ 25yrs from Umudioga Emohua Local Government Area Rivers State.'

Although investigation is still ongoing, it has revealed that when the victim delivered, the syndicate leader would keep the baby while she pays the victim a sum of Five Hundred Thousand Naira (N500, 000:00). All the victims confessed that they have been lured to the illicit sales of children because of the need to meet some financial challenges. Honda Pilot Jeep with Reg. Number, Lagos, FST 607 AX, white was recovered from the syndicate leader.

However, the case has been transferred to the State CID and efforts are being intensified to track and arrest the buyers of the children already sold out. The Command wishes to reaffirm its commitment to reducing crime and criminality in all its forms to a bare minimum. Seven personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) were ambushed and killed alongside 5 others from a sister security agency and local security service.

The personnel who were attached to the Kaduna State Ministry of Mines were ambushed and killed by bandits while on official duty at a mining site in Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna State.

The sad incidence took place on Monday 9th of January 2023, at about 10.00hrs at the Kuriga mining site in Birnin Gwari LGA of Kaduna State.

After the attack, the bandits carted away riffles of the slain operatives and the remains of the slain officers and men have been recovered and deposited at the Barau Diko Hospital Kaduna.

The Commandant General, Dr Ahmed Abubakar Audi, mni, OFR, described the unfortunate incident as a big loss to the Corps, families of the slain victims and the nation.

He commiserates with the families and friends of the deceased and prays that God grants them the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

In honour of the slain personnel, the CG has directed that the Corps' flag be hoisted at half-mast and that a national prayer involving both Christians and muslims be organized at the Corps National headquarters, Abuja, to pray for GOD'S protection for all officers and men of the Corps in the new year and avert a recurrence of such awful incident.
